Good luck if you ever need your purchase serviced! Called after winter to have a fuel leak checked on Toro snowblower (second I had purchased there). Was told they were not working on snowblowers, just mowers. Called in October, told 8 week wait. Now a customer of City Tractor North Liberty!

A nice short walk around the park and ballfields, trees planted look healthy and growing. Shade coming soon. The Leeds center was excellent and we were surprised how few were using the facility and how especially howinexpensive the costs. Baseball being played at all the fields and others picnicking in the park. Quite beautiful what the community is able to do and maintain. Its always nice to be back and to watch the progress of a great community. I do miss the shuffleboard in the park as my only complaint other than we werent able to stay longer. Clarinda is one in a million. Not sure how this got under Pyramid.

Bought a new John Deere X580 lawn tractor a year ago. On delivery and start-up, it died. They had forgotten oil. Quick repair so we thought good things. Had general maintenance done this winter (oil change, blades sharpened, etc.). On first mow, BOTH BLADES FELL OFF!!! Obviously, they do really poor repairs. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND! See ya!

Just arrived in town and dropped by to have them look at my old S-10, truck. They chatted with me, drove it, gave good doctors advice, sent me to another place and charged me exactly $0. The world still has these places! Good to hear. Jason, Doug, other....all 5 *s.

It just felt good. My mower worked and looked almost new after getting it repaired.

They were extremely helpful when I brought in my chainsaw with a dull blade. They explained the blades components in great detail showing me exactly what I needed to do to sharpen it myself. I ended up buying a new blade, sharpening kit, and had them sharpen my old one because they put in a lot of effort assisting me. Thank you!!!

Ive bought quite a bit of power equipment from here. Mowers, chain saws, leaf blowers, weed eaters, snow blowers, etc. They are very knowledgeable and wont steer you wrong. Ive always left there feeling as if customer satisfaction was extremely important to them.

Pyramid is a great place for service on both vehicles and lawn care equipment. Theyre probably awesome at other things, but these are the two Ive needed help with. Employees are knowledgeable, helpful and available. If you need service on your equipment, this is the place to go.

I dropped off 2 chainsaw chains to be sharpened on Friday. I was told that they would probably be done the same day, but that even though they took down my phone number they do not make calls to tell people when their stuff is done. Called back a while latter and they werent done. Probably be done Monday. By the third day of probably be done today I had gone out and purchased my own chain sharpener. On the fourth day I stopped to pick up my chains, and was told they should get to them today. Needless to say I took my chains with me, still unsharpened, and sharpened them myself. After 4 days of playing phone tag to see if they did the job I was paying them to do, on the day they said they would do it, I ended up doing it myself. Big waste of time. I highly recommend the Stihl chainsaw sharpener though. Works great, and gets the job done when you want it done instead of promising itll be done today for 4 days in a row.

Friendly honest service.

You have an electrical problem with your vehicle, this is the place to take it. They are knowledgeable and find and fix the source of the problem. I had a drain on my battery which they traces down and fixed. I also have a classic 68 Chevy which had some wiring issues they fixed.

I buy parts and equipment from Pyramid both for business and person use, for over 5 years now. Their parts people are always helpful, even when you dont have all the information needed; even when youre ordering parts they dont carry, or brands they dont service. Theyll help you anyways. They know their equipment and can help you choose the right piece for the application. They will cover you from purchase, through repairs, to the end of the equipments service life. Sometimes the phone get busy, but thats probably a good sign. Thanks for 5 years of great service and Im looking forward to many more!

Usually have what you need, and fix what they think is the problem, then you take it home and find its still leaking oil, take it back and point out the oil filter that they just changed is leaking, and they fis something else, $175ish and the oil filter is still leaking, i go in an ask to buy 1 filter, and they tell me it has 2... i said i know and i was fed up and replaced it myself

20 years ago this was a good place, not anymore. I went in there to get a car fixed which was a big mistake. The young guy with all the tattoos was so stoned he didnt know what I was talking about and his manager wasnt much better. They ended up doing a horrible job and charging me top dollar for it. There are a lot of other place around with a lot better service and lower prices. If they dont want to keep losing business theyll start treating customers right.

Bought a new lawn mower there and it kept dying the first time we used it - we never put gas in it, yet they accused us - literally accused us of putting bad gas in it. That was last spring. Now its fall and it was acting up again, but I got gas at Caseys and I guess its not good, so we were ready to take the blame for that, but they said they found an auto spark plug in it and accused us of having someone else work on it. NO ONE ELSE HAS TOUCHED IT!!! They were very rude and made two mistakes, then turn around and blame us. Even if we were wrong you never attack customers like that and expect to keep them, so obviously they dont want our business.

Took 4 days to repair a tire I brought in. Used to be a good place with good service. Not so much anymore. Wont return. Will visit their competitor in North Liberty instead.

Horrible customer service! They had our mower for 13 days....no phone call, no nothing. When I called them after 8 days they said they were hoping to get to it by Friday and would call. On the following Tuesday my husband called them and it was finally ready. He had requested the belts be changed because they were original to the mower. He got there to pick it up and received a bill for almost $400.00 and the belts were the same. Needless to say, we wont be going back there!

Nobody wanted to work on my car because of electrical issues, Doug took it in at 8 am Tuesday morning and called me by 3 pm to tell me it was done! Great service, talked me through everything,informed me of all fees and prices before even worming on car! Highly recommend

Be careful even driving past these guys. An employee almost hit me with his car in front of the business. When called out for his unsafe driving he became agitated and insisted that we call the cops. Upon the arrival of the police he lied up and down to make himself sound like the victim. Needless to say, Ill find someone else to tune up my lawnmower.

Two years ago I took a five horsepower Briggs and Stratton boat motor to Pyramid because they are the official service center for Briggs and Stratton in the IC area. I bought the motor new for about $500. The motor had been running rough and I felt it needed a tune up. They told me it needed a new lower end, all new hoses (it was a year old) and that it would cost me $450 to fix. I took the motor back after paying the obligatory$20 diagnostic fee, gave it to a friend, and he got it running well in about 20 minutes and uses it to this day. He put no money into it and bought no new parts. Two and a half weeks ago I replaced the spark plug in my Stihl Chainsaw, which was bogging down when I gave it gas although it started right up. A friend suggested I take it to Pyramid, and although I was reluctant to do so based on my previous experience, I did take it there. After two weeks they called and left a message on my phone that it was done. When I went to pick it up, they said they would go in back and get my lawn mower. I told them I brought in a chain saw, not a mower and after about 15 minutes of the clerk asking if I was sure and a lot of looking in back they found I did bring in a chain saw, although they had not yet looked at it. They assured me they would get it in that day or early the next since I had already waited so long. I called back the next day and they said their mechanic had it in during the morning, but was out at lunch so call back. Rather than call back, I went in around 3:30p.m. and then they hit me with the bad news. It needed a new carburetor because it was dirty and spark plug and it would run me about $200. I told them Id just replaced the spark plug and told them that usually when a carb is dirty, it gets cleaned and maybe even rebuilt, but not replaced. I told them I would just take it with me. However, I still had the pay the $20 diagnostic fee, which I thought a bit much since they had inconvenienced me by losing track of my chainsaw for a couple of weeks. When I took the chainsaw home I decided to try and start it as it started right up prior to taking it in. After a couple of pulls, it did start and so I decided to try and cut up a tree branch that had fallen in my back yard. It worked and did not bog down at all! Needless to say, these guys are absolute snake oil salesman and they tried unsuccessfully to bill me for unneeded repairs and parts. The only reason I give them one star is because this system will not allow me to submit without doing that. I highly discourage anyone from doing business with them and as they say in Latin, Caveat Emptor or buyer beware!
