Very professional and honest. My exhaust broke just after the converter and was hanging. I had it towed thinking it would be about $200-$300 to repair and shortly after it was dropped of I got a phone call from the staff. He told me the repair would cost less then $50 and would take 30 mins. I would definitely return and recommend to all that need service. Thank you, you guys are a breath of fresh air.

By far the most reputable company Ive never been for automotive. Winton for my muffler pipe that broke during the snow this Winter only cost $47 to prepare cut out the pipe and put a new one in period other shops would have charged me hundreds of dollars. I definitely will be using this company for all my future automotive needs thank you so much for being honest

These folks are always professional and reasonably priced. This was my second positive experience with them.

I preface this by saying my brother in law is a mechanic so we have high expectations about quality jobs and fair pricing. This place exceeds expectations! They have the best pricing in town and are no pressure (will be honest and say if you can wait a few more months or need to do work now). Super friendly, easy to get into. 100% recommend. We’ve had brake pads replaced in addition to a hitch installed.

Guess depends who you encounter but I didnt enjoy my 5 min experience with ia city location. My questions were countered with pure sarcasm and disrespect (not by the receptionist behind counter ) I might add. So I would suggest only speaking to the receptionist if you choose to go there.

Just finished at Professional Muffler and am very pleased. They got me in quickly, checked out the loud noise and we were happy to learn it wasnt the muffler, but a pipe making the noise. It was replaced efficiently and our bill was very reasonable. Trustworthy - excellent job!

I called about my 2003 Silverado exhaust, they were helpful on the phone and invited me to come down to the shop in Iowa City. I took my very loud truck there, they got it in and by the time I got to my house, I received a call with a diagnosis. They fixed everything and now my truck sounds amazing and drives much better. I was looking to do this myself but I took it to Professional Muffler instead and it was a better decision. Definitely recommend.

I took my vehicle down for a flange gasket originally he told me what needed to be fixed and what can wait and approximately how long he made it so my Toyota wasnt loud anymore and charged fairly cheap for the parts I appreciate pro muffler as they have been around a long time I know alot of people who have dealt with pro muffler they are great. I’ve been coming to professional muffler for over 10 years. I like that they’re one of the only shops I know of that will install the parts that you buy elsewhere. They do great work and also they do free estimates so that you know what you’re going to have to spend before you agree. I would recommend them to anyone.

After being told 2 other auto shops couldn’t help me or would have my car for 3-5 days, I stopped into Pro Muffler hoping someone could actually help me (I’m totally clueless about cars)! All four of the smiling men I spoke with were extremely sweet, helpful, and had my problem diagnosed and fixed within 15 minutes of me stepping in the door. Not to mention at about 1/3 the price of other places!It can be nerve wrecking as a young woman who knows nothing about cars to go into an auto shop, I’ve had some no so great experiences before. But these guys, WOW. So SO nice and after speaking with them I didn’t feel nervous at all.My only complaint is that they were so fast I didn’t get to hear the whole “Pro Muffler surviving the ‘06 tornado” story from the kind sir at the front desk! Great welds. Pricing was great. I have four stars because the tip I had put on had three bolts and they werent welded into place. They cause a rattle. I tighten them everyday.

They were really informative when explaining what was needed, and what it would cost. They gave me options in case I didnt want to deal with the whole problem at one time. The price was reasonable for all they would have to do, so I went with it. Then they really impressed me by calling to tell me the bill would be lower!! They found that one of the parts was in good shape and didnt need to be replaced yet. A+++ for honesty, promptness, quality work, excellent communication, and great customer service. Great atmosphere! Friendly people that go above and beyond my expectations. They dont over look things, whether youre getting brake pads replaced or a new exhausted, they always inspect other components while your vehicle is up on the hoist and alert you of possible issues before youre stranded along the road.

The free estimate but its way to expensive tbh and I think they tried ripping me for example they tried charging me $1,400 for a dual straight pipe and a new right side Manifold when in reality it should have costed 600 or less for parts, so just be careful is what im saying

My car was very loud, I took it to professional muffler and it was fixed before I could finish my soda. It was also cheaper than anywhere in town for exhaust work. They have fixed other problems in my car too and they did a fine job.

One day a couple weeks ago I noticed that my muffler had become detached on my 14 year old Toyota Rav4. I went straight to Facebook to ask for some help on who to go to without spending an arm and a leg. Basically EVERYONE said Professional Muffler! Of course I tried them out. They got me right in and we’re able to assess the situation. Unfortunately my old car was completely rusted and it wasn’t a weld type of fix. We had to replace the muffler HOWEVER I was quoted a very fair price and even with having to get another part from an Iowa city store they had me in and out in less than a HALF HOUR and when I told my mechanic friends they said I got a heck of deal!! Even got a follow up text a couple days later from one of their mechanics checking up and making sure it was running well. Top notch service!

Really great place! I had a loose muffler and called and they said they do walk-ins. I dont live too far away so I just drove down. They werent super busy so they were able to get me in right away. They figured it out quick and got it done fast and it was really reasonably priced. I was very pleased I was out of there in like literally under 20 minutes. 🙂

Exceptional service, they definitely went the extra mile. I went in for brake work and they rotated my tires for free because I had a front tire that was in jeopardy of blowing. They said the damage would have been much worse if it had blown in the front versus the rear. Didn’t realize tires were that worn. Grateful they took the extra time to keep my family safe until I was able to get new tires. Thank you!

I have an 06 f150 5.4 and both manifolds were cracked and I also wanted a muffler delete done, Kevin was very helpful and wasted no time getting to work on my truck. He was very good at keeping me up to date on the process (manifolds are usually a 8-9 hour job) he called me right when it was done and the technician also noticed the truck was running rough and he took the time to scan the system and print out the diagnostic sheet. Fair prices and excellent customer service. If you are looking for someone to fix an exhaust issue or install a new system professional muffler is 100% the place to go. I wish I was treated like this everywhere I go!!!

I went in on a Friday morning, and they got me in very quickly. Had a rusted O2 bung blow out on me, and needed a quick band aid repair. The tech there talked it out with me, and we decided to weld it back in. He did a great weld job, and managed not to weld the actual sensor in even. Very professional staff, and they did not even charge me for the 10 minutes they worked on it. Highly recommend taking your vehicle here for any suspension, exhaust, and other work they perform here. That goes for all Professional Muffler locations. Always had good experiences at these establishments. I consider myself to have above average car knowledge.
