The outside worn out and not representative of what youll find inside. There is a grocery with tons of unique items for sale. And the honey section is astounding! There are so many global honey choices that even the most discerning queen bee would be impressed. We ordered a meat platter and shared it between two of us. Everything was delicious. There isnt much in the way of service, and you might run into some language barriers, but the food was worth it.
Amazing little market and restaurant. I shop here weekly and am constantly impressed by the selection of quality products packed into such a small store. Mecca has a fantastic Olive, and olive oil selection as well as house-made flat-bread including Injeera, the halal butcher, small fresh produce selection, dairy case and lots of spices and shelf-stable goods put it over the top.I have yet to eat at the restaurant but the smells always make my mouth water when I’m there.I’ll keep going back!
One of the best Middle eastern food. I have dealed with many restaurants in the neighborhood but Mecca restaurants is different. Ali and Salah best people you can deal with and trusted. If you want to experience a middle eastern food i recommend them.
My husband and I shop here regularly for our meat and we almost always go in to the restaurant for a meal. We also use door dash to order meals. The only meal I ever get is the chicken mendi. Its really good, but you have to order it early or your out of luck. And the last couple days we have realized it is no longer on the door dash menu. Come on guys, make enough chicken mendi to get through the day. If its that popular that you run out, I would think you would compensate for that by preparing more, wouldnt you? But regardless of that, it is an awesome place for groceries and a quick meal.
(This review is for the restaurant which is inside the market) Food is good but service is very subpar. If youre willing to put up with some confused conversation and extremely long wait times, definitely come visit. This is Yemeni restaurant with lots of meat options and big platters to share. I recommend a Shawarma sandwich. The Mendi and Mixed Meat Platter was good too. The food seemed to have a bit too much salt in my opinion, but overall it was pretty good.
This is my first time ever writing a review I went to Mecca market and mashallah it was a amazing experience I felt like I was home and the owner is really awesome
High quality, Great market, Nice food. very good Costomer service.
This is an authentic Islamic Market and their pita bread is baked fresh onsite and is absolutely delicious I will go out of my way to go there to get their pita bread very reasonable prices The owner was very friendly and they cater to all without restrictionsfor they specialize in either the large approx pizza size arabic bread or the smaller disk sized loaves. I believe they also host an halel butcher shop and a full and complete Arabic Market they even have a restaurant where you can eat on site I highly recommend this place
Awesome little place. Its not fancy on the outside, but it has a lot of charm. The food rocked, the prices are definitely not bad considering how they operate. I kind of imagine it more like a take out place with seating. The cook was cool and the server girl was sweet. Some of the grilled meats were a bit more dry than most Americans might be used it, so imagine its a mix between grilled meat and jerky. Rice is really good and very aromatic. Portions are varied with a lot of that delicious rice. The store is great and surprisingly cheap for being overseas food. Love this place
Great mediterranean market
The store part isn’t too bad. Although when ordering at the restaurant, my husband and I clearly stated what we wanted to eat. We waited for 30 minutes only for the cashier/waiter to bring out a completely different dish. We ended up just leaving.
Wonderful food and good portion sizes for the price. Extremely great service. My waiter was also the cook, and he was visibly proud when I told him how delicious the food was. As a chef, its great to see others love their work and be happy about it. It really comes through in the food. If youre a fan of Middle Eastern and Arabic food or want to try it, come give this place a try. The grocery store part and had some really good stuff!
Awesome place for groceries and halal meat. They also sell hookah flavor, coals and hookahs.I would highly recommend their fresh baked flat bread. If you get it hot it is amazing!
Very cool place. trying out new middle eastern recipes, had everything we needed!
I love the Mecca market. It is a hidden gem on the west side. It also has a restaurant that has the best rice I have ever tasted. The lamb is cooked perfectly and is amazing!! They have an extensive menu, that I cant wait to try. They make Naan freshly baked and is just delish!! If you are lucky you can get it hot out of the oven!
This is my first visit to this food place. Food was so good as I was anticipating
Man this place is so amazing. I love the atmosphere and the food quality. Not many places do, but in my case I was able to customize my meal and the attachments that come with it 😂🤣🌹
Love Mecca Market. They have everything I need. Ive been there for breakfast and lunch and their food is amazing. Sometimes there is a wait time if their busy. But I dont mind waiting because in the end Im getting fresh, healthy, and yummy food.
We bought goat from this guys and spend 4 our to cook it’s was still raw . When I called him they laughed don’t buy goat from them
Restaurant is very dirty and they food is soo bad! Don’t kill your self !
This is a Middle Eastern grocery with a cafe. You can find a pretty wide selection of spices, dried goods and Middle Eastern foods. They also sell cookware, colognes, and store made cookies and treats. I was made to feel very welcome. I was looking for a specific spice, sumac, which I found. I noted that among the cookware were tagines, I had seen them on Bizarre Foods but didnt think Id seen them elsewhere. If you are looking for ultra modern grocery, this is more like a neighbourhood market. One that Ill go back too on my next spice hunt.
I am a customer in this store since I moved to Indiana. I love everything things they got all the Moroccan stuff I cant find anywhere else. I loved the restaurant they had in the past ...the stuff was nice and professional ....but the new restaurant they have is Ok I use to order a Mashawi dish that was 24.99$ which is fine ...so today I came in I was looking at the menu and guess what the same dish I am ordering for months they just put a sticker on the old price and now its 29.99$ ..so the little boy removed the sticker and told me thats the new price ...so he called another employee who suppose to have more knowledge and I asked why they changed the price ...as a customer I have the right to know why ?? And what changed on that dish ??? ...so his answer was nothing just changed the price ....😏😏 😏 so I left I got a delicious shawarma from mass ave ..... for me an additional $5 on a dish with no extra food or anything is not acceptable ...plus no explanation is not working....so I will never ever get food form them and I will share my experience with family and friends....
This market is very clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming here again.
Cheap and affordable for like somalian and arabian foods, drinks, perfumes/clone, henna, and house decors. Amazing place to go to and also eat from.
Not too bad store .Has a variety of different products from North Africa, middle east and Turkish product.
Great place with great great service and real good ethics
Complete internatl greatness and proper food and cultural nutrition
Good location, plenty of parking, good service, food is amazing! The only reason I wont give the 5 stars is because I tried the buffet (only on Fridays) and it wasnt enough food, I didnt get to try a lot of things because most of it was gone even though it was early and still had to pay $21.00 for each person.
Tasty food and exceptional service. I was really craving kofta kebab and was a bit disappointed nothing like that was on the menu. The food was still delicious, and when I finished my rice, the cook asked me if Id like more, lol.
This a store where you will love and never forget this place for the rest of your lives.!!!!:))))
Good food and organized market but I wouldn’t recommend it for dine in option, especially for families.
Great variety of foodFriendly peopleNicely priced items
Honestly lamb haneeth was better than OK also we got a mix platter combination of overcooked dry meats had 4 pieces of chix kebab 4 pieces of lamb and 4 skewer of kofta on a bed of rice, small hummus finally one piece of bread. All 49.00 dollars. Frankly I dont find it was worth the price. No welcoming smiling faces no hospitality, as conclusion our experience was lack of middle eastern hospitality and the lack of food quality. Gave 3 stars for the sake of their efforts for making the food. Wont be back...
Love this food nice size Portions season perfectly very good I will visit this place every time I come to Indianapolis
A good place to grab a delicious Shewarma and fresh baked bread at a bargain of a price
So gross not clean at all and Im vegetarian and they added meat to my food I asked from the beginning Im vegetarian and can you make sure that no meat in my food... my table wasnt clean and they were mold and bugs there.

Love the food there. and the prices are reasonable.
Everything is fresh just trying and will see
We were excited to try this place based on the menu. I phoned the order in for take out they said it would be ready in 1/2 hour. I showed up on time and waited another 15 minutes. A coworker overheard my order and showed up while I was there. The employees seemed unorganized. I didnt check the food before leaving, When I brought it home to my family and opened it all we could do was laugh. We ordered the Beef, Lamb, and chicken kebab, meals. It looked like someone dropped dried nuggets of something on a pile of plain rice with a half tomato (skin flaking off) and old onion halves in the corner. We gave it a shot but couldnt do it. The Falafel seemed like it was premade and cold. $31 down the toilet. The next day my coworker said his food wasnt good and wouldnt return, we threw the menu out of our binder.
This place has all the essentials for your Arabic traditional dish and the prices are low compared to Arabic stores in the east cost .

I like to come here but I got very upset because the African guy he gives me a good ground beef when i meet the palestinian guy he trick me he mixed fresh ground beef with the old one too much grease in it hard to chew it and very bad smell I swear to God today I had my lunch outside if my house because the product makes my home very bad smell seriously I have two friends same thing happened to them if I paid for ground beef means only steak no grease adding
I didnt like the yellow sauce on my lamb. Rice was dry and didnt have any flavor.
