Usually take all of cylinder heads to components machine, very satisfied with their work and prices, only issue is waiting time which take longer than delivery time always
They have always done me right...took my heads in to get milled and Tom had them ready for me the next day!
Great customer service and does wonderful work
Went there, was closed. Middle of the day. Called 3 times, left messages. No answer.
My family has been bringing engines to this shop since the early 1980s. They come back perfect every time. These guys are incredibly knowledgeable, and well researched. Prices are awesome. Staff is always friendly!
Used this place several times for complete engine rebuild and head work also and havent had any problems. Nice guys and good work!!
I took my 318 in for a stock long block rebuild with rv cam upgrade in january, They said it would be done in two weeks. 5 weeks later I got my engine back. After getting it home I found that I was missing the oil pan, dipstick, oil filter adapter plate, and cam gear that turns the distributor. I went back for the parts and I learned that the guy that built my engine had been arrested and didnt know when hed return. They finally found all missing parts but the dipstick. He gave me $20 to reimburse the dipstick. 800 miles later the engine began leaking oil, loosing power by the mile, and overheating. Everything was new on my end and timing set perfectly. I went to Component Machines to see if they would stand behind their product. He said theres not much he could do, but if I took the engine back out and brought it to him hed look at it. I was not going to spend the time and money to pull the engine when it was their mistakes. I would not recommend this shop for a rebuild. Im out $1200+ and a lot of wasted time. Unfortunately research lied to me on this purchase.
