I bought a shark fishing reel thinking they fully spooled it to the the top 1st picture.Turns out when I was letting shark baits out the line was really loose and I had to put the line on tight by myself and turns out there’s on 2/3 of line actually on the reel 2nd picture everything else is great though👍

I was really impressed with the selection of gear that was available in such a small space. The staff was very patient, knowledgeable, and eager to help. I was looking at Costa sunglasses, and the nice woman working behind the counter noticed me. She came over and quickly picked out several styles that were my size. Even though I didnt end up purchasing them, she was still very nice about it and helpful. I continued to browse, and a guy behind the counter noticed me looking at reels. He quickly showed me a few different models, and I did end up buying a nice reel at an average price for that model (Im a deal hunter that will spend a little more to support a small business). They were pretty busy, but still helped a lot without pestering me. Serious fishermen should check them out.

They are nice enough and eager to help however if your going there for anything 2A related be prepared to pay top of the market prices. The have an excellent stock of almost everything however I think the large supply is for a reason, its too expensive. I was looking for several things, looked at a lot different items, and left without buying anything. Everything is 30-50% higher than most other places. Save your time and go to Walmart, Academy Sports, Rural King, or even Cabellas.

If you are a sportsman, check this out. A well established shop that truly meets the needs of the outdoorsman. Worth a stop.

Have been going here since moving to Jacksonville a year ago. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Always well stocked. Prices are reasonable. I bought a new rod and reel and Tuna.. yes thats his name... Helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I had a small problem with the rod that might seem insignificant but when I spend $170 on a rod it must be right. They exchanged without a problem. I love this place. It is far superior to any of the big box chains.

The Fly shop is def one of my favorite places to go, and Andrew is a great guy and salesman, he def knows fly fishing and always has a good conversation, I stop by weekly just to say high and spend a few bucks, He helped me select a great performance rod (Scott Sector 8wt) and it has been a phenomenal tool for flood tides and backwater fishing ... I will continue to bring my business here because of him ...I highly recommend local fly fisherman to swing by and enjoy a good conversation and as always to shop local ...

I was in the market for a kayak. Spoke to Rick about dates they would arrive. He was excellent at letting me know dates he was told they would arrive. Kept in touch and called me a day ahead of arrival.The customer service as always was excellent. Took the time to go over option and make sure I would be happy with my purchase . The entire team took time to see if we needed anything else and even took items to the car and happily loaded and tied down the kayakOverall experience was excellent. Just getting back into fishing and Dalton was extraordinarily helpful. He took the time explain each of his carefully thought out recommendations for fishing in and around the ICW. The selection was impressive and I plan to be back to add on to our fishing starter kit in the very near future.

Before becoming a customer of Strike Zone, I was constantly getting skunked. I had the wrong gear and was employing the wrong techniques. That all changed after meeting Dalton. He set me up with gear that will last and took the time to explain the techniques I should employ when targeting Kingfish Offshore and even how to rig my gear properly. Really good selection, almost better than most of the tackle shops out there. However, for me personally, it seems a tad expensive. Staff are nice, not very forthcoming with information but they’re not rude by any means. I’d definitely give it a visit if you haven’t been.

Very impressive high quality items. Grands go to get lures and the ocean stuffed animals. Youngest grand sons fav place. Super friendly. Separate fly fishing store but we didnt visit that one. Its a must see. Especially the cat as my 5 yr old grand son states.

Rick back in the hunting department is a really great resource. Theres so many cool things in the store, its hard to put my finger on one cool part, but as a hunter, I can say the only suggestion Id have is to expand hunting. I know their favorite thing is boating and fishing, and since were in Florida, this makes sense.

Got a big trip and some tournaments coming up and wanted to change up our lure colors in our skirts for the Bahamas run we are doing. I live in Georgia and use to keep our boat in Jacksonville, FL but recently moved it to the Space Coast. I knew the color and pattern I wanted to go with but either couldnt find the exact look or there was going to be a wait for them to restock for availability. I use to always use Strike-zone fishing for all my lures and terminal tackle but not being in Jacksonville anymore was going to create a problem. I sent my buddy Dalton who works at Strike-Zone Fishing a text and told him what I was looking for. In literally 15 minutes, he had my skirts ready for shipping. Thats how good these folks are!! Try calling Amazon up or China and try telling them youre in a bind for a color combination. Theres something to be said for supporting our local businesses, even if theyre 4 hours away!! Had a fantastic experience here. Capt Andrew helped me pick out a fishing kayak for my first kayak and was incredibly friendly. Gavin was crucial in helping me getting it loaded up and strapped in. Tuna in the fishing section got me set up with a perfect rod and reel. Im a relative newbie (always using someone elses gear) with fishing and he walked me through everything, gave me plenty of recommendations, answered all my questions, and worked in my budget. Could not have asked for a better experience all around.

Came to Strike Zone to outfit our newly purchased boat with brand new rods and reels. Dalton was extremely knowledgeable and worked diligently to get our new tackle set up and ready to go. This place has the best selection of tackle in NE Florida and their employees are professionals at what they do.

Had to go grab something for the husband, OK, get there, a few others inside. Clerks behind the counter, chatting, 👌. Im waking up and down the aisles, I call the husband, he lets me know where it maybe. 😉. Clerks still chatting to one another. Make no effort to ask me if they can help. Finally Im about to give up, the clerk is like, can I help you find something, I explain, he dismisses me as if I do not know what Im asking for, tries to direct me to something my husband already said wasnt it. Then acts like Im in the wrong. And the prices in this store. Omg. Out of sight. Went to Academy and paid a 3rd of the price for the same exact item.

Stopped by because I had heard they had ammo. Was pleasantly surprised to find a really cool fishing and surf shop with some hunting stuff in the back. Prices are average. Staff is helpful and friendly. Selection is great, on all counts.

I decided to begin fly fishing and watching countless hours of YouTube videos left me with more questions than answers. I stopped by Strike Zone and Captain Andrew Mizell immediately put me at ease. Great experience setting up a new bow with Rick in archery department. Extremely knowledgeable and very interested in helping me build my first bow. Went in to get a new reel . The guy that helped me wasn’t that helpful. Kinda rude I felt like he didn’t think I was going to buy anything. To be real if I could have found the reel somewhere else. Fantastic people, great store. They have all kinds of fishing gear. Any fishing nut can get lost for hours. They also carry ammo and archery stuff. Recently bought a Vibe Sea Ghost 130 kayak from there, and couldnt be happier. They treat you exceptionally well, and make you feel like they want you there. Some stores are just going through the routine, but Strike Zone really cares about their customers. Im a huge fan already, and they will be getting a LOT of my business from now on. There is no elitism like some stores can have. They seem to treat everyone like someone important. This is definitely a pro fishing shop, but you dont have to be a pro to enjoy shopping here. Everyone on any level can come in and get the same level of service and help with their purchases. I highly recommend Strike Zone. Go give them your business. They deserve it!

Not friendly and not forthcoming with information. We are from out of town and we stopped in to buy some tackle and ask about offshore fishing. The guy I talked to acted like I was an idiot for not knowing what was going on and didnt tell me anything except to buy a map and use it to find a place to fish. Not a good experience.

This is the place to go for information or purchases on what is needed to fish in salt water in N/E Florida. They also sell hunting equipment. Merchandise is as good as it gets and pricing is competitive with local or online stores. Dave Workman and his staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and drop what they are doing to help. My wife and daughters also shop there and have the same results. Dave has been associated with offshore fishing most of his life and supports local fisherman through seminars and fishing clubs from Fernindina to St Augustine. You cannot go wrong here.

This store has it. If they don’t have it it’s because it does not work. They have a range of fishing equipment for the budget fishing man to the money is not object guy and everything in between.

Went to Strike-Zone today for my first time after a misunderstanding at a tent sale. David knew my name on site, all I could say is I died and went to heaven. The service was great the selection was amazing I was taken away by it all. David truly cares about his business being there on a Sunday stocking shelves still taken the time to speak with me and am very glad I gave them a second chance. Google doesnt have a 10 out of 10 for so I can only give 5.Very Impressed and will definitely return.

As always, the crew at Strike Zone is on top of any tackle questions from freshwater to blue water and any fisheries in between. I met with Rick in the archery department. He was highly knowledgeable. He was attentive to my questions and was able to educate me in regards to a crossbow purchase. He taught me how to use the crossbow I selected.This is by far the best place around for archery needs
