Great variety of Korean food. This place is my go-to for veggies and meat for grilling. The staff is friendly and the place has a nice level of cleanliness. Their instant ramen selection is also great, with plenty of flavors to choose from. Its also a little retired from the center of town, making it less busy at peak times. Overall, nice place. An almost-hidden, hidden gem.

I (used to ) love Zion, it’s one of my favorite places in Irvine area for produce and seafood .I stopped by at the Zion market on university drive and picked up some vegetables and chicken gizzards . I couldn’t smell anything while I was in the store most likely due to the mask. I could feel the pungent stale meat smell right away after I took the mask off in the car .It’s obvious the refrigerator broke or they are just selling stale meat. I wish they least had the courtesy to let the customers know something was wrong and not sell the bad stuff rather than deceiving them.Well, I’m glad there’s H Mart which will be my go to place from now on .Btw, chicken went straight into my trash . That’s where it belonged in the first place.

Very disappointed. Bought 2 boxes of strawberries this morning. Ended up throwing away more than 1 box...they were all rotten... They should not even sell items like this at the first place.Also, bought 2 boxes of Vegemil Soymilk. Both should be $9.99 per box. When I checked the receipt, it showed as 9.99 for one and 11.99 for the other box. Had to go back to the store for the refund of the difference. Something like this happened few times previously: the numbers on the receipts do not match the ones on the shelves.

This is a Korean market which carries lots of ingredients for Korean cooking. They have a bakery & food court within. They also carry ready made food. If you love Fuji apples or Korean pears & melons, this is the place to visit. Their fruits are very fresh and at times on sale which is a bargain. This is the only market that carries Winter Melons which I love to use for soup. They also all kinds of fresh mushrooms. I do enjoy shopping here.

You can find good bargains in Asian food. But beware of the inexpensive vegetables and fruits. They dont last long!

Great produce selection and very fair prices overall. This is primarily an Asian market, so keep that in mind when looking you’re looking for packaging you recognize - chances are they have what you need, but the brand is just different than what you find at a Ralph’s or Vons.Their meat selection is also good, and they have an open seafood market with a ton of variety. The butchers are more than willing to help clean/prepare anything you purchase.There are a few sub-businesses within the store: an awesome bakery (they make a whole wheat bread that is so light and fluffy you’ll swear you’re eating air), Korean fare, sushi, and a juice bar. Because these are their own businesses you will pay for their goods at their counter - you don’t take them to the main checkout lane.

Cheap and fresh groceries with great customer service. Glad to go here as a UCI student since its much more affordable and has a better variety compared to UTC/near campus grocery stores.

Not the best prices and definitely not the place to go for typical American Staples, but its got a good selection of Asian foods you cant find elsewhere and really nice produce.

The produce and seafood here is very reasonably priced, and this is my go to place to get my vegetables and seafood.This location also typically seems to be much less crowded than the other Irvine location.

Great Korean grocery market with a food court that offers many different options. Korean fried chicken is must try.

Its ok but just remember that they like to almost always sell stuff a lot cheaper on the weekends for some odd reason. I dont like the bakery inside it, those guys handle their food with exposed hair and bare hands. I have photos of them doing so. Also, they didnt like it when I speak in Korean to them, so take that however as you will.

The store has great product selection, fresh and high quality food, but their security guards are not friendly and often stop people from entering when theres still plenty of time with the store open.

Fare Korean store, but I visited the produce department on Wednesday early afternoon didnt look fresh. The produce merchandise look picked over and product very low with some empty tables. The produce department wasnt very clean!

They have a website online that you can visit to check their weekly sales. When on sales, the vegetables and fruits are super cheap. My usual items to get here are tofu, vegetables, fruits, kimchi, roasted seaweed and miso paste.They have the cooked food area, but I havent tried before. There is a bakery section that sells fresh bread and bun. They also carry Duke Bakerys items (buns, bread) on the shelf near the entrance.Parking is easy. There was only 1 time that I had to park rather far away. Most of the time there are plenty of parking space.

Great market with lots of Korean specialty foods. Well priced fresh produce too. Some prepared foods but not as much as some other Korean markets. Lots of frozen veggies and prepared Korean foods.

This is the Zion Mart we visit the most. There are two in Irvine. Great deals are vegetables and Asian grocery items. It has more than Korean grocery. Great fish section and other marinated meat and Korean side dishes as well. Prices are good but not on Western products that you can buy at other grocery stores. (Obviously they are not competing with Ralphs or other Western groceries.)

This place is a local haven for me. Not only is it clean and covid plus safe minded, this place has a beautiful variety of vegetables, meat, and fish...at cheap prices! Where else can you buy octopus for sushi and your garden variety. Oh and there is plenty of walking space by the vegetables....what else do you need?

Clean, bright store with variety of produce and dry red beans ( the only two things I need from here).

Just saying, but this Zion Market is way better than the one on Yale & Irvine Blvd. If you go to the seafood section at the Yale location, they add water/ice and freeze the fish to make it weigh more. None of that at this University Dr location! Overall, the staff and workers are so much friendlier here. This location is farther from my home than the Yale location, but I have decided to go here for all my Korean grocery.

The meat price here is reasonable. Aisles are wide. Love the single queueing system. Interior is a bit outdated though; could use some renovation.

Its a great Korean super market, has fresh Asian fruits and vegetables, meat and fish selections, and also some Japanese and Chinese items....which you dont see in regular market. The produce has good price compare with regular super market, look for the sale items of the week. Try to go early for fresher selections, as items might run out by the end of the day. The location is very convenient, its off the Freeway for a quick in and out. It has some hot food to go, small bakery and food court to order food. Parking could be tricky on weekends or meal time, since its located in a plaza with many eateries.There are two Zion Mart in Irvine, personally, I prefer the Zion Mart on Irvine Blvd, because it has more selections.

What a treat this place is! Amazing and unique snacks from all over the world. World class Korean BBQ meats cut fresh from their butcher. Top shelf bulk rice with unreal bargain pricing. The best part is the produce section; values you have never seen before on fruit you have never seen before! Keep in mind, that price typically means it is ripe and ready to use that day. Perfect for meals you want to cook same day.

Theres everything what I needed

They are spray cleaning the shopping carts and taking customers temperatures, nice. Be careful when you are purchasing produce. The culprit this time was the daikon, it appeared fine but was clearly (black) rotten on the inside. Last year the persimmons were rotten on the inside. Unfortunately they may be freezing the produce and then selling it.

So far so good. There are 2 of these in Irvine - 1 in Northwood and 1 by Uni. So far ... This is the cleaner one but the critical food court test has not yet been conducted. If their food court is good, I will add 1 star.

Nice selections if Korean glocery and good price

If you are looking for Asian groceries, this is the best place to go to. Their prices are reasonable and way cheaper than 99 ranch. However, dont buy chicken here since their prices are higher than anywhere else for some reasons. Fruits and vegetables are okay. Beef is cheaper definitely. They always have discounts but the sale is different every week.

One of my favorite grocery stores with good bargains that change every week

Im giving this four stars because of the vast array of produce and meat they have there. The prices are just okay, but their produce is superior to many other stores. If I really wanted to shop around, I can find prices cheaper elsewhere.

I met Seyvion in the parking lot. Hes an amazing dude great energy also the place is the best for my ramen pickups 11/10.

I bookmarked this place snack finding storeThis Zion market is more like a international market than just a Korean supermarket. Sometimes you can find rare Chinese snacks and Japanese food here. They have very limited meats and seafoods here, also be aware of the meat you are purchasing here. My story is I bought a package of party wing, it is still before the sell by date, but the smell tells me the meat started to decay.

Loads of Asian goodies not found elsewhere. The staff is welcoming and caring.

The first thing that I noticed when I walked into Zion Mart was that it smelled really good. The personnel are very courteous and even go out of their way to be helpful. Outstanding produce, great prices, and great Staff; you couldn’t ask for a better place to shop. 👍👍👍👍👍

Nice korean market

It has a decent selection with the fresh produce and meat selection being pretty big. Only difference between this and the zion market on Irvine blvd is that there are less overall products since the location is smaller.

I come often because I can buy the ingredients I want cheaply. Sometimes there are products with less freshness, but I am satisfied.

Great Korean grocery store. Tons of options covering many different Asian foods. Zion Mart also has a number of restaurants housed within along with a number of packaged food options. Lots of samples available on the weekends to try stuff out before buying.

Im not sure when this place changed from Farm Direct to Zion Market but its still pretty similar. Produce is cheap and you can get a lot of Korean ingredients. Some stuff like butter is pretty pricy here. I like that the name tags for all the items are digital
