Traveled to Indy for a weekend getaway and woke up starving after the Colts Thursday night game! So thankful I found this place on Google! The staff is super friendly, the place is very clean, and the food is delicious! You get a good bang for your buck too! I ordered Santa Fe Fritata with pancakes and a chocolate peanut butter cup latte. My wife ordered the breakfast Mac and cheese which included an egg on top with a salted caramel latte and green tea with honey. Everything was made perfectly! Best brunch we’ve had in awhile!! Highly recommended if you are ever in the area!
Visited July 18, 2021We walk in, was seated immediately. The place was clean staff was friendly food was good*.* there was some concerns, one side of gravy. Can you think of a side of gravy you don’t think of a smidgen. What gravy we did get was flavorful and good. The biscuit is better with gravy. It’s dry. Jelly doesn’t add any flavor to the biscuit.I asked for egg whites to be cooked thoroughly, no running white. I receive running weights. So this is the ultimate test of a cook who can cook eggs and he/she failed. The hot cocoa we ordered didn’t seem to have chocolate flavor, an off taste.Wasn’t as strong as we was hoping it would be. After we finished the coco look like the syrup went to the bottom; so maybe stir your hot cocoa to get the ultimate flavor.Overall we would eat here again and again and again. I must visit if you’re visiting downtown Indy.
Brunch was very tasty & they have some unique plates to choose from. I had the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes where they sliced up a Cinnamon roll. I just wish I had received 2 because it was so good. Another in my party ordered the Chicken & Waffles. The sunny side egg on the chicken was a game changer. Yummy.
I recently came to Yolk for brunch with a friend to try it out since Ive never been. Our experience overall was decent. However, a couple flaws: To begin, at the start, it took a bit longer than expected for our waiter to get our drink order. Then we placed our food order. I got the Chicken & Waffles since thats one of my favorite brunch meals. My friend got the Eggs Benedict. Our food came out in a timely manner, and overall, the chicken and waffles I had was AMAZING! However, on the other hand, my friend said the eggs Benedict was not the greatest.I must say my meal only was outstanding and that I most likely will make a return here.
This place used to be my favorite place and everything is tasty and fresh. I have done in there and order through Grubhub many times. This morning I ordered build your own skillet and got really disappointed by the food quality and the taste. I have talked to the manager and found out they use frozen asparagus to make their food, which is fine. But as a brunch place who marketed themselves as fresh, should they at least check the food quality no matter it is fresh or frozen? The asparagus is so old and dry, hard to chew and tasted sour, so disgusting. Also, I found the portion size is much smaller compared to before, and the manager informed me that they started to use new measurement for 1oz of their food and told me they were giving people more than it should have been. I totally understand that, but I also wondering is that something they should do at the first place to make things follow the stand and measure food portion accurately?
Yolk was a nice quit and quick restaurant. This restaurant is tucked away to the right of The Alexander Hotel, keep an eye out..The food was good and the service wasnt the best but wasnt the worst, it seemed to busy for our waitress but the other team members helped pick up the excess work to keep everyone happy.10 being the best- 1 being the worstService Rating: 8Food Rating: 7.5Price Rating: 6
The chicken and waffles are delicious! So nice, I tried them twice. There’s usually a wait on the weekends but it was more than worth it. Good portions, great service, if you’re considering going, go!
Ordered door dash. Got the food in a timely manner but wasn’t happy with the food that I got. Potatoes had no flavor, pancakes were too dense, omelet was runny. I won’t be ordering from them anymore. There’s better tasting food at Metro Diner & Le Peep. The only reason why I “tried” Yolk was because they had a vegan sausage option as I don’t eat meat. 👎🏽
Food was good. Came here to leave a review for the staff. The overall dining experience was truly enhanced by James. The attention to detail, patience, and kindness were a pleasure. I would return here.
I have to be honest here, there is one of the best breakfast restaurants that I have ever tried. I tasted the South Beach Pineapples it tastes delicious, definitely would recommend it. Another dish that I like is the avocado toast. It is so buttery .I really liked the smoked salmon with avocado. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Nice restaurant in a very nice part of downtown. Food we had was very good. Time from ordering and meal served was a bit slow. We were still taken care of often. Food was hot as it should have been. Lake of help was probably the cause.
I usually give a 5 star review for a good quality restaurant and although this was a good spot the service was not phenomenal. The service was definitely above average but I sort of got a vibe from our server that she didn’t really care all that much. That being said the food was good and I left feeling like I wanted to lay down and take a nap. Red velvet French toast was great super rich but still great. Smoked salmon eggs Benedict was decent.
23 minute wait at 1030am on Saturday. Waiter was writing down the orders. But he forgot or couldnt read his writing....not sure but he came back twice to make sure of the order. Food was correct but I was very disappointed with the chicken and waffles. Chicken breast was really good except it hadnt been trimmed correctly and I had to cut hunks of fat from it (and deep fried hunks of fat are just gross). The waffles were small rounds about 21/2 inches across and the menu doesnt tell you that. They were over cooked and cold. Butter was cold and hard. Egg was cooked as ordered. Hubbys omelet was good. Waiter did come by several times and refilled coffee, water, tea. 2 breakfast meals, tea & coffee were $42.00. Tip was $8.40. Not worth it. Im pretty sure we were over charged but they can keep it.
Excellent place for breakfast and the service was remarkable! From fresh avocado, scrumptious grits, and the the barista coffee selection...this is THE place to go for a wonderfully fresh breakfast! BTW our waitress was amazing! Ask for Steph from South Haven! Did not ask for large print menu. Ate with family so the read menu to me. (Please 👍🏽my review)
Holy cow — that cinnamon roll French toast! All the sweet breakfast options I’ve tried here are truly amazing. From the nutty monkey cakes to the red velvet French toast, they’re all rich, decadent and delicious. There’s even a featured sweet cake that changes regularly. I also appreciate that you can have real maple syrup (for a charge) which is pretty rare. Sweet breakfasts are clearly their main thing.Yet there’s still plenty of options to enjoy a healthier breakfast here. Any of the scrambles or the HUGE omelets can be made with egg whites. And there’s a great variety of veggies to add in to their dishes.Again, they have lots of delicious fresh juices, though they’re a bit pricey. Their regular brewed coffee is not great, though it gets the job done.We typically sit at the bar where we like interacting with the staff. Even when the place is very busy, they’re always friendly.
Guys, this place is amazing. My kid is picky, but she loved this place (especially the potatoes). Prices are reasonable, friendly staff, nice dining environment. This place can get very busy, so keep that in mind. It would be nice if there were vegan options.
Great food. Great food.I loved seeing all the workers wear a mask. Thank you!
Delicious breakfast! I had the orange strawberry juice 🍊 🍓 with the chicken with bacon waffles and it was so yummy. The waffles had tons of flavor and the bacon in it was perfect! The juice was very sweet but no more than you expect from a fruit juice. My parents had omlettes and they loved theirs too. Would come back here again for sure!
The sheer amount of eggs Benedict variations they have is reason enough to come here. Phenomenal food.
The wait time (45 mins) was pretty accurate for the influx of people due to the football game and other activities downtown. We parked in the garage, $5/hr. Food came quick, coffee was good, pancakes not the best but overall the food was good.
Very good. Quality ingredients. I got a country skillet with pancakes and it did not disappoint. James was great too. He gave great suggestions and was so nice. My #1 breaky in Indy.
1st time trying and wont be back... 40 min wait, which is fine, but then after order was taken waited another 30 min and food came out cold. They tried to fix it but the next plate was loaded in grease. Waitress was super nice and tried to be helpful though...
Best breakfast Ive ever had, the staff was very nice and helpful, would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a good breakfast, or any meal for that matter since all the food we got was amazing
Great ambience and good food. Convenient Location and closer to other downtown places
Our first time eating at Yolk, and we werent disappointed. There were 9 people ahead of us and we were seated fairly quickly considering how busy they were. Our food was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was also very clean. Cant wait for this chain to make its way to TN.
Food was delicious. Staff was welcoming and introduce me to some of their in house favorites that I truly enjoyed.
We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and were really impressed with everything this breakfast spot has to offer. Service was very friendly and the food was even better! I highly recommend the chilaquiles with chorizo, they were absolutely delishes. They only have about half of their dining room open right now, so be prepared to wait if you arrive at a popular time.
Came to Indiana for the first time and my friend brought me to Yolk for the first time and loved it. I special ordered a white meat omelette and they made it for me (awesome) along with a side of pancakes of the month OMG, everything was so freaking delicious, I will definitely go back, hopefully soon and don’t forget to try the strawberry OJ(just wish it was in a bigger glass)👍👍👍
We went on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. The waitress was very nice and helpful. She gave us recommendations on what to order based on her preferences. The food was just ok. Our friends breakfast potatoes werent cooked...they were still hard on the inside. Our other friend didnt eat any of her food on the all-star platter because it was very bland, nothing had flavor. I had the chicken and waffles and the sausage gravy flavor overpowered everything else. The bacon waffles werent anything spectacular. Overall the food was ok but we wont be rushing to return.
This spot is pretty over-priced for some average, corporate-styled food. The place was pretty empty and we had still had to ask for most basic service items like water, napkins, and for our table to be bussed. The price point is already high for breakfast and you’ll be charged for most substitutions you’d want to make for a healthier meal. The toast was lightly pressed onto the griddle on one side while the other side was un-toasted. My group walked away from this meal pretty bummed out.
From the hostess to the waiter, customer service was great. We thought there would be a wait but we were seated by the time we got in the door. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive and cordial. The food was beyond anything Ive tried recently. Coming from another state to visit Indy, this was the best breakfast place I ever been to. I would definitely come back again in the future.
Food was fresh; however they forgot my pancakes, egg were runny (should have been cooked over-hard) and my steak was well-done should have been medium well. Plus I called the store & asked to speak with the manager, he wasnt available so I left my name and number for a follow-up call. No response. Its been over 3 hours. The issue is that I spent over $50 for 3/4 of a meal. I am not happy but the cinnamon roll was really amazing 😍.
It was okay. I didnt care for their cinnamon rolls and the service was kind of slow. Their sausage links are very good.
This place is definitely not worth the wait. I waited for over 45 minutes for my food and it was definitely not worth it. The server was great and comped a coffee for the wait. But when I asked to speak to a manager, he was extremely rude and indignant. He passive aggressively asked me if I was suppose to be served my food instantly. No I don’t. Maybe it was my unlucky day but I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Everything to me was pretty great however they dont wash the fruit they serve. There was actual dirt on my fruit. That turned me completely off. What else dont they clean.
Great food. Love the breakfast
Awesome place for breakfast. Got a build-your-own omelette which was amazing, and came with a ton of food. Cinnamon roll french toast was really good too, but by the time I got to it I was way too full and ended up taking it with me. Strawberry orange juice was awesome, but a little pricey. Coffee was decent, just regular diner coffee.
Service is always great and the food is excellent. Parking is expensive and I wish there was a place to park for free. I remember portion sizes being bigger? I ordered the same meal I have at 2 other locations and it was a fraction of the size.
Think the weekends are very busy. Took about 30 mins. To get our food. Good eating. Cost to much.
Food and service was great!!! Atmosphere is bright and friendly. James was AWESOME!!!! VERY polite and professional with just the right amount of attentiveness. 2nd visit... yet there will be MORE! ASK FOR JAMES to be your server! 4 stars bc parking is a hassle or overpriced due to events in the area
Came in recently for brunch. Ordered an omelet and a skillet - the omelet was underwhelming - soggy in the middle and the avocado was brown and mushy. The skillet was ok - a bit salty but not too bad. Disappointed overall.
Stopped for a quick breakfast while traveling to Indy for an event. SOLID place!! Food was lightning fast and the staff was very friendly. TONS of great options for all kinds of breakfast lovers - classics, new takes on old faves, wild combos and everytning in between. Not cheap - which is OK for me -, but if you want good food its your place. Highly recommend.
From the setup, to cleanliness, the staff, and the food...it was all amazing! A great experience for the first time being here. I absolutely recommend it and will not be my last visit. Keep up the amazing work!
Mediocre over-priced breakfast food. Can we get the QR codes to match the in-store menu?
Delicious food & the atmosphere was great! Loved the house made orange juice!
Food was delicious, service was good. Would very much recommend this place. We did have to make a reservation ahead of time the weekend we visited.
Crowded holiday weekend during Indy 500 weekend, but they pumped out the deliciousness in a timely manner.
Food is Great. Gave it 4 stars for the slower than normal service time
Indy needs more good brunch places and this place is so close. The menu is interesting although poorly cooked and over-priced. The location is convenient but parking isnt the best. A mimosa or Bloody Mary would be so nice with this kind of menu. The coffee is good but not great. And you generally have to wait for a table. Expect to drop around $20.00 for a dish and drink, which as I said before is a lot for what you get.The only thing that I can speak very positively about is the service, although its likely not enough to get me to become a regular. Heres to wishing that they can pick it up a bit.
Built my own omelette and added avocado slices for a premium, but it was delicious! Coffee was better than or at least as good as Starbucks. Excellent service!
Delicious food and service....love the vibe
Hr and a half wait time. Didnt go in. 5 stars cuz they seemed nice.
The menu looked amazing. When I received my order of corn beef hash the corn beef was super dry and over cooked. Pretty disappointing.
Its a busy place, but the wait wasnt long even though I didnt have a reservation. Their food was good, but not great. The main problem I had with this restaurant was a lot of their food wasnt strong. The coffee was bland, none of the spicy food was close to being spicy, I couldnt even taste the chorizo in the Omelet, and the fries/potatoes werent seasoned.
Wish they had outdoor seating but otherwise obsessed. Had the strawberry oj, croque madame and eggs Benedict.
