McDavid Honda was for the most part very pleasant. My salesman, Chris Merchant, went above and beyond to make this deal happen. I basically bought this hatchback on a flight here from Vegas. Having not even driven the car, Chris was kind enough to pick me up from Love Field. With my back to the wall and needing transportation, Jeff in finance pulled some strings that I didnt know existed. I didnt feel at all that they were trying to make a maximum gross on a used car. Scheduled an oil change and state inspection. Very pleasant staff and facility. I choose to wait while car was serviced. The duration of 2.5 hours seemed on the long side. They have a nice facility for the wait, though. A metal tube that connects to my cars engine air filter system was not reconnected after a check of the vehicles engine air filter. So its good to follow behind service to double check things.
The Sales person - Godfrey, his manager and the Finance department, Jeff took really good care of me and made sure that my car was running at its best. I really appreciate how they took care of whatever my car needed. They did such a great job that I bought a car from them. Lol! I would definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family.

I cant recommend this place enough. Although I didnt purchase through Irving, Jeramie and Mr. King went above and beyond to meet my needs. Not only was Jeramie truthful and straightforward with the whole process, he also really had my best interest in mind. He made sure Id get the best deal regardless if I purchased through them or not. They really did leave the best impression, unfortunately I didnt go through Jeramie because the car sold while we where on the phone. But again Jeramie and hes manager made sure Id get that same deal in writing so I could maybe just maybe get that same deal else where. Ill definitely be referring people over and doing any future maintenance through them. If your shopping for a Honda look no further and look for Jeramie, man of hes word, transparent, and easy going. I brought my car in because i went to get it inspected because my registration was going to expire. while in the process of my car being inspected, the inspector told me and showed me a code that came up on his code reader. my experience was good but i had to wait a long time for my car and it was expensive.

Getting your car serviced is never fun. It takes time, money, and is all rather annoying. That said, the team at McDavid, namely Rey, made a process that most people hate, much better! The team was knowledgeable, fast, efficient, and didn’t try to charge me a left arm and a kidney for repairs. Bought my car with this team and will likely buy again someday with the team. This is what happened to my car after when I went to go replace my fuel pump recall at Hondas Irving Texas. When I checked the tank it was full, but then when I read the gauge it was showing half. So when I was driving back home, my car suddenly died in the middle of the highway, then soon had to be towed. Please double-check when you replace the fuel pump for a customers safety. If you need service for your car, make sure to avoid this specific one.

I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change WHICH TOOK 2 HOURS!!!! I was told upon arrival that I will have to wait for about an hour. When I told the associate I had an appointment, he said there were lots of other people before me. What’s the purpose of getting an appointment if they are letting others without appointments go first, even when I arrived on time!!!! MY CAR WAS NOT DONE UNTIL 2 HOURS LATER, AFTER I had to go ask where my car was because all I had was an oil change. I did not get the car wash or interior vacuum either. The associate was very indifferent when talking with me. Not good way to treat customers.

I came to pick a switch up for my Acura. I pulled into the service drive and was promptly greeted by a woman who spoke no English. Are you kidding me? You have an employee facing the public for car repair who can’t speak English? Then I went to get said switch and they attempted to charge me approximately $50 more than what I was told on the phone but they honored the price after I questioned them. Altogether a disaster.
My experience was pleasant, however, I inputted to cut down on significant wait time for their service department that the Service reps first ask the customers if they would like their vehicle inspected for present & or upcoming maintenance. This will allow for those receiving a service other than maintenance to have a quicker turn-around time rather than waiting for additional services I never permitted. I will say it is a nice touch if you request it. They give an electronic & paper copy of the maintenance services needing to be done with a real-time quote.
If you are making an appointment to get your vehicle serviced be careful they pay no mind to their appointment schedule so it’s useless to schedule. Take this inconsideration before stopping bye because it is a complete waste of time. Being a student and working full time is not easy and it’s definitely unpleasant when people don’t value your time and business. You guys have been warned.

Regardless of the service advisor the experience is really the same - great communication, convenience, quick / well done repairs, and thorough follow-up.
I purchase my new vehicle here in 2016 which was an experience that wasn’t worth writing home about. When I purchased said vehicle, I also purchased a maintenance contract with it as well. Knowing what I do today, I would never have done so, nor would I recommend it to anyone - at least all this specific location. After several visits I discovered that I had been erroneously charged several hundred dollars for work that was covered in my contract. Seeing that all of my paperwork was in the system their service staff should have caught this mistake immediately, however this was not the case. It was also only after several complaints and repeated phone calls (none of which were returned) and emails to the service manager that I was finally reimbursed for the work I never should have paid for in the first place. In terms of quality of service, it’s rock bottom. Their service staff fail to keep you updated as your vehicle gets work done, confuses your vehicle information ( how that’s possible I don’t understand) and I’ve waited nearly 4hrs for a simple oil change when I had an appointment scheduled in advance of my arrival. I love my Honda but just wish I never would have bought it at this dealership. Avoid them if you can.

Worst place ever to take your car to get serviced! I’ve gone there since I got my car. I thought it was a place I could trust. I was WRONG! In February I took my car for error code on dashboard. They fixed it, but when they tried to return my car it was crashed on the right side! I was given BS that they couldn’t access the cameras. I kept calling everyday and nothing. I got frustrated and threatened to call my insurance they finally came back with that the cameras weren’t working that day so there was no way of knowing if the car was like that or not but they were going to go ahead and take responsibility. It took a whole month before I got my vehicle back. I went back 4/24/2021 to get an oil change. To my surprise all the oil spilled because the mechanic forgot to put the oil filter back on! If you love your vehicle please don’t take it here to get it serviced

Went in on Saturday for a oil change and had an appointment. Lee, service advisor, alerted to me the two hour wait times. Asked why have an appointment? They need to shut off appointments if theyre overbooked. He was able to get me in and out in an about an hour twenty. I was able to make my next appointments the rest of the afternoon! In short: Fair deal, friendly people, but the on line purchasing process was ridiculous. Before entering the dealership we agreed on the price and financing and also made the down payment. The dealership assured us that when we came to the dealership it would take no more than 30 minutes to sign the paperwork and leave with the car. In reality it took over two hours before we even saw the car and another hour after that to get the papers signed and get out of there. It was as if they had no idea we were coming to pick up the car. It was extra frustrating because we travelled from out of town and had repeatedly told them that, asking them to make the process as quick as possible. They had assured us the would, but that sure did not happen
I was told my car needed immediate attention. But it was not shown on the multicheck report. After reading the fine print. It was only a suggestion. It was for a wheel alignment. The report showed no unusual ware on the tires. I was born at night, but not last night. This is the best review I could give David McDavid Honda. Thanks for viewing.
I found the car I wanted (Subaru Outback) online through Edmunds. I negotiated the price via text and phone calls. I submitted the paperwork online and scheduled a time to come pick the car up. I was told that I would have to finalize the paperwork in person, and that it would take about 30-45 minutes, and that a finance manager would call me the day I was driving into town to solidify the paperwork. My husband and I had to make a 3-hour drive to get the car, so we were very motivated in making the in-person component as swift as possible. No one ever called me the day of. I tried calling three times and could never get anyone on the phone. Jesus (my salesman) finally did call me back and assured me that everything was still set and we were good to go. Our appointment time was confirmed.Now for the negative:We showed up at our time and no one was ready for us. After 3+ hours of waiting and being moved from waiting area to waiting area, we were beyond frustrated. The finance manager did not have the paperwork ready; the temporary tags werent printed and ready; it seems as if no one even knew we were coming. The finance manager told us that the case had been dumped on his desk and he had to research how to do the paperwork for out-of-state sales. That is inexcusable because we had an appointment, and I had completed all the paperwork online prior to showing up!The Positive:I give them four stars now (changed from 2, before). Everyone was very friendly and they did work with me on the price of the vehicle. Garrett also called me a few days after posting my review to see how he could make things right. Seeing as how we live out of state, there isnt much to be done. However, I appreciate the follow up and the concern that the call showed.
The splash plate under my 2020 Civic LX came loose (bumped concrete riser when parking).It was scraping the road anytime I hit even a small bump, making an odd noise.I brought it in and Lucio Luna found the problem, replaced three missing screws and itis now working fine again (no scraping sounds). No charge. Many thanks. Excellent service.I live in Frisco but work in Irving and didnt want to drive 25 miles back home via highspeed turnpikes with that problem (so I found and came to your dealership).
Recently my daughter who is a first-time car buyer purchased a car with her boyfriend at this dealership. We had told her to contact us prior to making any deal on a car so we could help her make a smart financial decision. She and her boyfriend chose to try and go it alone and buy a car without any help and boy did they get duped by this dealership. Both having credit scores in the low to mid 500s they were approved for a car with a sales price of around $16,600. They were talked into buying a $3,000 warranty as an add-on and also a whopping finance rate of 20.5 % at 72 months all for a car with over 107,000 miles on it (a 2017 Chevy Malibu). They put $3,500 down which is all the money they had and after all the payments are made the finance charge is around $18,000 and the total price of the car ends up being over $35,000. This is nothing short of predatory lending by this dealership and the finance company they used through the dealership to get the car. It’s my daughter’s fault for not listening to advice but this dealership shouldn’t take advantage of naive young people trying to get a start in life.

I would definitley be willing to do business with him again. Now if only Honda could figure how to make more cars so I could finally buy my next Civic SI!

I have bought several vehicles over the years and never had as good of an agent as Amanda Roberts. She was very very helpful and provided great communications along the way. Amanda wasnt pushy like many others are. All of the other staff that we spoke with as well were very helpful and seemed like they had our best interest at the forefront as well. The whole process was easy as it can be done online and they will even deliver the vehicle to your front door. Often, you end up sitting for hours at other dealerships, but they were super quick here and you can do everything from your house. So I want to start off by saying I have been to this service shop for years ! Never had any issues last year in December I was advised that I needed to change the engine gasket . Since I work from home and do not drive much I told the service advisor I would do it on my next visit to do the oil change . It’s June and I now need to do all the repairs needed since they replaced the parts I have been in the service center 3 times and the reason for coming back is now the engine is leaking oil ! BEWARE!! I have asked to speak to management and have not gotten any response and my car still is leaking oil I’m sitting in the waiting area now as I write this review ! Please choose other locations to get your repairs done ! I will follow up with updates as they come !
Amanda Roberts was nice and very helpful when buying my new car online from the dealership, guiding me through the process over the phone and driving 45 minutes to my house to deliver the car. She went out of her way to drive back to my house the next day with corrected contractual paperwork when my zip code got put in wrong by the dealership the first time. I highly recommend her.
My experience was good especially with advisor David. His customer service skill is excellent. He is very polite and cool-headed. I changed all the brake pads (on both the axles), brake fluid, and power steering fluid with them.
Paid for, oil and filter change and tire rotation. They change the oil and not the filter and never did the tire rotation. Guess I should have checked before leaving the service department but I trusted them to do the right thing. Never, and I should have known given some of the stuff I saw on YouTube regarding Honda dealers service department. Nonetheless, I called them up and explained the service was not done. They offer to take care of it as soon as possible. Going back to David McDavid was a nightmare the service manager Josh challenged my integrity, he was very condescending rude and obnoxious to say the least. Its okay to buy a car at David McDavid as they do not make the car but when it come to servicing your Honda I would go some place else. This is my second bad experience with David McDavid service department and it will definitely be my last. They have a bunch of folks running around who does not know there job and the so call service manager(s) is one of them.
Very well taken care. all the issues and services were highlighted and explained properly. also the service protection plans were explained properly. thanks for excellent service

Nice staff and nice service.It took 2 business days to have the recall done but I was already notified of it before I went by to drop the car.They also did a complete inspection of the car for free which was a plus.Overall I was very satisfied.
Mcdavid Honda was truly a better car buying experience than most. Chris Merchant went above and beyond to make every aspect of buying a car better than the others. Hands down will be my car salesman from here on out.

I really like dealing with the same person. i dont like having to deal with new people every time i go there... Hopefully you guys keep Josh forever!

I generally don’t write reviews but my recent buying experience at the dealership was so positive. We were looking to purchase a 2021 CR-V and emailed several dealerships in the area to get the best price. David McDavid Honda in Irving had the best deal hands down and our Salesperson Said Baaddi was so always quick to respond and super professional. When we went to pick up the vehicle, he made sure we felt comfortable with all of the feature and technology of the car. We never felt pressured or rushed. I would 100% recommend David McDavid Honda in Irving and our salesperson Said for anyone looking to have a positive buying experience.
Worst Experience ever Shady and bunch of liars I was buying a car for my son to build his credit and the Finance manager I think his name was Rafael told me to take him off the loan and buy it under my name only and when the bank calls lie to the bank and say its my car and he told me say anything about your son, that made the whole thing feels not right and he kept saying i know a lot of buyers at the bank I can call and have them buy it specially when they see that the car is protected with warranty.I mean who does that ?Dont waste your time and go there go to real dealership not a shady one with bunch of thieves
