An authentic and cozy Turkish style coffee shop with a pinch of western theme. The coffee shop has a relaxing vibe both inside and outside. We went there for an afternoon turkish tea/coffee and were greeted by owner who was present at the time. Both owner and the barista are very friendly and polite, Their selection of coffee is all organic with some pastry and Baklva. The best part was that we got our Turkish coffee in an authentic turkish coffee cup and the presentation and taste of it was great. I will let the pictures to speak up to the truth. Really enjoyed our time and reminded me of the authentic Turkish style coffee and Baklava in Istanbul.Highly recommend the place.

These customers are customers who are here studying as well.A girl just walked in and asked if they need to wear a mask and the barista/cashier straight up said no.The barista/cashier is really nice but doesnt take wearing a mask seriously. I enjoyed the historical place. I loved the Lavender latte and the Turkish coffee was perfect. The food in the display fridge wasnt appealing they need to sell more fresh looking items. Baklava was really delicious not too sweet and so crunchy. The overall atmosphere was pretty authentic and would love to add more theme music. (Much better than my first visit last year, so I edited the review)

We were looking for a place where we can drink coffee and have some yummy pastries while doing work. They have seating inside with 25% people allowed to eat inside for safe social distancing and seating outside. In addition, they have strong WiFi. Also, Musa the owner is really nice. He thanked us for being patient and thank us for coming to his business. It is so important to support small business especially during the pandemic. He even went above and beyond and asked us how the drinks and pastries were.

Beautiful place. Coffee is organic supposedly. Not too busy and crowded. Located in the old village close to Bella Terra. The Turkish food that they serve comes mostly with feta cheese. So if you have a problem with that like I do, there is not many options. But the good thing is they are honest about that.

All I want to know is how in the world Ive never been here before. This coffee shop is amazing, from the decor, very hipster, very modern and rustic at the same time ..to the presentation of the coffees, plates, desserts...prices are very reasonable in comparison to Starbucks, etc but the quality of the ingredients, customer service and attention to details is so much more superior. The other great thing about this place is the variety of non dairy milk they offer. Soy, Almond, Coconut even Oat!!! Which makes a great Latte

A small coffee shop in the Old World Village just across the street from Bella Terra. I order Caramel Latte and it was pretty good. The cheesecake pastry is on the sweet side, plus it has cinnamon which I dont like. The inside is really nice, calm, and quiet, although sometimes people who stopped by for go-to coffee talked so loud. Still one of my favorite coffee shop in the area

Favorite coffee shop in HB. You can tell the owner cares about people from the ethically sourced coffee (which can be hard to find in the area with the exception of a few other places), to the way you are welcomed and accommodated as a guest, and that he used to work in education for 20 years. This place is my go-to.

Im a local and decided to try this place for the first time today. I went with my husband. When we arrived, there were no customers inside or outside and just one blonde female server inside. I poked my head into the door and asked if it was okay to sit outside. She looked up from her phone and grunted, its fine. We picked this place for their outdoor seating. I am 7 months pregnant and have viral induced asthma. I lost my father-in-law a few months ago to covid-19. And my masters degree is in public health, so Im naturally prevention oriented. After a few minutes of sitting outside and waiting I noticed the server was still standing in the restaurant on her phone. I poked my head back inside and asked if she had any available menus for us to look at. In a very rude and disrespectful tone she responded look, its not the end of the world, seriously, just come inside and order. She rolled her eyes and scoffed at me twice as if I was nuts for asking to sit outside. As if the pandemic didnt exist at all. Maybe the pandemic isnt the end of the world to someone who hasnt yet lost a loved one. But we were very disturbed and shocked by this response and disrespect, and now questioning this restaurants cleanliness policies, my husband and I left and went a few doors down to Creme de la Crepe where we were greeted by a very kind and friendly hostess who seated us outside and gave us menus. Its no wonder to me that The Coffee Tale, had zero customers, with that kind of service. That was the first and last time well ever go there. I hope the owner is aware that this is how that woman treats customers. Honestly, had she just said something like Im sorry we dont have outdoor menus I would have masked up and come in. But her disregard for the customers needs and wants, and her sarcastic and mocking tone, is what was so offensive. It was clear she didnt want to be there or maybe she would have looked up from her phone for a second. Im glad we left and took our business elsewhere.

My best friend and I were visiting this area and found this cute little coffee shop. The area surrounding it is so charming, with this shop being one of the hidden treasures. Musa was so kind and ecstatic to help. Both of our drinks (ice vanilla latte with oat milk and iced lavender latte with oat milk) were made to perfection. My friend and I are both baristas with years under our belts. I say that because the drinks were perfectly balanced between the organic espresso and sweetness of the flavoring. We tried the Turkish Cheese Borek and the Baklava. The Turkish cheese borek was warm down to the core and the flakiness of the pastry itself was really delicious. The baklava was sweet, fresh, and to die for. The environment was clean, classic, and calming. The music made us feel really relaxed while we sat in the cushiony seats. I also thought it was cool that the single origin beans are served within a week of roasting. I can’t stop talking about this coffee shop and I can’t wait to return in the future. Keep you the fantastic work. This place has truly perfected their art. 11/10 recommend!

NOT COVID SAFE!! I’ve been in twice and both times the cafe was full of customers not wearing masks and the baristas have theirs off until a customer comes up to the counter.Bad mochas as well - one of the times I got an iced mocha and they are just milk and coffee with a squirt of chocolate on the inside of the cup so you only get one or two sips of chocolate. This cafe would be great if they would follow safety guidelines and learn how to make a proper mocha! Not going in again for safety reasons

As far a quality of coffee goes... this place possibly provides the best quality coffee in all of Orange County. To start, serving all organic coffee is excellent.Their single-origin cold-brew coffee has excellent flavor, and is also very strong. I usually drink more than half of it due to its strength.Their espresso is well made, however, its compatriot,... Turkish coffee, steals the spotlight. The Turkish coffee served comes served in a unique tea cup on a tea plate. Next to the teacup is a small cube of Turkish-delightThe Turkish coffee is very granular, and has a deep coffee flavor that is not acidic. The cafe is located in what seems to be a German market plaza. Their is outdoor seating in the back, and sufficient options for indoor seating including high-chair tables, a sofa, a low table, as well as regular mid-seize tables.Outside in the front of the cafe there are 2 benches as well. However, Id suggest sitting in the back section of the cafe, if you prefer outdoor seating. The staff there are excellent at addressing any questions and explaining the kind of coffee they have. You can tell the guy that works there (not referring to the owner) is a coffee enthusiast. They a selection of food including baklava, snacks like nut bars that you may see at a Starbucks, and other sweets.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops to get work done / study from. Lots of comfortable seating, in a variety of options (group seating, couches, bar tops, regular tables, etc.), and plenty of outlets. Strong wifi. Ive only had the tea here, but its a wide selection, and they steep it for you to perfection, rather than handing it off to you to fend for yourself. The music is the right volume to get work down, while still being able to talk to people. Its spacious. Cute atmosphere hidden inside Old World. And the staff is really, really nice.More than anything else, you HAVE to try the Baklava. It is amazing. I could live inside of it. The drinks and food do take longer to make - its usually just one person behind the counter - but they more than make up for it in service and quality.

A quiet and cozy coffee shop tucked away in a quiet area. This one may be a bit hard to find but I think that is part of the the appeal for this place. Located in Old World across from the Huntington Beach Costco, this small coffee shop is my favorite place to go as of late. The shop has a very cozy interior with enough seats to fit about 15 people. It is tucked away deep in the community and I dont see it get busy very often in the afternoons. The coffee they serve taste very fresh and is very aromatic. Ive tried their Turkish coffee and it is slowly becoming one of my favorite caffeine fixes. They also have a few pastries, and dessert foods that are great. Their baklava is good without being overly sweet and their rice pudding is a relatively light pudding with slight flowery taste.I would have to say the biggest appeal this place holds for me is the location and atmosphere. Being slightly hard to find, it stays relativity quiet and it has some great comfy seats. This is one of my favorite places to go sit in quiet to study or read with some decent coffee. The only negative I can think about the place is it may seem short staffed at times. There is generally only one employee working and when multiple people come in, it can get hectic for them. But ultimately, this is a place that you sit down and chill so if you are in a rush, I wouldnt recommend coming here.

As I was waiting for traffic to die down, I found this coffee shop nearby to do some homework. The decoration is quite cute and I havent seen anything like it before. All of the coffees were around $5-6, which I thought was a little pricey, but I dont go to coffee shops often, so maybe this is the norm now. I ordered:- Dark chocolate latte (4/5): The coffee was very neutral as in it wasnt too bitter but it wasnt too sweet. I couldnt really taste too much of the chocolate until I got to the bottom. However, the latte came out at the perfect drinking temperature, so I didnt have to wait to drink it. This drink was almost $6, which again I thought was a little much.- Spinach & cheese pastry (1/5): I cant remember what this was called, but it had spinach and cheese inside and a flakey crust. I dont think that it was toasted for long enough before it was still cold when I ate it. The middle was just this solid chunk of grainy cheese. This coffee shop only allows you to stay for 2 hours for every purchase that you make. It also got pretty loud when I was there around 6PM on a Tuesday night. I was trying to watch lecture videos on my laptop and I had to strain to hear the lecturers talking. If youre looking for a quieter place to study, then I wouldnt recommend this place.

The coffee was great, the service was not. My daughter have been wanting to take me here for a while and we finally made it on Sunday around 7:20pm. When ordering, the barista asked me if she could give me a coffee cup to go because she was closing soon, meaning in 40 minutes. I felt unwelcome, and descriminated. We were there for the whole experience and part of that experience was to drink our coffee in the shop. I think we got there with plenty of time to drink our coffee and not be overstaying after closing time. Basically she told us, we close in 40 minutes and eventhough the coffee shop is full of customers you are not welcome to stay here . That was upsetting, but I didnt say anything because I didnt want to argue with the barista in front of my daughter who was so exited to take me here. 40 minutes is not a we are closing soon time!
