I recently purchased a Volvo from Paul Moak all the way from Georgia. As this was my first time purchasing a vehicle from out of state, I had many reservations but Bradley helped ease my fears tremendously!! He took the time to send me numerous pictures and videos, answered any and every question I had, kept in constant contact with me and held the vehicle for me until I was able to fly out there. When I arrived in Mississippi, he picked me up from the airport, then spent a couple of hours with me going over many of features because this was my first Volvo. The process to complete the purchase took less than 20 minutes as they had my paperwork ready for me. Multiple members of the team also came over to thank me for my business. During our many conversations, Bradley mentioned how much he enjoys working for Paul Moak because they are like a family and it was evident by how he treats his customers. Even after the sale was complete, Bradley still texted and called me to make sure my trip back home was going safely. This was by far the best car buying experience Ive ever had! I got a great car at a great price! If Im in the market again, I wont hesitate to make the 600+ mile, 10 hour trip to Paul Moak again. It was definitely a deal not an ordeal! This dealership is nice. The staff was polite and helpful. I had a bit of a wait (my fault, not theirs),and the waiting area was nicer than I expected. Usually places that have food and drinks available are cleaner in the morning, but this place was still clean in my afternoon visit. They even recycle! I definitely am a fan of this dealership.

Extremely friendly, did not feel like taken advantage of like other places b/c I am a woman. Things were explained to me and I was not talked down to which appreciated. I was told at other places I would have to buy new tire & rim which I did not believe to be true & they would have to order fm Volvo so just came to Volvo which will come always fm now on. They fixed my rim & didn’t have to purchase expensive new one which saved me a great deal & really appreciated. And found something wrong with my front end but was covered under warranty & had it ready the very next day. I will never go anywhere else from now on & will buy my future cars there from this point on.

Great experience. Every concern was investigated and addressed. All of the staff were welcoming, I waited for the repairs with my son and all who walked by were kind and offered snacks. The wait areas were clean too with a lot of space to hangout comfortably.

This was my first and most likely final visit to Paul Moak Volvo in Jackson, MS. I live in Hattiesburg so I planned my trip approximately 3 to 4 weeks in advance. I specifically stated when bringing my vehicle in, my primary concern was to have a seatbelt recall taken care of. When I received my confirmation email, this was noted. After arriving, I waited approximately 15 minutes to be checked in. After about 30 minutes I was on my way in my loaner vehicle. After 4 hours, I checked in on the progress, only to be informed 30-45 minutes later that they did not have the part in stock to take care of the recall issue. What??? That’s what I drove 90 miles for!!! To top it off, they didn’t offer to order the part or ask about rescheduling for another time...not that I would have. Very poor service!!

Recently moved to Jackson area. Replacing AUD in 2016 S60 inscription. Service and parts department deemed it impossible for them to replace the part at their shop. They claimed they would have to send the existing part off to the manufacturer for repairs. I contacted Volvo of Memphis with whom I purchased the vehicle they ordered part same day and scheduled change immediately. Uncertain why this dealerships parts and labor as well as competency in working on a car they sell is not the same as one 3 hours away....

Just got back from Jackson buying a new Volvo XC40 at Paul Moak Volvo. From the start of the process online to leaving the lot everything was handled in a way that was professional, safe and enjoyable. I had to take the train to Jackson and they came and were waiting for me when I got off the train. They had the car washed and full of gas. They had all the paperwork ready to go. They spent time with me explaining everything about the car and there was a lot to explain. In particular Id like to send a shout out to Megan Moore who handled the online part and to Cliff Brewster who walked me through the process once I got there. They were both awesome. Cliff, your salesman was excellent. I would give him a 5 for sure. He was very knowledgeable about the Volvo we wanted, very patient with all our questions and took the time to throughly go over all the controls and details we needed to know.I didn’t like that I had to use three TN dealers to get Paul Moak to make give me a reasonable price. I would like to have seen a good offer to begin with.While trying to sell us an extended warranty, the ridiculous story about a former buyer passing on the extended warranty then finding out their Car wasn’t covered when they damaged it on a pothole (because they didn’t buy an extended warranty) just insulted our intelligence. This was not Cliff but I guess your manager? He completed our paperwork as we paid cash. Pothole damage would fall under insurance not vehicle warranty. Did he think we didn’t know that? We just politely passed but I feel sorry for anyone who wouldn’t know that. In short, if not for Cliff, we would have purchased our Volvo in Nashville.Since we are relocating there soon and go often and there is no sales tax there to out of state buyers.

Ive dealt with many Volvo service centers that have provided great service (Ive driven my Volvo for 10 years now), but this location is the worst experience with customer service I have ever had. I had multiple visits to the site for the same car problem, and I paid for fixes that didnt resolve my cars issues. I understand that diagnosing cars is difficult and its a process, but its frustrating when you pay $500 for a fix, only to be told that your problem is actually this. No discount or apology offered for the original misdiagnosis, and I was laughed at when I suggested it. Finally, when I declined to have any other work done, I got my car back with the front two seats damaged. The leather is rock hard and feels like plastic now. When I showed the employee the problem, he just said, I wish I could help you before walking away. I know its a hollow complaint because I do not have a before picture of what my front seats looked like, but Ive never had a car devalued after getting it back from a service center. I have never felt the need to leave a review for any place, but I felt that I should warn other drivers who think they are getting a service similar to other Volvo locations. I would go to Alabama or Louisiana for service.

I was traveling on Hwy 55 when I had a flat tire. It was a Saturday afternoon, so my trip was derailed to the nearest dealership until at least Monday. After a 2 night stay in an unexpected hotel, I was at the dealership first thing Monday morning, 7:30am. This is where I encountered Brian in service. I explained my situation and the urgency of the situation. He was unconcerned and explained to me SEVERAL times how we are in a Pandemic (in a degrading manor like I didn’t know about COVID) and how it’s delaying everything. I do have a difficult tire to find. The tire needed to be ordered. The tire sat at UPS all day Tuesday. With tracking numbers and the ability to pick up from UPS, my tire still sat there all day. It was UPS’S fault it was not delivered but Paul Moak Volvo had no urgency, concern or care that I’m now 4 days in a hotel because of a flat tire. Well, actually a nice gentleman in parts, Kevin and one in service, Brent were the only 2 that were concerned with helping. But somehow it was Brian who called back and said it would be another day. He was unfriendly, unkind & unconcerned. When I was finally able to pick up my car (4.5 days after my flat) Brian did not even look at me, showed zero kindness. He tossed my bill on the counter, no eye contact, no explanation of what they found, no hello, no goodbye. I had asked him to check on a few other things (I was willing to buy 4 new rims & 4 new tires & a spare) to get out of Jackson faster, he NEVER addressed those ideas. I was traveling to see my dad who happens to be very sick, I was almost willing to just buy a new car. I was derailed for over half my trip in Jackson, MS. My flat tire is not the fault of anyone, nor is the fault of anyone that I have a tire that needs to be ordered. But to show no care, urgency, or kindness to another human is unacceptable. I hope no one in Brian’s family ever has to go through what I just did. And if they do, they get to deal with a Ricky or Brent and not a Brian.

Volvo disappointmentWe recently purchased a used 2015 Volvo S60 premium package with the 4 cylinder engine.We have had Volvo’s for 13 years and loved our Volvo but hit a deer on Christmas morning totaling our car. We never had any trouble and therefore we wanted another Volvo. We found another Volvo on line so I flew to Kansas City to purchase the three year old vehicle. The car was in very good condition and we were proud of our new purchase but eight months after the purchase we got a warning light that the oil level was low so we went ahead and had the oil changed. Two days later the oil level light came on again. I thought perhaps they had not filled the oil completely full so I purchased a quart and added it to the engine. Two days later the oil level light came on again so I took the car to my mechanic to get his opinion. Within an hour he gave me the news that I needed a new engine. The number 2 cylinder was not holding compression and the compression was blowing into the crankcase.I’ve talked to the Paul Moak Volvo dealership in Jackson ms and got more bad news. They were not willing to help us other than just selling us another new car and financing our loss into the new car. What a disappointment that Volvo would not be more interested in finding out what failed in their engine so they could prevent the same failure from happening again. I’m interested in knowing if this is Volvo’s usual response. I had believed before that Volvo was a reputable company that cared about return customers. Would someone please let me know if Volvo has been misrepresented by their service representatives at the Jackson dealership and if so what will Volvo be willing to help with in this [email protected]

My husband and I had been looking for a vehicle for about a month. I had my mind made up on what I wanted, or so I thought. When we decided we no longer wanted that vehicle (that’s a story in itself ha) the search began all over. CUSTOMER SERVICE was just as important to us as finding the perfect vehicle was! We test drove several different SUV’s, from several different dealers, trying to find the vehicle we loved while staying in our budget. We weire headed to a different dealer in Jackson, Ms to look... just certain we would find what we were looking for there. We saw Paul Moak Volvo just ahead of our destination and decided to “swing by there” as we had no intention or idea that we would find what we were looking for. Well, the rest is history! We didnt leave without our “Fancy” (that’s what my granddaughter and I named her) 2020 XC90 awd!! Cliff was such a gentleman and extremely knowledgeable! The entire staff worked with us on getting the vehicle we fell in love with and knew would be our new family suv! I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience! And trust me, there are some doozies out there haha! After searching around, for what seemed like forever, and being given the run around, lied to, tried to be talked into something that was obvious we didn’t want, etc. from other dealers... I purchased my car almost a month ago from another dealership and there were several indicator lights on so I was told to take it to Paul Moak. I explained that the maintenance past due indicator was on which needed attention. I was there from 9:30 am to almost 5 pm. and it appeared that everything was repaired until the maintenance light came back on. I called back and was told that the dealership, Direct Auto of Winnsboro, said to work on the mechanical issues and not the regular maintenance; if that had been explained to me while I was there I would have had that taken care of since I voiced to all parties that it was my main concern.

I scheduled an appointment for 8:30am on a Friday (left the car on Thursday afternoon) for an estimate concerning two problems I was having with my car. I texted at 3:30pm Friday to ask for an update with no reply. I called at 4:30 and left a message. Near 5, I was finally told the car was not finished and was not drivable, thus, Surprise!, I was to be car-less for the weekend.Monday, again it was late in the afternoon before getting an update. They told me they were thoroughly checking out the car. That was not what I asked for. Of course by then, it was too late to pick up the car. Because I couldn’t pick it up Wednesday during their hours of operation, it was Thursday - now a week from when I left it - before I got my car back.What a waste of my time.

When my car was returned the battery cover in rear of car was not reinstalled, car was dirty, and most important....noise with brakes/rotors not addressed.

The Service Department staff needs better training in communication with the customers. When we set an appointment and drop our vehicles off, its under the assumption that our vehicle will be seen by mechanics and/or technicians that day. And if not, we also assume well hear from the service department rep to let us know that it will be possibly the next day.I set an appointment which was a week out already due to it being so busy, which is fine. I get that. I drop my car off at 8:30am and speak to the service rep. Later in the day I havent heard anything so I call and speak to Brian, which is, I assume, the Service Manager. He doesnt know anything about my car and forwards me to Morgan, my service rep. I leave a voicemail on his office phone. I also text him via the Paul Moak Volvo auto-text message I received that morning. I never get a response.Fast forward to the next morning. I call and leave another voicemail, then call the main Service number and Morgan, my service rep, picks up. Thats when I finally get an update that my car is sitting 10th in line with no idea of how long itll be there. I also realize that me setting an appointment has no bearing on when or if my car gets seen. So why even set an appointment?And when I requested a daily update just so I can plan my life accordingly, Morgan didnt understand why I needed an update.Is it too much to ask for customers to get a daily update on their vehicles? Or to know from the beginning that it may be a day or two before your car even gets seen? Also, again, why even set appointments? Or offer a text message/direct phone number to your service rep if they wont return your calls or texts?My issue is not with it being so busy, just with the lack of communication with the customer.

Sales people and sales manager, Jerry, were very attentive and helpful! Jerry especially took lots of time and patience with us and getting us approved for our 2017 Subaru Outback 3.6 R Touring Edition. They made sure it was cleaned and fully fueled. The only thing was they had planned on servicing it before we left and the weather was very bad that day so it was super late by the time we left, we had to come back the next day which was a Saturday for the detailing so all the service personnel were off and unable to service the vehicle. It needed it too. Overall was a great experience and we love our Subaru! Thanks!

I hate giving bad reviews but they took over two and a half hours for an oil change. Probably would have taken even longer but I asked them to skip any wash or vacuum that they may usually do as I was already frustrated since I was originally told that it would take an hour or and hour and a half at most when scheduling the appointment. I understand that places get backed up, but customers make appointments expecting that they will be served during their appointment time or at least told beforehand that there will be a delay.

I had set up a 2pm appt and was running a little late but when I arrived Butch met me at the front door and got me right in touch with Bradley who proceeded to show me to the vehicle and informed me of all he knew about this great new ride. They worked with me on the financial end of the deal and got me right where I needed to be. The service manager was EXTREMELY helpful and very easy to work with. He went above and beyond to solve the issue and I was so pleased with all he and the service guys did to resolve the difficult issues I was having with my car. They were all well informed, hard-working guys who obviously went the extra mile to fix the problem. However, my multiple conversations with the front desk person were less than pleasant. He was confrontational and difficult rather than helpful each time we spoke. His tone was, well, just condescending rather than professional and the helpful kind tone I would employ were I the front person conversing with clients in need. Anyway, the manager and service people saved the day.

Service experience nightmare! We were feeling a shim in our XC-60 when applying the brakes on the Interstate. Went in for brakes and alignment a week ago to the tune of $1000. Afterwards car still had shim and we noticed air conditioning was now acting funny ( cooling sporadically. ) We took the car back to Paul Moak for A/C diagnosis and brake check. Instead of letting me know what they had found with A/C (and get approval) they went ahead and did the work to the tune of $384. As for the brakes, they wanted an additional $600 to fix brakes for what I assume is for something missing in the initial diagnosis. Went and picked up the car this morning. We paid the $384 and left without even an apology. Unreal! I will never return to this dealership for service or anything else.

Don’t know why when I went online to make my service appointment then the computer magically canceled it. That’s very frustrating when I drive 1.5 hours and cleared my schedule for the day to get it done. Wasn’t happy when the person checking me in acted like I was bothering him. I thought I had an appointment! His attitude didn’t help & he never apologized. Fix your phone problem because not getting a call back when I was urgently trying to reach you made the situation worse. I was trying to make arrangements for a ride while my car was being serviced but I didn’t hear back so those plans fell through. Not the best experience.

I’m just wondering if this dealership ever has any good reviews. The experience I had was not a good one. I purchased a Pre-owned vehicle from here and me and my family will never do business here again. No follow up or anything and just sheer lack of customer care..

We were so excited to go look at the volvo xc90, but unfortunately left very disappointed. First off, the vehicles were extremely dirty, and that is never a good first impression. I was told that if we bought one, it would be cleaned and detailed -really? These are 60-70k SUVs, and how can you not keep them clean? One of them we looked at we actually asked if it was used because it was so bad. After being told it was new first, later we were told that it had 5500 miles on it. Our sales guy Daniel was very nice, so I have nothing but good things to say about him. We liked a certain model, but liked another models wheels better. When we asked if they could switch out the wheels, we were told no because it would not drive right ( the wheels are the same size). We were willing to pay a difference, but were told it could not be done. If that could have been done, we probably would have bought it that day. Later that night I looked on other websites, and found that many of the models we liked could, and did have the other wheels we liked. I told them this after they called me back Monday, and then they sent me a quick quote with the upgraded wheels. They told me that it would be about $4k, and that they would give us no credit for the wheels already on the vehicle- we could just take them with us- what?? Anyway, what we were excited about, turned out to be a complete let down. I believe lexus will get our business.

Good afternoon,The general manager was very rude he called me and asked what was the problem. We have faxed a buyer sheet to my credit union, and he said in a harsh tone. Im not sending another, and we are not going with the price you want to buy the car for. I told him to talk to Ashley 2x . After that he said everything is ok. Then when I arrived to purchase the car, the General manager just walked in Ashley office w/o knocking he is rude. Jermery Turner and Ashley are excellent sales People.Keep up the great work for the to employee!Thank youTamiko Washington

Very dissatisfied. Will never buy a car here again. Be prepared for a long wait if you need service. And the hipe about Volvo putting you in another car while yours is being serviced is a joke. Never trust a salesman I guess huh.

I brought my s60 to this location back in November 2016 for a check engine light diagnosis. They said that I needed a replacement part that had to be ordered, reset my CEL, and they would contact me to schedule an appointment when the part came in. The person who was helping me wasnt very helpful and to be honest, I left with more questions than answers.I still had not heard back from them in January 2017. When I called back (the person I spoke with this time was much friendlier than the last), they couldnt even locate my service record. I then scheduled an appointment with All Star Volvo of Baton Rouge and have had no issues with them. The problem has been taken care of.I am due for my 50k warranty-covered maintenance. I have been getting this done in Baton Rouge and no matter how long it takes then to perform this task, they provide me with a complementary loaner vehicle. They give me the option to use it for a week since its a 3 hour trip and I travel for my job. I figured since Im in South MS, Id give Paul Moak Volvo another shot and cut my travel time by half. PMV does not provide a complementary loaner vehicle for anything except warranty repairs. Its about an hour and a half to two hours to PMV from where I live, so Im just going to stick with All Star Volvo of Baton Rouge.*****I decided to give them another chance, like the fool that I am. I took my car in for regular maintenance last month (they basically charged me almost 700 for an oil change- I knew that my brakes need to be replaced but they marked those as in great condition, and I left there with an auto start service required warning message). Scheduled an appointment for a check engine light diagnosis days ago for 7:30 this morning... 5 hours later they still havent diagnosed it (today is NYE, so I have a pretty good idea of what is going on here). I called BRIAN to check on the status, it took grilling him with questions just to get him to tell me that it HASNT EVEN BEEN LOOKED AT YET. I ask why, and he refuses to give me any answers and ends up hanging up on me.Just go to Mobile or Baton Rouge for service. These people are HORRIBLE.
