Ive been on the hunt for the perfect hat for years. Ive found hats I like, but they never fit well. When I walked by Encounter Hat Co. in Jackson, WY, I knew I had to schedule an appointment. Kyle created a gorgeous baby blue hat for me that fits my head securely and my personality perfectly. It was really fun to go through the process and see how he shaped and crafted the hat. Plus hes just a stinkin cool guy.

Theres not enough time to put into words the experience I had here with everyone. Absolutely awesome people in this shop. Kyle is a wizard when it comes to making hats. The process was cool to see from start to finish and it felt like we were hanging out with friends rather than doing business with strangers. I highly recommend this place. Was looking for a cowboy style hat to wear while on our honeymoon & stumbled upon this place. Kyle & Case made us feel like we’ve known them forever. As soon as we walked in they offered us a drink and helped me find the perfect hat. I’ve always struggled to find a well fitted hat because I have a weird shaped head lol. But the guys spent extra time making sure the hat was customized to fit me perfectly! Kyle is an amazing artist & engraved “till death do us part” with a skull into my hat which was the perfect touch to celebrate newly getting married. I also had a beautiful feather put on the hat. I’m super grateful that I got a chance to meet these guys. I will be buying many hats from them in the future!!!

This place is the real deal. They have a reputation in the cowboy world as well as in the high fashion world. If you are lucky enough to get a hat here, hold on to it because it will increase in value over time.

I own 5 Goron & Bro’s and I love them all. I met Kyle and Parker of Encounter, we became friends and it was then when I ordered my first custom hat at their studio in Denver. Honestly, their hands on customization is the best thing about their products. I’ll never buy a hat from a different company. The best hat I’ve ever owned and worth every penny.
