I went in to Mobile Kangaroo for a cracked screen on my iPhone. Christian’s customer service was great and he was able to fix my screen in under an hour. Very satisfied. Will be back for future repairs.
Took in my Macbook Pro for repair since it wouldnt turn on. I have Applecare, so they did the diagnostics and repairs free (battery needed to be replaced).The battery had to be ordered, so it took about 3 business days to get it all taken care of.No issues at all.
This is the abbreviated version of events of my experience with Mobile Kangaroo. What can I say other than this company lost all my files off of my old computer when their entire work order was to recover it. Oh, and they scratched my monitor internally.Due to human error, not a technical or hardware error, they put all our files on their computer, thought they transferred it onto our old computer, and then proceeded to delete it off their working computer. All of our sensitive documents including tax information and professional papers are now gone.They tried to appease us for the inconvenience of how long it was taking them and their unresponsiveness, prior to the loss, by throwing in an external hard drive for free. This hard drive contained A HANDFUL of our photos AND several folders and photo albums of ANOTHER FAMILYS PERSONAL FILES ON IT.The whole process started on November 2020 and we JUST now got our computer back (it is now NEARLY APRIL) with very little communication on their part with progress and updates along the way. Every time I got notice for anything, sans one time at the end of this fiasco, was because I initiated it or because I got corporate involved.DO NOT USE this third party company from Apples corporate site. I hope to save someone the pain of a massive headache and a waste of time and money if they are looking at this place for repair. And I will continue to work with corporate to try and shut this wreck of a business down.
I went into Mobile Kangaroo due to an airpod cracking at a certain volume level, Christian was able to diagnose the airpod which was defective and was able to replace it with another in a couple days! Very Satisfied and great customer service!!!! Will go back for future fixes.
What was an easy two week job turned into months of waiting, having to go back and forth multiple times, and empty promises.We made it clear in the first conversation that we wanted all data, including from our windows partition, recovered. Instead we wait months and get back a handful of pictures.The only individual.we could actually get ahold of would only talk to us off hours and made it a point to say he didnt need to do us this service. DO YOUR JOB CALL US DURING BUSINESS HOURS THEN.Once Mobile Kangaroo has your money, youre no longer a customer. They just gas light you until you give up.This place is clearly mismanaged and riddled with incompetency.AVOID.

It was easy to drop off and they even had a convenient delivery service. There was a seamless integration with the Apple factory and their digital pay system and service updates were awesome.My computer works great and the repairs were covered by my AppleCare minus a small fee that Apple collects.Very happy with my experience!

I took my wifes iPhone in for repair because it was the only place that had an appointment for repair for at least another week. They completely fixed the phone within an hour. I dropped it off and came back when it was done...completely painless and easy. I would use these guys again if I need to. Thank you for doing quality work!

I took my 2020 Mac book air per Apple support to this place because all apple stores were closed due to covid.The issue was that the screen on the left side had a 2 inch wide vertical line going from the top to the bottom. I had bought the item 5 months ago so it was supposed to be under warranty. This item had zero scratches, dents, or any signs of damage. I got a call from them saying that the screen had a crack. I was shocked as I had inspected the item head to toe before taking it in.They used a flash light to show what appeared to be a Half circle super dark matter behind the screen and said it was cracked from the inside. Based on their claims they denied a warranty repair and quoted me $550 (60% of the price of a brand new one).Now ironically I had the same issue with the vertical lines on the left side on another 2020 Mac book air, which started 4 days after I bought it.This is important because it clearly shows that this item has a manufacturing defect. However, these guys were trying to avoid the warranty by claiming that I had broken the item from the inside without damaging the outside. My lesson from this experience is that always look at reviews before using a business that you don’t know.If I had only looked at the reviews here before.

I never write reviews but I had to make an exception because the service I experienced here was absolutely amazing and beyond my expectations. I made an appointment here through Apple for a keyboard replacement and came in on a Tuesday. I had my laptop checked out so they could order the parts they needed and they called me back on a Thursday to tell me that the parts were in. I was told originally that the repair might take a couple days, which worried me because I needed my laptop for school, but the repair was done in only a few hours and I was able to get it the same day. Overall, they were really nice, fast, and communicative with their service and I would definitely come back here.
Brought my phone in which was stuck in recovery mode and had a broken lock button. The employee fixed my lock button which fixed the other issue within five minutes and didnt charge me a dime. Awesome service. Also probably the safest Covid protocols of any business in the area
The staff here was very nice and professional. I went in to have my screen repaired on my iPhone 11 after my toddler cracked it. The staff went above and beyond to assist me. I was surprised to be in and out within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend them!!!
This place was TERRIBLE. Went in to get keyboard fixed. Was under warranty, and even got a new battery free. I got it back with the wifi unable to connect and the headphone jack not working. Took it back and they fixed the wifi. Months later and my macbook is making cracking noises and overheating. I took it in to a real repair shop. When he unscrewed the back case we found that there were parts MISSING. The cover of the battery was gone. It was touching the case directly. Great way to get a short and blow up your macbook. Other components were installed incorrectly and all of the screws were only halfway in. Can’t believe this place is certified. It should be closed down.
I had a phone that wasnt charging or turning on, and it was less than a year old. Spent about 3 hours over 3 days on the phone with Apple support, but it wasn’t til I brought it here that my problem was actually fixed, and in less time than I spent on the phone with support . Very happy
Im not sure why this location has all of these negative reviews. I dropped my laptop off on Tuesday afternoon for a repair that was covered by Apple and expected to get my laptop back no earlier than 7 days. To my surprise, the issues were diagnosed and fixed in 3 days. Everyone that I spoke to here was nice and courteous and very professional. I was initially charged a diagnostic fee because my laptop appeared to be out of warranty, but when they realized the issues were covered, they immediately issued me a refund without me having to even ask and made sure everything was corrected. Ill definitely come to them again and will also recommend them to anyone else that needs their services.
You can’t call them. They tell you to go to support . Apple .com. to make an appointment.There isn’t even a link.So then you go there but you have to search and search and search to find out how to make the appointment.There should be one click to an appointment.I gave up and went to the unauthorized walk in place and it was fast, and easy and the quality is just fine.

Came here to get my son’s lab top screen fix and I’m not happy with the service. They need to have responsible adult run this place instead of a bunch of kids. After my parts was ordered, they told me it would take a couple of days. A week has and no calls so I called to find out that my parts has not shipped yet. The excuse I got was that Apply didn’t ship it out yet. I don’t buy that, they just forgot to put in the order because after that conversation, my order arrived 2-3 days later just how it was told to me in the first place. From the start I would inform every employee that I spoke to that I need to make sure to get the laptop back for my son’s online school. I told them the day before I dropped it off and when I dropped or off. That was ignored, no phone calls as to why they couldn’t finish it but everyone I spoke to told me that I would get it same da and I didn’t!! Unprofessional and unorganized! Will be letting Apple know for sure.
Reading these reviews I was very wary... it was either very good or very bad. I am happy to say that I am one of the very good ones.They were quick, responsive. The turn around time was also faster than expected. I had AppleCare and my keyboard broke due to manufacture so everything was replaced for free.Very happy and recommend this place. In addition they take really good precautions during covid. They only allow one guest at a time. Keep their distance and have contactless everything, except when you had your device. Even then they wipe it down and they wear gloves and masks.So again, you can feel safe coming here!

Terrible place to do business. The $65 diagnostic fee was not refundable and after they gave me the exorbitant cost of the repairs it was more than double what it would cost at an Apple store. I couldn’t get the refund on the diagnostic fee, but didn’t trust them so I refused to have them work on my computer, I went to an Apple store instead, and it still cost me less after that. I do not recommend doing business with these people. It felt like they looked to take as much as they could from me.

Although I did not get my cell phone screen fixed here, one fella in particular was extremely helpful and nice and I highly recommend this specific store to get the screen fixed of any phone or tablet.

Stay away. MacBook need a new “logo board” the cost will be $1165. Brought it home, changed the trackpad ordered from Amazon. Good as new. Save $1100 doing it myself. What a bunch of losers. Kept my diagnostic fee though. Stay away.
I wish I’d looked at the reviews before hand. They are so true I took my phone in last week I waited in the car for 2hrs almost three they told me it would only take a few hrs so I was fine & waited since I didn’t know the area well. One of the employees comes out to let me know they are unable to scan my phone because they had to send it out to apple. At this point I’m kinda disappointed cause it was just a battery repair so I had no choice my phone was messed up already & had to get it fix. I ask how long it would take they told me a week or so. I been the only one contacting them to keep me updated the last time I heard from them was Monday saying that it should already tomorrow which was Tuesday & they would contacts ups to see if there’s any delay. It’s Wednesday now still haven’t heard anything at all. Actually now that I’m typing this review they contacted my mom cause I told them to contact her now they are saying they are just sending it to apple a WEEK LATER I’m so frustrated and mad because I was patiently waiting only to hear them say it’s going to take another 2 WEEKS because they so call made a mistake. So dam unprofessional & they lack on communication A LOT. Hope everyone reads and see these reviews before going. Definitely would recommend anyone here. Listen to the rest of these reviews that’s why they only have one star.

Yoooooo these guys are legit.I have an iMac Pro that has been giving me some weird slow startup and lagging issues. Talked to Apple and the solution was to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the OS. I tried that myself while on the phone with apple and got some weird OS download errors, so apple sent me hopping over to Mobile Kangaroo in Irvine. My appointment time was set up for 2:40 and I walked in to their Covid19 safe distanced no contact check in area and checked in super easily on my phone and left my computer with one of their friendly employees to have the diagnostics run to see if anything else was wrong. I got a call back the next day before noon saying my computer was ready for pick up so I came down and Christian and Brandon (I think thats both of their names, Im terrible) both explained what they did and said I was good to go. Super cool guys and great to see everyone wearing masks and gloves and doing the distanced no contact drop off and pick up. Thanks again guys. Ill be back

How can we file a complaint with apple? poor service. horrible. It has been more than two weeks since I dropped off my Macbook pro but havent heard from them. At the time I dropped off my laptop they said the diagnosis process is gonna take about one day or two days maximum and you will receive a call soon. However I never heard back. If I read the reviews before I wouldnt leave my device with them never ever. Hope nothing happen to it.
I brought my computer in on Nov. 5th, for repairs. (My computer had been broken since Oct. 28th). I did not receive it back until today, Nov. 18th - 13 Day Turnaround. The reason I am giving Mobile Kangaroo a 1 Star rating is because 1.) When I made the initial payment, they told me that I hadnt payed yet, and almost made me make the transaction twice until I showed them proof on my end that I indeed had completed the payment. This which they called, a glitch on their end, subsequently delayed them from ordering my parts for a couple of days which in the end just made the entire process a lot more annoying and lengthy. Not very professional to say the least... 2.) When they did eventually receive the parts, it was quite a while later, and then they inform me that a part had arrived DOA or Dead On Arrival, like it was a normal occurrence. Therefore, pushing the repairs back even longer. 3.) There wasnt much transparency or correspondence on their end unless I explicitly and continuously kept bugging them first. 4.) At the end of the day, yes they got the job done, but at what cost. I am a college student taking 4 classes all virtually, who had no computer for approximately 22 Days (Almost 4 Weeks of School)... You can only imagine the amount of stress and panic Ive had to endure these past couple of weeks. I would have just appreciated a lot more urgency on their end. I understand, yes we are amidst a pandemic, but regardless I feel the process was a lot more annoying and upsetting than it should have been. I really wish I had checked the reviews before I brought my MacBook in, but alas I was desperate. To anyone who may be reading this, just take your device into a REAL Apple store for repairs. I only personally opted for here because it was the only place that had availability in my area at the time I was searching for appointments, and once again I was very desperate. To Apple, I have no idea why this place is affiliated with your company, and I think you should really reassess if you want your brand to be associated with such a store.
I was having some trouble with my MacBook Pro I came in and had a tech look at it they got back to me within in 24 hours and told me that they had to replace my battery I got my computer back in 3 business days great service.Special thanks to the guy with the big ears.
Horrible service. I called to confirm the ability of parts to repair a device because I would be driving from a distance. This was a device I was going to drop off in tandem with an Apple device. I was assured it could be fixed. When I got there I was told it could not be fixed because it was a pc and they cannot get the pieces. A guy from the back came out and said they will put some epoxy on it if I want and make it usable for $95 (it was a broken hinge on a kids computer). I agreed. When you drive away they send you an email that says $65 to even look at it. I called back and reminded them of our conversation. The lady said she knew nothing about it and the cost would be much higher. Mind you this happened when I got home so I had to get back in the car and go pick up both of my devices. $65 and nothing repaired. For piece of mind, I would go elsewhere.
The reason I am rating Mobile Kangaroo with this low of a review is due to their lack of professionalism and customer service .As someone who has worked in the customer service industry and whom has also dealt with client repairs (phones and pcs) I was completely taken aback by their lack of communication and overall service.I understand times are tough andthis affects turn times anywhere.What I do notagree with or understand is how they took zero responsibility for their actions.Last Friday I dropped my phone off for a screen repair .Their phone operator stated their turn time for this was 3-4 hours.However,when I asked the simple question on an estimated time for pickup the woman at the front desk sneered negatively and said it wouldn’t be done that day because they close at 6 and that it would most likely be complete by noon Saturday.As a first time clientI was unaware of their current business hours(per their site and google hours differ dueTo Covid ).This being said,that woman could’ve handled the situation in a more positive manner.I left there not knowing when the repairWould be complete and also thinking I would get a call by noon on Saturday.To my surprise they were closed Saturday.This was a huge disappointment and also infuriating.Today I called in to check on the repair and that sameWoman answered the phone.She completely interrupted me while I tried to ask why she’d lied on Friday and hadn’t given an accurate repairtime frame.I explained now it was an inconvenience to leave work because they closeat 6 and my job has me til 5:30.She just saidPhone was currently In diagnostics and someone would eventually call.I had to call myself to find out where the repair was at multiple times,had to leave work and on top of itall once I got there she rolled her eyes and was going to have me check in after her colleagueHad been nice enough to ask myInfo and go in the back for my phone.I don’t know how front desk is trained there but just know i won’t be going back.Horrible service and communication there !
I am having the same issue as everyone else who has reviewed this place. I dropped off my computer 3 weeks ago and thought the battery recall would take a few days to repair. It’s been three weeks and whenever I have messaged the store I am told it will be 5-7 days from when they ordered the battery. Well tomorrow will be 15 business days since I dropped it off. I called today and left a message saying I’d like an update or to pick up my computer since I need to use it at this point. No call back. I am genuinely concerned at this point if I will even see my computer again.
Honestly, I would give them ZERO STARS if I could.I don’t even know where to start with this business, so I will just write everything that we experienced here.My wife made an appointment through Apple to have her MacBook Air battery replaced here. I dropped it off April 20, and I picked it up May 14, that’s 24 full days. When we told them that it took a long time l, they said that they were backed up due to Covid-19 and I understand that, but not once did they ever call us to give us any updates. Any updates that we got were because we called them to ask about the computer.When my wife finally got a call to pick up her computer they left a voicemail message saying that It was ready for pick up at any time, but that was not the case when I showed up to pick up. I had to wait around 20 minutes for them to finish doing the final diagnostic test to be able to close the ticket.Once I finally got the computer back, it did not have its case nor the keyboard cover on, I had to go back in twice to let them know that I had dropped it off with the case and keyboard cover, they gave me the case back but they misplaced the keyboard cover and they offered to send me it once they find it or buy me a new one and I agreed, but honestly I have very low expectations, so we ordered one, so I’m out an extra $10, it’s definitely not much but I find it unnecessary that I had to buy something I already had and had worked well for me for years just because it was misplaced. It also did not look like they had cleaned it at all even though they have a sign that says that they clean your stuff before you pick up.So to summarize, this business is very poorly ran. Take your devices elsewhere because you’ll be without them for a long time and they might even lose your stuff.
I’m unfortunately unable to recommend this repair company based on my ongoing experience with lacking customer service support. I would love to be able to update this review if I receive a call back from their store, but as of now, my computer has been at their store for 19 days and the last update I received was 13 days ago, despite my calling several times and requesting a call back. This was for a battery replacement under warranty. I completely understand if there are delays in any repair timeline, but communication to your customers is paramount to them trusting your services.
Mobile Kangaroo got my macbook fixed up in a day. They said it could be up to five, but were incredibly prompt and professional. New keyboard, battery, and touchpad under warranty. I did have to go back, as the wifi was not working but Christian got it working in just a few minutes and even offered to drop it off to me after if that was more convenient. They may be small and have just started up recently, but they have definitely earned my service for any further repairs.
I was hesitant to get my MacBook Pro fixed here with all the negative reviews, but I have had such a positive experience! My Mac keyboard had some keys that weren’t working anymore and Mobile Kangaroo fixed it right up! They left my laptop looking brand new! They did it using my AppleCare warranty and I was able to get my MacBook back within 2-3 days! They also have good COVID precautions and other options, including drop off or shipping your device if you would like to avoid contact. Thank you Mobile Kangaroo!
Terrible customer service
We brought in our Macbook Pro to this apple service dealer and were told that logic board needed to be changed out. The technician took out our 2.9 ghz i7/1 TB SSD and 4 gb radeon video board and replaced with logic board with much inferior specs 2.6 ghz i7/ 250 GB storage and 1.6 gb video board. We were shocked at this downgrade! We have proof of what we had brought in with the store receipt spelling out the specs. Also we had viewed the Macbook settings when we purchased it to confirm that it was 2.9 ghz i7 with 1 TB SSD. We needed the larger storage space to do what we needed. Technician never called us with estimate details and was hoping we would say yes to $850 job based on a text message which is ridiculous. Only after asking did he call us with details. He has not offered to fix the situation and is telling us that our previous logic board had same specs as the one he replaced even though we have proof otherwise from the store receipt. We had also made it very clear to him prior to the paying that we wanted the logic board with exact same superior specs that we had previously had. He took 1 month to repair and gave us a substandard logic board. With such inferior specs our Macbook Pro is unusable and will be taking it elsewhere for repair. We have filed a complaint with apple. We will also be filing a complaint with the Bettter Business Bureau.
Booked through Apple website to do keyboard replacement to hear that they had no part, might be a good team I cannot tell but I have lost one hour and another spot for repair because of this. Apple might have picked too many repair shop to manage the keyboard gate
