What an amazing experience. First off Lou and his son are very very knowledgeable about their products. Second they are some of the nicest people I think I’ve met. First time there today and very impressed with their knowledge of spirits. Very kind to a newcomer, and the owner even invited me to their tasting room to look around. Their stock of different wines, beers and spirits are enormous. Ill definitely be back.

Unknown to the associate working the floor that I was having a bad day. He was very friendly and helpful. Asked if he could help. Told him I enjoy red wine and he started introducing them. What a selection to choose from. Doing our interactions I told him I was waiting on a call from my sons doctor, regarding his health. Immediately he escorted me to Northstar (the name of the wine) and said something to the effect, this is what you are looking for seeing that you are in so many word praying for good news and besides its on sale. What he said was profound and struck a cord. It also saved me money. I left feeling enlightened by just what he said. It make my day and I enjoyed the wine.

Ive been shopping here for years, and here are my takeaways...1. They carry a variety of products ranging from the common to the high end/expensive/rare.2. When they get product at closeout prices, they pass the savings on to the customer. This is very much unlike another big retailer in the area.3. They manage their allocated product responsibly and could charge more for these items if they so desired.4. They have staff/specialists who understand their high end products and are passionate about them.5. Customer service is fantastic.Thank you SoBro team.

A well stocked liquor stored staffed by kind & helpful people. I also like that SoBro Spirits employs off duty IMPD to sit in the parking lot from dawn-close, store is very safe even for the area.

Great selection. Even have some difficult-to-find spirits. Fair pricing (typically cheaper than Khans) and staff is always helpful and friendly. They even carry boxes of liquor out to my car when Im there to stock a near empty bar. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Indy.

Stopped by today to pick up a bottle of bourbon. Lou went out of his way to show me some new stock they had and let me taste a few. He went out of his way to educate me (and another customer) on various things regarding their bourbon. It was a delightful experience. You should definitely shop there.

It’s great to see this place transform from a cash-only “only go here if it’s the only option and I’m in a rush” to a top notch liquor store. The prices are great and the staff really seems to know what they’re talking about. Awesome to see them branch into some online sales with some curated club picks as well. Get on their email list and you’ll find some good deals coming your way pretty frequently.

This is a LARGE place! I love how everything has a credit price and a cash price. Theres a great selection. The people were also helpful, that he was helping a lady in a choice of wine based on her needs! Super insightful. Prices are decent too, even if by $3. Would recommend to a friend.

And get this they are very knowledgeable about the spirits they carry! If im on that side of town I always try and stop in its definitely the service for me that keeps me coming back

They pack a lot into this place to maintain a well curated liquor and liqueur selection. Theyll have most everything you need for your cocktails.Wine is solid, with some unique finds. Beer seems to be good, but I dont shop for it often.You pay a bit more to use a credit card, but even those prices are competitive.

Ive lived in this neighborhood for fifteen years and have been stopping by ever since. Lovely people work here and theyre all knowledgeable on whatever youre looking for. Theres an expert here for everything and theyve never steered me wrong. Also great prices and they always supported our neighborhood association. Its small, but they have a well-crafted selection. Literally the only liquor store I go to! The staff is fun, friendly, and so freaking NICE! Always ask me if I need help out to my car, or if I need help finding anything. Even let me order something specific I couldnt find, and got it in for me!

At first glance you may be thinking hole in the wall, but you couldnt be further from the truth. If you are one of the MANY rabid bourbon deinkers/collectors out there, this is your place. Great selection of bourbons. The store barrel picks are never a disappointment. They have a great monthly lottery (you have to visit and buy something to add your name to the drawing) where you may be able to land a ghost of a hard to find bourbon. THE BEST part of going there are the people who work there. Very friendly. Very knowledgable. Chris, their wine expert, is not only a blast but has a great palate and can match you up perfectly with what you are looking for. His wine specials are very very good. Give it a try...it doesnt disappoint!!!

Very clean, staff is always friendly. They have frequent tastings of many different varieties. They have a ton of everything there variety is great. Prices are slightly higher than other liquor stores but its worth it. There is no one in the parking lot begging for change either.

Very disappointed. After going here for years and being a loyal customer several times a week. I show up this evening at 7:54 wanting to order something behind the counter. Their open sign and atm sign were still lit as parked. The gentleman inside waved me away and turned off the signs in front of me. I told the man I come in there several times a week and that it was still 7:54 and pointed to the sign that said 7:55. He said it was now 7:55 and they were closed. To me this shows poor loyalty to your loyal customers. I enjoy the staff in there but this has really changed my view on the establishment. I will not be going to this liquor store moving forward. I will take my loyal business elsewhere. I am disappointed that this seemingly mom and pop friendly liquor store does not in fact show they value their customers. Shame.

Its convenient & knowledgeable. If you are a regular, they will order items for you, but wont necessarily stalk the items again. Its VERY small, cramped, extremely narrows aisles. NO chance of social distance in this place. Do not go inside if you are trying to social distance.

I have been a customer of A-1 Liquor for 3-4 years and I can highly recommend them for all your liquor needs! They are cash only- which allows them to keep their prices down, and I can tell you their prices are the best in town! Not only awesome prices, but they also have an excellent selection. Beer- from basic to craft to imports, and lots of single bottle options to try before you buy a 6-pack! They have a great bourbon selection, and a modest and expanding scotch selection. Their wine selection is very good: most being under $30, though they do have many higher priced as well. Their clearance wines are extensive and worth trying. My wife & I have enjoyed several wines that drink like a $10-20 wine from their clearance shelves for only $4-7! The owners and staff are also very friendly and helpful!

Good selection, the bourbon allocation is very fair with all the allocated stuff being raffled off to whoever gets to purchase it.Good selection of craft beer of all kinds. I got some Bourbon barrel aged expedition stout there, and it was priced a few dollars lower than anywhere else I could find it.Clerks are always nice and the man who owns it is very genuine. Theres almost always an officer or security there if youre sketched out about going in there yourself.

Super deals here, and an ever changing selection of interesting booze. Single cans of a wide variety of craft beers. It has a distinctive smell..they need to replace the old carpet. It’s an alcohol adventure, though.👍🏼

This is not a widely known store. It should be! Very helpful staff. Varied selection of products that are often fantastic bargains. If youre into craft beers, or are looking for a good wine without being a wineologist then try this place out.

Honestly the best liquor store Ive ever visited. Great selection of bourbons and scotches, with a lot of craft beers as well. Paying with cash will also net you a 3% discount. They will regularly have the vest prices Ive seen on different bottles of whiskies and sell some hard to find stuff.

Dont be deterred by their cash only policy, theres a Triton ATM by the counter whose fee is easily outweighed by the savings if you forgot to bring money. Compared to the other liquor stores in the area like Kahns and 21st Amendment, this place is tops. Not only are their prices lower, but their overall selection of singles and craft beers is just as good if not better. Their friendliness and customer service is also top notch, its much more of a local, neighborhood shop compared to the other stores. Do yourself a favor, shop at A-1.
