Phenomenal place. The lady that worked at the counter was very helpful to my specific needs. The prices for the sunglasses were very reasonable with the quality of glasses were given. I would highly recommend coming here.

Sunglass Hut in Walt Whitman Mall.I wanted to purchase a pair of sunglasses that apparently has been discontinued for the past two years. Rather than directing me to Amazon, one of the reps looked it up in their system, saw the last few that were available and helped me purchase it. In my opinion, he went above what I consider to be standard service. Will definitely shop there again.

I was in the store today asking about a brand while another customer was trying to return something. From what I understand it was at the end of their return date and the glasses were noticeably scratched. The two associates clearly told him they’re following policy and we’re being yelled at for no reason when the customer was demanding their full names claiming they had something against him. For the time I spent in there before and after the customer came and went Tom and the other young gentleman with glasses were very helpful and remained respectful even when the man was yelling. I was definitely impressed by their knowledge and will be returning when I decide which glasses I want.

Very unhappy with Sunglass Hut and Tommy the salesperson at the store when I arrived at 6:37, store hours are open until 7, figure I have just enough time to try on a pair of glasses or two and pickup myself a pair of glasses that I been saving to be able to buy for myself and my two girls as a surprise. Well there is a rope blocking off the door, so I walk up and ask if the store is still open, Tommy says sorry closed for the night, though store was open until 7, with another customer still in the store, so disappointed I walk away, well I decide to take a picture for proof and Tommy suddenly cares about me. Can I help you, I said looking to buy 3 pairs of glasses, I can let you in but you will have to hurry. Now I realize I am arriving at 637 and I only have 20_25 min MAX but at that point, Sunglass Hut and Its employee let me down, first I cant come in and now I can but need to HURT all this before I all have even stepped foot inside the store, no tha I you Sunglass Hut I will be trying another location. Almost $1000 of glasses and I get 0 customer serv.ice. Very Disappointed from the start

That overweight sales associate Chris has to be the rudest person ever. No class, no manner just a bunch of pounds on him. He didn’t let me returned my glasses because his store didn’t hit enough “ sales “ for the day. So sad sunglasses hut hires this type of people. I can see they hire just anyone in this company. The fact that’s there’s so many negative reviews about this dude CHRIS and he still work there’s ? Blow my mind.

Love this store, i bought few sunglasses for my son and wife, never had any issue, staff is very helpful to show me the glasses.if they dont have the fresh sunglas, they happily ordered for me and delivered to my home without any cost, and their 90 days return policy is great. definitely going back in future for another pair of sunglasses.

Will never shop here again. If I could give you zero stars, I would. I was rudely threatened by an employee for returning and exchanging a pair of sunglasses I purchased. I changed my mind two days after purchasing and went to exchange them for another pair when I was told next time you exchange this, Im going to flag you. Flag me for what? What kind of policy is this?I should have really returned it all together and purchase my glasses elsewhere but I was so shocked I just wanted to get out of there.

UPDATE: We spoke with a regional manager today from Sunglass Hut, who could not have been any nicer. Not only was she clearly upset about the way the situation was handled, she couldnt have been more mortified by how we were treated throughout the process.She worked with us to come to a successful resolution, and I will be returning the sunglasses to the store this week. While you never want to have to escalate a situation to this level, at least there are very competent, well-trained people in management at Sunglass Hut.On a side note, the 90-day policy is real. Sunglass Hut has updated their return policy around things like damage/scratches in the spirit of people of who wear the sunglasses for 89 days, abuse them, and then return them just to buy another pair. Clearly, that is understandable, but employees at the store level need to be trained on the hard rule of the policy vs. using their judgment.ORIGINAL REVIEW:If I could give Sunglass Hut and this store negative stars I would.I was in NJ for Thursday, 3/1 in the morning and purchased a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses from the Short Hills mall location. I bought them without my wife seeing them, but was told I can bring them home and if she didn’t like them I could return them to any Sunglass Hut location.Went home to Long Island, and of course my wife didn’t like them, so I went back to the Walt Whitman mall location near my home to return them that evening. Got to the store, the woman working at the counter checked out the glasses and was ready to process the return. Of course their computer systems were down so they could not process the refund. I didn’t make a big deal out of it, and figured I would return to the store over the weekend to finish the return.This is where it all goes down hill. I went to the store this morning and the women in the store inspected the glasses and said they saw a scratch on the lens. This “scratch” was tiny and only visible if you held the sunglasses up to the light and at a very specific angle. Now, I have not even tried on or worn the sunglasses other than in the store in NJ and when I got home to show my wife. The woman in the store was nice, and tried to help but they called the manager and said he would not offer me the ability to return the sunglasses, but I can try to go back to the store in NJ!!! Really? This is a corporation, not a small, independent shop. It should not matter which store I return the glasses to, they should be concerned about customer service since every store I walk into usually has no one shopping in them.Anyway, it gets worse from here. I tried to call the store to speak with a manager and was told that they would get back to us as no one was in. After a few hours we hear back from the store and are told the manager said he would not process the refund. We ask to speak to him directly, and the answer we get is he is not in the store. We ask for his name, and are put on a hold and all of a sudden miraculously he was able to come to the phone. He explains rudely that he will not process the refund, so we ask for his name so that we can call customer service and he REFUSES to give his name. Seriously?!? He says “you don’t need my name” rudely. Finally, he gives us the name “Chris”, but absolutely would not give us his last name, basically saying we are not entitled to that information. He would also not provide us his manager’s name so we needed to call Sunglass Hut corporate for the information. Sunglass Hut corporate said there is no reason why he shouldn’t have given us the information he requested and that they will be investigating. CHRIS - good luck keeping your job.

If I could give this store negative stars I would. I have never went to a Sunglasshut where the manager treated the customer with horrendous customer service. I went into this location to exchange a pair of sunglasses I bought online 3 days ago since I received them with a white spec on the lens, that could not have been cleaned off. Chris blatantly denied my exchange and said I can only do this online. No where on Macys website through sunglass hut does it say that I must return online for any exchanges or refunds.I went to the sunglass hut in the same mall, and they representative there were understanding and told me they were unable to process my exchange due to it being bought through the macys sunglass hut. They mentioned they have a pair they can walk over to the macys store in the same mall, that can be exchanged there. The girl even walked over with the pair of sunglasses to be exchanged when speaking to Chris.I have never met such horrible customer service from a manager who represents Sunglass hut. Do not go to this location, they do not deserve your money, go somewhere where you would be appreciated for spending $400 on a pair of Gucci sunglasses. Not only was he rude, but the entire experience was not something I would want anyone to have to go through. He even decided to walk away from me when I was asking him why the exchange can not be made.Save yourself the frustration!!!!
