Fabulous place to eat with a variety of creative sandwiches,salads,coffee drinks and homemade icecream. Also a darling gift shop.

This place has a nice and peaceful vibe. If you are a student and wish to come do some homework, this is the spot. Its also a good little spot to bring a significant other or come as a group.The food is average and thats why I took a star away, but that is my personal preference and perspective. Other than that, the place Is a good quiet hangout.

My 1st time here but man what an amazing experience. I got the veggie breakfast sandwich that has egg on it. I asked them to put some mayo and grilled onions on it. This is one of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive ever had. And the lady was so sweet that was at the counter she was so friendly and as you so thankful for her sweet hello and how nice she was or shall I say is! Blows HB bagels away!!!

This place is awesome! Small and quaint. The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Real old fashioned sqaw bread, rye, huge crunchy pickles... You get the idea. Portions are very large and many unique flavor combos. They also serve wine, gourmet coffees and teas and even has a unique gift shop. Employees are super nice and friendly. Will definitely be telling people about this place.

Enjoyed a sandwich and coffee here in April 2019. Super nice staff, yummy sandwich, and comfortable atmosphere. Hope they get to open up again soon!

Monkey House Cafe is one of the best place to eat in Huntington Beach. Great food and service is amazing. When you walk in the door it feels like warm and inviting. Laura is one of the sever. She always have great smile and good attitude. It is one of few hidden gem in this great beach community.

This place is cute, comfortable atmosphere. I ordered a jungle sandwich which is more of a veggie sandwich but I added turkey. So good, with cucumber, onion, sprouts etc on squaw bread. The menu was a little thin for sandwiches as far as I was concerned but the food was good. They have ice cream too. Not sure if this is the norm but I was waiting by the sandwich counter to order and then found out I needed to go to the Ice cream counter to order was a little turned off by that. The decor is patio style furniture with a garden type feel. You can buy misc items around the store plus there is a cute little items, like stuffed animals, lunch boxes, purses etc. Be aware that they only do exchanges or store credit. No returns for cash back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It has a great atmosphere and gift shop. The employees are very nice. The food is good and the menu is varied with vegetarian options. They also have an excellent espresso bar.

I love Monkey House! Best green tea smoothie ever! Pretty chill to hang out there too... You wont ever get bored with your surroundings! Not too much and not too little.... Love the boutique next door(same building, just one room over).... Definitely a one of a kind type of place. Great food, great service.... Never have been disappointed.

Good coffee, sandwiches, salads, and desserts in a nice relaxing environment. The main dining area has a very unique vibe with smaller cozy areas carved out where groups can hang out. A huge fake tree prominently stands in the room center. Great place to hang out and grab a coffee or light breakfast / lunch. They also serve beer and wine for a nice evening get away.

This is hands down one of my favorite cafes ever! I adore the staff and the food is always fresh. The atmosphere is so unique and relaxed even when they are busy. The prices are very decent. I love this place!

Very on brand. Its like they transported a cafe from the jungle cruise and plopped it here. Kinda weird. But good coffee and ample place to relax, do work, or visit with a friend.

We stopped by because we had a coupon. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered; it is larger inside than expected and nicely decorated with a jungle theme, a large tree and monkeys. There is a tech bar and multiple tables. The menu is varied covering breakfast and lunch with a large coffee selection as well as pastries, ice cream and wine. We ordered two sandwiches which were fresh and delicious. My son had the Rio bowl which was a generous açaí bowl. The desserts were amazing and fresh baked. You won’t regret trying the Monkey House Cafe. I know we will be back.

A hidden gem! Such a cool little coffee shop, decorated nice and great food and drinks... Wouldnt have guessed how trendy it was from the outside. Great hangout spot.

Danielle provided excellent customer service and both the pastrami and grilled chicken sandwiches were really good, love their pickles. Something tasty for any time of day- Sandwiches, salads, soup, breakfast, pastries, coffee, smoothies, ice creams, and desserts and everything Ive had has been good. Dont know what kind of ice cream it is but reallllly yummy and cool flavors like cookie monster. Highly recommend.

Have been to Monkey House for lunch many times. My favorite sandwich is the turkey with cranberry sauce. I change out the mayo for cream cheese. Oh my, it is so good! The fruit smoothies are delicious. Not too sweet. AND to top it all off there is a little gem of a gift shop right next to the main dinning area. The gifts are truly lovely and all hand picked by the owner.

Ditch Star Bucks. Great place to relax, get some work done. Amazing coffee, food, environment. Heck. They even have beer.... Monkey house is like a Swiss army knife cafe. They have everything.

After a whole evening of drinking at Downtown Disney, my girlfriend and I decided to grab something to eat before heading back home. We didnt feel like forking in more money at the overly expensive restaurants in Downtown Disney, so we decided to give The Pizza

First time visit. Has oatmeal for breakfast and it was delicious!! Hearty and only $3. Will definitely try lunch next time.

I can’t believe I drove past this place for years never knowing what’s inside! The grilled vege is to die for. I get chips and potato salad because, well, why not? The sandwiches are huge can share with 2 sides or save the rest for dinner.I call it in so I can sit and enjoy my lunch. nice and refreshing like a little break form the hustle and bustle.Love the boutique, can find cute things or pricey artisan stuff. Great way to multi task a lunch buy a gift and sit and eat!!!!

Its hard to rate this cozy and friendly little spot, because its hard to figure out just what standard it should be held to. Its not quite a coffee bar, not quite a beer and wine bar, not quite a breakfast-and-lunch sandwich shop, and not quite an ice cream shop (with Lapperts, the best ice cream from the 808). At the same time, its a little of all of those. Its certainly worth a visit to check it out. Be aware that parking can be problematic.

OMG been here twice, best pastrami sandwich around!

Ive heard quite a bit about this place from my friends who are regulars there and they cant get enough. Ive tried coming a few times but something always came up and I was never able to try it. Finally I had a day off work and planned to have nothing planned and to make sure nothing would ruin my experience that day.I have to say I absolutely love the decor of the place its so well done and tasteful I can give 4 stars just for that its really pretty and it makes everything taste a little better.I decided to go with the veggie breakfast sandwhich and Tea and the food tasted really good. It was served quickly and the staff all seemed really cool.Overall I say thumbs up and Im glad I came here it was a nice experience and a nice little place for some quiet time.

WE ENDED UP IN URGENT CARE AFTER EATING HERE!!!We ordered food and when we received our soup noticed it had beans in it. Normally there are not beans in this type of soup so I told the gal working the counter that my daughter has a severe nut allergy and beans are in the nut family so we traded it for a salad. There were little cookies on the plate as well and mine was tucked under my sandwich so I hadnt seen it. By the time I noticed it, I picked it apart and realized it had nuts. I looked at my daughters tray and hers was gone. I immediately asked her if she ate it and she did. I asked the employee what the ingredients of the cookie are and sure enough, macadamia nuts, coconut and chocolate chips. I reminded her that I just told her my daughter has a severe nut allergy and she asked if I would like some Advil. I said no, Advil will not help her, we need to use her epi pen and go to urgent care. I said when someone tells you they have a nut allergy, its a serious thing and they need to pay attention to what they are serving. She rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Once we arrived at urgent care, we explained to them what happened and they told us that this is the second time recently that someone has been at urgent care for a nut reaction at that cafe. This is totally unacceptable. This type of accident could potentially cost someone their life! Your employee clearly has NO idea how severe a nut allergy can be and didnt take this serious at all.So frustrated with this place! A quick bite between a busy schedule turned Into a day completely ruined. My daughter will be a walking zombie for the next 3 days not to mention shes now on steroids which completely stinks! $200 in urgent care, 3 days of steroids and Benadryl and need to purchase a new epi pen that will run approximately $150 and a prescription of prednisone. Thanks a lot Monkey House Cafe for properly training your employees! Please dont let this happen to another person. THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER - PLEASE DEAL WITH IT AS SUCH!!!! SEVERAL DAYS LATER AND MANY MESSAGES......still no call from the owners. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Quiet, awesome quality food and drink (especially the coffee), free wi-fi, unique atmosphere. What else could you want?The coffee is spectacular - the best Ive ever had really. The Acai berry shake is great after a workout. All of the food Ive tried so far has just been great. Its such a nice place to relax and eat, drink, and talk without the annoyance and noise of Starbucks. The way its laid out affords many people a bit more privacy than a lot of places that are wide open. I bring people here all the time for business meetings, its just perfect.

This is just a short review based on the few times ive been here to get some work/study done.its a super cute place with a jungle-like theme. they sell a variety of sandwiches and drinks including wine and beer! FREE wifi is totally awesome and no password required. there are plenty of seating throughout the place but obviously, only the seats closest to walls have access to outlets. their drip-coffee is self serve...so score for free refills! they also have punchcards for coffee which lets you earn free coffee...another score!the clientele is different, mainly locals and elderly during the weekdays. the staff is EXTREMELY nice! ive spoken briefly to a few of them and they are all so friendly.oh and make sure to check their hours as they do close early.
