My wife and I recently bought a special order birthday cake for our son from this store. We had it specifically made because we wanted a cake that had banana, and whipped cream filling ONLY. the order was placed by phone with an associate at the store. When we got the cake it had no banana and some peach and other fruit in it. We brought the cake back and the staff took a picture of it and left the picture with a note for the manager and told us the manager would get back to us the next morning. We never received a phone call back. When my wife eventually called back, the manager, I presume, gave her a tough time saying that they could not find the original order and basically she could do nothing. We reminded her that this was a special order, that we specifically talked to someone about it and that if they couldnt find the order on their side that was their problem. BOTTOM LINE: THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS ATROCIOUS. We paid extra for this custom cake and they would not refund us our money. DO NOT FREQUENT THIS STORE BECAUSE IF THERE IS AN ISSUE THEY WILL NOT RESOLVE. THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE

Amazing pastries/baked goods and even better customer service! We got an assortment of cookies and cakes, and I was impressed with all of it! The cookies are huge and the pastries are fresh. Francesco, the owner, is an absolute gem - he is great with customers and makes sure you are satisfied with everything. If you are in the Huntington area and looking for something sweet, definitely stop here! It gets my full recommendation.

Always loved the butter cooky in floral park now theyve opened one in Huntington... Lucky us. The desserts are fabulous... Especially love the miniture cakes which let you sample them bf ordering larger size... However I dont think you can go wrong with any of them. My personal favourite is the fruit filled cake. Moist white cake with layers of custard and filled with fresh fruit topped with fresh whipped cream icing. Now the bakery opened the cafe where you can order breakfast or lunch items. Ive had both... The paninis are awesome as well as the breakfast sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised with freshly made ingredients... Nothing frozen or microwaved. May have been the freshest ommelette Ive ever had. Hesitated to write a review bc I dont want to wait to get in if the word gets out.Update... Been back several times and everything is fabulous... May be best breakfast/lunch option in Huntington.

What a GEM! So glad I found this spot in Huntington. My friends recommended it to me and I am THRILLED!! So happy they have outdoor space. Their coffee is great, the rainbow cookies are delicious, the whole store is GORGEOUS! I feel like I am in Europe WOW. Love it. Very nice owner. He helped me make a last minute large order and ensured it was ready by the time I requested. They went above and beyond with detail. Highly highly recommend!!!

They even offer a small kitchen that makes breakfast sandwiches, luncheon wraps and pressed paninis and even soups and salads that are fresh and tasty.The owner, Francesco, is a young gentleman who loves what he does and he does it well. I never really write reviews but I felt compelled because I did not care for the way I was treated at this Buttercooky. I grew up with the Buttercooky in Floral Park, which was always wonderful. So I ordered from this one. First of all, I didnt even get the pizza crumb cake I ordered and instead of an apple tart, I received an apple pie (maybe they dont know the difference?). To add insult to injury, after being promised the onion rolls are the exact same as in Floral Park, I was very disappointed. Anyway, after being told twice the manager would call me back and getting no call, I gave up. Suffice to say, I wont be going there again.

The croissants here are absolutely delicious. Theyre buttery and light and flavorful. Easily some of the best Ive had in this area. The other things I had here were good to very good, but the croissants (especially the pecan croissant) were amazing. As a place, its a bright and clean bakery. There are a lot of items to choose from. Theres seating inside but I havent seen any seating outside.

I ordered an assortment of cookies and pastries and my customer couldn’t stop talking about how great everything tasted.Great bakeries are hard to find and if we don’t support them they will all go away.

Ive only tried a few things and most have been very very good, food and bakery items. The only dud so far was the grilled cheese I got, but the menu is big enough that is not an issue

Quinoa salad is supposed to come over spinach, but came over mixed greens. Might seem like a minor swap to some people but I have allergies to certain kinds of lettuce. Please dont make swaps without checking with the customer first. Other than that, I thought the food was good.

Their Apple Strudel, Apple Turnover, Boston Cream Doughnuts and Jelly Doughnuts are the best around.Love this place!

I was finishing up a project in the area and I stopped by to get some pastries. The inside of the bakery was immaculate and clean! The pastries were great as well. Place is very clean and looks nice, but I miss the layer cakes and Jelly donuts of the old bakery. They switched the Jelly to try and get fancy or something. Its just not the same. Sometimes simple is good.

Horrible experience. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. To start off, my husband and I had to seat ourselves because no one was there to seat us. Not only that, there was no waitstaff either. When my husband called someone from behind the bakery, they said they had no waitstaff, and that you had to come up and give your order. There was no water or silverware on the table either. In fact, no one ever came to our table, the kids told us that there was plastic ware near the Togo coffee, which we got ourselves. Real classy operation.when the food was ready, some did bring it to the table and the food was tasty, but I have to say that I’ve never seen a restaurant run as poorly as this.After our meal we ordered a buttercream cupcake and slice of crumb cake to go. Another HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT. The crumb cake was very dry and overcooked and there were hardly any crumbs. The cupcake was okay, but the buttercream was waxy and tasteless. Tasted more like shortening than butter. I would not recommend the bakery or the restaurant in it. My 10 yr old cousin could bake better, and Buttercooky should be ashamed of this kind of service.

Hire a new baker or pull out the recipes Reinwald left behind. Lots of 1 star reviews but nothing changed in 3 years. Unless most people are buying them to look at and not eat, I cant explain how they stayed open during the pandemic. Everything is consistently far too sweet, items that should be savory. The last time we picked up muffins they were basically cupcakes without frosting. And it was definitely the last time.

Such a great bakery in Huntington. Francesco went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with my pastries. My favorite were the rainbow cookies and salted caramel macaroon. You can tell it was just made and fresh out of the oven...Will definitely be returning for all my events or when I am just craving something sweet!

Best quiche ever! I had the spinache quiche with the house salad which was amazing! All staff are very helpful, yet one really stands out. She is an older woman with a beautiful accent who makes me feel like family EVERY time I come in and she does the same for the other patrons.

Went to get my 85yr old Mom A Lobster Tail (her favorite). Broke off the end to have a taste, only to find that didnt have the DELICIOUS CREAM that the Floral Park Bakery has! This one had custard which wasnt even full. ( contents should have been labeled. ) I Never would have bought it, had I known, because no one eats custard at my house. Waste of money. I also got myself a blueberry turnover which was almost empty. Not going back to this location. Sticking with Floral Park Buttercooky Bakery!

I came here from out of town really excited to try this bakery. First, I was helped by an older woman named Paula. She was very rude and nasty. After ordering a bunch of desert pastries and danishes and trying them all, I was VERY disappointed. The food was absolutely disgusting. It was a nice place and the ambiance was nice but the food quality was below average. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who knows what good bakery food tastes like. And I suggest whoever runs that place to train their employees better and to also have better manners when handling customers.

I frequently visit this bakery with my boyfriend and we love getting to try new things whenever we come in! Lots of options. Only reason Im giving 4 stars is because some of the girls who work behind the counter seem to have a bit of an attitude problem, they dont seem like they want to be helping anyone at all.

Not long ago we bought a 30 dollar birthday cake for my sisters birthday, to say the least the cake was a disapointment, and we threw another party the next day (so she could have a party with her friends). This time we bought a 17 dollar cake from stop and shop, its unbelievable that a cake from a run of the mil grocery store for 57% the price was so much better than the cake from the expensive backery, we also purched some cookies that were also of poor quality, truly disapointing.

BLA! How can a Baker make pastry and not taste it? Because if a Baker were to taste this assortment of baked goods; then a baker would augment the recipe to make it better. Perhaps sawdust would be much better. So bakers out there Huntington is in dire need of a decent bakery. This one has to go.

Do yourself a favor and dont order grilled cheese it was $8 they gave me a cheese sandwich with unmelted cheese and a separate plastic container with 6 pieces of cooked bacon in it...a little chaotic at the counter and I think the staff is too young and dont know what theyre doing... Very disappointing I would stick with the pastries cakes and sweets and if you want lunch or breakfast, go to Copenhagen in northport...

Two layers of okay yellow cake with thick layers of butter cream that didnt really taste good at all. There was some decoration down the sides that tasted like plastic. Very pretty to look at but not at all tasty. I am missing Reinwalds--formerly in this same location. This place is NO match!

Looked beautiful despite the box was too short. The buttercream was awful and hard and the chocolate cake was damp meaning it was previously frozen.I also ordered 2 jelly donuts for us. Granted it was 2:00 in the afternoon and they were stale.The cup of coffee was good tho

Recently ordered four cupcakes after they absolutely ruined what was once Reinwald’s because I was desperate and thought “it’s been a year they can’t still be garbage right?”. I was very wrong. Cupcakes were all dry and flavorless with a mountains of hard frosting that made it almost impossible to eat and the red velvet cupcake had so much of the frosting I couldn’t even finish it. I’d get my money back if I could and I encourage anyone living in Huntington to steer clear of this mess. R.I.P. Reinwald’s I still miss you!

We met with Paula after getting numerous referrals to help us create our wedding cake. She brilliantly guided us while being mindful of our taste and budget. She coordinated with the florist and the cake was delivered to the harbor club for our wedding without a single hiccup. The cake was both aesthetically and tastefully pleasing and received tremendous acclaim. Highly recommended

Once again came in to eat at the cafe abdcwants again annoying rock music blasting. No sugar packets for coffee. N tables around us never cleaned off while people who work there standing around doing nothing. Why oh why cant someone open a good Italian bakery in huntington

Newly renovated (2020) the variety of delicious baked goods is impressive. My husband says the cakes are too sweet for his taste, but I say they are perfect for me. My kids love their cookies, cupcakes and cakes... ah, who am I kidding they love everything from Buttercooky! Prices are a a bit high, but they deliver quality and taste, which makes it all worth it.I visit this location during a.m. hours (10-11ish), and it does not seem too busy. They have a ticketed number system in place in case it gets busy, but I never needed to use it. Overall this location is very clean and parking lot is nice and spacious.This location has a reasonable seating area.All COVID-19 precaution measures seemed to be in place at all times I was there.P.S. I never tried their breakfast or drinks so I cant really say much about it.

After not getting a response back via email I have to leave a review. Huntington, don’t bother ordering a custom cake. I see another review below with similar comments. The cake was not what we Pre ordered. We ordered and paid for a boys baby shower cake with airplanes And they sent a cake with roses on it. I might be able to overlook this if the cake didn’t taste dry and old but I would have rather spent money at stop n shop. I emailed asking what happened and have yet over 24 hours to hear back. Incredibly disappointed and won’t be going back. We paid for one thing and got whatever they had on hand to send.

Huntington - terrible experience. Tried to order a custom cake, the woman was insolent, condescending and lazy. She didnt offer to show me anything.I asked for a particular frosting and she said thats expensive - no tact what so ever.Needless to say - we decided to take our business elsewhere.Saleswoman definitely needs a lesson on diversity - treat all customers equally.Would not recommend!

My sister recently bought a birthday cake for my niece from this bakery and let me tell u it wasnt cheap. And I just knew that because of that fact it was gonna be the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. Well I was wrong, atleast in my opinion. Not only did I not like the flavor, the cake was not very moist, but a little too much on the dry side for my taste. Im sorry but for those prices, that cake should have tasted way better than the $30 cakes I usually buy at the supermarket. The store was clean and the service was great, and the cake was beautifully decorated, but they lost me with the taste of that cake.

I was in the area and stopped by for some treats, but not was this underwhelming. The place looks absolutely great, and the staff was all super friendly but I got two cookies, one Elmo and one Cookie Monster cookie, and an Elmo cupcake and they were easily among some of the most disappointing treats Ive ever had. The cookies were like sedimentary rock, and the icing was so incredibly hard and looked like it was printed onto the cookie. I couldnt even give them away, no one was interested in eating stones. The cupcake was slightly better, though I may be saying that since my expectations were already on the floor at that point. The cupcake was pretty dry and very obviously not even baked that same day (mind you, I was there just minutes before 12PM). The icing was okay, not really amazing but it was a pleasant surprise given how bad the rest was. Definitely not worth the price I paid for them.

This place is absolutely amazing! Everything tastes as great as it looks! Each time I have visited Buttercooky, the staff has been super helpful. Each staff member is extremely knowledgeable of all the delicious desserts, cakes, pastries, cookies being offered, and can always make the best recommendations based upon whatever you may be craving! Recently, Buttercooky was able to make a nearly impossible request possible. I wanted to give a special thanks to the manager and owner who helped me pull off a very last minute cake order! The manager went out of his way to assure, despite the time constraints, my grandma would have an extra special cake! I was absolutely amazed by the cake and it made my grandma’s birthday! Buttercooky is hands down the best bakery I have ever been too! Once you try Buttercooky you will realize no dessert or pastry will ever compare!!!

I usually like everything in your bakery. My review would have been 5 stars but today I bought bread and sweets for my grandsons. I ordered 2 rainbow cookies and when the cashier weighed them it came to $5.05 for them! When I asked she told me it was by the pound and they cost $29.00 a pound! That’s the last time I buy them there!

Don’t order through Uber they give you not what you ordered the wrong food and you pay for it plus the desert is so old and it’s horrible and expensive. I thought it was a joke and prank. Never again.

I recently purchased a cake to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a co-worker and the cake was unbelievably amazing. It was one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. In my travels I must always try cakes, pies and sweets from different locations. While I have experienced times where some places can be a hit or miss, in this case it was a tremendous hit. I usually love going here but today I called to place an order just to pick up because I have to get to work and usually they do it over the phone, but the lady on the phone was rude, and said I can’t because I can hold the line up but I was requesting because the person picking up doesn’t speak English. I never had a problem to call, have them write down what to put on the cake, and pick up but today she was rude. NASTY ! 😑 I get your busy but I AM STILL A CUSTOMER JUST NOT IN THERE ! I waited on the phone so I don’t know why others don’t have to wait. So rude, and unprofessional.. 🤷🏻‍♀️
