Rob, a Service Adviser, advised me that he had fixed the reason why my vehicle kept stalling. However, after I paid, and went to pick up my car, it’s still stalling and I didn’t even leave the car lot. Now, I’m out $500 and they want me to bring it back because now they believe its a different reason why it’s stalling. What did I just pay you $500 for?!? Billion will never see another penny from me.

Absolutely pathetic that promises weren’t kept.You make an appointment for a specific time then you arrive for what should be no more than a 20min oil change now it’s 1.5hrs later…Showed a GM coupon to the service advisor & it wasn’t honored.I will never ever come back EVER for any of my vehicles or service EVER AGAIN!

I had car trouble with my 2020 Equinox on my way to Iowa City on Friday to visit my boyfriend who has cancer. The service person, Alec, gave me his cell phone number so I could call him on Saturday morning (his day off) so he could make arrangements for me to be picked up at my hotel so I could get a loaner since I would arrive after closing on Friday. The service department didnt know how soon they would be able to look at my car but I received a call on Saturday afternoon that it was fixed. Since I was visiting my boyfriend at the hospital which hours are limited, I was able to keep the loaner until Monday morning. I have told several of my friends that I received premier service during a very stressful time. I was very grateful.

We purchased a vehicle from this dealership in April 2021. We are from out of state and requested tax title and registration be done through our home state. We were assured this was something that they could do. They had not done as they said. We left several voicemails with no response and my husband wrote a review on Google. Billion then responded to that review acknowledging the error and asked him to contact the dealership. He did as requested and waited about a week or two before they responded to his voicemail. Once they finally contacted him they denied being able to do out-of-state tax title and registration. Then finally stated that they could do it but would only attempt to pay the amount as close as possible which didnt even happen in our case. After some more back and forth my husband was told that they would be reaching out to him for further resolution. 2 weeks went by we attempted to call to them again as we hadnt heard anything left a voicemail again and here its been another 2 to 3 weeks with no response. This is disappointing and I will discourage anyone from buying from this dealership in the future. It is very evident by our dealings with Billion that once the sale is made they have zero in interest in their customer and the customer experience.

When looking for a vehicle I started with Billion because I heard they have a large selection. When I found a vehicle on the website that checked all my boxes, I messaged and asked which Billion location the vehicle was at (because they do not show you the location on the website and they are 3 states wide)-they told me it was in Iowa City, Iowa-which was the closest location to me-an hour away. I set up a time to go view this, and when I showed up they told me this vehicle was in South Dakota. I was upset. They showed me other vehicles of course, but none were what I was looking for. They basically told me if I wanted that one I had to buy sight unseen. After about a week of hesitation they contacted me about the vehicle and I decided I wanted this one. They said they would waive the $500 delivery fee to get it from the S. Dakota location to the Iowa City location, which did not happen. Then I never received the title. When my temporary registration was about a week from expiration I called the South Dakota location multiple times and left multiple messages and no one called me back. I was finally lucky enough to get a live person with my repeated calling, who said they sent the title back to the previous owner and needed to apply for a replacement title-thanks for that communication! So when I finally did get the title there were penalty fees that they are going to reimburse me for. Still waiting on that but not holding my breath. In short-only buy a vehicle that is at the location near you and I guess ask them not to lie to you that the vehicle is indeed at your nearest location? They need to change the website to search vehicles by location. I am left with a bad taste as I had multiple negative issues with this purchase.

Well not happy with the service. We had an appointment @ 8:30 am for grease, oil change, filter, & have windshield treated was there around 8:20. Never got vehicle done until 10:45. We understand some places are shorthanded but when you have an appointment it shouldnt take over 2 hrs. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Last time it was about 2 1/2 hrs. We noticed after leaving they forgot to do the window treatment so we then had to go back to have it done. Hope everything else got done. Thank goodness we were still in IC & not in muscatine. Weve had vehicle serviced there since buying it in 2018. We were told next service would be free. Waiting over 2 hrs is uncalled for therefore we may start going somewhere else except to have windshield check.

Truck was serviced for a diesel oil change. Fuel filter gage was not reset indicating either the filter was not replaced or the tech did not reset it. Truck was delivered back dirty - someone had stepped all over the plastic molding on the driver side floor leaving it covered in dirty footprints, there was also dirt left on the driver side door armrest and on the arm rest of the center console. Each time I bring my vehicle in for service it is treated without respect.

You are all so concerned with your 5 star ratings, then please listen to this. You HAVE to bring back scheduling for oil changes. The frustration is real. I live 20 - 25 mins away. I canNOT drive out there to find out there is a 3 hour wait or at 3:45 you are booked for the day when closing is at 5:30. Please show me where on the website it says First come first serve. You also list your service hours of 7:00 - 5:30. I showed up the other day at 7:00 am only to find out a technician doesnt come until 7:30. I was told by 7:20 there were SEVEN people waiting for oil changes. This is a terrible way to do business as well as what you are doing to your staff. All of us are frustrated. The employees there are always so nice and professional. That is one thing I can count on. I hope you take these comments into consideration. No way would I recommend going here to get an oil change. But seriously, thats probably not a deal breaker for your company, but dont forget, it is a service you offer.

We made a deal with Mo at the Iowa City Store. The truck we wanted was from South Dakota. Mo said he could get the truck here. We offered him $5,000.00 on the road with our trade in. The deal was agreed on with my husband and Mo. I went in and talked to Mos boss about the deal because they are not honoring the deal made with Mo. We paid the cash and now we have to pay sales tax, title and license. The excuse is that the south dakota store does not honor the $5,000.00 on the road made with Mo at the Iowa City store. My thought is when you buy a vehicle from Billion Auto make sure you get everything in writing. Also Mos boss said he was going to see what he could do for us, well this was last wednesday and I still waiting.............................................We would not recommend this dealership!!WE CALLED THE 800 # NUMBER THAT WAS SENT ON OUR REVIEW, WAS TOLD HE WOULD SEE WHAT HE COULD DO AND WOULD CALL ME BACK, NO PHONE CALL FROM ANYONE TO HELP RESOLVE OUR CONCERNS. Took my SUV in for an inspection on my last visit told them I wanted them to look at it as if they got it for sale ( “129 point inspection ect”) I knew the major things wrong just wanted to verify... not only did it take an extra hour to look things over they told me I needed all new brakes ( pads & rotors ) about a $1000 deal ( which in fact my brakes were fine “I found out later” ) they didn’t do thee inspection because they didn’t tell me about any of the other problems such as; sun roof major leak, rear wiper didn’t function, heated seat did not function, squeak in the steering wheel, remote start didn’t function, oil pressure sensor faulty...The only true thing they told me was it had timing chain issues which I New already. The whole experience was a waste of timeI think what dealerships need to start doing is put cameras in work stations so customers can actually see what’s happening with their vehicle while being serviced that way people know they are getting what they pay for

Bought a Honda Civic April 1st, April 26th I took it to a mechanic just to confirm nothing was wrong with the car. Come to find out the an outer tire rod was needing replaced. Brought it back to them to see what they could do and they told me I needed to pay out of pocket to repair as I didnt have the warranty. The financial department did not offer me a warranty on the car when it was bought and they didnt even bother to offer me gap insurance with the purchase on the car. I only managed to get the gap because I asked for it myself. When I got the call back to confirm the car did need repaired the maintenance department told me I could still add the warranty to the car to get it repaired. Any previous cars Ive bought through other dealerships they always mentioned gap insurance as well was warranty options during the signing of the financial paperwork. Signing off on the paperwork was the most rushed thing ever and remember thinking to myself it felt shady. I figured this would be a one off but when I went in with my girlfriend a few days later it was the same thing where we again had to remind them we wanted the gap insurance and no warranty or anything was offered with her either. Luckily her car was checked out and is fine. (Both cars are well under 50,000 miles for)

We didnt really know what car we wanted. I told our salesman Guido what we needed, capacity, all wheel drive etc.. and he found the perfect car. And even put us in a brand new car which I thought wasnt possible. A couple weeks before he sold us a 2015 Infinity Qx60 thats in great condition.. Everyone was very helpful and polite. I will recommend and will return for future needs! A+++++

I came in beat up and defeated, being told by Toyota that I had bad credit and all they could get me in was a Corolla, and that my payments would be close to 650. I wanted an SUV so badly. I came in got paired up with Darius and Elijah. They told me hold my head high, my credit was actually good and they got me into a 2021 Equinox (white- the color Ive always wanted) and my payment is 200 less than what Toyota was going to have me paying. For the first time in my life, I didnt need a cosigner, this was the best experience Ive ever had. They took care of me like I was family! I will never go anywhere else again, in the future! Not having to make an appointment for an oil change is great. I like the service department and will continue to bring my vehicle for maint. We are in the market for a vehicle and decided to look as we waited for my vehicle to be serviced. The associate in training was great and helpful, but the senior high sales guy was pushy and the manager after him was ok initially. I dont appreciate being told each moment, it depends on your credit. As a person of color, this was annoying and he was stereotyping. This was not our first rodeo. We mentioned that we wanted to purchase another vehicle and just recently bought one less than a year ago. The atmosphere reminded me of someone trying to sell timeshare. I most likely will not purchase a vehicle from your dealership.

Bad experience after returning my lease vehicle. After i decided not to buy or lease a vehicle I was told I owed money $1200.00. Manager thought that i was dumb, I called GM financial to let them know i was dropping of my vehicle and according to billion management team i needed to write a check for $1200.00. Customer service from GM said i owed nothing and was wondering where billion manager was getting the $1200 he said i owed...funny thing manager all of a sudden said it was mistake .GM financial told me drop the car and get a drop off receipt and don t write a check to these scams because record showed i didnt owe nothing. I can imagine how many people been scammed before assuming they owe billion when returning a lease car.

Had a frustrating experience buying a car from Gio. After agreeing to fix some cosmetic damage as a part of the sale (which he failed to mention over the phone until I saw it in-person), it was one excuse after the other for why I couldnt get the car in. 3 months and 20+ texts and e-mails later, I ended up calling the body shop myself to arrange, and they had no record of my car needing work! Once I worked with them directly, they did a great and timely job, but Gio didnt care after getting the car sold.

I had my Catalytic Converter replaced after it was damaged by a cracked Coil. Both the Coil and Catalytic Converter were covered by warranty which was great! I got an oil change & new wipers. I had some damage to the body clear cost and paint because of a bolt left on the engine apron which then became lodged between the hood & body when hood was closed. Rob was my service manager and was superb! My body work is great. My sincerest thanks to Rob and the team at Buick and Billion Automotive.

Funny how they are very confident in their used cars, but the one i bought a month and a half ago no longer even starts. I have contacted many different people at the store including the sales manager but everyone refuses to help me. days after purchasing the vehicle started developing electrical issues that I informed them of, and it has developed to this state where I have a piece of metal that will not move in my lot. i am extremely disappointed and will have to put more into repairs than what i paid for it. save yourself and do not buy used from this dealership.

I recently purchased a 2020 Silverado Crew Cab LT from Billion GMC/Chevrolet in Iowa City and Alec Christensen who I worked with was very helpful in helping me match my truck needs with my budget. Was getting body damage repaired via my extended warranty. When i returned to pu truck, it was outside in rainstorm making it difficult to view repair. Vehicle was on time as promised, and Zack walked me to the vehicles location - it was in the back parking area, as I requested that so I didnt take a space out front.Take advantage of their car wash - one of the best values in Iowa City! Best car buying experience I have ever had. Great sales man. Ali is the best. I would request him for the rest of my life. He was incredibly patient and was able to check all our boxes for the car we wanted. He was very knowledgeable about every car and we never felt like he was just trying to make “the sale”. Then the finance guy. What a go getter. He was quick and made us a better deal even after we agreed to a different one. Was able to get us a better interest so we could have a longer warranty. Amazing. Honestly, it’s nice to have people like that in your presence, especially in sales. The place is beautiful, clean. Made me feel like I was among real class in character and appearance. I already know where I am going for all my car needs in service and in purchasing. I’ll be back to Billion every time.My only complaint was the lack of masks in the midst of the pandemic even when the sign said “masks required”. However, every employee that spoke with us personally did wear a mask. Except one woman. I thought it was commendable for them to at least respect that we were mask people and each employee put their masks on as they came to the desk we were sitting at.

I had a great experience with Blandon!!! I drove all the way down to IA City to meet with another sales rep that pretty much blew me off. Blandon saw me and immediately offered to help. He was a godsend! We hit it off right away. He is so funny, kind and patient! I went back and forth for about three weeks and he was there with me every step of the way. No other sales rep would have put up with what I put Blandon threw but he stuck with me. He actually treated me like a friend. Thanks to Blandon I have purchased a 2021 Traverse Redline. This place is a complete rip off their inspections are a joke. I bought a Tahoe from them for $35,000.00 I have had the vehicle for a month. I have already had to put in a new battery and have rear brakes installed. All of which should have been caught by their so called inspection. I’m not a mechanic and I can tell when something is about to go bad on a vehicle. I have bought five vehicles from them and this is by far my worst experience I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN.

My husband and I recently went to Billion in Iowa City to look at a used pickup my husband had seen online. The problem began when we were never asked if we had a preference for financial institutions. They wrote it up with Wells Fargo, which would not have been our choice and the rate was a point more than our credit union. So Billion did a credit check and Wells Fargo. If you dont know it already, credit checks make your score going down. Once I noticed we were being charged a whole point more, we refinanced with Green State, which Billion is supposed to use as well. Green State credited our credit again so now we are talking a 22 point drop in credit score! Two weeks after the purchase, the check engine light came on, this is after being told they are put through 172 point check. My husband sat at the dealership for about 4 hours dealing with this not because the problem was huge, but because they spent 2-1/2 hours deciding who was paying for it. The salesperson whod been so nice during the sale, hardly recognized my husband.I have never been a fan of car dealers or the process and this experience did not change my mind at all.Also, not a mask in sight by any of the employees except the lady at the front desk, this during a pandemic!

If you dont have exceptional credit, be prepared to pad the salesman pocket with cash or your stuck. We took them two great running older vehicles and they offered us $1000 for both of them! Thats only $500 each then they tried to sell my elderly mother a truck with a payment close to $800 a month. Then they wanted a 3rd co-signer. I could tell when we walked in that the man had a chip on his shoulder, I didnt care for him from the git go. I want to walk back to the office where he was supposed to be sticking with the financing Department, before I could even get to the opening of the Glassdoor he started asking me if I had 300 400 or $500 to give him. I told him I didnt and he didnt seem too impressed with his facial expressions. He came back about 45 minutes later and basically without saying it in his exact words he basically told us that since we didnt have any money to Pad his pocket with that he wasnt interested in helping getting us the loan. I believe this gentleman is also upper management

Not sure what when wrong on the oil change last Thursday. The truck had a really bad smell of antifreeze for several days and it was dipping on my garage floor and it was dipping in the driveway too. I didnt park it in the garage for several days due to the smell. The second thing was the other smell like the truck was overheating or burning up. That went on for several days too.

Service engine light on and car died twice in traffic. Called and got an appointment. Tech were able to identify the problem and fix it the same day. Intake and exhaust actuator solenoids replaced.

Service is ok. While whatever is going on with my car is usually fixed, they are very slow in response time. I also have to be the one to call in and ask on the status of my car. They are not good at calling me back or keeping me updated as they said they would.

Told the oil change would take 45mins to an hour. It ended up being over 2 hours long. They did not rotate my tires because they don’t know where the jack points on my corvette are. Corvette dealer but didn’t know where the jack points were. I’m glad I didn’t buy the vette from them.

Friendly staff. No double team heavy pressure sales. Laid the numbers out in front of me and were willing to make a deal. Didnt leave feeling screwed. Feel like I got a fair deal. Would recommend working with them.
