The staff here is very knowledgeable and honest. I had to take two vehicles in for inspections and have some minimal repairs to be up to Missouri state code. They were able to get my vehicles in and complete within two days. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my cars to this place for 20-some years. In all that time Rob has been the General Manager and has always been patient and fair with me. If I have an issue or a question, he always takes the time to answer it & explain what needs to be done. This is definitely not the cheapest place around, but I do feel they are honest and do a good job. And they certainly are nowhere near as expensive as a dealership! I recently had my 20-year-old Toyota RAV4 towed in for what turned out to be a crankshaft position sensor. The shop was crazy busy at that time & didn’t even get a chance to look at my car until the end of the second day. Then they received a bad replacement part, which further delayed things. I got my car back on the fourth day, and the total cost was $578, even with a 5% discount. Still, I discussed the charges with Rob, and I’m convinced that they all were legitimate. Let’s face it: cars can be expensive to own & maintain. Sometimes the repairs will cost a lot, and sometimes you get by relatively unscathed. But I do believe that KC Complete in Independence is one of the best car repair places in the area.

This is the first time Ive used this company! I will definitely come back to them they are excellent! Very professional and very reasonably priced! I had a tire that needed to be replaced and one of the lug nuts was absolutely impossible for me to take off so I took my car to KC Complete Auto Service and they replaced the lug nut with another one after replacing my tire. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company and their staff!

My car brakes on the front drivers side suddenly had bad grinding - no gradual sound for a warning. It was critical to have my brakes fixed ASAP. I contacted 5,6 shops nearby to get quotes. I was shocked by the price given to me by every shop since I havent had to replace brakes on a car in over 25 years.KC Complete gave me a quote but also took the time to explain everything they do on brake repair.The price they quoted was a less than most shops, and a little more than others.KC couldnt work me in for 2 days. I told them I found a shop that was $50 less and could get my car in same day.The man I was talking to said Be sure you know what type pads they use, warranty,etc.I decided while talking to him to make appt. Im very happy with them. They kept me updated on my car, got my car done the day I came in,and all staff was professional yet friendly.Ive found my car repair shop for all future needs!

They replaced my Right side Exhaust Manifold for a noise on startups. Did a great job and did it quickly, at a good price. Great customer service. I will be back with future repairs when need be. thank you

Moved from another state and getting vehicles registered in MO. I walked in for a Missouri Vehicle Inspection. They told me I only needed an ID/OD instead of full inspection. Promised me he could get to it in an hour. The other places I had stopped at didnt tell me that. I came back in an hour, and got right in and out in less than 10 minutes. Very nice and friendly.

Told me they have my car done by 2 days talked all cocky and bragged like theyre professional and havent even touch my vehicle. Made every excuse to get you to pull and pay more for trash quality work and my car still doesnt sound the same, my brother touched it and fixed it in 2 hrs.

I called to ask about getting my car inspected. The gentleman with whom I spoke was the first person, after 3-4 other phone calls, to ask me some questions. He told me that what I needed was a abbreviated inspection, as I had purchased my car in another state. He told me I could come right over, which I did. Though rain was pouring down, another young man checked out what I needed, which required a couple of trips out to my car. They were friendly and professional the whole time! Fortunately, I work nearby, but I’ve told all my friends and co-workers to go there, regardless of what part of the city they live in.

The Independence center in Missouri is my go to mechanic. They accommodated me on my day off, didnt fix things that werent broken and made sure I knew what it is going to cost me before they began the work. I have never taken a vehicle in they could not repair and they have told me when it doesnt need what I took it in for. I have used this mechanic for years, they may not be the cheapest mechanic in town but they are honest about what you need and have gone above and beyond to ensure I have a running vehicle. The cheapest service is not always the best anyway, just thought it worth mentioning as some folks are financially challenged, but their prices are fair. The guys working there are all professional, helpful and will talk to you about your repairs without acting like you are a dumb girl. I recommend them to anyone asking about mechanic work and will use their services again. Thanks for helping me feel safer on the roads this winter you guys!

Our car failed inspection on 2/22/2021 not by KC Auto. I called to see if I could get the front brakes repaired and have muffler replaced and to check the pipe leading into muffler for leak. Was advised earliest was Tuesday, so made arrangements to drop off Monday night to be taken care of Tuesday. Asked for estimate first because funds are limited. Got a phone call at 8 am to find out what we wanted done. I advised that it was on record as we made arrangements to schedule the work to be done. Was not impressed that they did not check the books first. Then They had not even gotten to it by 11:00 am, but was told on Friday would be done Tuesday so we could get reinspected and tagged. I was reassured that the brakes would be taken care of by the end of the day. I said what about the muffler? They acted like they do not document thing Friday or Tuesday morning. Was not impressed with the customer service presented by the whole staff on Tuesday. We were going to return for other vehicle service but we have decided to look elsewhere. I do not trust that the information I provide will make it to the mechanic team.

Mike and Taryn were amazing ! Customer service was top notch ! I had a bad experience 3 years ago and recently came across a big problem with my sons car. I went ahead to try this company again because of reviews ..when I got there and expressed my concerns of my previous visit and how much I needed to get this car fixed.... they had it diagnosed and fixed in just a few hours of getting concents from me. I always bring my vehicles to KC Complete Auto for repairs. I had taken my 2012 Chevy Equinox to the local Chevy dealership for a recall repair. I was told that my Equinox needed rear brakes and rotors for a cost of $652.00.I knew I could get a better deal and quicker service at KC Complete Auto. I paid less than half for rear brake repairs. And my Equinox was done in good time. I will always bring both my vehicles to this shop.

They were quick and gave an accurate diagnosis.

While calling in an appointment, I caught Rob walking out of the door one night as they were closing, I told him I could easily call back to make an appointment the next morning. He would not have it, and took care of me right then. Exemplary Customer Service. Very rare these days. The service is timely and quality work. I have brought all of my vehicles there for service for 20 years. Excellent work.

They Replaced my 1985 pontiac wagons converter for 711 & put it on rusted pipes when I called them on it they told me they werent told the rest need replaced & when I asked why the converter was costing so much the told me they were expensive funny I couldnt find one for more than 150 so I took the car else where to have the job finished they told me it was a $150 converter all day long & that they would of done the whole job for $500. Never will I use KC auto complete

I’ve come here for the last 5 years. I find them fair, courteous, and professional. I had an issue one time that they could have charged me a lot of money and I would have never known. It was a small adjustment. They took care of it at no charge. I keep coming back because they are the best.

Had an appointment for an inspection. Got to the shop about 20 minutes early, but they were still able to get me in and complete it within 10-15 minutes and get me out early. Friendly staff and I will probably go back to them if I need anything else.

Rob and the team at KC Complete have always been kind and courteous. I think what surprised me the most was the fact that when I returned for my second visit a month after my first visit, Rob called me by name when I walked in the door. Even after a month and several other customers he still remembered my name. I also like the fact they spend time to explain things a little more, to help you understand a little bit. They have reasonable prices, and never sell you things you dont need just to get extra money.

I took my car in to have windows fixed, in cabin filter changed & to see if I needed free on. The windows are fixed, filter changed but now Ac doesnt even work as well as it did before I took it in & the reset switch for my tire sensor is broke. I left a msg waiting for response

My son was in KC on a senior trip when his car started overheating. Our insurance towed it to the closest repair shop that gave us a quote of $1,550. I called Mike and told him the part that was needed and he gave me a quote for half of the original shop. Mike and Zach were so helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ARE RUDE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! MY FRIEND HAD THEM REPLACE HER ALTERNATOR 4 TIMES IN 2 WEEKS, THEY LEFT PARTS OF HER VEHICLE AND ARE REFUSING TO REFUND HER MONEY.

I took my car in for a safety inspection and was completely blown away by how clean everything was and the extreme caution they are taking during this pandemic. I watched them wipe down my car before they got in it and I watched them wipe it down again before I got in it. They opened the door to the front office for me so I didn’t have to. They cleaned my keys when I handed them over and again when they handed them back. I saw them clean all the door handles several times during the short time I was there. The waiting area was spotless and all chairs were spaced well apart. There was hand sanitizer available in several different areas. Every employee I interacted with was friendly, professional, polite and wearing a mask. This type of situation is extremely reassuring for a germophobe like myself. I’ve taken my car there several times in the past and never had a bad experience but today I feel like they’ve outdone themselves. Highly recommend.

KC Complete did such an amazing job! They got us in quickly for our inspection. They didn’t try to find anything wrong to hike up the price, just an honest inspection.They were very welcoming and went above and beyond what they had to do. I had four children with me, and when we walked across the street to McDonald’s for a treat my child lost his flip flop in the intersection. They saw he was upset and quickly ran out and across the crosswalk to retrieve his flip flop. They were so kind. Their waiting room was kid friendly too! It was clean and even had a kid area.We’ve lived here four years and have been looking for an honest and reliable garage. We have finally found it!!!!

I took my mothers car in to be repaired and received excellent service! Rich was very helpful and he takes his time to educate you on every repair. He went above and beyond to get my mothers car done I would highly recommend him and KC Complete Auto.

I went in because my car wouldn’t hold charge, they called and said it was ready to roll but upon my arrival, it wouldn’t start. They gave me a jump and told me to bring it back. I did even though it didn’t fit my schedule, which meant time away from work. I dropped it off and picked it up and it worked for all of 3 days. I had to call a tow truck and was told that it was fine when I left, job was complete and it I wanted it “fixed again” they could do it but it would be an additional charge. This place is a joke, they didn’t get close to fixing the problem

These are my mechanics. Im not sure of all their names, but Rob and Mike are the 2 Im most familiar with and I wont take my cars anywhere else. Its hard to find trustworthy people and even harder to find a trustworthy mechanic but when another shop referred me because they couldnt do the work, I took a gamble and it has been the best decision I ever made regarding my car needs. My whole family only goes here. All 4 of our cars are on their roster for general maintenance and if you need an honest assessment for your car needs, come here...you will be as happy as I am.

KC Complete Auto are an awesome team. They figured out my problem with a very vague description from me. Found it, fixed it and I had my car back the same day. They definitely know their craft and work diligently and professionally to get the job done. Such a delight to deal with, customer service is superb. They answered all my questions and did not pressure me. I will take my car to them everytime!

They wanted to charge me $520 for less than $200 worth of brake pads and rotors :D (not including labor, and the rotors were fine and did not need replacing, btw). I went somewhere else, naturally, and won’t be going back to KC Complete.

Im very impressed with Rob Thompson and his team! I had ran over a sharp object and it sliced my tire and even damaged my rim. Fortunately, I was only a few blocks away to make it to their shop. The service was extraordinarily fast and efficient. I had my new tire ordered and even rim repaired in less than 2 days! Everyone at the shop is so friendly and helpful in every way. The rates are very affordable and if you need credit- no interest for 6 months - approved on the spot (if your credit is good.) Highly recommend this shop for all of your repair needs! KC Complete Auto Service of Independence is auto service at its finest. Rob Thompson and the service technicians are truly amazing. I was told by another auto repair shop that I need rear struts for my vehicle. I shopped around and KC Complete Auto Service of Independence had the best price. I dropped my vehicle off at this shop for repair and got a call from Rob the store manager asking me why I was replacing the rear struts for my vehicle and I informed him of the diagnosis from a different auto repair shop. Shortly, thereafter Rob informed me that my rear struts were perfectly fine and that the issue that my vehicle was misdiagnosed and was actually a loose bolt. This saved me nearly $580.00 dollars and fixed the issue were experiencing. The integrity, honesty, and timely service that I received has made me a KC Complete Auto Service of Independence customer for life.
