Being disappointed is an understatement. Service here is the worst weve ever had. Summer of 2020 we decided to set an appointment to get our boat winterized and wrapped. We dropped it off clean and ready expecting it to have it done before the bad weather hit. 2 months later and multiple calls with no call backs and my boat had been sitting out in bad weather the entire time. They made excuses that their wrap guy had quit BUT why didnt they call their customers to tell them so we could go somewhere else? My boat was returned in HORRIBLE CONDITION. It was drenched in water with streaks down the side that I will have to get professionally buffed out with a GIANT piece of ICE sitting right on top of the cover and there is a snap button broken off. Now Ill have to spend even MORE money to get this fixed and wrapped. I have sent them a message concerning my experience and they have not reached out to me. I will never ever bring my boat back or recommend them to anyone. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET YOUR BOAT SERVICED

Bought new boat and several hundred dollars of accessories last spring. Took in for winterization and some warranty work at end of season. They had it for nearly 3 months. Uncovered this summer for the long holiday and batteries were completely dead-had not been disconnected for winterization. Charged overnight but still dead so bought 2 new batteries to salvage 1 day of long weekend. Called on Tuesday and after 2 weeks said they were not responsible and would not reimburse for batteries. They have lost any further business from us.

Cant get any info on when our boat will be done. We had it here for winterization, storage, and summerization. We were told it would be ready for pickup the latest end of April. It is mid May and still cant get any info on when we can pick it up. No customer service, only parts department. No manager for customer complaints either.

Fred did an awesome job delivering our new boat to Lake Cumberland and the length of time he spent on the orientation exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks again for everything!

Pretty disappointed with my experience at the service department. I bought a 93 Welcraft Excel in September and took it to them to have it looked over. I called ahead just to make sure they could check it over since it was an older boat. I was told on the phone they usually dont work on boats before 2000, but since it had a Volvo engine they didnt see an issue. They had my boat for over 2 weeks, only for them to tell me there was freeze damage. They couldnt tell me where the freeze damage was and said it would cost too much to fix.After I got the boat home I looked it over myself, in which I couldnt see any visible freeze damage and tested the boat before I bought it. Also, I noticed the battery was still unhooked like I left it and the keys were still on the seat. So I was skeptical they didnt even take the time to look it over. Little things, but still.Shortly after, l looked at other boats, but decided to take my boat to another shop to have a second opinion before deciding to sell it. I told them what the Marine Center told me in which they said there wasnt any visible freeze damage. They had it for a week and during that time they tested it, and found out in only needed a water pump assembly.Long story short is I’m glad I took it somewhere else to have it looked over before deciding to drop more money into another boat. I was charged $121.79 at the Marine just to say there was freeze damage, but I don’t think they even took the time to look at it, just charged me the labor fee. I will not be taking my boat or future boats there to have serviced.

Im in the same boat . Cant ever get a call back and still waiting for my boat after paying $1,400 for storage and winterization. Thinking about legal recourse at this point. Theft by taking perhaps? Only giving one star because I cant give zero.

My pontoon boat had a punctured power steering hose, but Marine Center moved heaven and earth to pull the boat in Bloomington, take it back to Indy, fix the hose, and tow it back. They even got the boat back in time for Labor Day weekend! Hats off to Josh, Trey, and the great service department at Marine Center of Indiana!

Visited today during the January boat show.Met Fred. Great guy, very informative and not pushy. Definitely will talk with him again. We certainly loved the new boats but also the used 2013 pontoon in the front window.

I am so unbelievably mad at this place. I was told 2-4 business days for parts ordered. I am now going on 14 days with no parts, my wife and I have called several times only to be told they would look into it and call me back. Three times I was told that and still no call. When you ask for a manager there all too busy. Stay far away from this place!!

Very unimpressed in this place. I went to buy a boat and put a deposit but was denied. I put the deposit down being told it was refundable. I have been given the runaround repeatedly. I do not recommend buying from this store

Ive been going to Marine Center for years because of their friendly, helpful staff and large inventory! They have everything you need for your boat and for water sports. Our most recent purchase was a set of childrens learner skis for our four year old. He was able to get up on his first try! Thanks for all of your help! First of all I want to thank Jessica Davis, your service manager, for the work that was done on my boat trailer when I had a problem. I also want to thank Don Fillinger for taking the time to coordinate the start of the repairs. What a great first impression of your organization.Don Looked at the trailer and asked Jessica if it could be repaired the next day. This is all after 5 pm on Thursday, Jessica said they would sure try to get me back on the road the next day. Not only did they do that but got me on the road by 2 PM the next day. What great service!! They also inspected and replaced all six wheel bearings, drum hub, etc. to insure I would have no further problems for the rest of the 700 mile trip home.I can not give enough praise to your organization, Jessica and Don for the work, kindness and understanding of my situation being so far from my home.Thank you does not go far enough, but I do thank you,Sincerely,Joe LeoneSept 12, 2019

I purchased a boat here. I was told I would get the best service you can get anywhere. I cant even get them to answer the phone, and when they finally do, they are never the one you need to talk to. Three people have take my name and number vowing to call me back and never did. Told them I also wanted to buy up and still no call back. One person said they were so swamped that It was unlikely that Id ever get a call back. Blamed it on covid take three weeks to replace et covid19I asked then why did it three weeks to get fixed last year? There was no covid19 then.. I started calling last Thursday!Recommend you go else whereOr just call try to get a mechanic the phone.. while on hold a recorded ad.states they will not

We took our 1997 vintage boat to Marine Center of Indiana for winterization servicing this autumn after discovering that our normal servicing place went out of business. The staff was friendly and helpful. They completed the work in a very timely manner. The final bill closely matched the upfront estimate we were given. We will certainly do business here again in the future. We would highly recommend this place to others.

It took some time to respond back to my inquiry I made on line but once Grant realized mine was over looked he was more than happy to apologize for the mistake as well as offer to help now. Great that they take time to read the reviews and help as much as possible. I look forward to working with them in the future.

The owner Mike Hoffman is a dishonest person who is a Master Manipulator!! I do not recommend doing business with him.Unfortunately,I had only a lot of very bad experiences with him.

Ordered parts 10 days ago (And paid for said parts of course). We were quoted 2-4 business days. Never once received an update from them even after we called multiple times and were promised a call back on SEVERAL occasions.

Highly recommend Marine Center for there great service and friendly staff. The service department is top notch and I like the way they take the time to explain what they are doing to my boat when I take it in for service .

Bought our new Stingray boat from Marine Center and had a great experience. Staff is very helpful and despite an issue with depth finder they took care of us and even delivered the boat back to our house two hours away. Would definitely do business again!

Awesome store and super friendly staff! This store is almost 2 hours away, but we would rather spend 2 hours driving for the experience and selection than spend 15 minutes to have no selection and bad service. These people rock! Well worth the trip!

We bought a golf cart from Marine Center at a recent camping and boat show. They told us they would have it ready on Monday, two days after the show. They agreed to include a window and mirror as part of the deal. We are now 1 full week past the sales date and we have yet received our golf cart. We drove 45 minutes to pick it up Monday morning and were told it wasnt there. They also informed us they didnt have the windshield or mirror in-stock. We were informed today, a full week past the sale, that the parts arrived yesterday. They seem to be in no hurry to provide us with the service they agreed to. I would not believe ANYTHING they tell you. DO your self a favor and avoid this place.

Service, Service, Service!!! They did exactly what they said they would do - which was exactly what i asked for. Very reasonable prices and the technician took the time to explain to me what he had done.My visit was prompted by a poor experience with one of the local Yamaha dealers. As Marine Center is not an authorized dealer, I expected to pay more for less. Boy was i wrong!Marine Center will have my business for years to come. I recommend you give them a try.

My husband and I were looking for our first boat. We walked in, no one at the front desk. We wondered around for about 20 minutes, still no one. We decided to hunt someone down, went to parts and service desk, they told us someone should be up front yeah thanks!... Walked around a few more min... Finally a salesmen greeted us, we took him back to what we were looking at asked about pricing and a few questions. He was knowledgeable and knew his stuff, problem began when he assumed the boat was out of our price range and started pushing us to a smaller or used boat. This throughly annoyed me to no end. We werent crazy about the color, and we had found a very similar boat at just add water for about 4grand less which is why I was surprised on this pricing. He was very pushy talked over us and just rambled on and on about other boats we werent interested in, even after being told by both myself and my husband we wanted this boat! We left went to Just add water and will be picking up our NEW boat Saturday that we paid CASH FOR. Moral of the story dont assume!

I was satisfied with their work and service. My only comment is that I wish the people servicing the boat would put more effort in to covering their tracks There were grease marks around the engine cover and shoe tread marks all over the swim platform and floor of the boat.

There was a boat show at their showroom last weekend, my boyfriend drug me there to look at pontoons. I didnt expect them to be so busy in January. They had a prize wheel I spun and won a tshirt, which was pretty cool.Nick was able to tell us about the different Berkshire (sp?) models, and didnt make us feel pressured to get one right away. Didnt get a boat yet, but hopefully will be back when it warms up!

It hard to find its site all the way back of the plaza and the billboard is very visible so you dont have a clue its in the right location but it is the business and they also carry truck bumpers
