Great service & follow up. They took the time to answer all my questions. Not made to feel I was using up their time. No pressure sale. Also I have a blind husband. The manger as well as other sales people keep him company, talk about all kinds of guy stuff. I feel they went beyond, since the sale was final .My sale person was teaching me about the car in the sale lot. My husband was in sale building.Thats just a small sign of the integrity they have in the sales office and in the salespersons.

The car was sitting for a whole year, so I just needed to have a general check to make sure everything works properly. They didn’t show me the details of the cost and I have to sign the agreement to have a general test on the car. I know the battery need to be changed but I believe ABC three charges on the top count for the same thing or at least overlapping a lot.

Yuchen was so great to work with. He was nothing but helpful and kind to me and my parents. We’ve been to several car dealerships over the past few months and carousel has been the best. Highly recommend doing business with these people. 10/10

I have SMART car - which according to Mercedes-Benz official website is supported and serviced by Mercedes-Benz (many of the parts are actually MBs). It was great to be hung up on, twice, and then in-person referred to another dealer - who told me the same thing. Useless.Maybe contact MB to clear this up, since clearly you arent willing to help.

Terrible service department. Took car (drove it in) for a check engine light and ended up with a knocking motor. Requested estimates multiple times to fix issues with no response. Ended up having to tow it home. Will never to business with them again.

Easy to work with. Very cordial and knowledgeable. Paperwork was organized and well explained. I would go to there lot again when looking to buy another used vehicle.

My family has been a client of Carousel for almost a decade. Recently, I took my car here for a regular maintenance and the car got damaged during it. Things like this are not nice, but they happen, and what is important is how organizations deal with such situations. Carousel Motors handled it very well, not taking too long to figure things out, admit and accept that the damage, while unintentional, was done (a part of a car body was damaged - a cosmetic issue), and offered me either a monetary compensation (which was my choice - got the check in mail very fast) or fixing the damage. I think it is moments as such when you learn the true quality of a dealership. People who dealt with the situation and helped me deserve a lot of respect, specifically Tyler from VW department here in Iowa City. Big respect and thank you!

Worked with Ryan Wyant of Carousel Mercedes/Audi to purchase our 2021 MB GLS. He was upfront regarding the current vehicle shortage, thoroughly explaining all of our options. In the end he was able to get us in the type of vehicle we preferred (last one in town) and was reasonable in the negotiations. There was also no hard-sell in finance afterwards (took less than 10 minutes). That experience plus our earlier positive experience with Craig in the MB service department has all of us being big fans!

We purchased a 2016 Cadillac Escalade from Carousel Motors and our sales associate was Javaka Thompson and he was OUTSTANDING. My friend purchased a 2019 Jetta GLI from them, only to have the clutch go out after 300 miles. Despite the VW trained service tech and service advisors testimony that this had to be a preexisting issue, they made no effort to fix the situation. Every interaction I witnessed with Carousel was abrasive. Chris Hester (Used Car Manager) was more interested in belittling the customers automotive knowledge and bullying him off the phone. The case was escalated to Tor Nicklaus (GM), who called my friend and made it seem as though the issue would be resolved. 3 weeks and multiple unreturned phone calls later, he said “the clutch is on you at this point”.

Ryan helped me get my Tahoe and it was an online purchase. He was very patient with me and was willing to answer all my questions. Almost immediately I felt like I could trust him to help me get the best deal. Very easy process for an online purchase once it was all said and done.

I have an Audi and take it there for service work and always love looking at the cars. They have a very clean waiting room and our professional like every other Audi dealership, but at the end of the day, theyre there to make money so make sure that you dont just take the recommendations at face value. I was told to get new tires because they were going to be any day and it turns out they lasted for another year, so I get it, we all have to make money at the end of the day but I think virtue Trumps business for me.

I worked with Thomas Brantley who was really great. I would say do your homework and look at specific cars ahead of your visit. The car I ended up purchasing was listed at a fair price, but I needed to get the price down a little more. They have a no-haggle fair price approach, but if your offer is reasonable I think they will work with you. Overall very good experience and Sharif in the financing dept was great and explained all the options for gap insurance, extended warranties, etc.

Two words summarize my experience; Not Trustworthy .I had to STOP and remind the Finance representative and the sales associate 3 TIMES about our agreed upon price and payment for the car. If not, I would have signed paper work paying more. After my experience, I feel like I can not trust the company. First moment of truth is everything.Situation:We had aligned on the price for the car (monthly payment, months for the loan etc). They said Yes, you have a deal. We will take it. Keep in mind we had already signed a blank piece of paper, which we used for the negotiations, stating the agreed upon price. Then a Finance Associate comes out and asks to fill out a questionnaire so they can give me pricing options. I had to be rude and clarify to him, that there are no options! We have made a deal, take it or I walk out. He looked shocked, but obviously had no idea what to say.Then I sat down with the Finance manager to sign the paper work for my loan and the car. He then told me I would be paying HIGHER PRICE than what we agreed on. At this point, I felt completely disrespected. I reminded him again, that I am not here to play a game and We stick to our agreement because this is wasting my time. At this point he was disengaged and wanted to get the situation over with. Throughout this situation, I felt like I had to be aggressive so I am not taking advantage of. The whole interaction with everyone including when they say let me go talk to my Manager, wish me luck felt weird and I know it in my gut. They also multiple background checks than are needed, which can negatively effect the credit score.On a positive not, the Service guys for VW are good.

I had an amazing experience with carousel Motors this week. I had been looking for a new (to me) Audi for over a week. They had the exact options in a very well maintained A6. Even though I live in Ohio, they made it a very easy transaction!Tyler in sales, picked me up from my hotel in the morning. He walked me through all the features of the car while test driving. While doing so, finance was working on paperwork and warranty options. When we got back, it was a very smooth time with finance. They got me a great rate, smooth negotiation and even smoothing doc signing. They even handle all of the out of state title work!!!Do not hesitate to buy from them and be sure to ask for Tyler!! Very quick to respond and even face-timed with me to show me the car.

Fell short. Thomas Was a great salesman. But comes to haggling there is no room to budging, claiming they were only going to make $350.Also, as 1 person mentioned, in the purchase agreement, we too encountered the whats the over 1 G extra.for?So we headed north to Junge and got it for over 2 G less + extras.

Very good and friendly put us in a nice 16 highlander BUT be aware the finance people will Trick you into paying things you denied....we denied warranty but somehow still got charged for it and we had 6k down that never changed the price either...read everything don’t believe when they say ok sign here if you don’t want this.....we trusted them and they use that to make us sign things we denied

Just...WOW! Mercedes Des Moines left my car 1 1/2 quarts low on oil. I was starting on a trip and oil light came on just before Iowa City. I stopped in and Carousel service got my car in immediately, checked oil, checked for leaks and put in the missing 1 1/2 quarts of oil...AND DID ALL THIS AT NO CHARGE! Got my wife and I on our way in about 20 minutes! I know where Ill buy my next Mercedes! Thank you!

I purchased a Jetta Gli 2019 from Carousel Motors in Iowa City, and after 300 miles, the car had to be towed to a VW dealership after it stopped going into gear in a busy intersection. The dealership determined the clutch had failed. Carousel Motors blamed me for user error. The VW dealership I took the car to; told me that it was not due to user error and that in the time I had owned the Jetta GLI 2019 it was not possible to have done that damage. I spoke to Chris Hester (Used Car Manager) who kept placing the blame on me, and due to my race, he felt he could belittle and push all fault on me. The case escalated in VW when I called their customer service, and then all calls stopped coming. Finally, no one informed me till weeks later that the case was declined. Service was both poor from VW and Carousel Motors. I would not recommend purchasing a car from them.

We are from out of town and was stuck with our car broken down. Took it to the dealership for warranty maintenance and decided to see what they had if we needed to upgrade. Vaseal Carter stayed with us the whole time making sure we were taken care of, questions answered, and worked with us to get where we needed for a trade. My 2014 Mazda CX-5 needed an oil change and had hit its 20K mark. Prior to taking it to Carousel the estimate was $108. This car spends winters in the garage and driven only on the weekends. They called me to recommend new tires (though the treads were fine), multiple filters, etc., bringing the new total to $1100. I agreed to the cabin filter reluctantly, because they try to sell me on this every time. I feel taken advantage of whenever I get service there. I will not be returning.

We worked with Allison Barnes, she was great! She went above and beyond for us, and we needed that, we needed to trust our sales person because we were traveling 210 miles to buy a used car. She was HONEST which is HUGE. I can highly recommend her. PLUS she served our country. I love when I can help those who have served. Love my BMW too!

We just took delivery of a 2016 Audi A3 Cabriolet and cant say enough about how positive of an experience it was. We spent several weeks landing on a final decision and Rick in sales was fantastic. Very generous with his time, and never once did we feel even a hint of high pressure to make a decision. Harvey in finance was also equally as helpful and professional when it came time to do the deal - and again - never once did we feel pressured or pushed into anything.What struck us was how each person we came in contact with at Carousel seemed to genuinely care, they were passionate about the product and offered sound advice on how best to structure the purchase. They left the impression that they were clearly looking out for us and not themselves.We had a trade in and what they gave us for it was very fair and in no way low-balled us. Price of the new vehicle was extremely competitive. This was, without question, the best car buying experience we have ever had. It was how its supposed to be. Absolute top notch, friendly, honest and professional from beginning to end.If youre in the market for a new or used car, do yourself a favor and check them out. Not in Iowa city? I was very reluctant to by a new car and feel the pressure from a sales person, but I had to test drive the car I was interested in, so made the choice to take a trip to Carousel Motors. Jack Arendt greeted my wife and I and showed us the car we were interested in - no pressure, just handed us the keys and said take it for a ride. After returning and deciding on a different choice, he said give a day or 2 and Ill see what I can i find. The next day he called and offered the best deal I had seen anywhere on the internet. Everyone here has an attitude towards customers here except for the sales man. This happens especially in the service department ( the mechanics are good but the front desk are arrogant ) Furthermore, the sales manager looks like you own them money. No one seems to be enthusiastic about their jobs except for the sales people. You can feel their attitude when you go for the service. So does the part department it’s just the atmosphere you can tell. I am not sure if the owner is aware of it, I hope they can be more enthusiastic about their work and pay attention to the customers. This place is too conservative except for the amount they charge ( this is Iowa city ( Hawkeye town) ! Thumbs up if you have been there and noticed their attitudes !

She was great and I strongly recommend her to anyone looking to work with a down to earth salesperson and someone who really wants you to be happy with your decision at the end of the day. She followed up with me several times and personally made sure my car was in tip-top shape for when I drove off the lot.

Prompt service done according to the book. Rates are also straight from the book, not outrageous not cheap. Service writers are always friendly and know where of they speak. Salesmen at the dealership tend to be fairly honest and it helps they sell quality vehicles here but never forget their job is to make money from you because they wont forget that fact.They respond to complaints and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.If you are needing dealership work or shopping for a vehicle you ought to give them a chance.
