Rented. 6x12 enclosed trailer from this facility. Lorenzo Villa, the facility general manager exceeded my expectations of uhaul. Lorenzo was very professional listening to and understanding my moving needs.He went the extra mile ensuring that I got the trailer on time and the day required.Lorenzo was very polite during the entire process.All the staff at this facility were very helpful and friendly.I would definitely use this location again.
We had a situation in which the call center booked a truck we needed incorrectly, which put us in a very stressful situation. The manager here helped find us another truck and was completely professional. We are so thankful for the help he gave us in a situation where he didnt have to. I highly recommend this location!
They never, ever, ever answer the phone.
After having the Victor location (I live in Fairport) tell me they didnt have installers at their location I was directed to the Henrietta location. They were booked up for almost 2 months. The employee at Henrietta told me the Greece location would be able to assist with the installation. An appointment was made and I was email with the invoice. I arrived early at the Greece location only to be told they do not have installers on Sundays. The employee, Riley was able to schedule me for the following Thursday. I do appreciate his efforts, but the blame here lies with the Manager as he should have contacted me directly as to the issue. All this is time sensitive and while the reschedule will work out, the inconvenience of taking time off work and driving the that location twice is not good business! Now I am looking elsewhere to have the work done.
After making an appointment a month in advance, the installer told me that this was “the first time I have installed on your model of car”. 2 hours later I had a hitch and the part to install the electric because he couldn’t figure it out. Save yourself some trouble and go to somebody else first.
They don’t answer their phone
Repeat customer -- I prefer this location over others (despite having closer U-Haul locations nearby). They have great weekend and evening service hours, 24/7 self-service drop-off, accommodating vehicle availability, and an easy process for reserving truck rentals and purchasing moving supplies. Only once had a mileage calculation issue based on invalid odometer reading, but the business manager professionally corrected it. Overall, satisfactory experience & highly recommended!
Just waited for 40 minutes for a tank refill. The manager told me to wait near the propane tank. Watch customers come and go, asked another employee for help and he wasn’t certified to fill tanks. After 40 minutes I left and told the uncertified guy this is ridicules and he told me “there ain’t nothing he can do” for me. No sorry just that.
There storage is not only expensive but if you try to move out one day late you have to pay the entire months bill. That is ridiculous. I could understand if you were a week or more but one day...I guess they have to make money. As for me,. Ill never do business with them again.
I made a reservation planning to pick up the truck at one place and drop it at another locally to save on mileage. I am aloud to do this but it turns out that is a one way trip and costs more. The gentleman at the counter saw this and corrected it saving me $150.00. The service was equally pleasant on my return. Great shop for me to go to, guessing there is someone dragging the scores down.
I bought the U-Haul Moving Box Combo Pack of 10 S + 10 M + 5 L Boxes here. Good customer service. Professional and patient. I know where I will return when we need additional moving boxes.
Pick up was scheduled for 9 for a 4 hour rental..Did not leave parking lot until 9.30..So the rental was really for 3.5 hours..Three of the employees did not wear masks and a sign says you need to wear a mask if entering store..as I was waiting another customer decided he did not need to wear one..sign apparently did not apply to him..Returned vehicle and employee at drop of was not wearing mask..
After hours pickup was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Filled out all the info then “awaited approval” for an hour until the store opened up.
We needed a 17 moving truck last minute due to a bad experience with a local moving company and this U-Haul location saved us! I arrived at the store 7:15 am on Saturday morning asking for a truck. Initially it appeared there was nothing available. After a few questions from Jason and Todd they discovered that they did in fact have a van for me to rent for the few hours we needed it. Jason and Todd were incredibly helpful and friendly and I cant say how grateful we are to them. Such a great experience, very quick service, they had us in and out in minutes. Definitely recommend this location. Thank you again Jason and Todd :)
I get my propane tank filled here about once every other week. Service is always prompt, price for a tank refill/top-off is the best I can find, and the staff is always pleasant. Keep up the good work.
Overcharged me the first time when I had a night drop off. Manager also left a voicemail stating that nothing would be resolved. If I could post it I would. Second time was ok, guy actually walked there truck after I dropped it off and was more professional. My advice, take pictures of odometer, gas fuel before and after or they will screw you.
Paid, & scheduled a hitch and wireing install on line for Uhaul E Ridge Irondequoit NY. Went to my appt (which I had to wait 2 weeks for),and was told they havent had a install mechanic since the Covid pandemic, and my parts werent even sent to them.
I THOUGHT THIS PLACE WAS GREAT. UNTIL I WENT TO MOVE SOMETHINGS OUT OF STORAGE. THERE WERE MICE POOP ON MY THINGS AND THERE WERE DEAD AND LIVE ROACHES ALL OVER THE PLACE., I HAD TO BOMB THE TRUCK WITH MY THINGS IN IT., IM SO UPSET !!!!!!! NOW I HAVE TO WORRY IF MY THINGS HAVE BED BUGS IN IT BEYOND PIST. THIS IS THE U-HAUL IN IRONDQUIOT EAST RIDGE ROAD
Worst experience with the haul company I have ever had! They told me my vehicle wasn’t big enough to tow something that was half of my towing capcity. Idk what this company has turned into but I’m happy that I don’t have to live the life those employees have to live now!!!!

Reserve before you go. Arrive early if you are near the end of the month. Folks working there do a pretty good job considering how stressful moving is and how many folks are stressed when they go in to pick up a van.
Poor service. Had a really bad experience I dont care to write about. The prices are fine and the truck was fine just poor customer experience. And also, they tell you to make sure EVERY mark on the truck has a sticker or you might get charged for it when you come back. Really??
Non-existent Customer Service. After months of successfully billing my credit card for the monthly storage unit rental, U-Haul decided to bill a cancelled card, send me a late notice and charge me a $15 late fee. I spent a total of 2 hours over 2 days on the phone with U-Haul customer service explaining my situation to multiple people and waiting while they ineptly tried to solve THEIR accounting problem. I was finally connected with Bill Wentz, who is apparently someone in authority at the Irondequoit location. He informed me that they would credit my account for the $15 late fee. His customer service skills were sorely lacking. I asked for a free month of storage to compensate me for the 2 hours I had invested in being run around by U-Haul customer service while they sorted out their accounting problems. Mr Wentz told me he wasnt going to do anything and hung up on me.This is the second issue Ive had with this location. The first time they called and told me that someone had cancelled the storage unit and they wanted me to get my stuff out of the unit. No one ever cancelled the unit; they mistakenly applied someone elses cancellation request to my unit. Another hour invested helping U-Haul sort out their broken business process and enduring their non-existent customer service.We live out of town and plan to remove our items from the Irondequoit U-Haul unit as soon as we can. I wont pay someone to be rude to me on the phone or who cant keep their books straight. I urge you to consider ANY other storage location for your storage needs. The Irondequoit store should be at the bottom on your list.
Horrible experience. GO TO ENTERPRISE OR BUDGET! This exact U-Haul location tried to charge me twice for the same day of rental. When I callenged that, they removed the second charge but then tried saying that I had scuffed the rear bumper and charged my card for a second time, roughly the same amount as a second day of rental would be. When I challenged the scuff mark, I was confronted by the manager who told me that I did not have any proof that I DIDNT mark the bumper. In fact, I DO have proof that I did not do the damage. Its the rear camera on the van, which records constantly, and apparently is only admissable as proof if its being used against me, as I was refused access to the recording. Now, the only way to get my money back is to go through it legally, which is going to cost me hundreds more. Cone to find out, they arw bullying me like this because I did not spend the couple dollars on the insurance because I knew I would not need it as the only place I would be using it was in wide open areas where collisions would be extremely unlikely. I wonder how many peopke were charged for that same scuff mark or if I was only the second person they scammed out of money for it.
Sunday afternoon 2 employees only. Maybe that would be ok if no costumers were there, but they had a line pretty much out the door. Took roughly 40 minutes to return a van. The observation was not only the location understaffed but the methods used to rent/return was inefficient. Find another location to rent from.
Absolutely horrible!! Rented a truck for one day. when I picked it up it was close to the end of the day. the guy threw the keys at me and said here ya go...all set cause the truck had just gotten returned. He did not take me around the truck to show me anything about it or anything. I did not get the extra coverage cause theres nothing to hit where I was moving from and to and Im a safe reliable driver. Wouldnt ya know it.....when I returned the truck....a HUGE scrape all down the very top of the whole length of the truck! Guess who got charged with that! Not the guy before me....or the uhaul employee who didnt record it. ME. That little fat gay guy who works there had the worst customer service Ive ever seen and I will never rent from this company ever again. I also sent in my review to their corporate operations and never heard a word back. Never rent from these people!!!!! Beware!!
This was truly the worst experience we have ever encountered as a consumer! On Feb. 27th we rented a van to move our daughter. As it began to snow, we were unable to drive the van. It would spin and my husband could not make it up the hills to return the van. After numerous attempts, we pulled into a parking lot and tried calling the office. We were put on hold for over 2 hours. I tried calling on my phone, and numerous times were were disconnected or left on hold. The Ridge Road store never even answered the phone. We kept getting transferred to corporate, but no one would answer. At a loss, we called our daughter who came out in the storm to get us and she drove us to the Ridge Road office so we could return the key and tell them we had to abandon the van, since it wouldnt drive in the snow and we couldnt get a hold of anyone. We were charged an abandonment fee even though the van was undriveable and no one would even return our call. We have called corporate numerous times and were told the manager would call us. He never did. When I called today, they finally put me through to the manager, William Wentz, who was nothing short of rude and hung up on me. Shame on you, UHaul, for abandoning your customers during a storm, and charging them a fee for not being able to get back to the store with the van. Your van was unsafe and had you answered the phone, you would have been able to guide us as to what to do. Your manage is rude and unhelpful. Look at all of the reviews for this store. Review after review talks about the horrible experiences people have had here. Do the right thing UHaul!
Absolutely toxic and unethical sales culture at the UHaul branch 1875 E Ridge RdIrondequoit, NY 14622I had purchased a one way trailer rental to this branch. Upon arriving, I decided to take advantage of the free 30 day storage option at the branch.The rep told me that Im required to buy a high security lock or I cannot use a UHaul storage unit.I played along because I had just finished a 7 hour drive but the kid was clearly lying. He couldnt even keep his face straight saying it.Is a $8 margin item really worth losing any customer for the rest of their lives? I certainly will never pay to use any services through UHaul again and will be directing our relocating employees to other services.As someone that manages a sales team of 60-100; this is a symptom of a toxic management culture at this branch where pure laziness and compromised integrity and ethics wins over selling the right way.Zero attempt was made to sell me anything the right way, asking questions and creating a solutions based sale. If this was occurring at a business I was running, Id simply be embarrassed to put my name on it.
TWICE... not once, but TWICE (in one day), I had confirmation to pick up a truck at this location, to be returned 24 hours later... only to be told there was no truck for me. Incompetent staff. Extremely slow moving service. Waited 45 minutes to receive my “reservation”. When returning the rental the personnel that checks the vehicles in was too busy to even bother. Fire her!

Do not book Bright Side Movers with Uhaul. They are the most disrespectful movers I have ever seen. They lie and ruined several pieces of furniture and walls and then tried to blame it on the customer. Very crooked people. Very crooked. U haul should not associate with these people as its bad for their reputation.
Showed up for my reservation and they did not have any uhauls. Same happened to 3 other peoplw infront of me. Their solution was to move another day. The staff isnt very helpful and they will not reassign a uhaul that is on the lot if there is a reservation later that day even though you are there and your uhaul truck is not.
I just left this Uhaul after calling first for a trailer wiring harness that I was told would be available ( they wanted me to pay with a credit card over the phone to make sure they will hold the part for me). They told me that they never had the part after driving there. If I could give them less than one star I would
My mother went to the Boost Mobile location where indicated on our reservation. Locked. Pawn shop next door. Locked. She drove to this location and was treated VERY rudely. Did you check the pawn shop? was the answer. Seriously? She shouldnt have to chase down your staff. Guy says someone was there...then she overhears him telling someone Get someone over there. My mom repeatedly stated she was not mad at him but mad at Uhaul. The guy worked for half an hour on his computer in silence, not once apologizing or updating her on what hes doing. She gets upset and he says You know what? Im not helping you maam! My mom had a deadline to get to her house where the movers were there for only 2 hours to help. She kept being told to swipe her card, not being told she was swiping for a bigger truck, which she didnt need. She finally got free mileage out of them, bu only after asking. Unbelievably unprofessional. I will be using Budget in the future.
The guys at this location were curtioious and I will go back to them if I have to deal with Uhaul, however Uhaul as a company is a joke. When their website indicates you can pick up a rental from one location and they decide to change the location without notifying you to well over an hour away it is not acceptable.

I have rented trailers here more than 10 times and have always had good service, and an overall good experience with the rentals. Would recommend them and will use them again.
