I came into the store not sure if I wanted a Macbook or a tablet w/ keyboard. I spoke with the rep (so sad I didn’t get his name) and told him my needs. Without being persuasive or trying to sell me he told me a tablet would work just fine but that a laptop would work best. He was very informative and I left happy! Thank you guys so much.

Prob. wont go back to the keystone Apple store for future tech problems after my wonderful experience with THIS Mac experience. The staff was incredibly friendly & knowledgeable. I felt like my conversation was with a friend rather than someone who is belittling my computer brains. Their ability to work with my schedule and be flexible was awesome, much appreciated. The environment of the store itself is clean, even staff that didn’t directly help me were also friendly. Jasmine specifically provided incredible service! Not that I want to put more $$$$$ into my devices, but whatever the diagnosis of my Mac turns out to be, Mac Experience can have it all.

I had to have my under-warranty keyboard repaired, and they did it quickly & efficiently. They had to order parts, but after my computer was diagnosed, it was ready for me to pick up in a week.Considering theyre not the Apple store & Apple for whatever reason wont open their stores again, this is pretty good. They were communicative & efficient. Also: a lot of the low-star ratings I saw before going in were complaining about people not wearing masks - I was in a total of 3 times & every time I went in, every employee I saw had masks on.All things considered, would recommend.

Spent 20 minutes trying to up sell me to buy a new computer from them when I repeatedly said I just wanted them to replace my hard drive and anything else that was needed, which we determined to just be a battery. Then said that they don’t stock or have vendor access for the batteries, I get it it’s an old computer but l can get one off amazon and they could just as easily, but they won’t install anything I provide nor will they order from any non established vendors. This is what I get trying to support a semi local business rather than just paying Apple to do it. Your commitment to your vendor cost you, per your quote, a “$300 minimum” hard drive repair plus whatever the battery service charge would have been plus whatever you wanted to mark up the battery cost. Solid business model

Very clean and well-run store. I made an appointment through Apple’s website and they were a little behind schedule because they were very busy, but it was only a few extra minutes and not a big deal. The staff was very helpful, they asked me questions in simple terms that I could understand. They were also very honest with me when we found out my problem was not worth fixing because it was cheaper to simply buy a new laptop since mine was completely fried. They are definitely a little pricey, as it’s $70 to have someone even look at your machine, with data recovery fees being even higher. However, should I ever need their services again I would probably return because they were definitely helpful.

When the person I spoke to was making small talk I replied, as any person would. But his response was awfully rude for some apparent reason. At first I didn’t think anything of it but it was persistent throughout my time there. The customer service was terrible. Would not recommend (0/5 if I could). I am surprised that this happened because usually the people here are cordial. But after this experience I will not be using them any longer. Customer service is a critical part of any business and there is a certain standard that is not met at this establishment.

Perhaps the quality of service is good, however, my experience working with the front-end was such that I never wanted to find out. From a guy at the front counter exerting heavy sighs out of frustration as a result of not having the training and mentorship to perform his role... to the less-than manager with not a hint of what customer service means. The saving grace for this place are the two young ladies that greet you at check in. Each is kind, polite, and smile.

Extremely disappointed and would recommend going to a different business if you want fair and equitable service. We brought in a MAC Pro to repair and paid the deposit for service and was informed of a charge for priority service and paid the deposit for that as well. They informed us that with our Apple Care that the service would be a total of $200. They sent an email in a few days saying it would now by an additional $300 to have it repaired. We told them to not fix it and we would pick it up and was informed on the phone twice that we would receive 100% of my money back. Then, when we picked it up they said that the priority service was not refundable, which was the first time ever mentioned to us and that they would not refund that deposit even though the computer was not fixed. I am shocked by the lack of caring, honesty and empathy that this store has toward its customers.

Apple redirected me here for an issue under warranty and they tried to hit me with a $69 charge. This reflects poorly on Apple actually, since their inability to handle appointments is making MacExperience an auxiliary option, which is not the true Apple experience by any means - rather an overpriced third party attempt with a bunch of zombies that do not know how to respond like humans.

They don’t honor Apple schedule appointment times and the manager prefers to NOT wear a mask. After waiting 22 minutes canceled the appointment. Even if Apple requires a little longer wait to service highly recommend waiting the additional time than supporting this business.Since I cannot respond to your response I’m editing my initial post......If you want your customers to have patience, I advise that you honor your scheduled appointments in front of walkins or you should clearly display a sign at the door that says we don’t honor scheduled appointments if walk ins come in, first come first serve. There’s no excuse for anyone working at that store not wearing a mask, i was wearing one and could exercise my medical waiver and not wear one because of lung issue but I don’t do that.

I took my Macbook Pro in for a free diagnostic check knowing that my display only had a minor issue (not cracked or broken as it works with and HDMI hook-up) and was most likely an easy fix. They asked me to pay a non-refundable fee of $75 just to put my computer in a queue to be looked at for a 5 week wait minimum where they would then tell me the price to fix on top of the pay to have them hold onto it for me. I drove my laptop to UbreakIfix a mile down the road where they power cycled it and fixed it that way - free of charge in less than 3 minutes! I was looking at $275-$350 plus a 5-7 week wait. Instead it cost me $0 and took 3 minutes. Im using my Macbook as we speak to type this. Wild times we live in, friends. Dont get scammed at this business. This knockoff store is an absolute waste of time. Save yourself the headache and contact Apple directly. ”Mac Experience” has terribly long wait times, incompetent customer service workers, who look to vent and talk down to paying customers. They rarely have parts in stock and quote exceeding lengthy repairs and exuberant repair costs.I left their store and contacted Apple directly. I explained what I experienced at ”Mac Experience, ” and Apple honored a one-time fee waiver for a device replacement for all of the troubles, under my Apple care+ worth $99. Everyone should do the same. In the four hours, I was physically present at the store after having left my device in the morning. I counted eight customers leave angry, annoyed, and frustrated. Hence, the less than stellar, barely one star is acceptable.

The manager told me he felt the customers could take care of themselves, and that since I had a mask I was protected. I explained that the mask protects the wearer, and that as customers we would appreciate stores who choose to take precautions to protect both their employees and their customers, that it is science and public health, not politics which should be dictating our actions here. He dismissed me, saying he would take it under advisement. I told him he would not have my business and left.

Unfortunately I didn’t have to walk into the store to recognize what a complete rip off this store is. SAVE your money! On top of the $70 fee for the store to look at your device, it takes nearly 3-4 weeks until they get to the device to look at repairs. Simply needed a battery replacement. Told me it would cost $500-700 to replace my battery when I can send my computer into apple free of charge and only pay $130. I was very alarmed to see two employees without face coverings of any kind and two more employees with masks down below their noses today. When I called from the parking lot to ask about curbside service, I asked why the employees were not abiding by the state-wide mask mandate. The person who answered said that some employees had medical conditions that prevented them from wearing face masks. After some research, Ive learned that medical professionals say there arent any conditions, aside from severe skin burns, that should prevent someone from wearing a mask. While it can be uncomfortable, masks do not prevent the intake of oxygen. However, if there is an accessibility concern, those employees could still wear a face shield or other covering. One of the unmasked employees wasnt even behind the clear partition today. As for the two who had their masks down below their noses, Im not sure why that was acceptable. When I was in the store last month, after the county-wide mask mandate was in effect, I saw two employees enter the main store from the back room who did not have masks on. I also saw a customer enter without one. When employees didnt say anything to that customer, I offered to get that customer an extra mask from my car. One of the employees cut me off and told the other customer that they didnt have to wear one if they didnt want to.Overall, Im concerned about the safety of this stores employees and customers, and I wont be going back. I left the store thinking there was no issue other than the internet server I was using, just to come home with the same issue. When I called the manager he suggested that I again drive the 2 hours again for them to do the testing that would take 4 days just for diagnostics with a $60 charge. This stores management lacks respect for their customers. The confidence that their product is better due to statistics does not mean that making it more difficult for your customers is acceptable. Due to lack of other Apple locations in the Indianapolis area, I will no longer invest in this vintage mac or any other mac products. In a nutshell, I did not appreciate the conversation with management. My concerns were interrupted with a matter of fact attitude. I found it very disrespectful.

I have been a customer of The Mac Experience since around 2002 or so. The east side store was a nice a place, the people were kind. The downtown location was very good. The Castleton store lacks good customer service. Ive read some of the other reviews and I agree that the people at this location do not make you feel like you are a valuable customer. In addition, I would recommend against purchasing adaptors and other small devices from this store. Go to Best Buy.In Oct, 2017, I bought two video adaptors - 1 from this location and one from Best Buy. The Best Buy product is still working. The Mac Exp, adapter has failed twice. The Mac Exp. would not replace the defective product, saying it was outside the 2 month warranty (it was less than 3 months). No effort to resolve this or make me happy, just a recitation of the warranty policy.I have referred several people to the Mac Exp,. but I cannot do it anymore because they dont stand by their products and they dont make an effort to resolve problems.

I would never consider going back to this place. Two years ago I took my iMac there for a repair. The charge was $300 and after two days I realized I still had problems with it. i telephoned and asked to speak with the person who had repaired it and I was told he was too busy to speak with me. Even after I paid $300? Yes, was the reply. I was told to bring the heavy iMac back in. I said no thanks and washed my hands of them as they had of me. Of course they had my $300 and I had an iMac that was the same as when I took it in! Thanks, MacExperience, I wont darken your door ever!

Don’t ever go to this place!!! Drove over an hour to get here with appointment for battery change. Website for Apple Support says $29.95. Got here and was told they charge another $49.95 to change the battery. Sent email after I left to arrive saying this, but no warning before I booked appointment. General Manager Kevin does not feel it is their responsibility to notify you in advance. Refused to acknowledge that I will now have to drive over two hours round-trip and should have been told first.

Whatever you do, do NOT take your computer here. They told me it would be $600 to repair my broken logic board and top case and when I went to pick it up (after more then double the expected time had passed), they told me it would be $800. So they increased the price over what they quoted me by over $200. Also, they scratched up the whole top of my Macbook Pro. It was also completely covered in dust. I asked them if I could have some type of discount due to the scratch and they flat out refused. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me he would get back to me and never did. So my computer works, but it looks awful. These people are dishonest and will scratch your computer. Whatever you do, dont go here. Youre better off to just pay the slightly higher rate for the Apple store to do the repair because at least they are more careful with your belongings.

Don’t waste your time. They will have open appointments, quite a few, however they only are able to send on for Warranty work. They ar not able to work on anything onsite, not able to override the Apple System in order to switch out a product that perhaps is just out of warranty, but exceptions created. Wait, be patient and get into an actual Apple store.

Nightmare experience. My computer waited 5 business days in the queue. Then it took them 2 days to run diagnostics, which is absurd. THEN, they were going to charge me even though the machine was under warranty and Apple Care.I took it into the Apple store and they fixed it same day. MacExperience is ridiculously overpriced and takes forever. I will never darken their door again.

My macbook had a failed hard drive, and they recovered the data and replaced the hard drive for me quickly and painlessly. Replacing it via the Apple store would have taken 5-7 days but because they had my part in stock, it only took a few hours. Everyones extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all your questions (also, the guy behind the counters real cute).

Took my IMac in on Thurs, they called me the next day after finding a replacement logic board in stock.Picking it up on Monday and back in business. Well worth the $600 to fix and get my edit system running so quickly. This is the 2nd time they have fixed things and returned to me in less than 3 days. Great place for service or to buy from! Try that at the Apple store!

The Mac Store in the mall is a Zoo, but at least they will fix your computer.Took my Macbook Pro in with an issue with my track pad. Waited 5 days to hear back from a tech. Finally, I called and these experts informed me that the tests they had ran, which most likely took max 30 minutes to run, showed there was nothing wrong with my laptop. When I got the laptop home it had the same issue with my track pad. Its like I paid them $60.00 to baby sit my Macbook Pro.

Terrible experience. Went in to have phone looked at because of camera issues related to 6+ and was told that while the phone didnt fit into the serial number range it was still under warranty and I could come back two days later when they had an opening to repair Roger, Tech Guy even verified that there was a replacement in house so i wouldnt make a wasted trip.. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment the counter kid said that they wouldnt fix it because it didnt fit into the serial number range and they would have to ship my phone in for repairs that will take 7 -10 days.I dont live next to this store, Steve the counter kid made no effort for a solution, just shrugged his shoulders. Im sure the owner Joel Reed is very specific when it comes to billing for the labor. I hope that I can recover some of the time i wasted in traveling to the store to get my phone fixed.I guess if you are looking to deal with a company that employs personal to work with the public with the aptitude of 16 year old then come here...youll enjoy the frustration

MacExperience is fantastic. I took my 27 iMac in, fearing I had essentially bricked it when I installed an SSD. It turned out to be a RAM compatibility issue, but they did discover while they had it open that the video cable had been damaged and replaced it with one they had in their shop. I opted for the expedited service, and they turned the job around really quickly. Ill definitely go to them first with any Mac issues that are out of my depth.

Came here over the summer to have them back up my MacBook Pro to an external hard drive and was almost charged $200. That being said, I took my business else where. No one should be charged that much for such a simple service... Went somewhere else and got it done for $20.

I give this place 1 count them 1 star. I would have given them 0 if they would have allowed me to post with 0 stars. This was the most awful MacExperience I have ever had. Not only did they give me the run around but they also gave Apple Care the run around too. It was so bad that Apple Care told me that they were not a true Apple Store and I would get better customer service at their other Real Apple Store--Apple Care made the accommodations and WOW was I impressed! Not only did I get my phone fixed but my iPad too (plus I bought some other supplies). I dont mind spending money when I know I am being respected and appreciated. Apple you will always have my business--MacExperience not so much!

Horrible experience! I took my 6 year-old Macbook Pro in for upgrades to the RAM and a solid state hard drive, and when returned the computers wifi device was broken beyond repair. MacExperience refused to accept any level of accountability for this. I then purchased a usb wifi device from them and that also did not work. They did take a return on the usb device (since it was brand new), but I am out over 500 dollars for the purchase a new Logic Board from Apple. NEVER take your computer to these people!
