I highly recommend Riverbend Rock and Mulch. I was having rock delivered to two different areas and not only did the driver split the load for me but he spread it out as he dumped it. He saved me hours of time and even returned some rock that I didnt use for a refund. I would definitely use them again in the future. The pictures are how the rock looked before I raked it out.
Spent $500+ on gravel, have had multiple other companies come in the past and “drop spread” gravel before with much better execution. This was a bad experience given the poor spread, bad calculation of gravel based on adequate measurements given and the fact that they pulled a wire down while doing the drop, getting stuck in the driveway themselves given the poor drop and tons of loose gravel. They came back out after multiple calls to help pack it but it was one person raking for 4 minutes till the rain came then they left. I have it all on video and had to call the power and cable companies multiple times and tried working with this company but continued poor communication and execution here is unfortunate. Again we’ve had other companies do the same job for cheaper, better quality work, and not leaving us high and dry like this company. Multiple calls to them and not a serious care about our situation. Hate giving anyone 1 star but want to warn others as this hasn’t been resolved after 3 weeks and 5 plus calls and $500+
I purchased $500 worth of stone. Spoke with someone on phone while looking at website to find someone in town that had more of an existing stone we already had. I needed more to fill in bare spots in our new home.From my description- she said it sounded like a particular one. I looked at their pics on the website. Explained mine looked nothing like that. I found another one & told her my present stone looked like their red granite. Was never advised to drive there to confirm prior to purchase. I expected the stone to look like the pic used to represent the product. What arrived was nothing like the pictures on the website.Solution offered to me was 10% off stone not total ticket...take it or get nothing.My experience has always been to deal with small businesses vs. Corp .....However...in the future...I will try another business. And not return to this one.
What a great experience! I just had Riverbend Rock and Mulch drop off 10 tons of 3-6 Iowa/Missouri River Rock. I look back from the beginning of meeting their sales rep. (very professional and courteous), walking through the yard with me for 30 minutes, answering all of my questions, and the actual delivery. Everyone along the way treated me that this one-time order was just as important as if I was a contractor always using their service. I went out of my way from Overland Park, KS to Independence, MO, for their excellent service. It was worth the time and money. Thank you!
I found them online. Their prices beat the competition by a lot. Katie was very helpful in showing us the rock choices on display so we could decide which one we wanted in our rock gardens. It really helped seeing them in a setting that mimics what it would actually like at home adverse to a seeing them in a pile. Even though they have pictures on. Their website and piles that you can drive around and look at, it looks different in person and washed. The colors just don’t show through in the stock piles.We have gotten 3 loads so far and have been very happy with the 2 bobcat drivers who loaded our truck. We have a short, short bed and they both did an excellent job keeping the rock in the bed while loading.Highly recommend this place.😌
WOW!! TALK ABOUT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH FAIR PRICES!! We own Wynbrick Mansion and needed mulch in a hurry, Riverbend brought us a load that very day! We had two loads or 22 yards. The delivery person was professional, friendly, and gave us insight into where the load should be placed in the parking lot.
I wouldnt go anywhere else. Riverbend staff are the best. Delivered rock when promised and sent help, Austin, within 2 hrs of my calling back to say the job was too much for my husband and I to spread it all. It was nearly closing time the day before Easter holiday and they were under no obligation as it was only a delivery job for them. Thats old fashioned customer service and kindness. Just had Ozark rock installed (with weed barrier) around my home. An estimate was given over the phone and the job was scheduled in a day! The crew of three guys were on time, professional, and fast.I had underestimated the amount of rock needed so they had to return (the same day) with more to finish.I would definitely recommend. Looking to use them in the spring for a new retaining wall. Thanks Riverbend!

They have options galore. I just went for their mulch but I have a few other planned projects after checking out what they have. Dont settle for the cheap chain store rocks, they have some thick ones that will last!

I went here on a Sunday because my other local store was closed. So glad i did. Family owned. Very nice people. Friendly, but not overly friendly trying to sell you on a certain product. Easy to find and great prices. What more could you want from a place with all your landscaping needs. And if they dont have it. They will get it for you.
I’m was super excited to find River Bend Rock and Mulch! Great guys with amazing customer service. They were great with my recent delivery of mulch, placing it in tight location preventing me with a big mess to clean-up. Their prices can’t be beat and they are in a convenient location right on 291 between Independence and Liberty.
These guys are brand new, and they have the best prices on mulch and gravel in Independence or Liberty, and theyll deliver it anywhere in town. Theyre super helpful too, definitely worth stopping by, esp. since its right on my way home off 291.
After years of having water run from the street down our driveway and into our garage, we had our driveway restructured and in doing so we lost our concrete barrier seperating our gravel from the grass. With cell phone pictures we took our first trip to River Bend Rock, we spoke to Jeremy and he patiently explained how to do the project. We gave Jeremy our measurements and our material came out perfect. The delivery fee is well worth it, we had to handle the stones only once. Their prices are in line with our local box stores but River Bend product and service is exceptional. Jeremy even came by and helped with cutting a few stones for better placement. We look forward to working with River Bend Rock on future projects, and we do have several in mind. We highly recommend River Bend Rock..Thank you, Alan and Martha
Was unwilling to deliver in one load 2 half scoops. So 2 delivery charges for a 2 mile drive at over $100. No thanks.
My first trip to this store to get mulch. The employees were very friendly and loaded my truck with care. Their price was very competitive and the product quality was excellent! I will be back for stone and topsoil!

This is a great company run by good people. We ordered pea gravel for our grandkids playground, and it was delivered right on time! The dump truck dropped the pea gravel very close to the edge of the playground with very little cleanup necessary in the grass. I will recommend Riverbend Rock and Mulch every time!

Im a little partial to this place as its my Nephew & my Brother along with my Cousin operating the bussiness! They have a wide variety of gravels & mulch, along with many pavers & landscaping stonrmes too. They try very hard to make the deliveries in a timely manner too!
This company came to deliver dirt to our property & refused to deliver the dirt where we had a tarp set up in our grass. We moved the tarp to the other side of the driveway per the drivers request & the driver broke our driveway! Half of our driveway has a giant hole in it, the driver then asked us to sign a release of liability AFTER he damaged our driveway (which we didn’t sign), continues to deliver the dirt, drives off & wouldn’t return any of our calls. A salesman finally calls back and says they’re not going to do anything about it and hung up!
My husband and I purchased some stones for a retaining wall for our house from this company last Saturday. We were told the were $5.80 a layer and .68 piece. We thought the price sounded low so we confirmed the price with a second person and asked them to write that down. We purchased the stone and said we would be back that day to pick them up. When we returned to pick them up we again cofirmed the price and then asked them to instead deliever the product to us and then we paid for the delievery. They said they would deliever that following Wednesday. We spent all of Sunday and Monday ripping out all of our landscapping, bushes, rock etc. Then on the morning of delivery they called to say they would not be delievering the rock they had charged us the wrong price. We expained to them we had verified the price with more than one person and had already ripped out all our landscapping. The owner did not care. Now we are stuck with all of our landscapping having been ripped out and no stone. LOSER COMPANY !!!
