Stopped for a treat from this place in a long while. Wish they still made this particular pastry that was kinda like a garlic twist in shape and texture with a crunchy exterior and soft center, but it was an entirely dessert item made with dried cranberries and, if I recall, almond slices.

The line was super long today! (11:30pm) there were only 2 workers, one at the bread register and one making drinks. The line was out the door! I waited in the bread line for about 10 mins before the line started getting long behind me. The drinks I ordered took another 15 minutes before I received them. They were put in a plastic bag so I didnt see them on the counter at first, I thought they were someones bread, lol oops! I love their Boba milk tea because Im lactose intolerant and all their drinks are lactose free (made with SOY MILK!). Super awesome!

Ordered mango cake 1 day in advance to have a Birthday Note with Name. At the time of delivery, it was not given with Birthday Name Note written on the cake. He had refunded after discussing with 10 minutes, but when the cake was opened, the cake was deliberately damaged. Never had such a bad experience especially for a young boys birthday party cake.

“Freeeeeeeesh bread!” is what you’ll often hear at the bakery. My family loves this place so much that I have to take 2 boxes full on a plane every time I go home. You can’t go wrong with any of the breads... but the cakes are mediocre in my opinion. Must try: chocolate chip bread, brioche loaf, taro bun, sausage cheese, Hawaiian chicken... so many choices!!!

85 is one of those places I cant get enough of. I always say its like the Asian version of Portos (although nothing could qui5e compare to Portos). People will tell me that 85 is overrated and overhyped but I dont care, its so good!! Ive always been a huge fan of Korean bakeries, and even though 85 is not that, you really cant beat the prices for the quality of bread here.My favorites are the egg and cheese tarts, the brioche, and the almond apple danish. I seriously have dreams about the tarts, and Ive gone multiple times during lockdown just to pick them up because Im craving them so bad. They also used to have this maple toast that I would get all the time, although I havent seen it in a hot minute. The sea salt coffee is also one of the staples here, and even if I dont drink coffee, I always take a sip of my sisters or my friends haha. Ill honestly probably stop by here again tomorrow since its like walking distance from my house LOL...oops..

Just picked up a cake here. The person there says there is no one to write a name on the cake. Really, you need someone with masters degree to just write a simple name on the cake? And the message was not delivered politely or nicely. Just a blunt, rude response of they cannot do it. Please do not sell cakes if you cannot write a simple name on it. Best, put that on your website that you dont write names on celebratory cakes! Never coming back to this location for a cake!

If going to buy water from this location, I would not recommend. The water does taste good, but they do not offer any ice. It is served in a 2 Oz cup at room temperature. A good quick thirst quencher if needed, but not a drink to have along side your bread. I would advise to bring your own beverage.

Ive always loved 85degrees and since leaving California, its the one thing I really do miss. I havent found anything like it. I was so happy to see they were open during this pandemic, and doing things great! The breads were pre-wrapped, and staff still as attentive and friendly. I missed the 85degree iced coffee and went daily and was never disappointed. Still THE.BEST.ICED.COFFEE on the planet! I hope to see you again!!!♥️

After having dim sum at Tim Ho Wan next door we passed by 85C for dessert. The baked goods are delicious, I have had them before at the location in Century City Mall. My only gripe and the 3 star rating is for the slow service if you want a drink. If there’s remotely any kind of line it takes them forever to make bubble tea and espresso drinks. They need to sort that out and make it faster.

85c Bakery in Irvine has unique variety of fresh baked bread, coffee drinks, pastries and many more unique items. One of the more convenient things about this place is its hours and location. Bakeries usually close at around 8ish but this spot is open late and always busy. The bread is fresh, theyre always bringing out freshly baked bread. This place can get a little packed and wait times to pay can range from 10-20min. If youre looking for a safe place to hang out and check out the different restaurants around the this is definitely worthwhile stopping by.

I personally enjoyed the bread more than any refrigerated cakes or anything. The smoothies are not made from real fruit so didnt enjoy that. The cakes and all the bakery items are unbelievably good. I seriously recommend their Mango mousse cake, divine! One thing I don’t like is the place is always crowded but can’t help, right? The stuff’s really delicious. This time I ordered from their kiosk & no one helped me for a long time & when I finally went to see, they were really reluctant, not sure why! Also I would like to suggest to hire people who can speak English, not fluent per se but they should be able to converse.

Interesting fact: The brand name 85C comes from the perfect Celsius temperature to brew coffee. Heres another: 85C originated from Taiwan, and has grown into an international brand all over Asia, Australia, here in the US as well. When there is always a line at a bakery, you know the stuff is super good! Get the squid ink bun if available, and try the egg tarts too! Sea salt coffee is a must have. Another interesting fact: 85C has been referred to as the Starbucks of Asia, yet a single store can gross mich higher than a typical Starbucks there.

In Taiwan this is pretty much the 7-11 of bakeries and coffee shops for cheap bakery and drinks. This is sort of like a Mc Donald’s or Taco Bell version in Taiwan of cakes, bakery and coffees. They are not horrible but not great either. On a 1-5 scale this is probably a 2.5 for quality. Boba milk tea from here tastes like watered down tea and the boba is not good. Bakery is ok and better compared to other bakeries but no wow factor here. I had a couple of sips from the boba milk tea and had to throw the rest away. Kids though may like this place. Paris Baguette offers better quality cakes I think.

This spot is what you would get if Starbucks and a panaderia had a baby in China.Remember when Krusty Kreme Donuts came to town? Lines out-the-door, down-the-street and to-the-next-town? Remember that after a week everybody either came to their senses or died from complications from diabetes?Well, this is that. But the lines here are still long, but they move very quickly. While people have tired of fresh glazed donuts, the popularity of 85°s wares only seem to wax. On our most recent trip, my wife noticed that easily half of the customers were non-Asian, where before they were almost all Asian. The sea salt coffee is our favorite thing on the menu, with the taro pastry and the chocolate cream pastry close behind. There are sweet pastries galore, but also some savory ones in case you just want to grab a lunch.85° used to be The Big Secret Spot to get delicious cakes for office birthdays or for a place to take a date. Now, as they have gained popularity, more locations are being spotted all over.Dont be afraid of their Asian theme, this place has tons of good stuff for everybody.Except diabetics.
