Absolutely loved this place. I recently went into buy/rent a cello. They were so nice and friendly. They were very helpful in explaining their rental program, how to care for the instrument, and making sure I had everything I needed. They gave me a list of teachers in the area that I could learn from. The shop is beautiful and full of breathtaking instruments. The pictures do not do it justice. I am no professional, but the prices seemed fair. They even helped me take everything out to my car. I will absolutely be back for all my cello needs.

We rented a viola from Wyatt so our daughter could join her school orchestra and couldnt be happier with the service and rental program. It is a little more expensive than other rental businesses, but you build up equity towards purchasing an instrument if youre interested and repairs are included. I know nothing when it comes to music and instruments, but the staff is extremely helpful and doesnt make me feel clueless.

I wish I could give them 6 stars. We found Wyatt about 2 years ago while looking for a new violin for my son. We had been KC strings customers for years but decided to take the drive out to Independence. It was well worth it! The selection is excellent and Matt, the owner knows the history and nuances of every instrument in the shop. I would venture to say that hes the most helpful and knowledgeable strings man in KC. It wasnt just a violin purchase, it was an educational experience.Kristen (Who also works at the shop) is now instructing our daughters. She is just amazing in her patience and pleasant demeanor.Through and through, Wyatt Violin Shop is just a great experience!

Great experience. The Staff are nice polite people. They took time to show several violins and allow me to try them all to decide which one I wanted. They have a wide variety of instruments and will allow you to make payments, and they take trade ins. Very friendly and cordial atmosphere.

I purchased my sons first violin as a rent to own, from Wyatt Violin Shop in 2010. At that time there were six to select from. Matt had my son try each of them out. My son selected his violin by how the sound resonated to him. My son still loves his first violin, but needed to move up from a student, violin moving toward a professional violin. We had moved from Missouri to Colorado. There are quality violin shops, and I looked at violins there, but for the customer service and quality I made the decision to contact the Wyatt Violin Shop. After talking over what type of music my son was playing and the Wyatts own expertise, they shipped a violin to me. I highly recommend the Wyatt Violin Shop, they strive to find what works for the customer.

I went with a friend, to get a couple fiddles & a stand up bass, appraisal. Matt, his Dad & another worker, were SO easy to talk to & was a very interesting experience. &- I dont even play an instrument.

They were very helpful helping my daughter get set up with a violin. They were not pushy at all and provided very helpful direction.

They are closed on mondays, I didnt know this, but the guy running the shop let me in so that I could buy the one string that me childs violin needed for an event that my child had during the school day. Great customer service
