I have been on hold for over 30 minutes each time I’ve called in. And that is for different departments. Seems like Apria may need to work on its staffing. Once I finally got through, the people were friendly…I’m sure they have to deal with lots of frustrated people with those hold times. My equipment is back ordered so I don’t know how that portion will go. Hopefully it goes a little more smoothly!
TERRIBLE Customer Service. I thought this was a great company. WRONG!
My moms orthopedic ordered her a wheelchair from here on Aug 8th. I called and asked them for status on Aug. 11th and they claimed they never got the order. Then in Aug. 18th, we got a text saying they got the order and will let us know when its ready. Today is Aug. 26th and still dead silence from them.
This company was contacted by my mothers case worker who is being released from her health care facility tomorrow, an 88 yr. old with a repaired shattered leg. They informed the case worker that they were working on the paperwork to have her wheelchair delivered today, Friday for her pick up tomorrow, Sat. Chair never came, called at 5:30 to check status only to find they close at 5:00 and are CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY! We have NO WAY to bring my mother home. Not really sure how a company can survive with such incompetent employees.
Terrible i tray to make contac with sombodySo they can come and retrieve items from my house for 3 days and they putme on hold for almost 30 minutes. Or they hang on me i call early when they are not busy but is the sameThis is the 4 day im super frustrate with the customer service looks like the person in this department is very old and frustrate and grumpyBad !!
Customer service is a joke. Their billing practices are abusive. If you dont give them what they want right away, they retaliate with threats to end rental agreements. Beyond unethical. A bad look for a corporation that claims to be the leader. They only care about billing you, they dont care about your health at all.
Waited online for 45 min to make an order, transferred 3x, half way through the order the operator hung up on me.
The entire team at April Healthcare in Irvine pulled together to help me today, when my medical group wouldn’t lift a finger. The teams in the warehouse, customer service, office staff, respiratory therapy, and management all pulled through to get me the equipment I needed when St. Joe’s wouldn’t even send a fax. THANK YOU Apria!!! You may have literally saved my life, and career today.
I found out recently that the Apria CPAP unit that was shipped to me is on a 10 month lease with my insurance. After the final payment I can use the machine indefinitely with no cost. Unfortunately, my cobra insurance policy expires this month and there is 1 more payment remaining. I would like to make that last payment out of my own pocket to Apria, but Apria would not allow me.Apria gave me 2 options,Start the lease all over again in Jan, 2021, or purchase the CPAP for full retail price. My deductible on my new policy is pretty high, so either option I would have to pay all of payments out of my pocket.Ive decided to purchase a unit from a 3rd party and return the CPAP to Apria. I cant believe Apria would not help.
The technician from the Irvine office, Greg, was great! He was very patient, articulate and professional. He had to do a lot to get my home unit plugged in where I wanted it. Greg has a great attitude and he definitely went the extra mile!
This company was so compassionate and helpful when I needed a wheelchair. I understand that the experiences of others do not seem to be as good, which is unfortunate.I was hit by a large vehicle two years ago and this resulted in a broken femur. My insurance company contracted Apria to get me a wheelchair. In a bizarre turn of circumstances, my wheelchair was stolen. My insurance company had zero compassion and refused to let me have another wheelchair, despite a filed police report and despite the business my wheelchair was stolen from being willing to pay for the stolen wheelchair. As a result, I had no way of being mobile for six months, unless I wanted to buy a wheelchair.Apria actually helped me find a way to work with my insurance to get another wheelchair. They were so compassionate and understanding, where my insurance company absolutely wasnt. Thanks to Apria I got another wheelchair in less than a week and could get back to focusing on my recovery.Thank you for helping me through a very tough time.
I called to have an oxygen concentrator deliver for my mom discharge from hospital but she still need oxygen to breath due to Covid-19. The receptionist is very rude. she told me that this is not Mcdonald it will take 3-6 business days to process. She should not be working at customer service.
The front office was great, really nice people... I came in to pick up my cpap machine the two employees at the front desk were very kind and polite... Parking was bad.. ..2 stars on the parking...
Warning! They will take your CPAP supplies and will RETURN them if you have a gate code and they don’t have it!In the eight years I’ve been a client of Apria, it’s never been a problem. Now it seems to be!
This place is so incredibly frustrating to work with. They outsource patient communication but are so inefficient that I think it would be more cost effective for them to hire a handful of competent people locally. If possible try to get your insurance to use another vendor.
Being new to CPAP I was lost with all the equipment and instructions. Because of the COVID 19 situation, I didn’t get any hands-on training. I have been bounced around by APRIA from one person to the next with no good experiences for weeks but just by chance I was put in touch with a respiratory therapist named Judy at the Irvine CA office. She was very helpful and I met her at the office where she discovered that I had been sent a CPap machine not a BiPap as the doctor had ordered. I had also been sent the wrong face mask. Within 24 hours she had me set up with the right machine and the right face mask and her team showed me how to use it. She followed up with a call to make sure I was doing ok with the new equipment. Apria appears to be a poorly run organization that screws everything up but they have a great team at their Irvine office. Everyone there was helpful and made me feel like they knew their job. Even their warehouse supervisor was customer friendly and welcoming. JUDY is a rockstar. 5 star customer service.
Jay did a GREAT job bringing up heavy oxygen machine for my brother-explained everything on how to use and how to deal with maintenance-Grade A++++++
This company, or certainly the Irvine bunch, is the worst of the worst for communicating with them for help, concerns, or services. They seem to have one person who answers the phone calls and is superbly trained at putting you off. They are open 8 to 5 - and that is it - get it. They seem to over charge. They seem to only have one phone number, which helps them channel everything through it. That limits the number of calls, and it lets them say they provide help over the phone. It works very well - for them, but not the customer.
This is the absolute worst place you could EVER go. I DO NOT recommend. Customer service is routed to the Philippines and they have no clue of what they are talking about. They have been faxed on numerous occasions all the supporting documentation last on sent 04/03/19 all this for an oxygen concentrator up-grade. This has been going for over a YEAR now no more, time to call INSURANCE COMMISSION and start filing complaints. The LUNG CANCER will kill me first with all the hours of recorded phone calls and anxiety.
They keep billing me (and Blue Shield) for services never provided. over 4 hours total on the phone and its still not resolved. Blue Shield is looking into it.
If I could, Id give them no stars. Hospital called in the order at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. Waited over 5 hours for oxygen to be delivered. As of 9:15 pm it wasnt, and my husband has a 4 hour tank for his pneumonia. Tried to call the company to check on delivery and have been on hold for 40 minutes. I dont actually think anyone is monitoring the calls. Thankfully we will not be long term customers. But if you have ANY other choice, take it.
This is the worst customer service I ever experienced. I surprise they are still in business. This place is so incredibly frustrating to work with. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE AT ALL!!!
This is the worst customer service I ever experienced. I surprise they are still in business. Not even worth 1 star but no option I have to put a star. Representative is rude.
Beautiful place, well organized, professional people.
This is a group of criminals posing as a healthcare group. They over charged me for a CPAP machine, I didnt realize it until I started looking online for the same machine. First they charged a copay then they wanted the balance which was $100. 00 more than a new machine would cost.My 80 year old mother was being charged 4X the amount for a oxygen machine. And they will call relentlessly. Even after I blocked them they changed the number and kept calling. You can buy the equipment you need on Amazon and still save money. I dont expect Apria to stay in business much longer but I would suggest avoiding them all together
My 87 year old 62 dad has a regular size wheel chair that is WAY too small for him! His doctor put in an order for a taller chair. We have bein trying since July 16th to get him a taller wheel chair. His knees are now starting to bother him. We has called at least eight times and each time its the same story- we provide them with all the SAME information everytime!! They say that they are sending my concerns to the escalation department and promise a call back within 24 hours. To date I have not recieved a call from the escalation department. HOWEVER - today I recieved a call to collect the money for the Wheelchair WE HAVENT EVEN RECEIVED!!! Iits been so long my dads knees are bothering him! The wheelchair he has currently is my dads independence but he cant use it because its too small and uncomfortable! So you are delaying his independance!!!
It is pretty unbelievable the amount of discusted reviews this so called company has! But truly Not suprised at all! All l know is is that they do not care about the patient, my husband has been waiting for his Cpap machine for over 2 weeks, even after they got all the necessary documentation. Shame on Blue Shield for using Apria, who by the way out source their work to the Phillipines, so they can pay measly wages! Well there you go, this is why we get measly services provided to us. Sad where this country has come to, the dollar sign is more important than our well being. Shame on all of you!!!
My mother had been renting an oxygen concentrator tanks and a portable oxygen machine from Life Care solution. In November 2017 I bought her an Inogen portable unit. I called Life Care Solution and had them pick up all their equipment, they picked everything up in January 2018. The gentleman that picked up the equipment gave me an itemized statement showing what was picked up. Apria Healthcare bought Life Care Solution and started to Bill my mom for the portable unit that was returned. I faxed them a copy of the paperwork showing what was picked up as well as the paperwork for the portable unit that I purchased. Each month I waste about 40 minutes calling to try to have the portable removed from her bill. Four times I have faxed a copy of the pickup receipt and the receipt for the unit I purchased. I have driven over to Apria’s office and they have copied my paperwork showing that it was picked up. They still refuse to refund the over charge and keep charging her. They won’t allow me to talk to a supervisor and say there is nothing they can do. While going through my mom’s paperwork I realized they are scamming her Insurance company too. So I am going to contact her insurance company.Be smart and stay away from this company. Read their reviews and believe what people are saying. They will probably attach their normal bs statement on my review. They have never called me back or followed up.
If I could do a zero star review I would. I just received a call for my daughter for her nebulizer. First problem, we needed the nebulizer 2 months ago. Second problem, I received one from her Physicians office the same day we were seen so why am I being called now. And if something as important as a nebulizer takes 2 months I would hate to think how long other services take.
Universally incompetent HME/DME provider; I got a new authorization for supplies from my primary care physician. Apria shipped me a multi-month order without contacting me in any way. A week later, when I made inquiries about changing one item, the Apria rep could not even send me to the correct location, instead giving me an erroneous address miles from their actual location. Not worth your time.
If you value your health & time, DO NOT USE APRIA! They dont call back, refuse to let you speak to a supervisor, wont give you phone number to local office, your calls are routed out of the country & youll speak to someone who barely speaks English who wont help you. Pick any other company but them.
I am a patient that was approved for the CPAP and never received a bill until several months ago, now they are demanding almost $1,000.00. I was approved for a different CPAP machine several years ago and never received a bill. Not sure if this is an insurance overlook/scam or what but this is very unnerving that you can be approved for the maching use it and then out of the blue start getting bills for it. Looks like a complaint to the Attorney Generals office is the next move.
This is a bogus company that just rips you off! Beware! I’ve had nothing but problems with them for the year that I had my cpap machine, which by the way doesn’t help me at all! Stay away from these thieves! By reading the reviews almost everyone is having the same issues wth apria as me.
The worst customer service I have ever had. DO NOT USE!!!! You will be sorry. I have medicare and Amthems Blue Cross and they still put me in collections. All customer service is in India. You cannot understand them and I waited 14 minutes to be put on hold and then put on hold again.
Customer service? Guest Parking 2 spaces and little to no street parking. There products keep people alive but service needs help
Ive had more problems with this company than any other medical company Ive ever had to deal with. I wish my doctor had recommended someone else.
Idk whether my health insurance (prospect) is to blame or these guys. Then again when I talk to these folks on the phone they never have their story straight. Did a sleep study back in June STILL NO MACHINE. Meanwhile my health is deteriorating each day from poor sleep and EVERYONE complains about my snoring making my blood pressure even higher.
Im beyond frustrated with this company. I have been dealing with them for over 2 mths. With my issues still unresolved. I live in a rural area, supplies, I ve been told were left inside my security gate, which can only be opened by remote, which I bever received, while I have a parcel size post box outside the gate. They withdrew funds from my account and have not yet as far as I am concerned delivered my supplies. I was forced to deal with their courier Golden State whom can not confirm receipt of goods and sent me back to Apria. I have since tajen business elsewhere and can not seem to get my money returned. The corporate office has not helped. Cystomer Service is in the Phillipeans, can not understand them and they required me to give my debit info. I have Anthem Blue Cross PPO and was refered by them. It looks like small claims to get my money back.
April is without doubt the worst company I have had the misfortune to deal with.Contacting the CEO is also useless as he does not respond to emails .Im
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
Very friendly staff and helpful!!!
