Mitsuwa is a Japanese supermarket that hosts a number of restaurants and bakery ๐Ÿฅฏ eateries. As I learned from some Japanese shoppers, Mitsuwa provides most of the grocery needs. In addition, it has some kitchen and home needs. It also provides some beauty products . There is a dine in area with three restaurants and one ๐Ÿฎ outlet in addition to a bakery ๐Ÿง.

Smaller Mitsuwa but has many of the items youโ€™ll look for. We came here to buy shabu shabu meats and vegetables. We also picked up some sushi/sashimi to eat in the car. Busy plaza with many different food, drinks, and shopping places. Cameras everywhere in this Mitsuwa.

I only went here to for the restaurant inside which I highly recommend for Japanese cuisine lovers.I ordered the Tempura bowl which had two tiger shrimps, with generous sides of tempura battered eggplant, squash, string beans, and another fish. It wasnt the juiciest and the crispiest, but it was tasty enough for its price. The order also came with Edamame and Miso soup which overall is a very filling meal.

I donโ€™t give bad reviews to the store easily, but this time Iโ€™m serious. I want to talk about my experience in this Japanese supermarket for everyone to share. First, I bought a box of ceramic bowls and a ceramic pot on Sunday afternoon., I didnโ€™t plan to return the product at the time, so I threw the invoice. When I got home, my husband didnโ€™t like the pattern in the ceramic bowl and suggested that I return the product. So on Wednesday, I rushed to return the product. At that time, the person in charge of the service desk said that she did not have the invoice. I canโ€™t return the goods. I said that I paid with a credit card. You can check it. She said that an invoice is required to refund. Later, she said that the manager would be here at noon and asked me to come back to the manager to refund. I had no choice but to leave first. I came back to this shop in the afternoon, but the person in charge and the other male colleague had the same caliber and would not refund if there was no invoice... Soon the two of them avoided the service desk, went into the office inside and couldnโ€™t come out, and left me there. No matter...what kind of attitude is this? How can there be managers and persons in charge who handle things like this? Does this attitude represent the attitude of Mitsuwa Supermarket? Later, when I saw that I was angry, the female person in charge came out and said that she could return the goods, but this time, her attitude was very bad! I want to say: You are not satisfied with the 90-day return period for all items at Costco, and the invoice is lost. Help print new ones for return at the door to reduce query time and troubles for each other... You look at Amazon returning the $5 voucher for encouragement Return the goods, so ask the person in charge of Mitsuwa to study hard! I said this is just a bad experience where I feel uncomfortable here, so I would like to give a kind reminder to friends who are going to spend here. If you are not completely satisfied with the goods, please keep the invoice, otherwise the next one will feel that shopping is risky and uncomfortable. Feels like you...

I live in Irvine for more than 6 years and have be a regular customer of this Mitsuwa. I had always had a good impression about the place. The market is very clean and the snacks are super cute. However, I was shocked today when the cashier(Pearline) rolled her eyes at me and smashed my product on the counter simply because I changed my mind on a bag of candy. What an attitude!!! The candy was hang on the side of the shelf in a set of five. I thought these bags are sold separately and took one of them. The cashier was very unhappy initially when she saw that I took only one and blamed me for not taking the set. She immediately asked the other cashier to take the whole set to me without asking whether I needed the whole set. Then when I told her I did not want a whole set of candy, she rolled her eyes at me and smashed the cookie on the counter in front of me. My friend and I were so shocked!!! If she told me nicely that I had to take the whole set because I already took one, I can understand that and would pay for it. I was so upset about her attitude that I spoke to her manager. She was then brought by her manager, reluctantly. She kept telling me that she already apologized but I did not hear l am sorry the whole time. Eventually she said that she apologized for what she had done but her attitude didnt seem sorry at all. I am so disappointed with this Mitsuwa and would not recommend to any of my friends who live here. After all, this is not the only mitsuwa in Irvine.

Its a Mitsuwa! Just a smaller version, but has the essentials for a neighborhood market. The produce seemed up to date and fresh. Though small, all the aisles seemed to have just what you need for day to day needs. This one still has the signature side stores inside, a beauty shop, chocolatier, donut bakery, and lunch restaurant serving ramen and the usual japanese dishes.

A really small market, but they have really neat stuff. They also have other small shops around the store, but havent been since they were closed /: other than that, they have meats and produce that are a quick grab and go. Same with boxed lunches that are located in the back. A variety of noodles and snacks. Small, but very convenient. Overall, a decent market!

I usually think of Mitsuwa as my one-stop shop for Japanese snacks, but Ive been expanding more into the grocery aisles. This location is definitely smaller in comparison to the Costa Mesa location, but it hits the spot when Im in a need of a restock of the Japanese coarse ground sauce (regular and the spicy version), Ajinomoto gyudon frozen meats, and other specialty finds.I personally find everything else a bit more expensive than Id like, such as their selection of sliced meats, perfectly packaged vegetables, fruits and eggs. I mention eggs since the last time I was there, they only had cage-free organic eggs for about $6, which was more than my budget for eggs haha. Fortunately, the quality of fresh produce is outstanding and dont mind paying a little extra on fruits or veggies, just not eggs. However, I do enjoy picking up a few items such as kiri mochi, curry cubes, yuzu hot sauce, and anything else interesting that may be on sale. One of those items that was on sale thats now a mainstay in our freezer has been those gyudon meet packs found in the frozen aisle from Ajinomoto or Yoshinoya. Its a quick meal when Im lazy to cook, so a definite win.Although not my one-stop grocer, it does the job when I need a few specialty items for the pantry.

We came purely for the ramen. Several different restaurants within the store. As for the ramen, it was very good! The soup was well season and balanced, I believe I got the Tan Tan. The noodles felt quality (that was strange to say, but you know what I meant). The difficult part was finding a seat. The tables were pretty much occupied at all times. People just keep rotating in and out of them. Crazy. Definitely recommend if you have the patience to wait for a table. They also have a delicious pastries!

Mitsuwa has to be one of my favorite markets to go to, always boasting a wide selection of Japanese products and delicious food court choices. The Irvine branch is no exception. While theyre outlet isnt quite as large as some of the other locations, it still holds nearly the same variety. What really earned the five stars for me was how kind the customer service was.
