We love love love the meadows! They have the best blueberry Sunday Ive ever eaten! Not too sweet but perfectly balanced with the vanilla custard. My husband had the chocolate chip cookie Sunday which he loved. Our daughter had a Sunday and the other a coconut milkshake. We always love the custard and the service is always top-notch. 30 stars. I recommend this place to everyone!

Ordered 2 large hot fudge sundaes 🍨 with nuts and a qt. of vanilla ice cream for home.Was handed a cup of ice cream and 2 hot fudge sundaes without nuts. Sorry wasnt busy there. Just a shame. I had heard good things about this place and my 1st experience was terrible.

Please, if you come here for the very first time.....order a small cone or expect brain freeze from attempting to eat your cone before the ice cream melts! Absolutely, the largest cones anywhere.....not the cone itself, but the amount of ice on it! The staff are pleasant and you will want to take a container home, the ice cream is just that good!

This was our first time stopping at this place. As we pulled up there was a long line of approximately 20 people in front of us so we figured it had to be good especially since it was a chilly ugly type of day with high winds and spotty rain. The line moved fast and we were waited on in less then 5 minutes, the Sundays we got were definitely worth the wait. The custard was very rich, and smooth along with the hot fudge being perfect. Well definitely stop again on our way through Indiana.

I have given this Meadows site more times than enough that I will drive to New Alexandria…Greensburg or Ebensburg before I go here again…The Peanut Butter/Oreo Ice Cream…it was so greasy that I dumped it….the Pistachio was like drinking green milk with about 3 nuts in it, the Dark Cherry Vanilla had 1 cherry in it…I have no clue who took this place over but they have literally ruined it…you can stand and wait as they walk past you numerous times without waiting on you…

You can never go wrong with Meadows! Its been a tradition for a while now for my friend group to come here after school events, a tradition thats lived on for years before me, and will continue years after. Their flavors are varied, so I can always find something I like on the menu. Their specialty desserts are great as well, I try to get something different each time I come here and never leave disappointed.

Shake was good but really wanted a sundae. Had a coupon to buy any shake it sundae and get one free. Any!! Only offered three types and not the specialty. The fact that I would have paid more for the sundae than I did for the shake still baffles me why they wouldnt have wanted to do that

Frozen yogurt was very tasty, and give you a huge amount! I had a small peanut butter cup yogurt, and it was the size of a medium at other places. Someone else got a medium fluffernutter cone and it was about eight or nine inches tall!

This place is a classic. They have some of the best frozen custard I have ever had. The staff is always friendly. Worth a stop if youve never been there. I have friends that have moved out of the area and if they are back in town while the Meadows is open, they always try and go at least once and more if possible

Meadows is a local chain of custard stands based out of Altoona. They make a true custard which is thicker and heavier than ice cream. The Indiana location is a very popular locally. Their portions are big. My wife likes a baby portion - one scoop. They always have chocolate and vanilla plus two rotating flavors of the day. They also serve frozen yogurt.

Delicious chocolate ice cream on a summer day

Ordered a milkshake, paid $3.80. It was solid ice cream. I take it back to the window and they say they wont add milk or anything to make it an actual milkshake (like I paid for) because its considered an additional charge since theyd have to use more of their product.. Okay then I should have been refunded for the product that I paid for since it wasnt used in my milkshake. I can turn my shake upside down with a spoon in it without anything falling or pouring out like a shake should. The only thing the offered was a spoon. If I wanted a blizzard I would have gone to dairy queen for one. Maybe next time I go to meadows Ill order a CUP of ice cream and theyll make me a milkshake! Never had a problem before and Ive ordered a milkshake before and it was made so it went through a straw like it should. (Posted the photo under photos)
