These guys were awesome, I came in because the siren on my alarm had broken off while changing the headlights. Even though another car toys had installed it (in Colorado) they fixed it for free and got me all set.

The only good thing I can say about this company is they were nice and willing to install my radio the same day I contacted them. The installation and wiring left much to be desired. My radio played on all four speakers with factory radio prior to the install. After the new radio was installed by this company the wiring failed to provide sound to the front two speakers. When I informed the front the desk, the installer said he wired it properly and there was nothing that he could do to correct the problem. When I asked for options to get the radio to play properly the installer told me I would have to pay another $500 on top of the $250 already paid to install the radio. Sounds like a great lifetime radio install wiring warranty from the company. Based on this experience I do not believe I will ever recommend Car Toys for a radio installation.

I’ve been going to Cartoys for 20 years. I’ve had Cartoys work on my cars in WA and TX, and I have received the same great customer service and outstanding sound in all of my vehicles. Special thanks to the staff at Cartoys in Hurst, TX for upgrading the factory sound system in my new 2021 Ford Explorer to a complete JL audio sound system! Anybody looking for an amp upgrade with dsp, JL VXi amps are the way to go! Cartoys installed a JL VX/700i amp in my new Explorer. It completely gave my factory system a comparable, if not better sound quality, than the aftermarket head units that I was accustomed to having in my previous vehicles. I also added a JL 10w3 sub woofer, fiberglassed into the backside rear panel. Special thanks to Ricardo for his outstanding fiberglass work!!! Thanks to Loc on the installs of the amp, speakers, and his overall recommendation for a great system. My sound system maintains its stock look but now has a premium sound. Thanks Cartoys!

Today was the 3rd or 4th time i have worked with my salesman and installer Ken. Loving my new sound in my GMC and my Kensworth! Thank you Ken for doing a Great job on the installation.

They advise for “Free installation, back up camera is included!!” on their website, Total scam. Here is the invoice they just gave me at the store! To have a $300 system they are charging me $425 installation (LAB Miscellaneous) and backup camera wiring!!! Not sure exactly what they mean by free installation but it looks like a total ripoff to me.

I went to Car Toys to inquire about replacing a subwoofer in my car. I spoke with Travis about my options. He listened to what I wanted and made a few recommendations. He let me listen to the speakers I was interested in. Then worked up a quote.I called back the next day to schedule an install. Travis told me he could get me in the same day. I was not expecting that.I took my car in and Jeremy completed the install.It was almost closing time when he was finished, so I took my car home.I was not pleased with the sound of the subwoofer, so I returned to the store the next day. Jeremy was there and took the time to explain what he had done. We adjusted the sound together to my liking. It was very professional and I appreciated the time and care he took explaining it to me.I will continue to use Car Toys in Hurst, TX because they always take care of me.Thank you.

Front the beginning- I was asked what brings me in today. I said my main point and an employee was able to take me step through the process. (Now here I wish there’s was more knowledge and more kick on the sales department/ sometimes we don’t know the possibility or combination that could take a simple audio install into a full on remodel)when everything was selected and price was confirm they paying process was a breeze special thanks to the finance options they offer. After purchase there was not much of customer service( it would help a lot to insure the customer has no questions and that if possible give out and ETA or even keep the customer inform each step and process

Came in to the store to inquire about replacing a speaker mounted in my rear deck of my 2011 audi. Was told they can only replace it if i bring in a factory replacement. I said i dont want a factory replacement, id like an aftermarket replacement (hopefully some speaker sold in your store), but was told “its an audi, its not possible. It has to be a direct factory replacement. We can install a subwoofer with an amp in your trunk as a system on its own, but we can’t replace that speaker in your rear deck unless you have a factory replacement.” Can’t replace factory speakers in an audi?!?!

I had a remote starter put in and it had a problem they fix it a few days later same problem I switched to another brand and they put it in and took out other one I just paid the difference and it has worked great I can start my vehicle from in side walmart. It is the Clifford brand. The guy that helped me was really helpful I will go back to have other things done.

We travel a lot and being able to listen to music on our road trips is super important, it makes the time fly by and sets the scene for our adventures. Justin helped us get set up so that our traveling tunes always sound perfect, hes knowledgeable and honest, will definitely go back for any future cars!

Worst experience ever! A guy whom I thought was a manager Helped us pick out the dash kit needed and head unitthen a girl whom seemed like she might hate life itself charged my credit card $1894 for everything, a week later I have heard nothing about my order and the number that was given to me was a non working number. My husband went up the store and the same girl was there ya know the one that seems like life is and inconvenience to her couldn’t find the dash kit and the head unit I paid for and the one the manager showed us is no longer available. If we want something similar then we would have to pay another $200. After and hour of waiting they find the dash kit, charge the credit card, and the installer said he would get right on the instillation and it should be done tonight. We call up there and the life lover chick so rudely tells us that she “told us it wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow” I understand times are rough but the manner of customer service sucks here! Had we know this was the service we would have gotten we would have never went there.

I had a great experience here today, they helped me pick out the perfect radio upgrade for my car and installed same day, which I was not expecting! Only took a couple of hours and it’s awesome! Highly recommend, they know their stuff!

Mike was very helpful and quick to get the purchase and installation set up and coordinated getting parts from other locations to the store. He was also kind enough to break down all the fees and charges for me which was cool.Lavon killed the install, and got it done in a timely manner. I got a touchscreen receiver installed in a 99 Toyota and it looks totally seamless. The back up camera install was done well too.All in all a good experience, they didn’t give me my stock radio back so if you want to keep your old one make sure you let them know.

Had a self made issue with my Clifford system and couldn’t figure out how to take it out of valet mode. Called the local cartoys and Mike answered and was able to walk me through the fix in about 5 minutes. Thanks again!

They have great equipment for cars but the price is a little bit more then what I expect.

I was looking for expertise, I found staff that was barely informed of what they were talking about it, but the price convinced me to go ahead and I am shocked at the low quality of the product, which i was told was an upgrade from my initial choice. Simply put very underwhelmed customer.

I left saying to myself I wouldnt spend a dime in there based upon the questions I ask and answers I received just on equipment alone. I had just left another audio shop and decided to compare prices, customer service, and General Knowledge.

Car toys put a new speaker system in my car this past Saturday. They did fantastic work and were very courteous and professional. The Saturday before they demonstrated what would be right for my car and were spot on. I highly recommend this location. Fantastic service.

I stopped by to get assistance with connecting my new phone to my existing radio. While I waited inside to be helped, Jack came from outside helping another customer and instantly asked what I needed. He greeted me with the warmest smile that unfortunately is becoming extinct. Jack showed me step by step the setup, and I was able to do my other car when I arrived home. He also gave me great recommendations for when my son and I take our rode trip next weekend. Waited almost 2 weeks after I purchased my stereo for parts, I had to call several times. Now I have to go back because none of the options on my Alpine deck work. On the flip side the installation looks great.

Online says they price match any product, but once in the store they won’t honor the price match guarantee.

Everything needed to upgrade my radio and add a backup camera were in stock. My options and pricing were clearly explained. My appointment was scheduled and executed without a hitch. Last minute changes on my end did not cause any complications, and I am very pleased with the products and service.

I had a truck that badly needed a interior detail they were great from begining to end after received my truck back i was amazed how clean it was. I can recommend this car toys for cleaning details. The process takes 4 to6 hours but its worth it.

Horrible service. Associate was not interested in helping me with any thing I came in looking to purchase a new receiver neither store associate took time to show me any receivers. And the store was empty. After I took a look at some options on my own I came back to the same uninterested to assist me attitude. Honestly I heard this happens to certain guest at this location I figured I would find out if the word was true and it is. They didnt talk prices finance options nothing I asked a few questions got no answers. He literally just told me I dont know and I cant really say to everything I asked it was tough to be treated that way but witness them have a whole diffrent attitude with another customer in the store. Ive bought thousands of dollars worth of sound systems from this store. Ive had to take my vehicle back at least 3 to 4 times to correct the bad install. My last install a month ago my brand new 2016 Honda Pilot was scratched up. I reported the damage and made a claim. After corporate approved the repair, I never got a call from this store informing me my vehicle was approved to have the damage fixed. The manager hasnt returned one phone call or attempted to contact me. Ive made 6 calls so far finally speaking with him today. He claimed he been to busy with other stores, he told me my vehicle wasnt damaged there, and without using the word Liar, I was called a liar. This company has done work for me since 09 and Ive never made any claims of damage. My average purchase is 2000 to 5000 dollars, more than 5 vehicles done over the years never a bogus claim and to be called a Liar is unacceptable. The service has always been terrible but its the closest to my home. After my vehicle gets fixed I will never do business at this location. They like to make there faults the customers and call you the liar. How about just do good work and treat your customers like you value them. A long term repeat customer is the best. Im done with this location. The Bryant Irvin location is the best experience Ive had just far from my home but I will be making that drive from now on. First review ever but its needed. I understand why they rate 2.1 in reviews.

Definitely professionals. They took great care of my baby (18 Ford Raptor). Paint correction and ceramic coating is impecable. The dash cam install flawless with wires tucked away. Will use again in the future. If my wife is reading this, the truck needed this. It would not work without it. 😁

Was quoted a price for installation of a Thinkdash cam recorder by assistant manager at $145.00. At installation the price goes up $50.00 from having cam on the back hood. Price change means I will not go back before having another quote or I might not buy again from them. Price changes need to be explained at purchase and before scheduling appointment. They might have what you want on sale but increase installation. Poor retail customer service.

Great experience! The installer guy (sorry forgot his name) was super nice and knowledgeable! We dropped the Jeep off And went to a movie while they installed it and we weren’t even there an hour and they already called us back to tell us that the jeep was ready. Sean came out to the jeep and showed my wife how to work everything and paired the phone up. Great experience I highly recommend this location!

Walked in about 925am today. Told Chris what I was looking for which was remote start with unlock/lock and he chose what he thought would work for me. I looked through their selection days in advance so I was going to pick it anyway. I asked how long it might take he said earliest maybe in 4 hours but up to close of business which is 9pm. I didnt care I had friend pick/drop me off anyway. Got the call about 5 hours later and it was ready. Chris showed me what to do cause I never had remote start before and I am pleased. Chris and installer were nice and everything worked as intended. No complaints here.

I give it 1 star. The star is only for the politeness. When it comes to quality. I dont think theres a numeric process that could put them on the bottom. Switch panel fell off the same day I got my truck back. The tech evidently cant understand that when someone who is paying $2800 for work. Doesnt want to have to go back, and redo what was wanted themselves. I will probably never go back to car toys. I spent $420 on a 800watt amp there. When I could of went to an actual audio store, and got a 5000watt amp for less than $200. Their work doesnt match the amount of time nor money I put in. Being said I had to leave my truck there for 2 days. Not a good place to have people who went to school for this field to go.

I had a stereo unit installed here about two weeks ago. There a guy at the front named Chris who was helpful with the selection and a guy name John installed the unit and he was super speedy and friendly. I recommend shopping here for your car needs.

My son’s DVD player went out two days before a 14 Hour drive. I called the next day and they got me in, swapped it out and I was out of there in 20 minutes no problem! The shop manager in the store manager brain credibly nine. They saved our vacation!!!!!

The people were friendly, however I was told it would be $489 to install a new stereo in my 2006 Jetta and I went across to Best Buy and got the exact same stereo installed with tax and materials for $287. I just dont understand how they can stay in business being that much different in price... I would definitely shop around.

Great Customer Service!!! Lonnie and Sarah were more than helpful as soon as I walked in the door. I had a wireless headset that was physically damaged and didnt allow the headset to stay in tact. They replaced it for me entirely even though I didnt originally purchase it at their store. Highly recommend doing business with this store, top notch service.

This place sucks! Was told a few hours and it was over 9+ hours. They threw away all boxes and instruction manuals. I was told my subs would sit flush under the rear seat, and it was the exact opposite. They did not set any of it up and when I asked for a demo or some sort of instructions I was brushed off and given zero. I spent over $1200 and recently sold the vehicle they installed everything in. I will go anywhere else now to have my stuff installed properly and hopefully with better customer service.

Received a remote start for my vehicle for Christmas. Scheduled an appointment to have it installed. Showed up at the appointment time to be told they 1. Had staff who called out of their shift. 2. Could not find my appointment. But guess what? I called BEFORE I drove all the way up there to confirm everything was good to go. And they said Yes! Come on in! If it wasn’t for receiving it as a gift, I would have returned the product and walked away not looking back.

This is my second time coming to this location car toys. Man do they take care of you. I brought in my 2008 Harley Cvo that someone else worked on. Car Toys took my bike in and corrected all the gremlins under the fairing. The bike now sounds great and I am ready for the open road again. Thanks to the helpful and knowledgeable staff... We had a stereo installed a few years ago here in my daughters car. I removed what I thought was a blown speaker and brought it down to have it checked and to purchase a new one if it was. Lonnie had it checked and it was fine. Lonnie asked if we could bring the car in sometime to have the system checked. I told him we could but it would be a few months as my daughter was headed back to school the next morning and would be taking her car. Even though it was late in the afternoon, Lonnie said bring it in and they would get it diagnosed. Long story short we brought in, they found a short and fixed it. My daughter was very happy now that she could listen to her radio on her long drive to school. I just want to say that I was very happy with Lonnie, his professionalism, willingness and desire to go the extra mile to do all he could do assist usThank you Lonnie!Mark C

I recently bought a stereo system from Car Toys. Ive been to 5 different places looking at upper end equipment. The reason I decided to spend my money at Car Toys was the sales rep, Benjamin. As soon as he finished with his current customer, he greeted me and asked if I needed any help. He was polite, knowledgeable, and was not a high pressure sales person, which I liked. He also showed that he wasnt trying to take me for every dime I had. He told me which items would give me the biggest impact for my money and which ones I probably wouldt even be able to tell the difference for the extra money. He continues to be very reliable as I need other items for the install, or if I just have a question. He was also honest. When he didnt know an answer, he didnt just wing it. He brought over one of their installers, Brad, who was very knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions and give me some tips I didnt even think to ask. He also gave recommendations on what to spend money on and what wasnt worth the extra money. If i wasnt a do it yourself type of person, I would have definitely had Brad do the install. These guys are very professional! For anyone thinking about some stereo equipment, you need to talk to Benjamin and if you like to relax and have someone else do the install that you can trust, ask for Brad!

Very disappointed in their inability to handle more than a few cars a day for installations. They wont take an appointment so its 1st come 1st serve. When I bought the remote start the salesman said just drop by anytime and it will take a couple of hours. When I showed up last weekend at 10am, they told me I would have to leave the vehicle overnight. I showed up this morning as they opened, was about 10th in line. After about 15 minutes, they had gone through 8 customers and the manager announced they were not taking any more vehicles for installation unless it could be left until 6pm tomorrow. I live an hour away so its not an option to drop off the car overnight.

Recently purchased subs for my vehicle and had the best experience with Ben H. Not only was his enthusiasm contagious, he helped me stay within my budget and educated me on the different types of set-ups. Three thumbs up!

So I went to this car toys to get my speakers hooked up. I bought a car that previously had a subwoofer and the person took it out but didnt reconnect anything. The guys were pretty straight forward about it they told me exactly what happened and why I wasnt getting sound. They quoted me a price to take out all the wiring. But at the last minute he was like itd be better just to hook up the speakers and leave the wiring in so if I want an amp later itd be in there already and Id of have to pay 45 today. Unfortunately they were super busy and advised itd be 2 to 3 hrs before they could do it. Which wasnt their fault it was midday on a Saturday. Unfortunately once I had time to do it I was closer to another car toys in Arlington off Cooper and I 20. And I was like they should be as nice as this car toys. Nope. They tried extremely hard to convince me to buy extra things pretty much telling me Im stupid for just getting the speakers hooked up. And when I told them I had already got a quote they were like well honor it as long as it doesnt go against corporates guidelines and then proceed to tell me Id have to pay More than the 45 dollars. Luckily the first car toys I went to wrote it on the paper what each charge was for and what Id have to pay and they honored it. If I wasnt so busy I would have left that car toys to go to this one since they were way more honest and didnt try to force any sales. In the future Ill go to them for my audio needs

I have come 2 different times to get a radio amp and sub installed and they do a perfect job and its all under a reasonable price! The workers are very friendly and they get the installation done real quick. If you ever need a new music system installed these are the guys you need to go to.

The magnetic car charger falls off the dash board. The wind shield mounted ones work good. They also give estimates for hard wired camera mounting for front and rear video recording. Helps figure out whos really at fault for accidents. Has stealth mode to record while at home when car is off, to capture the image of the potential car thief. They added a tow hitch to my mini van years back. This is as good or better than best buy for car specific needs.

Had speakers put in back in March and had a radio put in about a month ago. They are very nice and helpful. However I recently just came in because one of my speakers makes a weird crackle/static kind of noise like a blown speaker or maybe a connection issue. They said it was fixed and when I came to pick up my car they didn’t tell me what was the issue and just gave me my keys. On my way home the speaker was still doing the same thing. Sucks because my speakers are under warranty and I paid a lot at this place and they couldn’t fix my issue.
