My Husband and I were very impressed with the design and the quality of the (9) doors that we have from Cox Interior. In comparison to what you receive at the Big Box stores, Cox is superior. I have rated this company (2) stars because of the lack of customer service that I have received when there was major issues arising. We received a faulty jamb that was split, so we had to ordered another one. When the new jamb arrived, it was the wrong size. The sales representative had ordered the wrong size. So, after leaving several messages with various supervisors, I finally got ahold of a supervisor named Joe that was extremely helpful and resolved the issues and even reimbursed us for labor costs due to an error on the sales representatives part. The problems continued to unfold. We had several issues with the sales repesentative by the name of Butch Hayes. He was very polite, informative, and helpful when he came to our home. However, we also ordered Andersen windows through this representative and assumed that we were going through Cox Interior since that was what we were led to believe. Originally we were told before we placed the order that we could have the windows in 2 weeks, which would have been at the end of September. We were quoting several other companies and they could have the windows installed by the first week of October. Again, we were impressed with Butch, so we went ahead and ordered the windows through him. After he placed the order, which he waited to do so for almost 2 weeks, he then informed us that we would not receive our windows until Oct. 17th. We were upset but realized that these things happen. After we received our windows, the installers came and informed us that the windows were the wrong size. All of them! Unfortuately they had already taken the window out, so they were able to make (2) out of the (4) windows ordered work by removing studs in our walls. Yes, it was a nightmare. When we spoke to Butch about this issue, I informed him that I was very hot (angry) about this since we waited 6 weeks for these windows and I wanted to know who his supervisor was. He told me that I can tell Cox Interior for him that they owe him money too since he had to make personal trips to our home (not for sure what this means) and then disconnected the call on me. After this, he did re-order our windows and we were again told a date of November 10th for them to arrive, which was 2 weeks from the date that this was happening. On November 11th, I contacted the window manufacturer and they informed me that the windows would not arrive until December 2nd. So, in conclusion, we were told 2 weeks on windows that would take 3 months essentially. Short story, I would not order anything from their Independent sale reps besides doors. Cox Interior told me that there was nothing that they could do to help us regarding the windows since he was an independent rep. If we do not receive any discount on the windows from the Sales rep,, we will be forced to pursue legal action to reimburse labor costs and time invested.
