The customer service is exceptional, my hats go off to Jarred for his work ethic and great personality. I have been in this store many time in the last 30 days and Jarred has gone above and beyond the call of duty to get my RC’s up n running. I don’t live close in fact I have a hobby town in Waco I could go to but because of Jarred I drive the extra hour to shop at this location.

Its really cool to take my grandson there and spend time with him looking at all the trains.

Yep this place has gone to hell. 3 stars for the employees. Everything else just isnt worth it. Amazon truly a force in the hobby industry.

What a bummer, no wonder theyre closing so many stores (Like specifically the ones in Arlington, and West Fort Worth). Nothing I was looking for and very high prices... I can do special orders myself for far cheaper. Thats of no use to me.

Very helpful and they will make sure if you need any help, they have lots of parts available in store. They do carry lots paint to do your own custom paint job they also have lots different style bodys Lot better then plano hobby shop stores

This place has something for EVERYBODY.. From 1 to 100 years old.. Its awesome and if they dont have in stock what your looking for, They can and will get it for you.. The place is clean and organized. If you visit this place make sure you have time to dilly dally... Because before you know it youve been there a couple hours haha. The staff has GREAT customer service skills! Especially AMY.. Thank you Amy!! Also is very educated on the products they sell here. Nice job you guys!

A great selection of supplies for many hobbies, including plastic models (cars, airplanes, Sci-fi), RC cars, boats and airplanes, and model trains. They have all kinds of paints, brushes, and other tools, as well as everything you need to build a diorama or add lifelike detail to your models scenery. Friendly and helpful staff make shopping easy whether you know exactly what you want or if youre just starting out.Sometimes if youre looking for a specific brand or color of paint, you may need to wait for their resupply since their paints (specifically Tamiya and Mr.Color brands) tend to sell quickly. Testors/Model Master, and Vallejo brand paints usually have a good supply.

We wouldve given them 5 stars because Leon was great! Had great conversation and helped us spend $803.59 to be exact! Saturday 11.07.2020! We will be back because of you! If we were greeted with the other guy who asked us to put in our masks for our protection we wouldve walked right out and find another hobby store! For God sakes we were 3 minutes to checking out! Were healthy and we are not buying the political agenda! 🐑 If I wanted to we couldve walked out then and spent the money on food and/or fruit trees Ive been wanting to buy. But I love my husband and hes been working so hard, so he deserves to buy what ever he wants! But you sir, when you see us, if we really have to go into the shop just dont look at us or talk to us. Loved coming here! My little boy is a huge fan of anything boy related and adored going throughout the store oooing and ahhing over nearly everything! We are very crafty so the model cars really drew me in even more! Prices are a tad on the higher side but still extremely worth every penny! Will be back to get some model cars soon, FOR SURE!!

They had materials for quite a few different hobbies. Some hobbies were better represented than others.They had a big and varied selection of plastic model kits. They also had a big selection of R/C vehicles.This probably isnt the place to go if you are thinking of starting model railroading as I found their selection of sets disappointing. They also had only a few drones on display. Id seen a bigger variety at Walmart.Given the distance from SW Fort Worth, I wont be a regular shopper.

This was our first time in Hobby Town. We were looking for an RC car for a gift and the staff was so helpful. We will definitely be back to support this small local business.

I never thought I would write a positive review of a Hobbytown USA, but this is BY FAR the best one Ive ever been to. To be fair, Im only reviewing their model section, I cant rate them on their RC department, since I only scale model. They have a very nice selection of kits of all types. 1/72-1/32 aircraft, armor, ships, cars, and a large sci fi section. They carry all the big brands, with a lot of Tamiya and Trumpter 1/32 aircraft. Lots of Bandai Gundam kits and the every Bandai Star Wars kit except for the 1/72 Millennium Falcon. Their pricing is on the higher side, but they are in the ballpark of most of the major online sites, which isnt even remotely true for the 5 or 6 other Hobbytowns I have been to. Where this store really shines is their paints/glues/tools section. They are the only brick and mortar hobbystore Ive seen that carriers Tamiyas full acrylic line plus their lacquer spray cans, Testors acrylic and enamel lines, Vallejos full acrylic line plus their weathering sets, AND GSIs full Mr. Color lacquer line and spray cans (Mr. Surfacer 1000 and 1200 in a can!) I also saw a good bit of Alclad and AK metallics, plus a good selection of AKs weathering sets, as well. They seem to have every kind of putty, sander, Exacto blades, Tamiya tape, Tamiya weathering sets, and on and on and on. Again, pricing is a little on the higher side than online, but waiting 3-4 weeks to get Mr Color paints from overseas is worth the higher price to me. The staff is very friendly, and the man I talked to said they were waiting on GSI to send them the new GX lines of their lacquers. I visit this store every time Im in the DFW area. Highly recommend.

Very quaint little hobby shop in Hurst. Its a dying breed because the one in my city is gone. Has legos, gundam, toy trains, anime figures (one small section), paints, car sets, and a robust RC car and Airplane section. I originally came here last year to see if they have warhammer miniatures like the one near me used to have but sadly they do not. There should be warhammer stores nearby in grapevine. I went to go get some painting supplies and they had a wide selection of brushes available, including an air brush set for about $120. I got a brush set for $25 and a special tiny brush for $4. The only downside I found was that there was no primer that I could find. Luckily, theres a home depot 2 minutes down the road.

I have had several great experiences with the staff at this location. Both Jarrod and Keith as well as others have gone out of there way to help me out. Being new to the RC world I have had many questions and the folks at this store have definitely been able to answer all of them! They have also been able to help direct me to buy the cars and trucks to fill my needs. Great Job! Thank you guys!

Took my brand new tamiya Hilux Highlift to hobbytown today to get a few things, cable extensions, look at wheels, tires, servos ect, was immediately greeted by someone and at first it looked like it was going to be a positive experience like the last few times i went in but after i told the guy what i was looking for they started talking down about my rc saying it needed new everything, wheels tires, body, frame, motor, when i asked why they pointed to the toyota logo, i asked what was wrong with toyota cause i like toyota trucks and they just shrugged and said they were just giving me their professional opinion, then they stated that i should have bought a tesla rc car since they are electric as if that was some kind of insult, i mean come on most of the rcs you sell are electric and your going to insult me ? so at this point my blood was boiling i had just come in to get my new rc setup for the weekend, personally i was pretty proud of it i had never spent that kind of money on something for myself before but now that they were talking trash about it, not only did i not buy the parts i drove an hour to purchase i dont even like looking at this thing anymore, i gave this place two stars because my wife and son found things that they like and the guy at the front counter was cool so i figured he was worth another star . it must be nice to have enough customers that you can afford to talk down to people and still keep the doors open, well you lost 5 of em today cause no one in my family will be going in there again, Follow up to store owners response, I have to say i expected a more professional response from the store owner, instead i was accused of being the competition and a liar in an attempt to discredit the truth, im not going to lie its a smart way to go to cover your own behind but on the other hand it shows what kind of person he really is and what i was shown is someone that will go out of his way to avoid any and all blame even if it means taking a dump on his customers, i for one will not do business with an individual of this nature,

Since their profit margins are greater in RC they are not interested in any other legitmate hobby. The prices are at or near full retail you can do much better online with a number of sellers. A recent ownership change has left them unfriendly to the scale modeller. I will not do business here any longer.

Stood at airbrush container for several minutes, got no help. waited in cashier line to request help but then another person asked for something so they abandoned my request for assistance. I still waited several more minutes but still never got any assistance. This place is horrible. Most their stuff is locked up but no assistance is available to help you get what you need.

Just walked in to look around for about 5 minutes. 4 employees were available in different capacities. I was within 4 feet of two of them. Not one of the 4 employees said a thing to me until my hand was on the door leaving where one of them said, “Have a good day.” Well at least I can now have a good day departing that dredge of a shop. Maybe they were having an off day, but it was very underwhelming to say the least.

Very nice and organized, but pricey. I have not been in this store for awhile and was a bit surprised at some of the models prices at $30 + dollars. Did not buy anything due to the high prices. Some of the planes or most of them I understand that they would be highly priced and the remote control boats and cars, but not the plastic put together cars. Very nice store to visit though.

This is a very fun store with a lot of great products. However, what won me over was their customer service! 10/10 recommend for children and ADULTS!

I’ve been into rc for as long as I can remember, but normally at a toy grade level, 20 years ago a $300 rc was a big ask for a kid, but I must say today was a very pleasurable experience in hobby town, the staff was amazing, so helpful not rushing me through my many questions and rambling on about the good ol days of rc.. This crew was wonderful... I will definitely be back, I felt they genuinely wanted to make SURE I got exactly what I came in for.Thanks again 🙏🏽

I stood around for 10 minutes staring at the $3 adapter I needed (behind the counter) to avoid free 1 day shipping getting it online. Employees were busy, one of them was watching another do some work on an RC truck.Response to owner- thank you for your response. Convenience is a huge factor these days with online shopping available. Having parts like this available for customers to browse themselves (not behind the counter) is going to help you on staffing costs and convenience. Probably a great trade off compared to any inventory shrinkage you might see. Or at least make sure your employees are acknowledging waiting customers. Thanks for the empathetic response, I increased my rating.

Pretty solid and good information. Though the drone dude kept failing to notice or acknowledge me standing, waiting, trying to make eye contact. Didnt want to be a jerky and say, hey! Are you going to acknowledge me or could I at least take a number?. Ended up going to the checkout where I got good service.

One of my favorite places! They have everything from surface r/cs to planes and drones, trains and slot cars. Plenty of toys and brain teasers too. Die-cast models and a large assortment of tools and all the necessary materials to compliment your hobby of choice. The staff is usually helpful and knowledgeable but they can get very busy at certain times. All in all a great store.

When you begin a hobby, you are part of there family. They treat you with the upmost respect. Please show kindness and do the same with them, for they have a wonderful crew thats willing to make you happy with the hobby you have chosen and very knowledgable. The kid behind the counter made my girlfriend cry because he was so rude to her.She was there trying to get an RC car repaired as a Christmas gift and called me crying because of how she was treated.He gave her a price to fix the car and when she agreed he said “well, I’m not going to do it.”He then went on to talk to another employee about how he’s not going to waste 6 hours of his life to fix an old RC car.Extremely unprofessional.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Prices are competitive on R/C cars and parts. Its nice to have experts down the road when you have a problem with one of your complicated toys. You could probably save a buck or 2 online, but you wont get expert advice or service like HobbyTown USA. They have all types of toys, games for all ages.

Love Love Love this place. It met all my modeling needs. And has a Great selection in models of all kinds military as well as civilian types. Airplanes ships, tanks cars. Etc. Its clean plenty of isle space. Great inventory of paints and other products. Etc. The staff is friendly helpful and knowledgeable. So Yes I recommend them very much.

This place had everything me and my family needed to keep us occupied during covid-19. On top of that, I loved the store, my wife loved the store, and my kids really loved the store. Since it doesnt usually happen that my entire family likes going into the same store and can find something each person likes I would definitely recommend going to this place.

HobbyTown has the absolute best customer service and the folks that work there are always so helpful. I purchased my son his first TRAXXAS from this location last year and we frequent the shop for parts and tips. Thanks HobbyTown for all you do!

A HobbyTown closed down where I live so my brother and I have to drive down here. Regardless of the distance, it was worth it because of all the gundamns in stock. The employees are also nice and eager to help. Im just disappointed that there isnt one near me :(

The manager Keith and his colleagues were very nice and friendly they helped my 10 year old with his RC car showing him how to work on it and let us have a few spare parts from there personal stash this brightened his day we also had a Rubik’s cube match off which we all enjoyed great place to go for your hobby needs we made a trek from Arlington to get to this store versus other options and we always make this journey kudos!!

Great store, huge selection of different things and a pretty decent selection of replacement RC part of all kind on hand. Even with free 2-day shipping from online retailers its often faster just to swing in here and pickup what I need. Ive come in asking for parts with very little information and theyve always been happy to look it up and find exactly what I need.

Bad service. I did expend 159 dollars on parts for my RF buggy car.Originally was working properly.But one of the receivers got bad and the battery..After the repair. RF car do not work properly.. bought a new receiver, new battery. Did not work properly.Not able to use the car.Talk to the manager.. manager refuse to reimburse the money for the new parts the I just bought from them..It is not the first time this store has a bad service on me .I do not recommend it..

These guys are really great here. Attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. *Edited* I had walked in to ask about a specialty model, and told the guy behind the counter that if I could pull together some extra cash, I might come back and order it. I dropped in the following week, and not seeing the guy, was going to leave. I decided to look around for a minute and discovered he had ordered the model. I took it home that day.

The best experience Ive ever had. Not only are the employees knowledgeable of their product for very helpful with repairs and suggestions. Not to mention Craig help me figure out what was wrong with my sons Traxxas Snap-on Edition RC car with no problem at all.

When searching gun/ammo stores this location comes up, never been here so we did not realize it was a toy store. We called to see if they had 9mm and the kid named Andrew answered and said I think so, can I put you on hold. He sat the phone down and I could hear the employees laughing and cutting up for 9.5 minutes, finally hung up and just went up there (Every other store is out of 9mm) only to find out they were not infact a gun store. When we get there 2 customers are in the store and 4-5 employees, two are at the back door smoking, and 20 minutes later the phone is still off the hook on the cabinet. The employee could have just said we do not sell ammo on the phone! All those employees and not one asked if they could help us or even acknowledged we were there! My wife asked for Andrew and asked why he did not just tell us over the phone they were not that kind of store, and he just stood there and said we get a lot of calls. Rude and disrespectful staff!!

This is a great old school hobby shop. A nice local business that carries all sorts of fun things. Its a great place to shop for gifts, plus theyre the best local source for Estes rockets!

These are good people and they always help me get the parts I need for my Traxxas. I am a noobie to RC cars and they helped me a lot.

No N scale model trains. Very little on my list was in stock. Pretty much rely on buying through the internet.

Most of the time they have what I need. Fair priced. Only wish they were closer to me. Taking one star off because on more than one occasion Ive been told something was in stock, drive the 45 minutes to get there to be told its not in stock. But they were quick to get a solution.
