Almost forgot that the nationwide Gateway Classic Cars had a showroom in Indy. Been there twice in several years, need to visit more often. If you cant go in person, go on line. Rich vareity of inventory, make an offer and see what you can do.

Saw one of their cars on ebay. Called and talked to Alyssa Kamacho. Asked her how the process would go, etc. Felt comfortable to make the purchase. She put me in touch with a shipping company and everything went smooth. Had the car in SoCal the very next week and its awesome! Probably the nicest old used car I have ever purchased. Everything works as it should! Super happy and Alyssa was communicative through the whole process. Would definitely purchase through Gateway again.

They took their time with us and we had previously sold another classic truck with them. We know they will take good care of our 64 Chevy truck which is now available for sale in their showroom.

Very Unethical. Tony was my point of contact on a 50s Chevy truck we were getting my Mom as a 75th Birthday gift. Was brief and told me the truck was fine. Im in Florida and they are in Indy. I asked for a reference for someone that can do an appraisal and test of the truck before we bought it. Tony recommended a guy that was very professional. That part went well. But after spending $350, the appraiser called me and said the truck wont start as it has a bad fuel pump so no road test nor test of the electronics could be done. This is only two days after Tony said the truck was good. The proper thing would have been to tell me the truck needed some work and wouldnt be available to be tested as the owner they were selling it for didnt want to spend the money and the truck had been sitting there for over two years. So, now I wasted $350 on an appraisal when Gateways Tony could have simply owned up about the vehicle. Go elsewhere for your purchase. This place only cares about money and not full disclosure.

I have to agree with most of the 1 star ratings. For car guys, they’re not real honest about the shape of the vehicles. Let alone on every 1 star review they get, they leave a default response of “ we strive to provide the best customer service”. There are plenty of other avenues to go down for buying a classic car where they will be up front with you on any issues with a car you are buying.

DO NOT SELL YOUR CAR AT THIS LOT, THE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT MOTIVATED TO SELL YOUR CARS THEY ARE MOTIVATED TO LET THEM SET ON THE LOT FOR YEARS, AND THEN RENEW YOUR CONTRACT WITHOUT YOU KNOWING, HOWEVER THAT WORKS.

This is a great place if you want to be over promised and under delivered. I had my vehicle there for a year and lowered the price a few times, but they were too lazy to even change it in the show room. The promise that I got from the 1st sales person that worked there was changed and they said I dont know why he told you that. Each time I had a problem there was a new person there and they said they were brought in to fix the problems. I picked up the car today and had a 10 am appointment. Guess what the manager was 45 mins late and blamed it on construction. ( Theres no traffic because of Corona) When I told them how badly they sucked he gave me the famous line thats what I am here to fix.

I never leave reviews, its not worth the effort; but in this instance I am making an exception. More important than the constant staff turnover and terrible management, they are liars. I was told huge lies when I signed up, and I was lied to over and over again throughout the process, they ended up charging me 3 times what I was promised, cost me thousands of dollars, took years to sell my car, gave just atrocious advice about pricing and selling, and at one point took $1000 out of the deal, for no other reason then they could. Avoid working with them at all costs.

Corry Cox was professional, knowledgeable and conscientious during the purchase of a $100,000 muscle car. Prior to my visit, he contacted the cars owner and the shop that restored the car to obtain answers to my questions, as well as photos of the build. I flew in to inspect the car and it was just as described. I made an offer conditional on Corry obtaining additional documents, receipts and information. He did all of this quickly and with a great attitude. As we walked through the showroom, it was evident that Corry is a true car enthusiast and knowledgeable about a variety of makes and models. He also has a good mechanical background. I would not hesitate to recommend Corry and Gateway to a potential buyer who comes to the showroom having done their own due diligence before the inspection.

Customer service is a forethought with this company and they do not comprehend what that even means. They advertise the cars well out of the classic car market. Which leads to multiple cars, even entire showrooms to sit for months with no room for fresh inventory. Per contract vehicles are supposed to be marked up no more than 12.5%. However the average mark up in each showroom is around 27-28%. Placing them well out of the market. Consignors will voice concerns about price from gateways standpoint. The companies cooperate leaders refuse to handle negative criticism from the consignors. They will pass phone calls to Office managers, sales staff and even show room support in an attempt to dodge questions, comments and concerns. The sad truth is they make $300 per consignment contract, and lack overhead in the showroom like all dealerships to cover any potential risk. For example in a Midwest location, gasoline was spilled on a lacquer painted numbers matching 67’ Stingray. The cosigner already unhappy about the 30k mark up on his car, was scheduled to pick it up. Sadly the gas ate the paint. It was up to the office manager to inform the cosigner of an employee mistake. He was not informed until the day he came to retrieve the vehicle. Gateway returned the vehicle under the “act of god” clause defined under the consignment contract. You can assume the chain of events after and would probably be right. The dishonesty does not stop with the consignors but the customers whom purchase the vehicles. The assumption is they are the only business in town that offers services like them, which is not the case. Consignment is not a new business practice, a quick google search will tell you there are 3 other places like Gateway Indy. The other businesses offer not only true customer service, but like minded people who appreciate the automobiles they are consigning and selling. They assume every buyer is an emotional one, that is too dumb to do a shred of research. Issues are not disclosed until vehicle is delivered and after a $1000 non refundable deposit is taken. Titles are not received for 15-30 days after the initial purchase.*UPDATE* After 11 months I was finally contacted about my review. 11 full months. Pre-dating the global pandemic. I truly hope that the customer service has changed within this organization. Given I have close relationships with the most of the consignors within the Indy Location, I know this is not the case.

I bought a 67 camaro for $33k, I have been waiting for 30 years to buy a muscle car. The sales people were great when I was looking, but once they had the money it was a different story... It took forever to get things done. The car has a massive oil leak, which they said they never noticed.. BS this car leaks so bad.. Not a few drops but 2 feet of oil every drive. They said they never drove it. Well they have a video of driving it. Door locks.. Well they never mention that we don’t have keys for the doors!! Locked out on my first drive $59 to get home. They are slow in the buying process and promise you a great car, but they work for the seller. Do Not buy from these people. I dont expect a perfect car, but they need to disclose the issues.. Once confronted they said well what are we supposed to do about it. Once the sell is done, they r done.. Again I know it’s an older car, but be up front and disclose the issues!!

Buyer beware! They’re not honest people. Bought a car they said car was clean paint salesperson said on phone as well, car arrived with 3 major blemishes. No disclosures and no close up pics. On top of that car showed up smoking when pulled out of trailer for delivery. Send numerous messages to sales person and manager and took days for response. Horrible customer service, will never buy a car from them again!!!! FYI I have never written a bad review in my life but this dealer and salesperson earned this one. DONT DO IT

Its nice to see a classic car company with nice cars that are affordable. They do not own the cars however and they are selling for owners just as classic car owners that just want to get rid of the car they no longer want to make room for Another. I have visited this place and its professional and enjoyable. I think the negative reviews are because they dont own the cars so they sell them based on whatever the owner tells them to sell for, I dont think they should take the bad wrap for bad owners

Gateway lists 147 cars for sale at the Indy location. There might be 45 on a good day.Dont waste your time going there for a car you saw online more than likely the car is not there and some of the cars that are there are pushed off to the side and are not for sale.

WAY WAY WAY over priced. Wait for Auctions America in Auburn or Mecum at the Stat Fair Grounds. This is fun place to walk through and admire a very nice inventory as a Saturday morning makeshift car show, but unless you have money to burn or need immediate satisfaction, you do not have to go far to get a waaaay better deal.

Got a call from Dave, he was offering to help sell my car. When I politely told him I didnt need any help he proceeded to to say that my car wasnt worth what I was asking and told me it would not sell. Once the call ended that wasnt enough and he texted me to remind me that my car is worth 6000 less than what Im asking for it and that Im ripping whoever is buying it off. Very unprofessional and rude!

Terrible would not recommend to my worst enemy. We bought a 1973 Dodge Challenger pro street, beautiful car. Died pulling into our drivaway after a 30 mile drive and the worst is that it caught fire after having it only 5 days, with me in it...they sold me a lemon and would not take any responsibility! Dishonest, rude, and not knowledgeable. BAD BUSINESS!!!
