Nice staff but not efficient all times of visits…
Outstanding! Anthony and Ramon are the best. They really took care of me. Id highly recommend this place for service!
They always get my car done in time and are very helpful. Great service will continue bringing my car in for maintenance here
The service center team is always very kind and proactive, looking to solve all my questions and any specific items related with my car. Not a very new building but the service provided is very good
I setup an appointment online couple weeks ago for a Transmission fluid change 2008 Passat. I drove and made it there across town through traffic only to be told that my car was too old and they didnt want to take a risk doing it. Why couldnt they have told me this before I drove all the way. I was dissapointed as I have used a VW dealership for every service since I got it years ago. were else can I go if a VW dealership dosent accept a VW?This was my first car and made sure I took good care paying more everytime. i had alot of bad experiences when they were called MetroVW and drove 30 mins and went to Autobahn Ft Worth. so I drove across the city and got it done by Autobahn Ftworth and out by 9am. The guy at VW Principle does not have a sense of Customer Service and very sloppy with all my transactions with him in the past. The workmanship is good but not going there again, not a good business. I would recommend Autobahn better work quality and excecustomer services.
Justin Candelaria did a phenomenal job of fixing the following issues in my 2014 VW Jetta.- Front headlight bulb- Back Tail light bulb- Engine housing- Oil changeHe was professional, clear and to the point. Most importantly he only recommended repairs which where absolutely required.
I am beyond grateful for the kindness & generosity of the people who helped me today. Jeff, Chris & Scott, if I remember correctly. Ive been having issues w/ my car for a few mos & had to bring it back in today. Life has been rough lately & not knowing whats wrong w/ my car or if its about to break down was adding to the stress. They were all so polite, helpful & honest. I highly recommend this service center. Ask for these guys. Theyre wonderful people. Thank you so much for all youve done for me.
I worked with Patrick after finding the car online. It was priced fairly and drove great. Ive been looking for a while and their selection was great. I had a trade which is usually not a fun scenario but they made a fair offer up front without any back and forth. This was no hassle and Ill look here next time as well.
I enjoy going to Principle Volkswagen! The people are always nice and so quick to lend a hand or whatever is necessary to help you out. Thank you!
Justin Was Great at helping me get my Volkswagen repaired!!!! I gave them a five star rating because of the professionalism and the knowledge of the service workers as well as getting my vehicle back to me on time and ready. Thanks Guys
Good service so far.
I’ve been going to Principle VW ( formerly metro vw) for the past few years for one reason above all others. TRUST.Even after the ownership changed the team (especially Justin) have remained consistent in putting customer satisfaction and value first. They tell you what needs to be done to your vw but never force you to do anything extra. This includes factory recommended packages. If you just want an oil change they wont try to upsell you. Sure, they will remind you but thats it.Advice to customers: find an advisor that works with you and look over the coupons offered by them and competitors. Learn your vehicles needs / quirks and ask questions.Advice to dealership : keep doing what you’re doing and dont get complacent ( this is what clay cooley did and they are not trustworthy for sales or service needs). Keep offering good coupons and make sure your service advisors can educate customers so they gain knowledge and feel like they can trust you.Consider a partnership with APR. other dealers in the area sell their products and install. It would be great to have another location that warranty’s and installs mods.
Very bad costumer service, They dont know Meaning of appointment, I had appointment for oil change, but i waiting there 1;20 minutes with out service and bring back my car.........
Ive been taking my 2012 Passat here for service since I bought it new. The service department has been consistently friendly and trustworthy!
Jared was awesome and made the service experience stress free.
Really helpful, friendly, and professional. Didnt take long to get me in and out! I will be back!
Metro was good, reliable people but now that its Principle VW, Ill be going to Ft. Worth. Service writers trying to tell me I dont know my own car doesnt sit well with this career mechanic. Your service writers insist they are right and that Im wrong. Went to Metro for 17 years. Goodbye Irving, Hello Fort Worth.
Oil change took 1 1/12 hours smh.
Justin Was Great At Helping Me and my vehicle was repaired within a timely manner as well as their customer service skills were on point.
I have been a customer at this location since 2003. Metro VW serviced and took care of my cars for 17 years, in a trusting and honest manner. Recently, I took my car to the location, now Principle Volkswagen. I went for a routine 20K mile oil change on a 2018 Tiguan. I left the vehicle and returned to pick it up later in the day. I got home, to find bits and parts in the floor board of the passenger side. I drove back the next day to find out in routine inspection of the cabin filter, the pieces had not been replaced. “The guy who worked on your car, is no longer with us “.I had also asked them to look at the left front tire, as it would leak air over a 6-8 week period and I would get an alert. They told me they could find nothing wrong with the tire, “maybe the easiest thing to do would be to buy a new one”. Seriously?! Discount Tire found a small nail, plug and patch, fixed!A few weeks later, I received a recall notice and took the vehicle back to have it taken care of. I also told them, the backup alert was not beeping if a vehicle was passing while in reverse. A young man came out, looked at the back of my car and told me in no uncertain terms “you don’t have that option”. I told him I may not have the “option” but if in reverse, and a car or person is passing behind, the car alerts you, and that had stopped working. I was again told you don’t have that, in a condescending, ageist manner. I left the car with them for the recall work, and on picking it up was again notified I don’t have that alert and they just don’t know why or how that was possible. I was made to feel like a feeble minded doddering old woman by this group of “professionals”, and I assure you I am not.I have since taken the car to another dealership and explained my predicament and like magic, they fixed the problem and I now have the alert in reverse that I once had.I post this lengthy tirade to simply warn future potential customers, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION FOR ANY REASON. There is no customer service, and apparently there is no one that knows anything about your Volkswagen there. STAY AWAY.
Justins attention to detail, communication and overall customer-service was utterly amazing. He handled everything from start-to-finish on a hard-to-find tire warranty without missing a beat. This is a humble but efficient operation.
Always great service
Very unprofessional, they did a bad repair to my car and they want me to pay $$$ to fix something that they damage or did wrong. Go to another VW service or dealer if you can.
Justin was very helpful and answered all of the questions I had very well!
I give Principles VW Service store my highest rating without reservation. Weve owned our Tiguan SE for 7 years and driven over 100,000 miles. (Weve only clocked 5,000 miles during 2020 because of the lockdowns.) I love driving this vehicle, especially over long distances; like DFW to Boston. Not surprisingly, upkeep required significant investments in 2018 and 2019. Principles expert technicians resurrected the like-new performance of our vehicle, working diligently to meet our very high expectations. The Wait-Room area is roomy and well-appointed with refreshments, work tables, soft seating and a computer. Outside seating is also available.A driver is available if you cant wait on site. In one instance, on a major engine repair that took over a week to complete, a free brand new loaner was offered. OUTSTANDING!Jeff Hanlon, a Certified VW Service Advisor, is the expert Manager of Principles Irving location. Justin Candelaria has been our very helpful Svc. Advisor; Sean Couch has also assisted us on occasion.I am thrilled to give these outstanding professionals my highest rating, and I recommend Principles Irving location without reservation for service on your VW. You wont be disappointed!
Very dishonest and completely unprofessional. Talked to four different service guys and got a completely different story from each of them and when you complain they tell you sorry, everyone who works here is new so we are still trying to find our groove. They tell you exactly what they think you want to hear to shut you up and have zero follow through on the things they tell you they will do.
Great customer experience! Larry was very informative and professional. Definitely making him my go to service advisor. Kept me informed on anything relating to my vehicle and even though I didnt have an appointment it was taken care of in a time manner. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Also again I highly recommend Larry as an awesome service advisor to speak with for all your vehicle needs!
To be clear, I have never made a negative review about a company before. But I would give 0/5 stars if possible.I drove my car to this shop because my check engine light had popped on a few days prior. The morning of my appointment my check engine light was OFF and I drove my car to the shop with 0 problems. In fact, I couldn’t even notice a problem with my car and I almost cancelled the appointment, assuming the light was just a sensor messed up or something. After taking it to the shop I got a phone call saying I needed a MINIMUM of a $5,000 repair, and that would be just the beginning. Mind you, I have been using this car for daily use with ZERO problems. I returned to the shop to pick up my car so I could think over my options. As I was leaving, the service department was closing. I got in my car and first of all it barely started. Once it started the engine was putting and making all sorts of sounds. The engine light was now ON and it was overheating. Let me remind you, IT WAS RUNNING FINE 3 HOURS BEFORE. My car is now not drivable and I had to get it towed off the service departments lot back to my house.Once again, the car was working before, and is now not even usable AFTER the service department looked it over.I went to the Dealership to speak with a manager, who clearly couldn’t care less what I had to say.Seems a little fishy that a 20 year old girl comes into the shop, who clearly knows nothing about what’s wrong with her car, and gets stuck with a $5,000 bill and car functioning WORSE (more like not at all) than it was when I brought it in. Not to mention the staff told me multiple times times how they had been running really slow and might have their hours cut.
Came in for my 70k service on 6/16/20 and Justin took great care of me. I received updates and was not pressured into service that I wanted to hold off. Thank you!
I take my car here every 10,000 miles for my oil change. Normally they vacuum my car out with the car wash but I guess they forgot or the vacuum wasnt working because it didnt get done but I did get my car washed. They do amazing service but it is more expensive than your run of the mill oil change places but I get 10,000 miles per oil change so its worth it and normally they have coupons online so it ends up costing about the same. Justin is my advisor and he is a wonderful person, he breaks everything down for you and offers to help if you dont understand something.
Great service, friendly and not as expensive as other dealers
Went in for oil change. Great service. Quick in and out...
I was completely disappointed with my car service, when I told my problem while I dropped my car, she didnt take single notes of my issues. She was keep saying that what is your next problem. Finally I was just said at the end of the service that, only oil change was done, she didnt discuss about any of the issues I reported. When I asked what about my brake noise she replied that you might have bought some other market brake spares only Volkswagen certified brakes will work fine. But actually, I had installed new brakes in metro Volkswagen. Also when I asked about the tire pressure getting dropped every 2 weeks, she said everything is fine but I refilled my tire pressure 3 times frequently. She was just want to change oil and give me the car.
They did a great job.
Great attention to detail and follow up!
A very good customer service. They keep you informed by every step such as diagnostics, to see if parts are under warranty to, to letting you know car is being repaired by tech, to letting you know the vehicle is finished as well. Its best to pay by card as well. I highly recommend Shawn.
Hands down the worst place I have ever been. This place is what hell looks like. I had to visit several different people at different counters many times because no one could figure out how to do their job. Everyone was rude. Really a terrible place.
Great people and great service. Took my CC in for repair, took a few day but was given a courtesy car! Car was fixed completed on promised day, seamless.
Good service. Friendy staff.
Good service from Justin Advisor 👍
I bought a used vehicle from them and 2 days later my air conditioning went out they fixed it and within a month it was out again, I took it back they didnt want to fix it and I do have an extended warranty!! Service department was not helpful at ALL!!
I had a great experience when buying a car. The Service dept. has friendly staff. When I took my car to be repaired, no problems.
When I first called I was told they were in the healing business. At the end of the day I fell for the upsale. Everything started well, they found recalls and extended warranties, and gave me a loaner. I was pleased after picking up my car after a week. I drove less than 8 miles before my check engine light came back on. I went back first thing in the morning and was told the tech forgot to check my turbocharger, which is in disrepair but never mentioned and not covered under warranty, conveniently. But I purchased the recommended additional service for $300, which I regret paying. Still cant drive the car now because it wont pass inspection. And I was ready to drop a 5 star review. What a let down.
Terrific customer service. I have gone to these folks twice in the last few months for service and repairs and was extremely happy with the work and how they kept me informed.
Friendly service
I have been there for years and will be going back for a long time. Last visit, Joel helped me out greatly and kept me updated. In the end I paid less than quoted!
I have been treated great.
Service Department Justin is a great person to deal with
THE ONLY PLACE TO PURCHASE YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE ON WHEELS. THE WELCOMING DOWN TO EARTH ATMOSPHERE MAKES IT HARD TO LEAVE. MR.WAYETT IN SALES JUST THRILLS YOU WITH POSSIBILITIES OF DRIVING IN STYLE. THEN HE MAKES IT HAPPEN AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOU JUST WON THE LOTTO. THANKS METRO VOLKSWAGEN FOR AN UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE!!!
VW newest whip
Loved this service center. These folks are not after you wallet and provide excellent customer service. All reps were courteous and professional. Sean Couch was my service adviser, he walked me through each step of the way and advised on what was needed next. He didnt try to over sell which is done at most dealership service centers. I highly recommend this service center and Sean Couch as service adviser.
I bought my car from this dealer and it was a good experience. However, when it came time for my first oil change my experience with the service department was a bit different.I sat waiting for about 2 1/2 hours. It turned out that they finished with my car pretty quick, they just never told me it was done.I don’t know if I was supposed to go and ask if they were done or not, but I just assumed they would come to the waiting area and tell me so if they were because I saw them come out and tell 3 other people that their cars were ready.Don’t get me wrong the people here were great, but even though my only complaint was the miscommunication I think communication is a pretty big and important part or just about every business.
Friendly psrts department
Always a pleasurable experience! Keep up the gear job guys. Thanks Larry!
Huma was amazing and went out of her way to help me save on a new set of tires yesterday. I am very thankful for her help!
My boyfriend went in to get his car serviced due to the charger port not operating and we went in. It took 5 minutes. It was great. They are awesome. thank you
Great service. Got my car in 10 minutes prior to my appointment. Straight up with pricing and they clean your car up very nicely for free. My second great experience at this location!
Love their customer customer service. They explain things to me clearly. Fast service. Oil changes are worth the price.
I had to bring my car to the shop one day and the dealership discovered some massive repairs that needed to take place. They gave me a loaner without asking any questions and I was so thankful and grateful. It was a very positive experience.
Honest, reliable and friendly auto mechanics that really know their stuff. Simply the best!
They always take care of my care needs.
These people are simply the best!Especially Jeff Hanlon!
Very disappointing, please stay away from this service centre, had a very horrible experience. My car was towed to this centre, after a couple of days, I was told their system was down, No loner cars was available. I spent so much on Uber to and from work, I kept calling to find out if they had done the diagnostic test because my car wouldn’t start:After so much frustration, I took a Uber yo their centre and decided my better option was to tow my car to Bobby Becks Lewisville, within a couple of hours, diagnostics test was done, my car was fixed and I was able to drive it out. Please please please, read your reviews before visiting Metro Volkswagen Service Center in Irving.
Very bad customer service.Called in about issue and asked to speak with someone with technical issues.I was repeatedly asked my issue and the agent knew nothing about my Technical issues.I dont know why I was asked the question on the automated system in the first place. After talking to top I asked if I could talk to someone in service about my concerns and no one was available.I asked to speak with someone in parts.and they were unavailable as well.I have been going to this location for three years for service and I still cant get anywhere with my concerns.I wish i never bought this car. And i wish I had not bought it from them
BUYER BEWAREI started coming here two years ago and never had a bad experience until today. I waited FOUR HOURS just for a diagnostics check for why my check engine light was on. After waiting they told me the repairs were going to cost me $1,453!!! They said I needed to clean my throttle body for $211, replace my vaccume pump for $906 (WOW) change my brake fluid for $129.95 and replace my windshield wipers for $54 which I JUST CHANGED LAST MONTH! What’s interesting is that two months ago when I came in for the same thing they were only going to charge me $80 to clean the throttle body and now it’s over twice that amount?! NO THANK YOU. After the discussion he had the nerve to tell me “your car is otherwise in great condition!” Uhhhhh then why are you charging me an arm and a leg!!! I’m not paying for a new engine! Of course I told them that I will not be doing business with them and then he began to “run the numbers again” and told me that his computer “miscalculated” and cleaning the throttle body will only be $165. He then proceeded to tell me If I do their financing deal the price of changing the vacuum pump will drop too....It’s frustrating when you have an appointment and wait four hours and walk away without being able to fix your car just because your a women and they think you know nothing about cars so they can charge you whatever. YEA RIGHT.
I initially went in for some repair work on a bad coil and ended up paying a lot more than I should have, but I ended up finding out that this was an error on Metro’s part, and Jeff Hanlon, one of the service managers, got it worked out for me and notified me of the error. He assured me that it was a mistake and that it does not happen often, which I believe. I ended up being refunded for the amount I was overcharged for, which is awesome. I can definitely say that these guys know how to provide great customer service, and they did a great job resolving the issue. Good place with good people. I’ll come back here again for sure.
Lori is awesome. Shes very straight to the point and honest above all. Always ensuring that every worry gets taken care off.
What happened here?
Repairs are inadequate.
Updated 5th Oct 2019I took an appointment for service at 2.30PM to just fix a recall and one of the flat tires and ended up waiting for more than 2 hours. Not sure why there is an appointment available online if I have to still wait for 2+hours. Hope you use customers time better in the future based on service capacity.
Wish I could give them no stars. So unprofessional. NEVER take your car here. I had my car towed here because it wouldn’t start. We called ahead, told them what was wrong, and they suggested I have the key on my Jetta replaced. Had the key ordered and programmed through them and had a complimentary diagnostic run. Then when I go in to pick up my car, after they already called and told me it was ready, my car is dead. They proceed to start quoting me the price of a new battery! They jump me and I take my car home and notice the horn not working. Now my car won’t start at all!!!Have never had a problem with my car battery before. They won’t even help reconcile the problem. Never indicated I had s battery issue during the diagnostic. Now need to have my car towed YET AGAIN. Scammers. Total scammers. Don’t entrust your car to them. Out $300+ dollars already and the problems with my car persist. They refuse to take responsibility for anything.
A-1 Service Thank you!!! I will be back!!!
Very honest staff and very kind and knowledgable. Sean was great at helping my wife and I get her Beetle in order.
Huma took great care of me and my baby. Thanks Again!!
First I brought my car here for diagnosis. They made me change two parts that cost me hundreds of dollars before they said they would be able to figure out whats wrong. But even after fixing the third part, the cars not good. At this point, I dont believe the other two parts I changed were bad at all. I will give 5 stars if they make this right but until then, its a 1 star!
Just a check up
Staff are great and are willing to show their appreciation by giving additional discounts
Stefan was kind and knowledgeable. I left the interaction feeling good.
Great service!
Absolutely professional, accomodating and reasonable...and friendly on top of it. Highly recommend!
Amazing customer service and excellent repairs. They worked with me on repair costs and financing. I couldnt have gotten my car fixed without them!
I don’t usually do reviews but this service center has repeatedly left me dissatisfied. I no longer go there unless it’s something I feel warrants a certified VW tech and even still I’m frustrated. The wait is unbelievably long and that’s if you can get service. I’m being told a 4 day wait for something that should have been fixed within the 3 hours I waited to change a battery. I’m told the reason they couldn’t find and fix the problem is because the techs are new. Find another VW service center if you can.
Horrible place to take your car! I bought a 2014 Jetta TDI from there sales department. They were suppose to do a 40,000 mile service on the car and didn’t. The oil was still black and no way to tell if they did the transmission oil change. I have been asking for a copy of the service report for a few weeks now and still havent received it. Someone also stole my keychain off my car key and also stole my cell phone holder out of the car! This has to be one of the worst car buying experience I have ever had! Don’t waist your time and money getting work done at this location! I have two TDI cars and will not be using these guys for anything!
Very professional staff who know what they are doing. Super helpful and easy service.
We had a VW beetle pre-purchase inspection done at this location, were told vehicle was good to purchase. A week later the vehicle started leaking gas from the rear end on passenger side/gas fumes inside, we had it towed into the service center by our AAA because I didn’t feel comfortable driving it like that. After leaving the vehicle with them for a few hours we got a call saying the car had been overfilled with gas by me & that’s what was causing the gas leak, we were told the car was ok to be picked up & we shouldn’t have anymore issues.... was told not to overfill the tank again. I knew I’d never overfilled the tank because I’ve never overfilled a gas tank, but at this point I took that as an answer & hoped this issue wouldn’t occur again. Not even 5 days later the car starts leaking gas again, so once again I called them & this time I asked if they would tow the car in since they didn’t fix the car the first time, I was told they couldn’t do that, so again I had our AAA tow the car in. The next day we get a call saying they found the issue, Because I overfilled the car the canister was flooded, now I’d need to pay over $950 to have this issue fixed. At this point I’m frustrated because I again know the car was NEVER overfilled, we picked up the car from VW metro service center & took it to a trusted mechanic here in DFW, after having the car 1 day he fixed it for under $200. I trusted this VW metro service center with my car 1, 2, 3 times & was let down big time. Oh & our mechanic confirmed the car was never overfilled! If using this metro service center please please save yourself time & money to get a second opinion from another mechanic.
Ive always loved VW and how they treat their customers but today my view as changed. I have a spare key that Ive never had to touch until my battery in my old key went out. The spare key does not work. I spent 2 hours going to the service center as well as the Metro VW I purchased the vehicle from. I was told the key needs to be reprogrammed and it would be 99 dollars. I was not willing to pay the 99 dollars because the key should have been programmed when I bought the vehicle. It has been almost 3 years since the purchase but I never checked the spare key because you dont usually do so until its needed. There should be a way to check if the spare key was programmed before hand but there is not. The last guy informed me it is not a way to see if its their mistake or what happened. I refuse to pay the 99 because as a customer that purchased a brand new vehicle from VW the key should work and it looks brand new because Ive never touched it until I needed it and it did not work. I felt like the manager did not really care and only one person tried to work with me.
See my original review below. While I didnt have a great service experience and I had to go out of my way to take the car back, the manager did everything in his apparent power to try and make it right. Im not sure Ill be returning but I did feel like they cared about their mistakes.Went to pickup car after standard oil change (2.5 hours from drop off), and the whole cabin smelled of oil. Looks like they spilled oil in the engine bay and tried to clean it up but failed. They also didnt reset the TPM in the dash after rotation so I had to pull over thinking I had a flat tire on the way home. Front licence plate was bent after the car wash. Would not recommend.
Spent 3 hours here before I heard a word. The labor and parts are overpriced, and they try to push you to pay if its the last day of the month without caring about how you feel or your financial situation. Go somewhere else if you want to be cared about, save money, or even want to do something else the same dayEDIT: To the manager who replied to me; your sales person ROLLED HIS EYES AT ME when I said I wasnt sure I wanted to spend the money yet. I wont nothing to do with your place ever again.
Its too far need one closer to NRH AND BETTER SERVICE
Very clean.

Horrible experience! Went to get a tire fix. They broke my lock and my wheel lock. The new guy was trying get it done. He ask for help no of his crew members wanted to help. HimThey send me to get a fix a tire sending my way. Now i will file lawsuit against them. I have a mercedes benz c300 2011
