I had an one-of-a-kind rug that I have had for years and the rubber backing had deteriorated. Poindexter Ashjian Oriental Rug Cleaning was recommended to me from a carpet company. So glad that I took my rug to them. They did an amazing job! The back of my rug looks like new. They hand removed the old rubber backing and then applied a new backing with serging all around the edges. I would not hesitate to use them again! Tyrone (the owner) is a delightful man!

For many years I have brought my Karistan rugs to Poindexters. They do a superb job and can make expert repairs, including fringe and the whip-stitched edge.

My dog became sick with an immune diease which required massive doses of prednisone. He was constantly thirsty and had very little bladder control. Before I fully copped on to the situation (hed been very well potty trained before), he managed sneakily to hit every rug. There is only so much enzyme solution can do, plus, I could not clean the rugs myself, possibly oversoaking them on top of the oak floors. I called Poindexters. They left the house with 11 rugs of various patterns and sizes, moving furniture to take some of them up. They returned the rugs in beautiful condition with perfect fringe and put them back down expertly, taking the paper wrappers with them. Andre had even memorized what went where. Very reasonably priced and prompt. Excellent in every way.

In early December I took 2 rugs to be cleaned to Pointdexters, close to where I live. I found the owner and his staff very friendly and knowledgeable and was very satisfied with the job done, prices very reasonable, fast service. A few days later I took in a large very old, and much worn rug that needed Binding. I could not afford cleaning at this time and told them so. When called to pick up the rug Mr. Pointdexter told me that they have an early Xmas present for me. Turned out they not only did a great job of binding, but also cleaned the rug at no added cost to me. This truly was a wonderful present, they could see how much I loved that old rug, and wanted to make it look as good as possible. That is oldfashioned customer service one does not get very often these days. I highly recommend Pointdexters Rug Cleaning not only for this good deed, but for the quality and dedication to their work. In the past 3 years, we have had several oriental rugs cleaned by Poindexter Rug Cleaning and always been pleased with the quality of their work. They also do great repairs at a fair price. The last cleaning was a terribly worn antique. They rebound the edges and repaired several rips invisibly. Yes, the rug is still worn, but now it can be somewhere other than rolled up under a bed!
