We like the car a lot. We are still having difficulty understanding the features and the operation of the various controls. Better explanation of the operation of the car and its features would have been helpful. We are slowly figuring out the features but it has been hit and miss.

Incredible service!! The staff here are great at over-estimating prices and wait times so youre always pleased with the outcome. The waiting area is comfy and has a coffee machine which is always a plus! They dont talk down to customers or make you feel uneducated when it comes to your vehicle. They do their best to give you the most affordable options for your budget. I feel very comfortable here!

I had a great experience at Billion Auto - Hyundai. I arrived at the maintenance entrance & was greeted right away by Bill Scharf. He had a shuttle take me where I needed to go while I waited for my car. A short while later Bill sent me a video of my car addressing the problems that needed to be fixed. About an hour later the shuttle was back on its way to pick me up & my car was ready. Fast, Easy, & Comfortable!!

Its thoughtful to think for the customers welfare. When I arrive there we are warmly greeted by the sales agent who helped me get my Santa Fe and by everyone else. As I parked my car, I handed the key and was told the expected time the service will be completed. My family went to have some lunch and after a while I got an SMS message saying that I can now pick up the car. Smooth and easy!

The recall testing on my vehicle identified to have defective piston rings that will cause a host of engine failures by this dealership was not explained in any detail. It was a round them up, move them out, raw-hide customer experience with no explanation as to what is to comes next...

Wow!Im a first-time car buyer, got a salvage Hyundai Elantra cheap from a smaller dealership and wanted to bring it in to the experts to get it checked out. My experience with car dealerships hasnt been the most pleasant, and I didnt expect that to change much here - but I was wrong!The waiting area was well-lit, clean, and very nice overall. Easy-access wifi allowed me to do some work while I waited. After about 30 mins, Bill (the best car service man in the state) came out and told me what needed to be done with the car. I greatly appreciated his knowledge and honesty, and the respect he showed me as a young guy was unique.As long as Im around Iowa City, you can bet Ill be back here for any service needs. Amazing what happens when businesses are honest, timely, and hire great people like Bill to give people a reason to write positive reviews! Well done, Billion Auto, and if Bill isnt the highest paid serviceman in the county, make sure that changes!

Billion was absolutely incredible. We arrived looking for an Elantra after being given the runaround from another dealer in the area and were blown away by their honesty, speed, and customer service. While many salesmen have a reputation for being pushy with add-ons you don’t want/need, being misleading or obtuse with the price of the vehicle until it’s time to finance, or belittling your concerns, Nick was the opposite. Nick did a great job presenting us with multiple options for packages and financing and, after working with the (equally awesome) financing department, was able to give us a FAR better deal than the other dealer was giving us for the same car that fit within our budget (and with an add-on that we are excited to have). We loved our experience, are thrilled with our vehicle, and if we’re nearby when we need a new car in the future Billion is going to be our first stop.My Dad likes to say that after leaving a car dealership you feel like you “have to take a shower.” That was true at the other dealership. That was not true at Billion.

I had a great experience. I was able to everything over the phone, they got me everything I asked for and very close to my monthly payment I wanted. They would have done everything virtually and driven the SUV down to me but I used one of their lenders since it was lower than the local banks. Michael Salazar was awesome to work with and went above and beyond to make sure I got the best deal. I would recommend working with him. I was also impressed when I pulled up to get the SUV. They came to the door and opened it for us. Also, they were all wearing masks, which was greatly appreciated. The other dealerships I have been to have not.

Look. I have some VERY serious reservations about Hyundai in general for many reasons having to do with the companys treatment of a known mechanical issue that was actually recalled in several vehicles but for which my vehicle was excluded despite having the same faulty motor.That said, I actually LOVE the service Ive gotten in the Billion Hyundai IA City service department (truly exceptional), and I was pleased with my car-buying experience. The dealer and salesman were fair, I was able to drive away in a working and pretty cute new car, and the financing was attended to very well, and very thoroughly.Chris Fulk is a genuine guy without an ounce of that car-salesman creepiness. He was patient with an intense and out-of-the-ordinary situation (and an admittedly impatient and hesitant customer...), and he was very helpful and responsive.The gentleman who helped me with the paperwork and financing, Mike, I think, was also very easy-going and fun to interact with, and very thorough.Nick did a great job with vehicle delivery and explained things well, ensuring that I felt comfortable with the bells and whistles before I drove off the lot.Overall, if you have to or want to go Hyundai and you can use Billion, do. Ive had nothing but good and above-and-beyond experiences there, and they deserve the business.I still stand by my hesitation with Hyundai in general though... in case youre wondering.

First off, Bill in the service department is phenomenal and Michael in the sales department was nice. As far as anyone else, not only were they not willing to work out a good deal with a returning customer but after they reached out to me and I informed them that I had purchased from another dealer, I got a very rude text message from one of the salesmen. Thats not professional at all and it further confirms my choice to go with another dealership. I thought I would continue to purchase cars from Billion but now I wouldnt recommend them to family or friends.

I drive 70 miles to do business at this Hyundai Service Center. (The few times Ive ever needed full service or repair on my 2013). They get it right the first time. Bill and the Service Team are very helpful, efficient, no pressure, and professional. My questions are fully answered and explanations are thorough. Service techs make every effort to the best job. Customer wait area is comfortable and relaxing. If youre rural like me and need to decide which direction to go, avoid Des Moines Hyundai at all costs- hands down worst customer service ever experienced, anywhere. Billion Hyundai in Iowa City is top notch and I will not take my car anywhere else.

Our Hyundai broke down and had to be towed from Montezuma to the nearest Hyundai Dealer. We ended up at Billion Hyundai of Iowa City at 4:45 (they close at 5:30). They took us right in and ran a test on our vehicle and soon had the problem fixed around 6:00 pm. YES - they stayed after hours to get us back on the road! We cannot express how glad we are that we ended up at Billion Auto in Iowa City! 5 stars is not enough! Thank you to the awesome people that work there!!

We had stop at two other Billion dealership and had explained what type of car we were looking for and they kept trying to get us to purchase a different vehicle outside of what we were searching for. Then at a half hour to closing time we came over to Billion Hyundai said what we were looking for the gentlemen that had grabbed a license plate and took us thru the lot. He took us right to a car we were looking for and in our price range. Took it for a test drive and loved it said we want to purchase the vehicle and by that time it was closing time. Sales writer and the gentlemen helping us had no problem staying late. We found an agreement on financing rates. They wasted no time on getting paperwork ready to sign and signing was just as quick it seemed. Billion Hyundai in my opinion was not pushy to get us to look at vehicles out of our price range and they were very friendly. Highly recommend this dealership.

Nothing turns me off more than a pushy salesman and I have walked out in the past from dealers that I felt were only interested in making a sale. I did not feel that way at Billion Hyundai in Iowa City. The staff were patient, knowledgeable, and gave me time to process what I did and did not want. I have a few issues Id like to mention:1. I called to inquire about the warranty on the vehicle that I had purchased a few years before and the customer service representative basically treated me like an idiot for asking a valid question.2. Then I looked in the trunk of my car and found it wasnt equipped with a spare tire (who doesnt give someone a standard safety feature like this??? Apparently if youre abandoned on the side of the road you can just hope you have a phone with you. Didnt realize this was something I had to look for when buying a car)--more of a manufacturer issue, I understand that, but still. Sales people should mention it.3. When I bought the car I bought a warranty for the exterior of my vehicle. I was told it was for car door dings or scrapes. I was also offered interior warranty for the fabric, which I declined. I worked at the mall at the time and the door ding protection sounded great! So I signed. Now I come to find out they misrepresented the warranty, its just if the paint loses its shine. (Who would buy that, honestly.) I was charged for both warranties and was lied to about what the first actually covers. I was told door dents and its now not covered. Now the deal the guy offered today is to fix one of the dings for $100, which sounds like a pretty terrible deal when I paid so much for a worthless warranty. The original salesmen should be ashamed for lying to get an extra sale and adding something I declined. I know part of it is on me for not reading the fine print but companies should be honest. Shame on you, Billion. Im never coming to you again, not even if its a better deal. Your true colors show in these interactions. I wont be surprised if in a year I find another issue with how you sold me this car. Shame.

He showed patience and kindness making sure the customer understood what would be done and if he could accommodate his additional request, even as busy as they were. This is the second new Hyundai in a row I have purchased from Billion and had another great experince. From my sales professional Jeremy Furniss and the general manager Mike Ney, the process was easy and straightforward. No high pressure sales tactics or trying to upsell you on a bunch of things you dont need on a new vehicle. They were also very friendly and pleasant to work with. I would not recommend this company at all. I contacted them in regards to one car I was interested and set up an appointment to see it the following day. Around 2:00 pm on the day of the appointment (which the appointment was at 4 pm) I looked on the website to see the car again and it was not on there. I then emailed the sales person I was set to meet to see if this car was still available, waited an hour and no response. 3 pm roles around and I email yet again asking and finally get a response stating that it wasn’t. This is very poor customer service. 1) I had to reach out to see if it was available which means they would have let me drive 45 minutes and show up to an appointment to see ONE car and it not be there. 2) they said it is 1st come, 1st served—which I understand, however, had that been said I would have gone at 8 am right away. 3) if you have an appointment to see ONE car they should either hold it or inform you that they can’t—especially when coming out of town. 4) I contacted a manager to discuss this and they stated the sales person worked at the other store in Iowa city and would have that manager call me in a few minutes— which never happened. They say they value customer service, yet all of this leads me to believe they don’t.

Service Center = 5 Stars; consistently fast, friendly.Sales = 2.5 Stars; limited selection, unmotivated salesman, and contentious manager. We were offered a great deal on our trade by a competing Hyundai dealer and thought wed give Billion a chance to beat it since theyre local. They offered $2,500 LESS for our trade. I told the manager if they can meet the competitions offer, were sold and done shopping but he said no. No loss for us, but it seems his bad attitude got in the way of a sale.

Great service. Everyone was very professional and laid back. Didnt have a spark plug in stock, so I thought about 4 stars because, cmon.. Its a spark plug. However, they pulled some strings, got me a nice loaner out for the night, and I was back in my vehicle the next day. Would go again.

It was easy to setup my appointment to get work done on my 2014 Sonata. They were very friendly on the phone when I called, and while they made a suggestion on an additional repair, they were not pushy. When my wife was in the office, their goodies were all out while she was waiting for the shuttle. My car had some other obvious repairs needed (Example: large crack in my windshield) and they did not quote that repair/suggest getting it fixed at all. They did quote some other repairs (replace AC, $330+) but clarified that it wasnt an immediate dangerous issue. They were flexible with my wife on her schedule of dropping off my car and picking it up. They were friendly when speaking with her and getting her on her way when the car was done.Our last visit there was a lot more rushed, and they were less helpful with the repairs needed/completed. Vastly improved for this visit.Ill likely continue taking our vehicles their for work to be done.

I can go get my oil changed, if they notice something they let me know so I can budget for it. The Nero has been a fantastic car, a little hard on my ego but its not a minivan 😀 Hoping Ill have the budget to trade it in on a Stinger someday.

After my engine blew up my car was towed here. They were all very helpful and diagnosed the problem within minutes. They helped get me a rental car and loaded my things into their shuttle. The driver even stayed at Enterprise rental to help load up my things into the rental car.They put in a new engine and when the work was completed, they put my car on a transport truck and delivered it to California. I was kept informed about my car during the 3 weeks it was gone. Billion Hyundai made a bad situation as least stressful as possible.I would highly recommend their company.Cant say enough positive about how Billion and Hyundai stood behind this recall issue.I am grateful to have my car back.Joy

I highly recommend Billion Auto Hyundai, they have the nicest staff you could ask for. My new SUV was having issues which I purchased from another Hyundai dealership who was not kind (I wish I had purchased it from Billion Auto Hyundai). Zach is super kind and helpful. I brought my car in to have a few recalls taken care of. Time was a factor for me, so Zach gave me a great loaner car to use while they remedied the recalls. When I returned to pick up my car, it washed and ready as promised!

Friendly, transparent regular Hyundai maintenance. Ive taken a 2004 Accent in for its oil changes and checkups a couple times a year (2010–2012), and always felt the service folks were being honest and straightforward with me. They explained the logic behind each of their repair suggestions, which have been few, and never once pressured me to make a costly repair. While their prices are high ($50 for an oil change and a new tail light, say) the have never done more harm to the car than good, which is more than I can say for any other maintenance team I have worked with.

Routine service,oil changes etc. has been great. Prompt, and good explanations of bill and recommended service. Today unprompted found a bad ball joint, which I had heard on the way in, so we agreed! Previous warranty work on another issue was great. Service sdvisor had been great on all visits and their lead TECH was great on explanation on previous visit. First dealer service in 50 years of cars I have rated beyond adequate.
