There was a mistake when my tires were being ordered, so I ended up getting even nicer tires for the same price they originally offered me. They are the best repair place in the area, they are always fair with their prices. Recommend them to everyone who needs auto service.

Ive brought my car to Dodge St Tire & Auto throughout the past decade. What I love about this place is the level of care. They treat customers, cars, and each other with respect. They dont talk down to anyone, they dont waste time, they come through with what they say they will. They set the bar high for their quality of excellence, but it really comes through each interaction they have. Id highly recommend working with them.

Amazing and friendly service! It was nice to chat with some of the workers at the front while my vehicle was being serviced and loved how they engaged in conversation with my 2 year old and her doll. They got her talking and settled down with a doughnut, at least until she was finished with it, helping pass some of the waiting time for her till the car was done. I called every tire dealer in the general area & Dodge Street Tire had the best prices around for the exact same tire that other places wanted considerably more for. We had an appointment for 4:30 PM on a Thursday however we did not make it over with our trailer. I called the following morning to see if there was any way they could work us in. I was told to bring the trailer on over & theyd take care of it. Took our trailer over & they got right to it. In addition to having the best prices around the staff was friendly & great to do business with. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone needing tires in the Iowa City area. Recommended to this place by another shop that was booked. So glad for the recommendation. Was in bind as I was headed out of town for a long trip with a packed car and had a dead battery. They squeezed me and my packed car full of animals in on probably what was their busiest day getting ready for Thanksgiving...and even topped off fluids and checked tires to make sure I was good to hit the highway. I took my car here for 3 years while I was living in the area. Brian, Troy, and the rest of the team are friendly and honest when it comes to prices and discussing what repairs you need. They do high quality work, and consistently paid attention to details on my car beyond what I took it in for. I could almost always get in within a week for any repair, and my car was always ready in a timely manner. For a while my car was having a mystery problem, and Brian and Troy were awesome in investigating it and letting me swing by for them to take a look anytime the problem would come back. Certainly grateful for and going to miss the warm, high quality service here!

Ive been coming to Dodge Street Tire & Auto ever since I moved here from Ohio. I choose to use them because I read several reviews about their quality work and Honesty. I have to say after the past four years Ive been a customer theyve been amazing with diagnosing and repairing my cars. Recently my college student had been driving home from Ohio and while she was in Indiana she had a unusual warning light appeared on her dash. So she called Brian! Although over 600 miles away Brian was able to help her diagnose the problem and found her find a near by trusted mechanic to help her. I used Dodge St. Tire for the 4 years we lived in Iowa City. They were friendly, knowledable, and priced very fair. As a woman, Im always nervous when going to a new shop that I will get taken advantage of...I never had that feeling at Dodge St. I no longer live in Iowa and am now looking for a new shop that I trust as much as Dodge St. My airbag light came on and I called Dodge St. for information on what it could be to arm myself with knowledge before going to a new place. They took the time to talk to me, checked for possible recalls, and gave me potential problems and questions to ask the new shop. The fact that they took the time to help me knowing I could not bring my car to them is the mark of an excellent and honest shop!

Experienced in dealing with kids who know nothing about their cars. :) And they dont take advantage of that fact... :)

I am not from Iowa so maybe this is typical. When I took my car in to get the air conditioning fixed, Brian called me within three hours to say that they thought they had fixed it but they would like me to drive it around for a week and then come pay for it if it worked fine. I have to tell you Iowans that the rest of the world doesn’t work like this— just so you know. I have never had a mechanic tell me to drive around and come back to pay if the car was fixed. They were recommended by Napa auto parts and now they are recommended by me!

Had my daughter go here a couple of times now since she is going to college in Iowa City. Brian the owner is great and makes me feel at ease when Im so far away and cant help with auto trouble. Great prices and service is excellent. Will fix the problem and inform you of anything you might need to keep an eye on and fix at a later date. They are busy so make an appointment or be ready to wait a few days. Also if you need rental car Budget will be least hassle if you are under 25 but over 21.

As far as Im concerned, Brian has two skills:1. Knowing cars and managing a team of mechanics.2. Communicating with customers. I know little about cars, but Brian always makes me feel informed, takes time to go over things with me, and is willing to explain why theyre doing things a certain way.There are other mechanics in town who also do quality work (as far as I can tell) at a decent price, but they dont do a good job communicating and often would rather avoid talking to customers. Thats fine, but thats not what Im looking for. Im looking for a partner in car maintenance and repair, particularly for my old cars. Thats Dodge Street Tire.

This place is awesome! I went in today with a flat tire, and discovered they were incredibly busy. But within less than an hour, they fixed the tire and refused to charge me anything. The were super-friendly and kept me informed as to what was going on and how long it would take. Ive just become a new regular customer.

I first took my previous car to Dodge St. Tire after they gave me a much lower quote on a lower control arm replacement than I received at another auto shop in town. They have very reasonable prices, and with my experience, get you in for an appointment in a timely manner. Another plus is they provide a shuttle service and the driver was so kind and accommodating with my schedule. Today I was looking at a used car and called to see if they would be able to do an inspection despite them being busy on a Saturday, they agreed it at a time that worked great for me. They completed a very thorough inspection of the car and passed along a couple recommendations. To my surprise, they performed the inspection for free which I really appreciated. Would recommend to anyone looking for reasonable prices and honest, knowledgeable staff; This place is truly the best in town!

I bought a set of tires here and the service has been wonderful. The people who work here are great. I had to cancel and reschedule an appointment at the last minute and they were very gracious about it. I appreciate how they want to check the lugs on the wheels 25-50 miles after getting a rotation/new tires which is an added safety feature Ive never had another tire place perform.

I have had many issues with my car in the past few months. I feel these guys have gone out of their way each time Ive taken my car in. They are fair and great at communicating with a college student who doesnt know a thing about cars. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Had issue with a Dodge pickup and Im 350 miles from home. They were an hour away from me but I called anyway. I needed a code read on a check engine light. They were nice enough to find and recommend a garage near me.

If youve read the good reviews about Dodge St. Tire, believe them. I just had a great experience with them on my 2005 Ford Sport Trac. Went in to fix some oil leaks and they ran into some complications with the injectors and pressure sensor. They had to keep it a couple extra days but got the job done without charging me anything additional for the extra work and parts. Great people, great experience.

This is the BEST not one of the bests in the area!They are professional and honest about every detail.They top-off all the under the hood fluid every time for free even I just did a oil/filter change.Bringing my car to them the fourth time to do the oil change and maintenance the coming Friday.They also replaced all of the missing clips under the front bumper for free.They never sell you anything you dont need and they never over charge.They are also very fast although they are packed!DO NOT go anywhere else besides Dodge St Tire if you are in Iowa City!!!!!!!

I dont usually write reviews but I had to for this place. By far the best repair shop Ive ever dealt with. So lenient and friendly. I had a problem with my coolant levels, they replaced it for me, ran it to make sure there were no leaks. When I asked how much they said not to worry about it. The place was closing and I wasnt going to make it there on time but one of the workers hid my key somewhere so I could pick it up whenever I wanted. Extremely helpful, amazingly friendly.

Magnificent service and work. They dont try to upsell or suggest unnecessary or early repairs. They are honest about what needs to be done and upfront about cost. The customer service is impeccable, always friendly and flexible. They offer rides if you need to drop your car off, though the location is also right next to a bus route. I have been going here for over three years and dont plan on changing.The only improvement I could suggest is carpet vacuum with oil changes. This is the first place I ran into that doesnt do that, but the great customer service and prices make up for it!
