Loved everything about it except for the manager. The microwave was out the wall looked like it had someone shot in it and had cracked all the way down to the bottom.

Its not a motel (gets your facts straight in stories and headlines local media). It is one of the best places to buy bourbon in Indy. Prices compare with or favorably to any stores msrps. Single barrell picks are plentiful throughout the year, and I have not been disappointed in any of my purchases. I often share with friends, and the store picks are always a hit and not always all that pricey.

I dont usually do reviews, but this place is one of a kind!! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff who were willing to answer all my silly questions and talk bourbon with me for almost 2 hours. One of the most truly enjoyable bourbon conversations Ive ever had. And talk about the store picks!!! Youre not just going to find one that you like, its gonna be 4, 5, 6 bottles that youre going to find yourself really enjoying and having to choose between - and thats before you get to the rest of the bourbon selection! A top notch experience all around. If youre ANYWHERE near the Indy area, whether living or traveling, take the time to stop by. You wont regret it.

Although there are some unwanted people that go there, the people that work there are no problem. They had the wine i was looking for. They changed their store around which looks better. They are friendly.

Store carries a wide variety of drinks and brands at reasonable prices, especially their bourbon selection, one of the best in the city.

Cold beer prices are reasonable

This is one of the worst liquor stores in the city of Indianapolis. Its parking lot is riddled with annoying beggars and always some type of violent crime happening. The store smells like moth balls and mold. I would not dare visit any store affiliated with the Vandever family as they have several liquor stores throughout Indianapolis and are horrible employers.

When I called the employees out about this the owner said I was threatening him and did not refund the full amount of the order I will not be returning here ever again. Worst customer service ever. Rural Inn has both a liquor store and a bar. The liquor store has one of the best selections of bourbon in Indy and the most store picks. They also have a great beer selection. The bar side also has a great bourbon selection. Its clean and the service is good. The neighborhood is a little rough, so you may run into some interesting characters.

Ray is AMAZING.Plan on stopping in while he is working, and he will treat you like a real guest! Sample bourbons all afternoon, until you find exactly what you love. Rays knowledge of bourbon is phenomenal! I cant wait to come back!

Prices were fair / decent... the liquor department is not very extensive and they didnt carry the liqueur I was looking for but they gave me suggestions where I should look elsewhere.

Rural Inn is a really cool place! When youre driving to it you wont be sure its great but believe me it is. We searched for specialty whiskey places before in Indy and have been to other ones. This one is that much better! Ray is so great! Really knows his stuff. Highly highly recommend going here for your whiskey!

Rural Inn has been around since the mid 40sOne of the cool things about it is that its a bar and a liquor store combinedI recently (2 years) moved to the near Eastside and was told by my neighbors to never go to this place. Theyre great here. Never had a bad time or a problem with anyone who works there. The only bad thing about this place is their door isnt where you park, you have to halfway around the building to get to the door Which if you know the neighborhood ur gonna get asked for a literal pack of cigarettes and more money than I make a week by the time you walk halfway around the building to the door. Overall theyre 95 out of 100

Cant beat the selection or the knowledge. If you know why to go here.... Please stop telling other people! We already have trouble getting what we want.Ray is very generous with local charities. Other business owners could learn a lot from him.
