Pam, apparently the GM, was one of the rudest people I have ever interacted with for customer service. She felt it was more important to finish her smoke and story than it was to let her coworker help us hook up a simple trailer we had already paid for. Would not recommend for that reason alone. Very disappointing.

Can’t get ahold of anyone and I’ve been trying to get ahold of the manager or anyone at the office all weekend. My unit has no lights in it and the unit beside it was forcibly broken into. I just rented this unit last week and have yet to speak to a human.Stay away from this company.

Very difficult company to work with. Average wait time on customer service line is at least 30 mins. When you finally get someone on the line they usually have no clue what theyre talking about. Usually takes a supervisor to step in and provide clarification (which of course, adds another 30 mins when they transfer you). Also, the phone #s provided online usually send you to a centralized location that is separate from the actual, physical location where you rented a truck or storage container. This shouldnt be this hard and you shouldnt have to block and hour or so just to ask basic questions with this company. Avoid.at all costs. There are other options.

The worst service ever. The manager is rude and inefficient. The staff surprisingly are friendly. They definitely need more people to help customers. Even though i had an online reservation it took me an hour to get my rental.

The fact that there are not elevators in the indoor storage facility is ridiculous. The whole place smells like dead mice and is swelteringly hot. Two tiny dehumidifiers are not enough to do the job for the building.

Terrible customer service. I took my vehicle in to get wiring installed for a trailer and they had the wrong parts. They told me they will order the parts and call when they came in. Never heard back from them. They dont return calls and the manager was unable to be reached. I wont come back here for anything.

I have used this location on several occasions. I am about to use their services again for not only a trailer, but also a storage solution. Every time I have been here, the service and the employees have been great. Id recommend this location to anyone who needs moving or storage needs - or a hitch for their vehicle.

The worst experience with a Uhaul that I have ever had. I Reserved a trailer to haul my MG midget and when I arrived to pick it up she asked what I was hauling. I said a MG midget car. She then proceeded to tell me that it would not fit in the trailer. I told her that I measured and it would fit with no problem and it only weighs 1600lbs well under the 3700lbs that the trailer holds. She was rude and said it again that it would not fit and she had the right to refuse me and she did. So I went two miles up the road to another U haul and rented the same trailer and hauled my car without a hitch.

The customer service wasnt impressive, but they were polite. The truck I got was in bad shape. The passenger side mirror wouldnt stay, so I couldnt see the right side of the truck. The back hadnt been cleaned as there were still Christmas bulbs in there that I had to clean up (some had broken). In the end, I want impressed, especially for the price.

I rented a van from here once and refilled my propane tank twice now. All experiences were great and the young man helping me today was super sweet and loaded my tank up for me at the end.

This is one of the worst cases of customer service I’ve had in quite some time. I rarely post but the manager of this store compelled me to do so. On my online reservation I confirmed that I was picking the truck up at this location and dropping it off at another location closer to my house. The manager immediately barked at me started saying I was completely wrong and that UHaul doesn’t allow that. I couldn’t believe how she was talking to me. Then another customer came in asking for a truck from a resevatukn he had and she told him she didn’t have that truck and he was going to have to wait til Monday. She had so much attitude when dealing with customers it was unreal. The only saving grace of this place was Tyrone. He was super nice when he met me when I dropped off the truck. I feel sorry for all of the employees who work under her “leadership”. I will never be going back here again.

The people there are usually nice and helpful, however its more of an off site storage situation as many of the units there are small like standard closets so they are better suited for documents not furniture.

Would be a five star if the price wasnt so high. Paid 158 for 86 Miles, plus gas I had to refill. Way to much in my opinion.

This place sneaks up on you quickly unless you already knew where it was. Could use better signage on this busy road. Open long hours except on Sunday.

The GM Pam on East Washington St is a racist! Me and my spouse had a difficult time with her which in itself caused everything we had purchased to be free of charged and reimbursed.

I made a reservation over the phone, confirmed reservation. Arrive at the location and was told it was at 72nd and Shadeland. I question why it would be there, and the owner tells her employee What is it she DOESNT understand - lovely customer service. I finally figure out its at 27th and Shadeland, through no help from them at this point, and am very thankful I can take my business there and get away from this owner and her attitude problem. Not recommended!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I had originally scheduled for a self pick up because it was supposed to cut my wait time in half I ended leaving the lot an hour late. Got to the location, completed most of the steps needed for self pick up and was told to locate my truck, and then go inside to retrieve my key. Went inside and was told that I needed to do it on my phone... I had to show them that on step 6 it asked me to come inside and get the key. The older lady Jill I believe said the keys are under to seat. Went back to my truck and searched all over and didnt find any keys. Found out they had me scheduled for a completely different truck. Because of this issue I spent over an hour canceling my original contract and was made a whole new contract for the wrong truck. She was rude and used choice words while dealing with me even though I kept calm and understandable about their issues. I ended up using the truck for over an hour and didnt need the full four hours and returned the truck well before the scheduled drop off time. ON TOP OF ALL THIS, I found out today that I was charged twice on my bank statement for both trucks. As if my original contract was never canceled!! I called them and they said I was only charged once. I had to call my bank and explain the situation to them and they agreed that I could not have possibly driven two different trucks at the exact same time and put in a pre-authorized release for one of the charges!!! In Indianapolis, uhaul rental stores are within miles of eachother and I STRONGLY suggest you use a different location other than this one on E. Washington st! Friends and family will never use his location I guarantee this.

I dont usually ever leave comments on buisnesses because you never know if they are just having a bad day. But, I have been coming to this uhaul for over 5 years. And since the new manager (pam) took over this location it has really gone down hill. She is very rude and unhelpful, lazy and down right mean to her customers. I have personally witnessed her insult customers and her employees (in front of customers) on several occasions. She would rather make her customers wait for long periods of time until someone else finishes what their doing so they can help you rather than help you herself. or she would rather stand out in the lot with the rest of her employees and smoke while she leaves the store and propane full of people and unattended. I intentionally drive 10 miles out of the way to avoid her and her store.. today I was running short on time so I couldnt drive to the other location. taking my chances I tried them again. Not a customer in site. No one at propane...thought oh good just maybe... Pushed the button on the intercom and was screamed at, Its gonna be a while.. if your looking for a truck or somewhere to get propane I suggest you dont go here. or as her favorite words are its gonna be a while. even if you are the only customer on the lot....

Didnt realize that it was light 5 gallons gas when i drove off. I put what i thought was more than enough back in, but was still short, cost me a few dollars more:( double check the gas begore

Very unprofessional and rude. I reserved a u haul yesterday and was given a price and now when I go in today they doubled the price and lied to us. my fiance went in as I was at home with our children so he had me on the phone and she refused to talk to me she was just Rude and hateful. They obviously lie to people to get them in. well Im not paying double the price when they just told me the price yesterday and it was much less.
