SHADY, LYING AND UNTRUSTWORTHY company! A TRUE STATEMENT!!!I I had a transmission rebuild done after two months of taking it back several times for shifting issues on a new Rebuilt transmission, it was still shifting hard and they told me to drive it that it needed to be broke in. The issue never went away and after several attempts for them to look at it in the shop they told me that my warranty was expired. They refused to honor the warranty and their work. And will be taken to the BBB. Also was going to pay with my card and was going to charge me a huge fee that wasnt told up front and would charge me less by using cash. Do not go there.

Good news: Carlos and his team are very friendly. I was rooting for him, and I gave him many chances to correct the issues.Bad news: They never fixed my transmission (2014 Ford Escape). I found this odd and disappointing for a transmission shop to not be able to fix the transmission. Worse, they were nice enough to try to fix it after it continually experienced the same overheating issues. I kept bring the car back to them - which was not an easy task. It takes up a good part of a Saturday, plus I wasnt able to drive on the highway, so you can imagine the trek from Lenexa to Independence and back. All in all, I made about 5 trips and spent countless hours, gas money, and a couple tows, and I had nothing to show for it, except a rebuilt transmission that repeatedly overheated and made the car undrivable. I asked for a refund, or at least a partial refund, but Carlos did not entertain this.

Your best auto service in town.Carlos, the guy who helped me, was was extremely nice and helpful.I stopped by without making an appointment because my front end was shaking, he told me it could be worn brake padsCarlos was so nice that he took time out of his busy schedule (no appointment made ahead of time) and did a brake job same day while i waited in the waiting room, fast and friendly service!

Would not suggest going here. Went to get my radiator put in and they didn’t put it in right. Also cut the serpentine belt and just left it in the top of the engine. They’re super sketchy.

Took it in had it rebuilt was done in less than 24 hours I was a little suspicious but in the truck about a month later it’s leaking try to take it up there they don’t do nothing to it say it’s good.I take it to a second opinion and turns out they didn’t do nothing it hadn’t been rebuilt so I spent 1050 for nothing

I scheduled time to bring my truck in for crank no start condition with oil leak. 2 weeks it sat in their lot in same exact spot gathering dust.

Honestly A great place to buy cars. I bought a car from them and it runs great. Practically new. I wish there was more People like them. I generally dont trust anybody. And They provide great service. If you want something done the right way. Come here and no where else.

My boyfriend recently had his transmission replaced. When he picked it up the transmission was gurgling and grinding. There were oil and grease stains all through the interior. It over all ran worse. We live an hour away and was told to not drive it but to bring it back in. Unfortunately After paying $2800 on a transmission and losing work due to not being able to drive truck we cannot afford to have it towed back up there and even if we could we would not have confidence in their ability to take care of this problem without making it worse. Also this is not a fake review like I have noticed they accuse other bad reviews to be! Its all real and very disappointing!

This was the worst experience I think Ive ever had, I spent 2800$ on a used transmissions, right when I get it back its making a gurgling sound out of the stick shift. Now its leaking and not shifting right. This was a month now. Its worse now then it was when I had them so called fix it. The truck was covered in hand/grease marked all over the interior. He tried to blame me for driving it when he told me not to drive it. Anyway I wouldnt recommend this place if they did the work feee, spent the money not to go here. Its not if, its when you get ripped off.!!!! This is a real customer, even if they say Im noti cant take a picture to show u my bill Dec. 31 2019

Excellent shop! Excellent owner, Carlos! I was given a very high quote from a dealer. I called Carlos and he beat the price by almost half! The work was done on time as promised. Carlos called me multiple times letting me know they were on track. I will use them again and will refer anyone with car issues to them.

Had 3 Acura TLs transmissions rebuilt. 2 had issues shortly after they fixed and they refused to fix. They will butter you up and tell you whatever. Would not do business with them. I would spend more money and have it done by a professional shop. Their response is a desperate attempt. They said they have no records. Dont be fooled by their sleazy way of doing business. I recorded our last encounter, so dont say you dont know who I am.

Told me I needed a new starter and battery they wanted to replace a lot of stuff i really did not need, call certifix for a second opinion.tuns up all i needed was the starter. Got it done within the day and my car works like new!!great honest people and at the right price.would do business again.

Ive been to some good mechanic shops before but these guys have set a new bar of standards in my book. theyve gone well beyond what i would expect any reasonable business to do and and at prices way better than most if not all would offer me. Ill admit i was a little concerned with the cheapness of the quote and aesthetic look of the shop but dont let that fool you. They will treat you right and go out of their way to calm any of your concerns. These people really care about the little guy. If i have any complaint it might be that their finance company is a little slow to finance, i think it took me almost a week but for no credit check its very reasonable. I have 2 $40 payments left on a 1300 transmission rebuild and Ill have paid a little over $1500 in the end for a year.Thank you guys for such great service and customer support.Tom Holaday

Not happy, trust issues with their diagnosis. They said it would be 410.00 to fix it. Wanted my blinker relay replaced and they insisted it was the blinker switch. Fixed it myself for 7.00. I cannot recommend them.

This place totally ripped me off. They did not repair what was leaking but instead created more problems for my car. It sounds worse than when I took it to them and now multiple dashboard lights have come in. They offered to take another look for a fee of course. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!

Bad experience here. Dealer not honest regarding car when selling car, shady inspections, and communication barriers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. Just because you buy a salvage title car does not mean it is ok for you to sell a customer a LEMON! when asked if the car had been in a wreck the answer was NO. When asked what repair was needed I was told a sensor, which it turned out to be WAY MORE!!THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN REPAIRS NEEDED. They take the cars to a place they have set up to pass their cars through inspection despite check engine lights to be on and other issues. Not even a week later the car cannot be driven, the car still has the same mileage as when bought because it is un-repairable.

Dishonest car repair and car sales. They sold me a car that had been in a massive wreck and did not disclose it but had it inspected onsite and gave me a clear inspection which was fraudulent as the car has not been able to drive since I bought it. The check engine lights never went off as they said they would but they passed the car through inspection and refused to allow me a private inspection before I bought it. I am also reporting to Better Business Bureau and wherever else appropriate DONT DO BUSINESS HERE!I should have followed the advice to not use this place but went against my better judgement BIG MISTAKE

The transmission in my Honda went out and after receiving estimates from other shops I decided to search for a new vehicle & sell mine “as is” because the estimates were higher than what I paid for it. While looking for a vehicle on the internet I saw Certafix’s ad, called for a quote, and I’m still so happy I did so!!! They charge a flat fee (vs. labor by the hour) & the cost given to me was 1/2 that of the other estimates — making it more than worthwhile to repair my car rather than buy another. I was only without my car for 3 days and am very pleased with the results! Carlos is friendly and extremely professional, and he took the time to explain what had happened to my transmission & what they’d done to repair it. I HIGHLY recommend this shop and will not hesitate to return in the future should I need other vehicle work!

Had transmission repaired six months ago. Got the car back and it stalled less than two hours after I picked it up. When I called to let them know what happened, they swore up and down it was a bad alternator. After a second opinion, turned out they didnt hook up the electrical conduit correctly after re installing the transmission.Then, recently, once the transmission started acting up again, I took it back since its under warranty, only for them to tell me that someone put the wrong/inferior type of transmission pan on the car when they were the last ones who serviced it!Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE experience. Great people, shoddy workmanship...

Bought a 2005 Honda Civic for my Grandson from Certifix end of December. About a month later he was driving at 70 down the highway and engine started missing out. He pulled off the highway and the engine shut off.Had it towed to Certifix and they notified me the engine had blown up and needed replaced.After talking to them for a few minutes they offered to do all the labor if I would buy a new engine. Not perfect, but definitely better than a lot of places would have done.Overall satisfied with this. Engine now running good. A much better engine than was in it when we bought it.

Im giving you guys 5 stars after denying Earnest at Premier Auto LLCs (9630 E US Hwy 40, Independence, MO 64055) request to patch up a bad engine. Unfortunately, I believe this is what happened to a car I bought from him. After driving the car for 4k miles, the engine leaked oil really bad in three places. I later found that the engine was bad and he sold the car in auction and never gave me an option to pick it up after his mechanic so-called inspected the car to continue paying it off. I was completely scammed and will use your reply to him against him. I knew he had to patch those leaks up. I applaud you guys for not contributing to his bad business practice. He lied about my warranty, lied that he Repossessed the car (He never repossessed the car lmao) and refused anymore money from me because he knew the engine was bad. Collected 4k from me and then refused to continue selling me the car. I hope there are other honest mechanics to stop deceitful people like Earnest at Premier Auto LLC

Good deal for the money spent. They caught a leaking radiator hose after the engine replacement, which is good. They failed to replace an cracked emissions hose, but I supplied the replacement engine, so I guess the hose replacement was on my turf. My 2002 Acura MDX is my baby. Had it since new. At 232,XXX miles started noticing Reverse was weak. I called around to get estimates. Finally on my way to dinner, 5th gear went out. I drove to Certafix and they got me right in. While I was there, I heard them get a Military guys car back on the road for cheap; they had towed it for him and everything. He was really grateful. When I picked up my SUV a few days later, it drove like brand new. Carlos gave me his personal cell phone # and told me to call him if I had any issues. There were none. I just had my 1st oil change since and 3k miles later, its still flawless. The level of customer service and workmanship warranted this review. My 1st google review. You can trust these guys! Bravo.

Stars even being on here is a shame, they had my car twice both for transmission issues with in a months time. The second time my car was there for a week and a half they left a door open over night and left grease in my tan interior. Not to mention got it back my cv axle was messed up and now my car feels like I am driving a machine gun due to continued transmission issues. This place and the employees are a huge joke in fact the laughing stock of the mechanic world

I hope this is okay if not will delete:I recently bought a mercury mountaineer from this place. Well I went and got oil changed then it turned out it needed new calibors. That was $300. Im ok with that I understand when you buy a used vehicle you need to put a lil money in. I get that. So after driving vehicle for six days I go out of town to visit my grandparents and next thing you know I smell something burning and then the vehicle does a popping sound and jerks real bad. Naturally I pull over I was on 70 hwy. I had to pay to get towed contacted the man that sold it to me he was extremely rude. Told me bought as is and thats it. Now granted I know buying as is Is risky but thats all I can afford Im disabled with two kids one of which is disabled as well. So got vehicle in shop and get a call today that the all wheel drive is messed up after we replaced a cv shaft. And the part we need is over $1200. Again I understand buying used BUT the vehicle didnt even last a week.So Im writing this so people are aware and does NOT buy any vehicles from this place. I would hate for this to happen to another person.Its very frustrating enough buying used but when theres many probs its rediculous esp since its a mechanic shop selling it.Pls be aware. Thank you

Stand up shop! They fixed the transmission on my boyfriends Honda, then something malfunctioned. They stood true to their warranty and repaired his vehicle.

Had a friend buy a vehicle from here, her AWD messed up within 6 days, they will not help her in any way shape or form, if you can please avoid this place at all cost!!!!

They wouldnt do the work that was asked...they kept trying to say more work was needed than required and kept trying to up sale me on a motor replacement when it wasnt needed
