I love this place and have been coming here since at least 2015! Highly recommend the coffee and baked goods — especially the raspberry bar. However, what’s so hard or COVID-unsafe about having plates and silverware? Those are bare-minimum amenities that separate fast food from an actual restaurant, and I thought this place was the latter. Please restore a modicum of class to this establishment and offer plates and silverware again.
Great place for a quick bite or a great place to bring a laptop and work or just chill. There is a parking lot right in front and its located at storefront level. You can order breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, pastry items, and excellent coffee & lattes with milk alternative options. There is plenty of space available to sit and they are taking excellent pandemic precautions.
I just stopped in today for the first time while exploring a little of Indianapolis. Yes, Im a little bit biased because of the name BUT the shop, service and selection was fantastic. The shop sits in a very scenic Broad Ripple, a little suburb of Indianapolis. The area is very high end with little shops and beautiful homes everywhere. The shop itself sits tucked away in a petite shopping center at its very back. It has a very small, yet cozy feeling as you walk in, similar to a cottage feel and the aromatics pull you further. They have a great selection of incredible coffees and pastries and the baristas are well versed in their craft. The pricing is a little less than the over-rated monopoly that is Starbucks and the quality of everything is in my opinion much greater. If you are in or near the area are you are anything from a coffee connoisseur or someone who just likes the occasional cup of Joe, this place is definitely worth a visit.I will be returning!
Good coffee, good vibes, vegan options like oat milk, super friendly baristas.
Such a great spot on Pennsylvania Ave. Employees are genuinely nice and the mochas are literally one of the best in the city
Delicious coffee in a cozy atmosphere! Indoor and outdoor seating available. I recommend the white chocolate iced latte! :)
Great ambiance and friendly staff. It’s perfect to sit down and read.
Ordered a large cappuccino. Cup was less than half full. Didnt notice until I was gone, they probably would have fixed it? Really sucked.
If you don’t like Starbucks service or coffee but like the amount of options you can get and better coffee you’ll like this place. Has a chain feel and pleases the masses but locally owned and operated 😊Usually get the lemon rosemary scone but decided to get the cinnamon roll today. A hit with me. Wish the latte had some latte art to add to it but it was so yummy I didn’t care after I tried it 😂My only complaint is that I wish they asked if it was for here or to go instead of giving out to go cups all the time just for us to sit at a table. Had to ask for a for here cup. I get most people take it to go but everyone in the building had a to go cup and was sitting down.
I will give it six stars with the parking is terrible
Great coffee, great service, great prices.
First time here. The coffee and atmosphere were great. We will return.
This is my favorite coffee shop. Perfectly roasted beans yields a coffee that does not taste burnt. If you have not tried Hubbard and Craven I highly recommend you give him a shot.
If given the choice between the Big Bucks chain or Hubbard & Cravens I choose H&C every time! They have plenty of options for drinks and food. Even some outdoor seating to enjoy in the nice weather. I usually get the Carmillo (spelling?) but this time got the iced Shaker (super refreshing) and a banana nut muffin!
Neighborhood coffee shop. Very friendly staff and good coffee. Lots of space to spread out
My mocha tasted like chocolate milk, not much coffee taste at all...had higher hopes.
Quick delicious coffee.
One of my favorite coffee shops. If you want to get away from the big chain and still want some fancy drinks, this is the place for you. Friendly staff and nice space with plenty of seating (even with some tables blocked).
A must try on the Indy coffee scene!Try an Espresso con panna!
Excellent coffee, friendly staff, delicious baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Do yourself a favor and try the morning glory muffin.
Love it here! Havent had anything we didnt like!
My favorite coffee spot.
Locally owned. Beverages and food better than Starbucks. Give them a try.
Tried the healthy elephant based on a recommendation and they weren’t wrong. It was a super tasty blended drink! Would definitely order this again... and again...
One of my favorite local coffee spots! Recently I have been buying their grounds to make coffee at home, waaaay better than the grounds I buy at the grocery store. Their grounds make great gifts as well!
I’ll never get over how great H&C’s coffee and other drinks are! I usually get an iced americano and it truly needs absolutely nothing added to it. The flavors of their espresso come through and are so delicious. I travel a lot and have never come across anything that comes close to their coffee. Today I tried their Tumeric and Ginger tea latte and I hope they keep it on the menu for good! It was so so good!
Local coffee place with good coffee options - busy place, busy baristas but kind.
Great coffee shop try the traditional capuchinno
Love their coffee and homemade bars! So good!
Incredible attitudes, amazing and speedy service! Never rude. Smooth chill workflow vibes. I love this placeeeeeee!
Rude staff, decent coffee. Other Hubbard locations are more welcoming.
Amazing staff and great coffee, not to mention vegan pastries. The did a great job even faced with maskless, irresponsible, patrons
Great coffee in a cleaned social atmosphere. Vast array of choices and reasonable prices. I had a meeting there and although the place was full I had a good table and was quite comfortable.
Was recommendations this coffee place by a friend who lives in the area. Great environment and helpful staff/baristas. The coffee and pastries are delicious too. When I go back to visit my friend I will definitely return here for more coffee as well!!
Love this place, This place is a fist to the face of Starbucks!
Not my favorite coffee shop. The coffee is a little dark roasted for my taste . They are local and very friendly! I would recommend this to anyone who is ok with dark roast coffees.
I always love what I get here. Its always packed with most of the tables having just one person working and two or three empty chairs. I am usually meeting someone when I go here, and its not likely that well find a spot without hanging out. Other than that, its a great spot!
Good food, great coffee. There isnt always a place to have a seat but is a reflection of quality of service and refreshments. They also sell whole bean/ground coffee.
Good prices and mask policy strictly enforced
My friends and I always hang out here either to do a group study or to just simply chit-chat. The staff is welcoming and considerate. What I like about their coffee shop is the ambiance it brings whenever you enter it. It makes us feel awake and at the same time, enjoy ourselves with a cup of well-prepared coffee and desserts.
Always great coffee and service. Love the seasonal latte options! Definitely wish I could get a coffee here every day! :)
Very kind staff and quick to make delicious drinks each and every time I visit
Awesome local coffee shop. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Delicious coffee.
Fantastic coffee. Hats off to the roaster. The flavors of their coffees are unique. Most importantly, unlike a certain national chain, the coffee isnt burnt or bitter. When in Indy, Hubbard and Crave should be your first and only option. Did I mention great locations?
Really frothy, smooth latte and the scones are jammed with flavor... Been coming here for a couple years now... Its a nice place to meet a friend or associate or to work alone....parking and seating can be a challenge, but dont give up!... its a popular spot for many reasons...overall a solid experience.
Once you start drinking H&C everything else starts tasting like boiled water. I mean it. These folks scour the globe for the finest beans and roast them locally. Micro lots oh my goodness. Stuff to die for. This is a little known local gem.
Im not usually in this part of town, but my experience today was so good I might have to find excuses to come back! The staff was polite, funny, and helped me choose the best drink for me. Atmosphere is cozy, not too cramped, and bright enough that I saw a few people using it as an office environment. I would definitely recommend, based on today!
I have always loved this place. Good to hang out and the coffee is great. We love whole local bean, but they have moved away from the bean origins that we like. It is sad because this is one of my favorite Indy places. The price is getting up there too for coffee.
Great service and wonderful food/drink. Their dining room and outside seating are currently operating at 50% capacity under the COVID-19 restrictions.
Great staff and high quality coffee and goodies. Love the carrot cake muffin!!!
Quick service, lots of parking, and reasonable prices. Definitely a local coffee shop to check out
Best americano in Indy, hands down. This place gets busy fast, so if you want to spend time here, I suggest getting in early!
Very good coffee. Terrific service. Only reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 is the size. They have a good amount of seating. But the popularity of this place makes it very hard to even find a seat on some days. Typically only a problem starting late morning and through late afternoon. No drive through. And parking can be limited. Note that there is some additional parking in back of the building. Its just not visible from the street front.
Comparable in price to Starbucks, but much better in every other way. Their espresso is usually pretty good, and the specialty drinks didnt ever disappoint. Their baked goods are wonderful, but the sandwiches are not so great. Id definitely recommend if you want to try some higher-class coffee!
Great coffee. Great business. Good service and plenty of space to work. I live closer to the one off of Carrollton Ave so I dont come here as much, but I still really enjoy meeting up at this location for coffee dates and meetings!
Nice neighborhood coffee spot. Relaxing environment. I enjoy their chai tea latte. They also have pastries and sandwiches if you something to eat while youre there
Super crowded at lunch. Fairly limited options outside of coffee. Had a scone that was decent but nothing special. Seating is arranged oddly and results in felling really cramped. The atmosphere is relaxed and it doesnt get loud so its a good place to study.
The people working there were super nice. They didnt have lemonade, so I got an ice tea, herbal with lemon sprout, which didnt taste good to me. I had to wipe off my table before sitting at it. I still reccomend this place.
Wonderful staff, very kind and knowledgeable. So many unique blends of coffee. I walked 45min out of the way to get there and it was well worth it. If ever back in Indianapolis i will visit again
First impression was very good. While a Starbucks frequenter will feel right at home here, its locally owned!
Amazing local coffee shop. Delicious drinks, friendly staff, in a chill atmosphere.
Excellent customer service. Friendly staff. Bold coffee. Great Kambucha in Pomegranate. Firm bagels. Nice presentation on egg salad sandwich to go. I will definitely go back.
Nice staff, great coffee... I do believe I found where the zombies hang out. More writing this review makes me one also so I am back to enjoying my coffee.....
I went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was filled with people but somehow still managed a comfortable, cozy atmosphere. Its the kind of place a person would go to work on homework or something like that. The staff was very friendly, service was quick, and the facility was very clean. I ordered a carmel latte and I must say, its the best one Ive ever had!
Best cafe in Indianapolis. Modern decor and a variety of caffeinated coffee concoctions with different methods of brewing (pour over, drip, cold brew) for those so inclined.I recommend the healthy elephant.
I really enjoy this particular Hubbard & Cravens location in comparison to the one in Broad Ripple or up in Carmel because its a little hidden gem in the middle of a neighborhood. My wife and I occasionally swing past here on our way home from church, and its never overly crowded or rushed, but the atmosphere is still friendly and homey.
Being greeted with the smell of coffee and handmade pastries is wonderful, they serve lunch too.
Good drink options and pastries. Great place to meet up. Good atmosphere.
A really nice local coffee chain. It has a welcoming atmosphere and excellent coffee.
Great local roasted coffee many ethically sourced and traded options. A comfortable atmosphere and place to sip and work. Great spot to chat over coffee with a friend.
It was a great introduction to kind people, great food and coffee...an excellent surprise
Quality and professionalism, as I have come to expect... a hidden gem of Indianapolis.
Great to sit in a cafe again!
Great local spot... tried the Tisane, great cup of tea.
The best cafe in Indiana. No, its actually the best cafe in midwest. Just go there and try the double espresso 😘😘
High traffic. Limited seating. Worth it. Drinks are delicious. Nice to go the in the morning, get lunch across the street at Cafe Patachou, then come back to finish out the work day.
Casual and comfortable neighborhood shop. This is exactly why we moved to this area.
Really enjoyed having some coffee here out on the patio!
Love the neighborhood vibe and the perfectly brewed coffee. Some of the best coffee I have had state side. I love the Carmilla Latte! Good for a quick bite and small talk. Free WiFi, free samples and most importantly smiles!!
Very good coffee drinks with some other options.
Frequently, I travel to Indy& I found a picture of a healthy smoothie thats made @ this establishment online. I showed the pic to the cordial waitress& she had it prepared in a flash. Ill return!
Coffee that lets people know youre better than them! Seriously though, love this place.
Great service, environment and tea. I ordered peppermint tea and wasnt disappointed.
Nice little place. Coffee was amazing. Ample seating but it was still packed. Sign of a good shop.
Fantastic coffee, friendly folks. Sometimes hard to find a table in the late morning, but with good reason. Be sure to snag one of the lemon rosemary scones before they run out!
Great locally owned business, their daily coffee qualifies as delicious and satisfying. Their special brews and seasonals are top notch.
Great coffee and tea. Lovely atmosphere and tasty treats
OK product at typical upscale coffee house.
A 49th and Pennsylvania St popular spot! Great coffee and really nice, young professional ambience and clientele. The food looked pretty great, too!
The coffee here is great, but the seating is arranged in such a way that I feel like there is always someone too close to me.
Great local but professional coffee place. Neighborhood hangout.
Great coffee and a great space to sit and chat!
I dont understand why people like this coffee shop, the atmosphere kind of sucks and all their drinks are subpar. I can go to McDonalds and get a better coffee for cheaper.
My iced americano was pretty good. The muffin was great, and the atmosphere is perfect for a coffee shop.
