I recently purchased my first car from here. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. I was originally looking at other dealerships, but Savannah assured me they were awesome and could get me the best deals (she was correct!). Between Savannah and James, who helped me make sure I was getting the best deal and making it happen for me, this was a wonderful first time - buyer experience. I will definitely recommend them to anyone in search of a new car. Im happy to have them as my car dealership! Wonderful people!

Ill have to say that this was among one of the best car purchasing experiences Ive had. From beginning to end, the entire process was seamless. I explained my financial situation to Savannah (my wonderful salesperson who is pictured with me next to my car) and James (my financial guy) and both offered sound advice for financing, payments, insurance, warranties, etc. and different vehicles to try. I never once felt pressured into purchasing the car I ended up buying, and was even told that if I didnt like it after a week, I could bring it back and get something else until I was satisfied. I would highly recommend purchasing a car at Ray Skillman NE Mazda...make sure to ask for Savannah!

I purchased a CX-3 from here and they were very helpful in helping me find what I needed. Alex Flores in particular was kind and made the car buying experience a breeze. Since the purchase of my car early last year, I have taken it to their service center for every oil change and have been quite happy with their services. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sensible vehicle from a reputable dealer.

I dont mean to sound rude and I dont mean to put anyone down or make business look bad for anybody else but Ray skillman has done me terribly wrong they gave me three vehicles with the same finance company and refused to take any other vehicles back they put me in a bind to where I had to file bankruptcy my contract they have is so high that no one will ever take this car nor can I trade this car in with anybody else I didnt think Ray skillman was right they never even asked to correct their mistake or even ask to even look into my account so I had a bad experience with Ray skillman and I will never go back to them again. And if you are African American and your stuff is not on point you might not want to go to Ray skillman cuz they are very prejudiced theyll help you but they going to stick it to you too

Came to the dealership looking to buy a new car. The salesman wouldnt honor the price listed on their website, and the sales manager was rude. When the sales manager countered my offer with the exact same initial offer minus VIN etching, I knew that he was not taking me seriously and took my business elsewhere. I was more than happy to buy a car from Ray Skillman West and their very friendly and professional staff.

Purchased a used car here. They say they detail the car but it was obvious they didnt even vacuum the inside. Shortly after driving it home I checked the oil levels and there was no oil.Speaking only for their Used cars, it seems they just flip whatever cars they buy without any effort towards preparing it to be sold. I feel more like I got lucky that there were no major issues with the car.Now I get spammed with calls from the dealership saying they want to buy my car back. Its tempting but that would mean I have to interact with the dealership which is something I have 0 interest in. Fortunately Mazda as a company is good and Im happy with the car. I just would not ever buy a car from this dealership.

I took my car here for a recall issue and was told by the service staff that I required a battery replacement on my car that is less than 2 years old. I told them that I have no previous battery issues with the car and will not be purchasing a battery from them. I took my car for a second opinion to my regular mechanic the next day and told that my battery did not require any immediate attention. The service team printed out the ticket to prove to me that my battery failed their test. Based on the readings that my trusted mechanic took of my battery, the print out that they gave me as proof was false and was not in any way taken from my vehicle. I felt like I was intentionally being taken advantage of by the service team being a young female that they assumed knew nothing about vehicles or maintenance. Do not take your car here for any maintenance issues.

I wanted to wait till I had my vehicle for a while to write my review so my review is well-informed and honest. I purchased a 2019 Mazda3 Hatchback last year from Tony (the Senior Sales Advisor who has since retired) and he was phenomenal. I bought my car very early in the year before the pandemic had even started but 99% of the purchase process was online and it was great! Submitted my credit application, negotiated and settled on terms over the phone/through email. The only time I had to visit the dealership was to sign the final paperwork which only took maybe 30-45 minutes thanks to Sid in finance who got me the absolute deal of a lifetime on my vehicle. I have no idea how he got me such an amazing deal but I am not complaining!My Mazda has been hands down the best car I have ever owned. Not only is it fast and fun to drive with all the options and features I wanted, but I have never had a single issue with it. I have only ever brought it into the service department for routine services. Dave in service has always taken care of me and is always straight to the point and helpful.I think it is safe to say that I will be returning here for anything I need in the future, including when the time comes for my next purchase! My wife purchased a Mazda Miata. Everything went great until we got to the finance manager. BE WARE - they tried to sneak a $250 charge for VIN etching onto our bill. When we called them out for this - the story shifted to they gave us another discount to offset this cost as they tried to hurry us along to sign the documents. When we demanded to show us where the offsetting discount showed, the story shifted to we made an honest mistake. Nothing honest about this place!!!!

I have bought 3 Mazda 6 from Ray Skillman 2 from the west side store and this 2021 from the east side. When I took delivery of the car the inside was dirty the windows where dirty. I was willing to overlook that. Driving home I noticed that the car was handling bad and rode bad. There was no TPS warning so I didnt suspect the tire pressure was wrong. I drove to the UP of Michigan that next day and put 1200 miles on the car. the car handled terrible. when I got back I was ready to buy new tires for the car and the tires looked funny. I was checking the tire pressure on my UTV and thought I am going to check the car to. 58 PSI in all 4 tires verified by 2 gauges. How does that happen. Thanks East side for a dirty car and DANGEROUSLY overinflated tires. The cars come off the truck and on the lot and NOTHING is checked when the car is sold. You can have your 2 free oil changes. You have lost my trust and my business. I wouldnt let service my bicycle.

I have been coming to this location for service for some time and had purchased my new 3 from Franklin a year ago. I would occasionally have service issues but the have recently made some changes in the service department and I am very happy! Particularly Hank in the service department has made a world of difference taking care of my service needs and has even made a follow up phone call to check on me. Absolutely horrible. After explaining everything I did and did NOT want, they did whatever they pleased. They took my keys to my car at the beginning and after sitting there for 3hrs and several hits on my credit which I told them not to do, they brought a car I didn’t want and could barely afford. Then I had to ask more than one person to get my keys. Worst car buying experience ever!

I was coming back from a road trip when my car broke down. I had to go back home to kentucky to wait for my car. Dave Vargas was exceptionally helpful throughout the process, giving me frequent updates on my vehicle and even offering to drive me to get food while i waited for my vehicle. He asked mazda to help with the repair for my vehicle which reduced the cost dramatically. Dave was very helpful in getting me my vehicle in a reasonable time and under the expected price, which is always satisfying.

James and his team (Savannah, Daniel, and Chelsea) where amazing! I bought my truck with no extended warranty and the very next day, Easter Sunday, my truck wouldn’t start. James came to my house to give me a brand new battery and got me running. Something went wrong with the install and cut all my electrical system off. So he put me in a rental and had the shop fix it at no cost to me. By far the most solid team I’ve ever dealt with. My next vehicle, I will be reaching out to them!

DO BOT BUY HERE! I purchased a 2016 Jeep in May, and at first was so happy with it. Then last week after getting an oil change I was informed I needed new brake pads and rotors on both front and back tires. Another $300 down the drain. Then I find out I had a busted knuckle on the front left tire, there’s another $300. And I also need a new strut mount assembly on the right side so that will be at least another $100. (I would have to pay even more on top of this, but My brother is doing the labor for free). This car has only 40k miles on it!!! I’ve barely driven it since I purchased it because I’ve been working from home. I sincerely wish I would have done more research before purchasing here, because now I have to live with a piece of s**t car for the next several years. Save yourself some money and time and go elsewhere.

They don’t inspect their cars before they sale them to you I bought a car with 26k on it took it in for oil change they found out brake issues by supposedly inspecting it again but not even a month later I had more issues I complained about they told me it’s normal for the car and now having it for 4 months I have to pay for my car to get inspected to figure out a braking system issue. I would be satisfied if they at least checked it out for free since they are who touched my brakes last and so called inspected it then but since purchase of car I’m just another number

My wife and I had a terrible experience at Ray Skillman. My wife wanted to buy a new car, and when we arrived, the manager only looked at me and addressed me instead of her. The entire time at the dealership, the manager and salesman would not look at her or talk to her about anything even though she was the one buying the car. The only reason we went to Ray Skillman was because they had the exact car she wanted. Franklin was our sales person, and he up-sold us on the Ziebart package. He claimed the package would allow us to have two free interior cleanings each year which is the only reason we bought it. When we tried to use this package, Ziebart charged us more for the interior cleanings and said they don’t offer this package. Franklin said that he remembers selling this to us for the interior cleanings but that Ziebart doesn’t offer this deal and never has. I asked him to fix the problem, and he pretty much said he can’t do anything, even though we only bought this package because of what he said. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience, and I will never shop at any Ray Skillman again.

Now I have an alert that they are trying to pull a hard credit check from my fraud alert?! I have never dealt with these people or giving them as much as my name. They give you the best custumer service ever when you go buy your car, but when you go back to them with issues it’s a completely different story. When I called them because I was not receiving the stuff that I was promised like my gap insurance check, or because they did not pay the old debt of my old car completely, they gave me the run around and were unable to help me, so disappointed. These people just want your money and they don’t care about their clients. This is not how you run a business I’m buying my next car somewhere else. I would not recommend this place.

Had an appointment to have my key reprogrammed. I called Friday to set up and get a quote. I was quoted $130 plus taxes. After i pulled in to drop off the car, one of the service guys asked me if i was quoted. I told him yes and the amount, he said ok. So after the work was done i went up to pay. I asked one of the service guys was this covered by warranty. He did not know so he asked another service guy. The other guy rudely replied if you dont have this special warranty then no. So he checked and replied again in this tone, as if i was bothering him, no you just have the manufactures warranty. So i was like ok no problem. Then they tell me the cost of $313, not what i was told Friday. Then the service guy, again being rude, explained the quote i was given was basically the cost for the parts and that didnt include labor. I told him that was fine, i wish i was told that Friday when i called in for a quote, and you dont have to have an attitude about the miscommunication. He replied, if you dont like it he could get another rep for me. I got my Mazda here 3 years ago brand new and have let them do all the service on it since. But after today the service i got today, i will not return. The GM tried to make it right by offering a 20% off next service, but couldnt do anything about the price that i was quoted Friday. The way the service guy was giving me attitude for just asking questions is just unprofessional That is the reason i wont be back. As the customer i walked out feeling like i had done something wrong for just asking questions.

If I could I wouldnt even give them one star. I have been with Ray Skillman for 1 year and 5 months. All of my payments have been on time. I recently missed one payment due to my car being in the shop. When I went up there to make my payment they told me they were repossessing my car. They told me they didnt care about what I had going on. I spoke to the district manager who then told me he didnt care about us going through a pandemic that has nothing to do with him and he hung up on me. now not even a day later they are showing up on my credit as a repossession. I have never ever in my life been through anything like this. I would not recommend going to them.

I purchased my Mazda 3 brand new from this dealership in 2012. The sales experience was smooth. The car now has over 113,000 miles on it. Naturally, maintenance and repairs eventually are needed. I have been impressed with my service writer, Patrick Holmes. He is honest and straightforward. Naturally, over the course of almost 8 years, I have seen some personnel changes. Patrick has been a positive change. Dave Vargas has also always been kind and polite. Also, the former service manager, Robin Jeffries, was very good. Recently, I was able to experience service with the current service manager, Greg Click. Greg is also continuing the positive trend that I have noticed. I have experienced him to be honest and genuinely interested in providing a positive service experience. My recent repairs were well done, and my Mazda still drives like the day it was new. I will continue to give Ray Skillman Northeast Mazda my business, and I definitely urge others to do so also. Thanks!

I had an awesome experience here. I went to many dealerships looking for a new vehicle and they were either short and rude or had wanted ridiculous down payments and payments. My Buick had 254,000 miles on it and had seen better days. Im so glad I went to Ray Skillman and Teresa was my sales professional. She was amazing, down to earth and really helpful. She got us our new to us 2014 Chevy equinox that is perfect for my family and I. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. Natalie was also amazing, she went over all my paperwork with me. I would definitely recommend going to Ray Skillman Northeast Mazda if you are looking for a new or used vehicle. Everyone there is super nice, professional, knowledgeable and not over bearing. When it was time to clean out the Buick and switch everything over to the Equinox they gave us trash bags and the sales woman that sits next to Teresa came outside in the cold and helped us. They screwed me over. I payed my bills on time for two and a half years. I had less than 6 months to pay and got layed off. Didnt work with me at all on a payment. Demanded all I owed them or theyd repossess. They sure did. Right before Christmas. Great way to treat a single parent of three after being a great customer. And dont even try to buy unless you want to pay over 20% interest on your loan. Rip off artists at there best.

Amazing customer service. They were so helpful to narrow down my search for a better car and really listened to what I need for my family. They were able to hone in on my very particular needs and get our choices down to three or four cars. After looking at one or two vehicles, I told them I needed to leave to go run errands, so they offered to let me test drive a car to the grocery store and bring it back that afternoon. It was a crazy idea, but I said sure, why not!?!? It was so useful! Seriously, loading groceries in the back of the car made it feel like the car was really mine and I could imagine daily life with it. Great place!! Focused on the customer, friendly, good people!

Frustrating experience. Even after explaining all my situation that I already have a car loan and I want to lease a car trading in a old car with negative equity. They said that they can get me a leased car. Where in they asked me to go for another car which I don’t want to go for. Waited for 3 days with no response. Called them again and again. They said that they will update me soon and then no response. I will never recommend this dealership to any of my friends. Worst customer service. My rating is 0 for this dealership.

Went in to see about a newer car than what I had. Had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Adam! He was awesome and as up front and honest as he could be and answered every question we had. I recently caught myself in desperate need of a new car. This was pretty unexpected, so my husband and i were short on cash for a down payment. This being said, we needed something reliable and affordable, and fast. Which caused me to start looking online and going to dealerships regularly. Between the coloring books, television, and cookies, they will probably want to go back! The dealership was well put together and very tidy. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms. Thats something you just dont find everyday. Now that Ive babbled on for long enough, Id like to end my review with this...I am now a proud owner of a brand new Mazda 2, named tic (because of its lovely blue color and size), and I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

We had been to several other lots, and were given nothing but the run around. Teresa S. at Ray Skillman northeast Mazda was so professional, polite and did everything she could to get us in our new Equinox. I had all of my paperwork and was ready to buy something newer. Our Buick had 254,000 miles on it. After so many let downs, Teresa really did her job well. Several other staff members were also very helpful in the process, and everyone was very professional and polite. If anyone asked us where they should go to buy a new vehicle, Ray Skillman Northeast Mazda will be the only place we suggest. We went to lots of other lots and attempted to buy a car, only to get astronomical down payments or terrible salespeople and staff. Ray Skillman Northeast Mazda was by far the most professional, knowledgeable and helpful dealership we have been to. From the moment we parked our car, we were greeted with enthusiasm and respect. We asked to be left alone to walk the lot, and our sales person, Bryan Baker, was more than happy to oblige. When we were ready to test drive a vehicle, he was ready to help. He was so knowledgeable about the vehicles. He actually went above and beyond to provide us with the right vehicle with the right options to test. We never felt any pressure to make a decision.Before arriving at the dealership we dreaded the negotiation experience. I must say this was a very pleasant experience. EVERYONE we encountered in the dealership treated us like their best friends.Our experience was so good, we ended up buying 2 vehicles! Just ask for Harry Wallace!!I have bought 4 cars from this dealership within the last three years. I go to this dealer for Harry Wallace. He is one of the best sales people I have ever worked with and since I buy a car every couple of years, I have a lot of experience working with dealerships and salespeople. He does everything in his power to get you the car that you want. I know when I come in for a new car, Harry will take care of me, which is what I look for in a dealership and salesperson. I have even sent both my sisters to Harry when they were looking for their cars. If somebody is needing a car, I immediately recommend Ray Skillman NE Mazda and send them to Harry. In all honesty, if Harry Wallace were to leave this dealership, I would most likely follow him due to the experience he presents me and my family.Every aspect of the buying experience, including the closing with Jeff Bragg and the service center when bringing my cars in for service was a great experience. Many employees at Ray Skillman know me by name and greet me as such when I walk in to buy a new car, ask a question, or bring my cars in for service. My first experience with Ray Skillman Mazda was amazing! I was very excited to work with them again to find another vehicle. The first day we went and tried several cars and had tons of help. We were asked to come back because they were very busy which we understood. We came back for the next few days, hoping to get a car and every time we were given another excuse, such as the car they found wasnt here, then it was but it was being serviced. After a week of this, we were told they would call us when the car was ready. After a week we and emails about what was going on, we got a call that the car was not able to be sold and they were searching for another car for us. To this day no one has bothered to call us! This is horrible customer service. I have emailed ( and have not be responded to) and my husband has called (and was promised a call back) and still nothing! This is not how any one should be treated. I hope your experience will be better than ours.

This place used to be amazing when Zip was there, but when I went around this time last year to purchase a new car after mine was totaled it had become a complete joke! I was sold a car that still have warranty but three weeks after I got the car all these electrical problems and leaks in pipe started happening called them to inform them what was going on and how I shouldn’t of been sold this car in its condition and they basically said oh well sucks for you wound up calling corporate and corporate made them take care of it but they had a nasty attitude about it when I called to check on my car and they told me well we don’t have to pay for this you can pay for it yourself! The Service Manager Jeremy Ball and his Service Advisor Patrick Holmes are extremely polite, friendly and competent and totally dedicated to providing unconditionally full customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone, especially if you are looking for a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff, After being treated horribly by Pete the finance manager at Ray Skillman in Greenwood, IN, Robert & his finance manager (I forgot his name sorry!) made sure I got approved for vehicle I wanted even though I choose not to get that one, they helped me get one that I LOVE! Also, after driving 3 hours I would take the trip again to deal with these two guys!

Its a shame you cant give no stars. I made a purchase at this dealership, but when I did little did I know the nightmare that was awaiting me. 2 months into driving the car the bottom plastic panel ripped off due to them not putting it back on properly. At the same time the drivers side strut started to make a clunking noise and squeaked loudly. I tried for 6 months to get the car in by calling the salesman who sold me the car. He avoided my calls and would not pick up or return calls. So finally I get in for an oil change, Zip Macklin said he would meet me in there to look at the issues I was having. He didnt show up, and the service guy Collin said he heard nothing wrong. So I took to social media, I gave a review on there and Todd Long gets involved, tells me Zip no longer works there and wants to get the car in to look at it. We do that, and then Collin calls to tell me the alignment is off, and it needs a new strut and its best to replace both of them. So they want to do over $1000 worth of work into a car I just purchased 8 months ago that started having problems 2 months in. At the end of the day they wanted nothing more to do with this, and brushed me under the rug. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership.

Found a car that I was looking for online and their system had not been updated in almost 2 weeks regarding that car wasted an 1 1/2 drive time from my house to there in an 1 1/2 from there it back to my house nobody seemed to have known what was actually going on in the communication between the customer service in the people making phone calls was ridiculous and horrible there was not much professionalism between some of these sales people and customers. I understand theres a factor of friendly but there is a factor of professionalism that was not shown. I will continue looking for a car but not with them. They hide vital information in the finest of fine print just to get you in the doors.

Weve been looking for a car for awhile and finally decided to buy one for a Thanksgiving trip. After a bad dealing with another dealer and salty taste we decided to give it another shot with Ray Skillman Mazda since they had the same vehicle.We contacted them and laid out our requirements up front since we were three hours away. They made it happen at 4k less than the other dealership wanted and were absolutely phenomenal to deal with. No tricks or shady salesman surprises. I went in to Ray Skillman today with full intention of buying a new car. Beforehand I had researche just about every car, color, and dealership so I knew exactly what I wanted. Upon entering the dealership, I was greeted by Bryan. Bryan was very nice and assured me we were going to find exactly what I wanted. He was right!!! I was able to trade in my old car and buy a brand new 2013 Mazda 6 (its BEAUTIFUL!) with no trouble. As a recent college graduate with a brand new teaching job, I was a little nervous as this is my first big purchase that I am making as an adult! Bryan put me at ease and was able to get me exactly what I wanted within my budget. I am very pleased with the service I received today at Ray Skillman. I was also helped by Mike and Tim. A little over three years ago my vehicle was about done and my co worker referred me to Ray Skillman NE Mazda. I finally went on a Saturday after work, knowing my credit was HORRIBLE. The staff there was nothing less than amazing! They inhoused financed me for a 2011. After about a year I switched jobs which put me behind a tad on paying. Let me tell you, all I had to do was call them and explain my situation and they said no problem, we can work with you and they DID! Finally in March of 2019 I paid my car off!! These people gives people like me a second chance and I proved myself. Dave, Natalie, and a few others were so understanding about my situation and made my experience flawless to say the least! I recommend them to everyone!! Wish I could give 100 stars because they deserve it!!!! Such pleasant people to do business with! Of you have credit problems, dont let tgat stop you, if anyone can finance you and get you in a new vehicle they can!!!! I love this place and will go back when Im ready for my next car!!!!!

Looking at the Mazda6 and learning a lot about this car ... I was very intrigued by all what this car had, and without any hassle we took it out for a test drive. Go anywhere but here to lease a car. We were completely taken advantage of during them buying out our current lease. the amount the quoted us for the buyout ended up sticking us with a 3k bill we are having to cover. We tried for months to speak to them and get answers only to either never have our calls returned or get any answers. the last time my husband spoke to Brian, he hung up on my husband after telling him sorry about your luck more or less.I had the honor of having Ray Skillman as a patient of mine years ago and promised him when I bought a new car, it would be from him. I did just this in 2012 when I bought a new Mazda and have sent several family members there as well. I commute so 3 years later had to upgrade and RS didnt have any cars I liked that year, so I went to Hyundai. When it came time to upgrade again, Mazda told us they would buy out our lease, they incorrectly firgured the buyout amount and now we are stuck with a 3k bill. We feel like they should cover this amount but no one is willing to step up and own up to their mistake. When this lease term is up, we will go anywhere but here and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to do the same.Too bad Ray doesnt teach his staff to be as caring and committed to service as he is.

I was looking for a larger compact SUV and was travelling from dealership to dealership comparing different manufacturers. When I go tot Ray Skillman Mazda, Caleb Poynter did an excellent job of helping me understand the options available in the Mazda compact SUV. After discussing my needs with him we determined that the Mazda was not the best fit for me, but because they are part of the Ray Skillman collective, he would still be able to help me find the best fit from a different manufacturer as Ray Skillman covers almost all of them. He was not only able to help me find the SUV that fit what I was looking for, and the Ray Skillman dealership where it was located, but physically drove with me to the other Ray Skillman site to complete a test drive with me and make sure I had everything I needed. In the end, while I did not end up purchasing a Mazda, I did end up purchasing a Ray Skillman vehicle all thanks to the help and commitment Caleb provided.

Service dept. - Incredibly slow service (over an hour more than they told me) with no communication. I have the Mazda prepaid maintenance, but they seem to have no idea what Im talking about. So, they asked me to call the dealer who I bought the vehicle from, who simply confirmed what I said.Still waiting as they try to figure out how to handle this thing... Its a Mazda dealership, this isnt so hard.

Tl;dr -- manager excused away their missteps but she felt confident Id return next visit despite poor customer experiencespoke with Robin after filling out dealership survey post-visit and was felt highly dismissed after making effort to express why I answered online questions as I did: her service advisor opted to put another oil weight in despite my specific request before my car arrived and speaking with me no less than 3x that day - told he relocated to her department from sales 2 months ago and that weight of oil was what the dealership stocks in bulk - no offer to rectify their mistake nor even a discount for my return business of a routine oil changealso very disappointed because they already had me for $700+ to replace my alternator on the same visit and when I explained my check engine light came back on in less than an hour after leaving their facility she told me that I would be looking at another diagnostic fee because if it had not turned on during their brief drive then they wouldnt have even thought to check the computer code - she did offer to see what code was listed if I swung by but any retail auto parts store does that free anywaysremind me again why I filled out your online questionnaire I got in my inbox a few times if I am going to feel even less validated than before the survey?

Wouldn’t give them a star they said it would be over $350 to get a new key in it would take over an hour to program. I called bobs master safe and lock services they came out and helped me for 129.95! Do not listen to them when they say it’ll take an arm and a leg to get a new key it took Bob’s 5 mins or less to program my key.
