My 2013 Ford Escape had started to shimmy pretty bad when I would apply the breaks. I figured I needed break pads and rotors. I called Malless to get an estimate for new pads and rotors all around. They gave me a reasonable quote that was right around what the 3 other places I had called gave me. (Except for the dealership I called. Dealerships are always WAY pricier it seams) I’m always a little leery when it comes to taking my car in for repairs because of all the horrible stories you hear of places taking advantage of people. Anyways I made an appointment at Malless and took my car in. I was presently surprised when I got a call and they said the technician test drove my car and felt the shimmy I had mentioned. Rather than just throwing unnecessary and expensive parts and services at my car, the technician checked everything and found the rear pads and rotors were actually fine and the issue was only with the front ones. After calling and getting the go ahead from me, they made only the necessary repairs and my car was ready a couple hours later. Rather than getting a $700+ bill that I was quoted for all four it ended up only being $411.00. My car now stops nice and smooth! I will have no problem calling them if I have any other car troubles.

After being told I would have to leave my car for 5 days before they could even look at it from a local dealership, I remembered seeing great reviews for Malless Auto and so glad I did. Had my car in and out in the same day. Price was reasonable, work guaranteed, employees professional. I will definitely be back.

These guys are great! They fixed my 14 year old Ranger in a day for less than half of what the dealership I got it at was going to. They have earned my loyalty, and I will recommend them highly.

Cant give a good rating at this point. I called and ask for a quote on a very specific repair. They said they would have to call back with a quote. It has been two weeks. They must be having a hard time locating their labor guide or they didnt want the job.

Unfortunately, I cant comment on the work, as I couldnt afford to have the work done. I did feel the pricing was a little excessive compared to others, but they were offering a good warranty. I will say they were friendly to work with and accommodated our need in regards to needing our vehicle towed there quickly, as well as working with us as we arranged a tow to move it elsewhere. If money was no object, I would recommend this shop, as many others have commented on their quality work.

Great people. Good work I was told. But a little over priced. I need one wheel stud replaced. The labor + parts will be $250 they said. Parts at autozone was only $15. Estimates labor should be 30 min, but they need a hour. That understandable if they need more time, but $200 per hr for labor. Kinda expensive.

Ive used Malless Automotive for several years to do variety of repairs on my vehicles. I feel they are very professional and honest, and their pricing is very fair. My personal wish for them is to be open on weekends (at least for half a day) since it is not always possible for me to bring my cars to the shop during weekdays :-)

I was told by a different auto place (where I bought my tires and get them rotated) that I needed new brakes and given a quote. Ive gone to Malless for several years and have always trusted them. They did their own inspection and gave me a quote that was below the other one. The work was done promptly and Im very satisfied. All other car places make me feel like Im being taken advantage of because Im female or perhaps just because they want to make a buck on someone without a lot of expertise about cars. Ive never felt that way at Malless. I highly recommend Malless!

Had never been to Malless before. I wanted a certain battery and they ordered it for me. Set an appointment when it came in. They were right on time and got me in and out in 20 minutes. Was also impressed by their pandemic safety precautions. Will definitely use them again when the need arises.

My husband took my car in due to it running very poorly. After I picked up the car there was still an issue with it. I called the shop and they had me bring it back in for further inspection. They found the timing belt tensioner was not applying enough pressure and it was skipping timing. They should have charged me for at least the tensioner and most shops would have charged me for the labor also to do it again. They did not. Mine could have been a special case in due to how it worked out, however they went above and beyond what was expected and I can not recommend them more. If you need an automotive repair shop, it would be better to wait for an appointment with Malless then go some where else!!!!

Malless is an auto service garage you can trust. They are very detailed in their explanations of repairs and give you the estimate to the penny of what you will pay. No surprises. They are true pros and do the work in a very timely way. I have used them for a few years and will continue using them for all auto repairs and maintenance.

Took my 2012 Chevy Avalanche here because there was noise coming from the front end. They were able to determine it was the FR DIFF. This was the same result that I got from Bill Estes Chevy just north of here. The BIG difference was the communication. They were able to explain that they heard the noise on the road and then they RECREATED the noise on the rack. This was well worth the $50 to me. Bill Estes just said they heard the noise but would need to charge $350 to tear down the DIFF and inspect after paying $150 for the diagnostic. I believe there was a lot of extra value in them recreating the noise while on the rack and being able to eliminate the noise by turning off Auto 4WD. I was not comfortable with Bill Estes when they just took it for a drive and said We think its coming from the FR DIFF but we need to tear it down without adding more detail about their investigation. So at a third of the cost and much more defined results they will be getting my future business and I encourage you to give them a try!-Very happy with the work they have done for me since the initial review. I still recommend giving them a shot.

These gentlemen are so great. Even though I am a women, they treat me with absolute respect and explain things to me as if I was their peer. They never overcharge me for services and have saved me a great deal of money when they said my car had a recall that could be fixed for free my the dealership. If referred a lot of people to their business and I will continue to use them for all my car needs.

Couple of years ago I needed to have a timing chain replaced. I had to work the next day so they let me use one of their vehicles so I could get to work. I thought that was great. The service was good . Their kinda pricey but I guess the use of their vehicle made up for that. Im a satisfied customer.

These guys are the best in the city! I have been relying on them for 10 years to service 5 vehicles. Their prices match industry standards but their honesty, integrity and work quality far exceeds all others I have dealt with in Indianapolis. In my most recent repair my son’s Chevy Cruze suffered a major burn out of the car’s computer (ECU) which required replacement, rewiring of the harness, and reprogramming. 50 miles after this, the ignition coils burned out requiring a tow and coil replacement. The tow was covered by the warranty MallessAuto gives free of charge with major repairs and they replaced the ignition coils for no charge (the two repairs were not related to each other). Thanks Malless for unusually great service!

For 10 years Ive taken my car to the dealership where I bought it new. As my car has aged, its needs have also changed. The dealership just couldnt seem to keep up, and they even left me in a dangerous position with brakes that they swore were okay but clearly were not. Malless believed me and took care of the problem. Their care and help won my business, and I just took my car there for its 120,000 mile service. Closer to home. Responsive. Honest. Helpful. Price is the same or better. Works for me!

I recently moved to Indianapolis and needed a service shop to maintain my vehicle. I tried the local dealer and was very disappointed in their service. I reached out to several places to see if they would work on my vehicle type. Malless responses to me quickly and with detail. I was pleasantly surprised and brought my vehicle in to try them out. Not only did I feel like a valuable customer from the time I walked in but my service was done quickly and accurately. I didn’t feel pressured or pushed to do any services I didn’t want but they did review my car with me for thoughts in the future. I truly enjoyed my experience there and am now a Malless customer.

Expert mechanics doing quality work every time without the runaround.

I towed my car here a couple of weeks ago because it wouldn’t start. Before my car was dropped off, the tow truck driver took a look, checked my battery, that was fine. He got it to start by tapping the starter with metal. He seemed very confident that it was a bad starter. So I take it to Malless and told them this information, but they insisted that I get it diagnosed for $50 just in case. So I take they’re advice trusting they would be fair and honest. They say it turns out to be my terminal ends and they need to be replaced. I did this trusting them. However, not even two weeks later it wouldn’t start, wouldn’t turn over in the exact same manner as the last time two weeks prior. I took it there again thinking that they would get it fixed because it was clearly misdiagnosed. Instead I was charged another diagnosis fee to tell me what I already knew. It was a bad starter. Speaking to other people with more car experience informed me that they should have been able to catch this in the first diagnosis. They’re price to replace it was extremely high. Almost $700. I called around for estimates at 5 different places and every single place was under $415. I took it to a different mechanic and got it replaced for $300. My concerns about the starter were never addressed and I truly believe that I was misdiagnosed. It’s clear that their prices were far too high and do not match the service.

I called on a Monday to inquire about my vehicle, and they had me in on Thursday. I got a loaner car while they worked on mine and a military discount. The work was done the same day and my car runs well. The shop was clean and the staff was courteous. I will be back for any other repairs on my Saab.

I’ve been a customer there for around 12 years. Early on, I used to obtain quotes for the services in order to compare prices. Malless has always been comparable, if not a little cheaper. I’ve never had any issues with the repairs on my vehicles. They do great work and are honest in pricing and in communicating the repairs needed.The only negative for me is the business isn’t located closer to where I live.I have used other auto servicing Companies, such as Midas and Firestone and I still question whether I really needed some repairs and/or services or if I was just told something false so they could get more money from me. I have never had that feeling at Malless.

I recently had an issue with my vehicle that I thought was from the front struts. I had it checked out with the dealership along with several other warranty items to be fixed. They told me the struts were fine and the noise was just from the age of the vehicle and that it may take several new suspension components to make the noise go away. I decided to only do the warranty work at the dealer and have the front end checked out at Malless. Guess what! The noise was diagnosed as the struts just like I had thought. Two brand new struts later and the noise is gone! The truck rides better than it has in years. These guys are doing it right here at Malless! Give them a try...you will not be disappointed!

I took my car in for computer issues. Despite not having an appointment, they got me in the same day. The owner even drove me back and forth from my apartment so I did not have to try and work in the loud shop. Because of the issue and the age of my car, they thought the repair would be covered under warranty by the dealership. It was so they saved me a significant amount of money!!!! Great service would recommend anytime.

My vans parking brake cable snapped last week. I took the van to Malless and asked them to check the brakes since theyd seemed soft for a long time and to replace a failing oxygen sensor. They found frozen-up brake components and were able to get everything fixed in time for me to use the van again at 4:00pm to transport 14 students.

If you live close by they have a shuttle service during certain hours to enable you to get home after you drop your car off .
