More often than not, Wildwood has something unexpected and delicious that my guests will enjoy. Their cheese selection is top quality and broad, and there is always someone available to provide information and more importantly, free samples. π€€ Its my favorite place to find crackers, meats, cheeses (obvs) and other snacky things. Best of all, they support local businesses.
Workers are always helpful with suggestions and assistance. Cheerful cashiers, great prepared foods, fresh local produce and delicious small label products. They also have gorgeous fresh floral bouquets.
Quaint little market, with a nice variety of local products. Deceiving curb presence hides diverse choices of sauces, spices, dressings, and other pantry items. Also has a modest collection of fresh produce and baked goods at decent prices and a sizeable charcuterie selection. Maybe not the place to do large shopping trips, but nice for a change of pace.
Nice little store with a great selection. So glad they had City Circle Bakery almond croissants when I was last there. Eaay parking.
Stepping through the door at Wildwood Market feels like stepping back in time three quarters of a century.Inside a converted garage, youβll find shelves and displays of fresh, local and small-batch products β breads and treats baked up the street; coffees roasted across town; flowers, produce, meats and dairy products from nearby farms; plus so much more. Each day, they take the best of those ingredients and feature them in a sandwich and salad along with brewed coffee and kombucha on tap.Behind the counter, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Theyβre also very knowledgeable about the products they sell, in particular the local ones.I imagine at one time every neighborhood had a quaint little market just like this. Today, itβs a rare treasure youβll only find in Fountain Square.
5 stars all around! Staff knowledge and service is incredible. They can always help you find what youβre looking for and if you have a specific item request they go above and beyond to help you get it. Also amidst the pandemic theyβve continually pivoted to keep their guests and staff safe. They havenβt been making sandwiches anymore but theyβve started doing more packaged foods like pimento cheese and caramelized onion dip. If you have not had the pimento cheese you do not know what youβre missing! I would say itβs the best this nation has ever seen. Do yourself a favor and try some!
Best market outside the Wild.Fantastic company. Support them! Eat some soup too β€
Nice store well stocked
Great croissants and curry chicken salad!
Love this place. We try to get items here as much as possible. They sell the best margarita mix which beats everyone Ive ever tried. Beautiful flowers as well.
You cant ask for better service or selection in a small, unique specialty grocery store. Craig and staff have done an amazing job of navigating months of Pandemic challenges with customer and employee safety as a top priority. If you have never been, your first and subsequent visits wont disappoint!
It may be a small shop, but yet they somehow manage to offer an amazing variety, including lots of local favorites!
Where do I start? The flowers? The produce? The local coffee? The sammies? Oh I could carry on for days on how wonderful the small local grocery is. Use mercato.com and order ahead.
Great local grocery with most of the essentials!
Great market! Focusing on local suppliers.
JS lobster truck did NOT disappoint! Cant wait for the brick n mortor to open next yearπ
I always always always go here to get my eggs. The bread is always fresh and local too. I canβt say Iβve been disappointed by anything Iβve bought here!
I go here with my kids to get sandwiches on the weekend. This place is great!
Oh my goodness. I just moved back to Indy and I love this little market. For lunch they offer a sandwich, salad and soup option. Just one for each and it changes daily but everything is really fresh and healthy. The market has a nice variety of foods, produce, etc. Just wish I lived closer!
This used to be my favorite grocery.I was so sad today when I got home I found that they gave me soft and bruised apples (ready for compost), and a beat up zucchini with gouges all over it.I dont understand.
The space is cozy, which means they dont have room for everything you might want, ND inviting, because they have things you didnt know you needed! Daily lunch offerings are always delicious. The staff are delightful if you take a little time tonchat.
Has a different sandwich of the day, everyday, for two-and-a-half years and have never repeated... amazing. Also the best grab and go flowers in town by @bloomsbywildwood Pick up fresh bread? Yes. Meats from Smoking Goose? Yep. Just get here already!
Canβt say enough good things about this place. I watch their Social Media feed daily to see what the sandwich is for the day. Always creative and fresh. Staff is super friendly and the location is quick to stop in and grab lunch.
Think of it as a convenience store for people concerned about healthier, sustainable food options. Due to their limited space they are not able to buy in large quantities so some of their prices are a little higher, but not all. It is great to have on the neighborhood so you dont have to drag yourself out to one of the larger, farther away sustainable leaning for markets.
They offer a single sandwich or salad for lunch Monday through Friday, offering changes daily. On Saturday they have a breakfast sandwich, which is super tasty. At $8 per item its a bit much for an everyday spot.Otherwise they are a locally sourced market, they try and source it all from Indiana. Some stuff is from Illinois or Michigan if they cant find a supplier. Food items are high quality with the price to match.
Every time I visit Indianapolis, I make a point to stop by this local grocer to pick up fresh ingredients for dinner. The deli is superb if you need a charcuterie platter, and the produce and bread options are fresh. Worth the trip!
Love love LOVE Wildwood. They are my go-to for lunch and my produce.
A gem of a local grocery store, deli, and cheese shop. If you are looking for locally grown or produced goods, this place has them. Located in an old garage, this market has a small but nicely cultivated selection of fresh and dried goods, ranging from bell peppers to locally raised steaks in their freezer section. Locally roasted coffees share a shelf with herbs, spices, sauces, and pastas. The deli counter offers up a daily sandwich, salad, or soup that really push the flavor up to the next level and for extremely reasonable prices. Think $8 for an awesome sandwich made with local deli meats, cheeses, and bread.A huge plus for me is the excellent selection of locally roasted coffees. This is one stop shopping for me at its best. I highly recommend you stop in for a sandwich, some fresh coffee, or just to look around. You wont be disappointed.
This place is small, but has a great selection of local produce and natural products, along with a delicious rotating sandwich and lunch menu. The staff are friendly and helpful. Stop in and see how great Wildwood is for yourself next time youre in Fountain Square!
Friendly, helpful, informative staff. My first visit. Great soup, sandwich, and pastry. And I enjoyed the shady outdoor seating.
A Fountain Square staple. I love this place and am always able to find what I am looking for. The staff are friendly and helpful and I always enjoy the fresh, local produce. Grab a breakfast sandwich on Saturday mornings; you wont be disappointed.
I eat at this place at least once a week. Prices are not unreasonable. Food taste fresh and its operated by a very friendly staff! I dont know what Id do without them being in the neighborhood.
If you are looking for a specialty ingredient they probably have. Cute store and food place. You must stop in.
My wife and I stopped in on a whim just to check out the store, and ended up getting an entire charcuterie board as well as several really fun and unique grocery items. We got some Iberico ham, some Intelligentsia Coffee beans, and some fresh bread. The selection here is perfectly sized for the style and every item feels like the best version of that product, including a lot of local items itβs hard to find elsewhere.
Lots of tasty treats. A well selected choice of very fine artisan cured meats and cheeses. All manner of quality groceries. Beautiful cut flower bouquets.
Very tiny and eclectic. But the items being sold are high quality. Beautiful flowers, delicious food. Fountain square area has really changed into a great destination.
Easily the best lunch sandwiches and salads anywhere close to downtown. Also a great selection of local, organic, and overall great for you foods and products.Carries seasonal flowers, fruits, and anything else you can imagine.A true asset to Fountain Square.
Great neighborhood market. Lots of unique items mixed in with all the necessaries. Robust cheese and meat selection and daily lunch menu. You can also get coffee and croissant for breakfast.
Cute, friendly staff, and unusual products. Food and drinks. Flowers were GORGEOUS! Check them out soon!
Cute little market with organic produce, beverages, coffee and food. Parking is free and accessible in their lot. Gluten free and vegan options available. Its right off the Cultural Trail as well. EBT is accepted as well.
Wow! Beautiful thoughtfulness went into this place! Just their soup (black bean) and brad were absolutely fantastic. Very much of a high expectations/out of state/nicer experience. Thank you!
Great sandwiches and a lot of other awesome stuff!
Very nice place! Good vibes, awesome seating area, fresh produce, and free water! Ill be visiting again for sure. :)
Great little shop. Love all the cheeses. They will let you sample most before you buy. Also they have a limited lunch menu that changes daily. But dont wait to late for lunch they do sell out!
What is there not to love about this little gem?! They have the absolute best sandwiches, soups and salads.
Love everyone that works here and cheese plates. I have a gift card with 3 dollars left on it, really hoping Craig will bump it up to 4.
Very well executed sandwiches, extremely fresh and healthy ingredients, the Mushroom Gorgonzola soup is to die for. And if all of this wasnt enough, their products are sourced locally. Best product for the price. I love it!
Always something different and fresh, all locally sourced ingredients in their rotating menu. Its a good spot to enjoy the sunshine with their patio and open storefront seating.
Local produce, meats, ice cream, coffee - a great place. They also have a menu of soups and sandwiches. Wonderful!
Market of electic and good sandwiches. Only one sandwich made each day. When sold out, thats it. Worth patronizing.
A small boutique grocery with some very unique for choices. Lots of local, organic, vegetarian/vegan, and other specialty items. Plus the sandwiches are just amazing.
This is a fantastic local shop that makes my neighborhood that much better. Their cheese counter and fresh vegetables are worth stopping for daily.
Something brewing at this place. Nice folks providing some interesting goods.
Delicious lunch sandwiches made with high quality ingredients and a decent assortment of grocery items as well. Prices may seem high but here you definitely get your moneys worth, highly recommended!
Nice people and nice price
Quaint small market with good sandwiches.
Always pleasant and helpful staff; delicious soups; perfect local fresh vegetables and my fave decaf beans from Blue Mind
An eclectic selection of local goods, cheeses, meats, and produce. This place is very small though so you cant do a major grocery shopping excursion here
The quality, customer service are unmatched.
Unique goods, delicious salads each week, amazing sandwiches each day, and so many local items!
A nice local market in the Ft. Square area. They have locally sourced food as well as a good selection for their daily lunch special.
I love this Health Market ! They have everything grown under the sun ! Wonderful selections and such a friendly environment ! Makes grocery shopping a pleasure ~
Neat place, great food. Really enjoyed the pour over coffee I had this trip.
Got a sandwich here, was crazy good! Very unique, love the food and the market.
Great place to buy rawhoney comb ! Love their organic ice cream
Really committed to providing local, high quality groceries. Also, their deli is incredible
This place has it all. Great staff, very helpful!
For the size of the store they have amazing variety and for the quality of the products they have great prices. My one downside is how many of their daily sandwiches have mayo or something similar as the chosen condiment.
Very eclectic shop, wonderful collection of herbs, spices, Artisan breads.
Thoughtful people working to sell quality products; happy to have this place in Fountain Square.
Awesome local grocery store with a wide variety of local produce and products!
Great place to go for a good healthy lunch in fountain square
