The name threw me off.... La Salsa sounded like a Spanish market but, when I went inside it was an Asian market. Perfect! My wife is from the Philippines and La Salsa has fresh Pompano for only $2.99 per pound and fresh shrimp and other seafood. There food selection is good and multi Asian cultural..so, you should be able to find what you need. We go there for basic supplies like rice, noodles, seafood, soy sauce etc. Aisles are a little narrow but that allows them to squeeze more shelving space in. If in the area... would recommend you stop in to shop around.

Great place to get affordable Asian foods and produce. You can get many hard to find items. Fruits and vegetables are very fresh. The store is well sectioned, but the aisles are very narrow and a lot of the products dont have a price label. The seafood section can be very hit or miss. One time I went, there were dead crabs on the live blue crabs bin.

Today i went there and wow so much changes! Seems very organized this time with new shelves/racks. I wish they sell more Indonesian products not only Indomie, so we dont need to drive to Dong A Orlando where there are lots Indonesian products (Munik seasoning especially). Glad you improve the shopping experience.

I was here today. If I can do zero star I would. Inconsistency in prices. No sticker price. The price of seafood is different once the cashier puts it in. Very few items $64? Overpriced snacks. Why because covid? Newsflash lady the supply chain is back. The store stinks. I bought Purple Yam Goldilocks shortbread cookies which are hard and old. Guess what? Cant return all sales final! If you want to be robbed blind come to this store.

Dont let its name mislead you. La Salsa Market is a proper Oriental grocery store, replete with seasonal fresh Asian and Hispanic fruits and vegetables, Asian and Middle Eastern pantry staples, an exhaustive selection of bulk-sale ramen noodles, and even a fishmongers section that features fresh seafood on ice. This market brims with Oriental produce and products, and a first-time visit could be sensory overload for the uninitiated, but the intrepid cook may find just what they are looking for, and at a fair market price. The larger-sized bags of rice are competitively priced, and so are the various types of dried noodles. An especially notable good buy is the Squid brand fish sauce in plastic bottles, and also the 24-pack case of Sapporo Ichiban ramen noodles available in the most popular soup flavours--but unfortunately not chowmein flavour. As frequenters of all good and properly stocked Oriental grocers may know, customer service is not necessarily a focus of these sort of establishments, and La Salsa is no exception. The customer service, while generally pleasant and cheerful, can be unintentionally brusque. For quality Asian ingredients at competitive prices, La Salsa Market is Jacksonvilles local gem.

Don’t be fooled by the name, this is a great Asian grocery store. Possibly the best in the Jacksonville area.A wide variety of fresh choices in produce, seafood, and meats along with a very well stocked grocery section with a dizzying variety of Asian spices, noodles, canned goods etc etcThe seafood can sell out fast so get there early in the day or call ahead if you are wanting something specific like whole snapper or crabs.Highly recommended!

This is an interesting store.it has a lot of fresh produce as well as fresh fish market. They have every kind of seasoning and flavoring you could ever want, along with different kinds of treats and snacks. The frozen section has all kinds of really good foods that range from frozen desserts to instant heat-and-eat meals and snacks. I did find that the store is kind of cramped but there is a lot of stuff put into this location so take your time, walk around, you never know what kind of cool treats you might find.

The Good: huge selection of produce and dried goods with very competitive prices. They usually have all the spicy noodles available at the best price Ive found. The Bad: a lot-A LOT- of items arent priced which is super frustrating because they wont stick to the same price every time. One week noodles are $.89 the next $1.99. They sell out-of-date items. Always check the date. Even though they have a wide variety of produce, its not always fresh. I dont trust their refrigeration temp. Its incredibly difficult to maneuver, the aisles are always full of boxes and two carts cannot pass each other in the tiny aisles.Over-All: I would recommend this store even with all the issues they have simply because you should be able to find almost anything youre looking for and the prices are very fair. Just shop with caution.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. My first time shopping there only because I was on that side of town. I usually shop at my local Asian market. Went inside and only bought three items. Longan and two Vietnamese ham. Total came to almost $58!! Longan is expensive which is normal but not for ham!! Never going back here again. Please watch carefully when checking out. You can tell this happen to a lot of people in the other reviews. Owner doesnt care because she responds by saying theyre not robots. But what are we?? Money doesnt grow on trees. If you want money, dont rob your customers, rob the bank!!

Super fresh Asian and Hispanic produce and a wide array of ethnic shelf goods are packed into every square inch. The grocery section is predominantly Filipino, Vietnamese and Thai but you can source Korean and Chinese pantry staples as well. Great variety of rices including sweet (white or brown), red and both regular and broken jasmine. The very narrow aisles dont allow for a regular buggy - they provide tiny cart frames that hold a box or basket. Grab one from the parking lot as they are often out at the door.

They have a lot of stuff but OMG very disorganized! A lot of stuff dont even have pricing labeled. Its so packed in here. Narrow aisle and basically only one cart can go through at a time. Seriously, this store has a lot of potential if only they are a little bigger in size, more organize shelves, all produce and stuff should have pricing labeled etc. Most of the sale stickers are really good price but they expires this month or the next month you buy it. There should be someone assisting customers in the seafood area as well to make it smooth since its already crowded in that area to begin with.

A great find! Everything for Asian meal, the store is packed shelves all over the place. All kinds of Specialties in the freezers including flying fish eggs. great deals on packaged seaweed snacks and spring roll wrappers of every kind, more than I ever knew existed. Plenty of fresh seafood and a nice variety of vegetables and mushrooms. You cant beat the price. Im fortunate to have an idea what Im looking for but its not all that hard to figure out. This is now my go-to place for Japanese and Chinese prep. I make one heck of a specialty sushi roll I learned from a chef in New York state and I was so happy to find the special ingredients at this store.

I just moved here and was excited that an Asian store was nearby...until I realized how extremely unprofessional they were. Rude customer service. Manager bumped into me and didnt even apologize. Went to check out and her daughter was running the cashier while eating a bun. She didnt know the price of some of my vegetables so she hollered at her mother for the price. The mother/manager responded I dont feel like checking the price, just put something in another language.Employees in the aisles complaining about how stupid customers are because they ask for the price, while customers are shopping in the store. (they dont put a price on every product, but get mad when asked, as if they just cant be bothered). Was there when an Old Asian man was yelling at how the store ripped him off in front of the store LOUDLY.Walking down the vegetable aisle (I was talking to myself out loud and didnt realize it) how dead the plants are and they gave me the glare like I shouldnt have said that.So the mother/manager walks over and splashes bowl of water on the vegetables I was pointing out dead.
