It was Ok ! The Assistant was helpful but the Owner needs to go to class for Customer Service to learn how to treat Customers that are paying to establish their business.

Extremely inflated prices a piece of professional equipment should not be almost double the retail price that’s readily available almost everywhere. Staff has kinda rude. I love to support local businesses but not likely to go back there.

I hate this store. Inconveniently, it’s the closest to my house. These people are very rude to their customers and you are not able to touch ANYTHING without being yelled at even if you are considering the purchase. They don’t take accountability for any mistakes they make and wigs are never true to fit. They look good on the mannequin but every single one of them have rising scalps no matter the hair quality, new and professional owners may give this place some value

The store owner or manager is really rude. They follow you around like you are a thief. I understand that theyve had a lot of theft but its really uncomfortable. I shopped there only because its my last resort. Prices should match their customer service. Do not shop here!

I have never gone into a business and heard we dont take old hundred dollar bills!! Its good enough for the bank to give people but not to purchase things at this store. Put a sign on the door or something.

They kicked out a woman with cancer who was there to buy a wig, who had just undergone major surgery, because they dont allow strollers and she was unable to carry her kid. When she told them that they said that wasnt their problem. Dont give a penny to these gross people

I was recently in the Argyle area and decided to stop in this location to see what they had in stock. The store was clean and organized. You can tell they were limited on their stock because some of their shelves were empty. I was in this store for 30 minutes looking around at their wig selection and styles before anyone acknowledged me. I accidently touched one of their wigs and you would have thought I violated it. The lady working behind the sales counter said loudly dont touch the hair. There is a sign in front of you. Okay, my fault. The one person working the sales floor was an older lady who when I asked her about one wig on display proceeded to tell me we do not give discounts even though I did not ask for one nor did it come up in our brief interaction. Needless to say they did not make a good impression. Their customer service is poor at best. The store has a lot of potential but they need the right people working and managing it. Will I return to this location? Absolutely not. Will I recommend it ? Nope. Not at all. I would suggest shopping at a different store all together.

I purchased a eyeliner for $1.99 last night from Beauty Max. When I got home I noticed it was broken. Went there today to exchange the eyeliner with my receipt and the lady have the nerves to say are you sure you got it from here because we just got those and went to check the others to show me they were not broken. I told her to take a look at the receipt it has all.the details listed and why would she think I would come all the way back there for a $2 eyeliner. She gave me another one but acted like she didnt want too. I told her the way she acted she dont have to worry because I will not be back and walked out. They really need to learn some customer service skills and stop being so disrespectful to their customers. I will nit send another cent there.

I would never patronize this store again. I got to the store at 5:55pm. The store sign and online say they close at 6p. I pulled the door, it was locked. An employee came walking towards the door so I figured she was about to let me in. Right behind her was the owner he cut the lights off, pushed her out the way and locked the door. I said, Wow... its not even 6pm yet. He said nothing while walking to his car. Considering my coins means nothing to him, Ill never shop with them again. Not to mention its the black dollars that keep them in business. I wish I knew where a BO beauty supply store was at in Jax. The last one close to me closed 2 years ago.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner didnt wanna help with any questions. Went to shop for a wig... some thing quick. I found one immediately that was cute. So I got ready to touch the wig to see how the hair feels and the owner comes and tells me you cant touch any of the wigs or try any on. Who buys some thing with out checking texture. Smh.

Lip gloss is great and the edge brush works also the eyebrow razor is great. Weave is great as well this is probably the only one I go to.

Very nice people. Knew their store and product well. They had supplies that other supply stores didnt. I found them after visiting 2 other stores which left me to weep and moan.

I had to make a quick run to purchase rubber bands in between clients, I forgot my mask in my suite. As I approached I realized I forgot my mask, I read that it can be purchased for $2 so I walked in to and headed straight to the counter to purchase the mask. I was immediately told to leave due to not having mask, I said said I’d like to put one. The Asian woman( I’m assuming is the owner )said to still step out they’ll bring it to me, I did that and she came back saying they cannot service me because I’ll have to put my PIN number in to pay for it and shut the door.They lack professionalism, curtesy and customer service. I walked in with the intent to purchase a mask along with what I needed, yet I was turned away. ZERO STARS!!!!!

I will never purchase hair from here again. The staff is rude, they have their employees follow you to make sure your not stealing. Also they have a new policy, if you have braids on your head you can not try on the wig. I ask the owner if they wig does not look right and it’s in good condition can I exchange? She told me no! 🤦🏽‍♀️

I was sold a defective hairdryer and they would not let me get a refund or an exchange. They claim that the return policy said that I was not able to return electronics but no where on the receipt did it state that. Three employees witnessed the hairdryer not turning on and still did not allow me to even get an exchange. Ive worked in the electrician field for some time now and I know when an electronic is faulty and has bad wiring. The inexperienced employee suggested I should keep pressing the reset button on the hairdryer to get it to work.That is not good practice when dealing with a faulty electronics which can cause your own electricity in the home to trip when you plug in faulty electronics with bad wiring. Faulty electronics can also cause fires within the home as well. A hairdryer is supposed to automatically turn on when plugged in and turned on. I will not patronize here any longer because of their bad customer service and faulty hairstyling equipment.

The only reason I ever come to this store is because it is so convenient to where I live, and I am in immediate need of something. If I am out running errands and there is another beauty supply store to choose from than I would rather go there. This store has always been unprofessional. It has always surprised me how so many young, African-American girls (that obviously go to get their hair styled as well) never know any of the answers to your questions. Or they claim not to. Maybe they dont want someone else looking better than them; who knows. I also find it unprofessional because much of the time the workers are standing around gossiping or are either on their phone.

I’ve been coming here for the past couple of months to get hair supplies for my hair appointments. The selection and prices I would say is just fair but it’s in a convenient location to my house and hair appts. After today I will no longer do business here. I’m nine months pregnant and wobbled in grab a basket to get supplies. I asked if there was a restroom I could you and one of the girls on the floor said yes before asking another lady I assumed the owner that said no. By no means am I asking for pity because I’m pregnant but this lady has even joked and laugh with me on my monthly visits and I as a regular and paying customer I can’t use your restroom. I left humiliated. I will never return to this establishment.

The sign CLEARLY says they close at 8pm. I arrived at 7:40 and the rep/worker was locking the door. Saw me and didnt care to make the sale. Walked off and kept doing what she was doing. Bad customer service and false advertisement. If you close at 7:45 or whatever then let the sign reflect just that. I will never go back!!! I am going to start spending my money with people that look like me! Mistreating your #1 customers who keep you in business is not the way to go. I dont see many Anglo Saxon or Caucasian people walking up in there buying too much of anything.....

Beware of this younger Chinese women, she will charge you more if you dont ask the price first. She is very nasty and will charge you more for the item a few dollars more, she is a thief.

This store is smaller than the others. Truly a neighborhood store. Therefore they have less to choose from. They have 2 short rows of straight hair on tracks and 1 side of a row of curly hair. They dont greet you when you enter the store and even less help when you have questions. They dont even look your way. I only go here when I need basic products for the family. If you are looking for a specific brand and/or color, itll be a hit or miss on either of your desires.

The sign on the door states it closes at 8 p.m. I arrived at 7:50 and not only did she lock the door right in front of my face, she (Asian descendant) turned around and walked away. As if I was invisible. They are rude and their prices are TOO high! I prefer Beauty Depot anyways!

Coming from someone who has worked in a hair store for 5 years and a FABULOUS one at that...You all need to change your busted ass 10min prior to closing sign, post it on your website, TURN THE OPEN SIGN OFF and not turn a BUYING $$ customer away 13min til! Not too upset...they NEVER have what Im looking for anyways...literally my last resort! Up your inventory and your STAFF!! Horrible!! Sad...this is my first review ever!

Everyone else is friendly but the Asian lady has a real attitude problem wont shop here again warning other barbers to avoid as well clippers are over priced but the attitude of the lady is what lost my buisness

The young girls that work there have very poor customer service skills and do not greet customers.

Will not shop here again. My three year old son had to use the restroom badly. Instead of the owner refusing nicely. She (asian owner) waves her hand harshly and refused my son without heistation. If Im not humane enough to use your restroom, I will take my business esle where. The black woman was really nice and seem sympathetic. More black hair stores are needed!

I bought a wig and not even within a hour i try to return wasnt what i wanted. Didnt open it or anything have the receipt and they say i cant get my money back or exchange it. So basically i lost $50. First time customer and last.

I must agree with the previous reviewer. This location NEVER has anything when I go to the store. The bad part is this is not an inner city location so it’s basically the only “African American” hair store within a 15-20 mile radius. The best location to me in the Jax location is the one on Cassat Ave as they always have what I need. It does suck but hopefully the owner will take the concerns of the people and do better at being stocked with the supplies it’s customers need.

Don’t go to this store, the owner told me to leave my baby on the stroller at the door and they were so rude

If there was an option for no stars that would definitely be their score. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Jacksonville and after today I will never return. Being followed for no reason! Yeah I’ll take my business elsewhere.
