It is a good place to find rare and fun comics. But the customer services is lacking. We are at the age now where businesses are allowed to make excuses for their issues and get away with it. Then to tip it off if they are fully at fault, they dont care, its their word against yours. Ive had items I asked for on the live sales team, in the videos saved on Facebook, you can clearly hear my name. The item is not on invoice, you contact them and ask them why, and even though there is 100% proof on saved videos, they deny that you claimed the item. And for the rewards system. Dont trust it. I know it is free rewards, but they can and will not let you have the rewards. It was there word against mine.

Paid for my books 3 weeks ago that I purchased during an online sale and they still haven’t shipped. I was lied to and told they would ship out a week ago and they still haven’t. Not the first time I’ve had issues with this companies extremely delayed shipping. They give staffing as an excuse for why they’re delayed, but yet they have enough staff to go live for more sales 2-3 times a day.

Buyer Beware!!! CE intentionally sold me 2 comic book that they knew were damaged. Took a week to respond to my email. They offered no solution to the problem. Tried FB messenger. They replied after 2 days with a short message saying that that they knew the books were bad. They have never offered a return or replacement. Even after I have sent them pictures.I had to end up sending the books back to them and canceling the charge through my card company. Save yourself some trouble. Steer clear of this company.

An absolutely incredible experience seeing everything that goes on at both sites to ensure every purchaser gets their books in a timely manner. Even more importantly, Shawn and his team are the most dedicated and customer driven people Ive seen in the industry. Shawn is also extremely generous with his time and always offers great deals on books. There is no better place to purchase books than from Comics Elite!

They are slow and they will lie to you about when you going to shipped your paid products to you. I emailed them couple days after they said it be done and shipped. I get a email to me they banned me for asking why my PAID order is not shipped yet. Please stop shopping there or order stuff online with them.

These guys have poor customer service and poor inventory management. I’ve dealt with them online and many times during cons, shows, and trade events. That being said I’ve never been to their store. My problem with them is their online service which is terrible. For example I placed several orders with them which when I received my order I noticed items missing from the order sheet being crossed out and marked with a red marked R or something to that effect, with no indication of what it meant, I put 2 and 2 together along with a phone call to their company to ensure my theory was correct. It meant I was refunded for the item, the only way I knew I was being refunded was between the order sheet and the email that PayPal sent me. Which they never called or emailed me themselves to say hey we don’t have an item or items on the list would you like something else or just a refund. So that being said, after trying to buy something from them several times that is listed available in both as a set and as an individual my orders kept being refunded, for the specific item, even though their website showed it as in stock and available for purchase. It was listed for sale and as available for at least a few months when it was actually no longer available, this was the case for other items as well not just this one! Finally I called and said hey I placed 3-4 orders with that item on it on separate occasions but I was refunded for that item every time, how come it’s still listed as available? Their answer was oh that was a mistake and I’ll fix that right away, we’re sorry about that. They never offered a free book or discount on an order, or anything to make up for the error that they constantly had me in. They also forgot to send two books to me from a 5 book mystery box which I only caught because I got books I didn’t recognize from my order and there was only 2 out of the 4 missing, not including the 1 virgin book that was the key part of the box. Which they eventually sent out but once again no offer of anything for the mistake, no keychain, sticker, business card or anything to show empathy for the mistakes they’ve made. I kept finding my order sheets missing items and being refunded on almost every order! Never once receiving an email or call about the problem. I dealt with them for a little bit longer after I brought the inventory issues up to them, to see if they would fix it providing them a chance. They had not fixed the issue so, I no longer buy from them. I find I can buy what sell else where. It’s a shame because once I find a company I like I become a loyal customer and will spend insane amounts on books. But because they poorly handled both customer service and inventory in my case, they damaged my customer relationship with their company that I would have built up with them...

Placed a $150 web order a month ago. They took full payment the day of the order. No books yet. Absolutely zero communication regarding order status. No response to inquiries. I definitely would not recommend buying from them via their website.

I was very upset that i wouldnt have what I ordered in time for a birthday present until Shawn the owner hopped on the phone.He explained very clearly what had happened didnt have excuses at all. I came into the store as a first time customer to sell some unique items. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. They found out we had driven close to an hour to get here and had some things to possibly sell. Even though owner was not in they came up with a solution quickly (which ended up being Shawn himself stopping in without really knowing what I had)and doing business with me. Even if Shawn and I parted ways without doing business I would have come back as a potential seller or buyer. I sure would have called first to make sure a buyer was in out of courtesy but their customer service was amazing. Showroom and creativity was spectacular. All staff were professional. I’ve been collecting since the 1970s and this is now my go to place no questions asked!!!! Will refer my comic book friends here.Thank you to everyone for such a pleasant experience! Well worth the trip.

What a FANTASTIC company to do business with! I ordered a book from them and when it came, it was the wrong cover. Within 24 hrs I had it straightened out with the company and the correct book is in the mail. Throughout my interactions with them they have been very prompt in theyre responses and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Their books are VERY reasonably priced and shipped/delivered super quick. I love Comics Elite and will continue to use them for years to come!!

I live in California, so I order my comics through comics elite website because the ease of access and quick Apple Pay checkout option. Once someone even threw in a free dollar comic in my order of Venom #19, which I deeply appreciated. As of now, I’m waiting on my order #20500. I called the shop about it because I was notified with tracking information on Monday, but haven’t seen any details during the week. A young lady named Ireland was very kind and seemed to have expedited the order because now it says it’ll arrive tomorrow. Still waiting on order #20528, which I ordered around the same time. I understand how busy things can get so it doesn’t really bother me, I just thought it got lost in transit. Really happy with service and team. Thank you for rekindling my love for comic books, and the great customer service!

Order Wonder Woman 750 by Derrick Chew on the 1/29/20 n ended up receiving it till 3/6/20. Had to contact them several times to find out the status. The person who was emailing with was very respectful but just didn’t understand the delay since other shop had the issue in the second week of February. The reason for a three is because the top loader that the comic came in looked used. Has a lot of scratches and looks used, the comic was not damaged but the top loader had seen better days. I may order for a third time and make my decision whether to order from this shop or just stick to Golden Apple or Midtown instead. Shopper beware.

PICTURE IS NOT ACCURATE. Staff was really helpful. Location was hard to find. Stock on the shelves was sparse and erratic. There would be 30 copies of a single issue of a title that starts with B, like Batman, and then the next title would be Flash for example. There would be no C, D, or E titles. Very weird stock patterns with lots of titles missing. Half the store was tables with stacks of comics other customers had either paid for or reserved. Like pull lists were just stacked in the open everywhere. There was no system. You would have to be willing to completely manage your own pull to get regular titles here. Maybe thats what you want? I am uncomfortable leaving negative reviews, as businesses like comic shops tend to be run by passionate people but I just cant recommend this one for the casual walk in shopper. I dont know where that picture came from but it is very misleading, the shop is very cluttered and hard to navigate. Again, the guy behind the counter was really helpful and nice.

Love the shop. Experienced staff with a lot of harder to find items be it Magic The Gathering or Comics. Tucked away but very worth visiting.Atmosphere as a nice grunge feel to it making it feel more realistic and homey. These are real people who will give it to you straight. I have never felt i was sold something that was not good. Give this place a try.

Just received shipping confirmation for books that were released two weeks ago. Another order released two weeks ago but still hasn’t shipped. The reason given was because Comics Elite ordered books from Unknown Comic Books. Unknown Comics hasn’t shipped the books to Comics Elite. A third order I placed with a release date of two weeks ago was not printed by Marvel and it’s currently not expected to be released until over a month after the posted release date. I can understand things change but that’s when it’s your responsibility to reach out to the customer and let them know the status of their orders. If you’re going to conventions it’s your responsibility to ensure someone is there to ship the orders or at the very least let it be known that your store will not be shipping for whatever period of time. Basically it’s a store that buys books from other stores. They will ship your stuff out whenever they get around to it. Don’t waste your money here. Other stores sell the same stuff at lower prices with better service. Lesson learned. As of 7/25/2019 I have accepted the offer for the owner to refund the money for my open unshipped orders. I have not received a response or a refund of any kind.

My husband has been collecting comic books since he was an elementary school. He buys comics every week. I placed an order over a month ago and received an email today that two of the comics that I ordered I will not be receiving. If I wouldve known this, I would have brought them somewhere else a month ago. Now they are sold out everywhere and Icannot get them. So disappointed! I legit was telling everyone to order from Comic Elite and raving about this company. What a big mistake.

Awesome comic book store. So far my favorite one to order from and not one bad experience. And as others have complained about wait times it isnt an issue for me im understanding sometimes things dont go as planned. But still happy every time with purchases and the customer service. Only wish i lived closer id come in the store itself and visit every now and again. Highly recommend

Overall this comic shop doesn’t seem bad. I placed an online order for two issues and I got them nicely packed and in great condition. The only issue I have is that it took two weeks before they even sent the order after me notifying them. I ended up calling and emailing them and was told over the phone that they didn’t know why my shipment had been delayed so long. Which makes me think would it have taken even longer if I never had notified them? That being said unfortunately I probably won’t be ordering from here again, unless they get their shipping department figured out. At the price of $8 for shipping, 2 1/2 weeks is a little unreasonable as I am only in Colorado.

Came home from the Navy to visit family, found this hidden gem along the way! The owner is polite and easily approachable, I had no problems finding what I was looking for. There is also an awesome selection of free comic books!

I ordered books from Boston Expo when they did a live sale. Books were tagged by them on the videos. when they got back from the show to their HQ i asked when the books will arrive back to get sorted and shipped. 3wks go by and no books. I contacted them and they said that they are sorry but the books probably got sold to someone else. Im like there is a video yall tagged the book on with my name. How can yall screw that up? They refunded my money, but to anyone planning on buying books from them. Dont!! hurt them in the pockets like it hurts us customers who shell out lots of money for books they get. The customer service is unacceptable. Please i implore anyone seeking to do business with them. Dont!. theres other groups out there that are far better at customer service than these asshats!!

I placed an online order on June 8th. Everything I placed the order for was already released and in stock. This order was for a friend for his birthday, and to make sure it arrived on time (June 15th) I did choose the USPS priority shipping. It took until June 19th to ship, and arrived on June 21st. I had to ask about my order multiple times, and each time I was “assured” it was being worked on. I was pretty disappointed on how long it took, since it was a gift being sent to a friend. The only thing saving me from giving one star is the fact that my friend said they arrived very well packaged, in good condition and he really liked what I ordered. So maybe skip ordering online if you want an order in a timely fashion, but stop at the store. FYI I did not see anywhere asking for two weeks for delivery...and it was never stated in any communication that they were at a con.

Very rude and nasty in online communications. Only sold comics to their subs in a live stream and denied active customers for their favored guests.EDIT - This was the most understated review of the century. Shawn likes to use his personal and store Facebook pages to harass and attack anyone who he disagrees with, leaves a 1 star review, or he doesnt acknowledge their military service. All are grounds for being harassed and messaged by Shawn and his friends/customers.

Their customer service is second to no one. I had a small issue with something missing from my order and not only did they correct it but also threw in a couple of #1 issues as a way to apologize. If you need books you cant find anywhere else. STOP SEARCHING AND GO TO COMICS ELITE!!!
