Love the staff here and the selection! The staff is always happy to help you pick the perfect wine and offers some great feedback! The prices can’t be beat for sure. Definitely my go to for all things wine and champagne.

Nice place. Most of the staff are very friendly. Lady helped my wife pick out two cases of wine for our 40 year renewal party. One guy didnt give us the time of day and acted like we were in his way.

Much smaller store than we are used too. No liquor! (NC law)?🤔. Did have my favorite beer 🍺 ( Sapporo) but only in a 6-pack bottle variety

Been looking for that rare exotic wine or the special craft beer Total Wine is the place to go. They have such an amazing selection all the time! Plus they even have a special wine cooler that will cool a bottle of wine in 5 minutes! Oh I almost forgot they have an awesome selection of cigars too.

Everything is relative... In the great black hole that is the North Carolina beer market, this appears to be the only alternative to grocery stores if you want to buy beer. Though large by North Carolina standards, this is a small Total Wine store - with perhaps 1/3 the floor space of Total Wine stores in the north or west. The beer aisle was pitiful. (Note how I said aisle instead of aisles). Selection was both narrow and shallow - few brands, with few selections per brand. If your definition of import beer is Modesto or Dos Equis, youll feel right at home here. Looking for a good Belgian Ale or a German Lager? Keep looking. Even their craft brew selection was sad - with most of the selection being micro-brew (but not) pretenders like Goose Island, or Sam Adams. I tried to custom order some cases of a decent German beer (which I was able to do year-round at my old Total Wine) and was told that they couldnt even special order my beer because their wholesaler didnt stock it. So there ya go. If anything is going to make me become a home brewer, it is the North Carolina beer market, and the sad state of retail beer stores. Worth two stars because they are better than Food Lion. Just barely.

Her name was either Julie or Julia; HUGE HELP to me. I have honestly been drinking the same few brands of wine for years, and I really wanted to branch out.I decided to buy a case but I had no idea where to start. She was extremely helpful and walked through the whole collection with me, even had me taste a few. She knew my price range and so far I’ve enjoyed all of her suggestions. I will definitely be returning!

Ordered a few bottles of vino online for pickup the next day. Amazingly, they actually had the order together in a few hours. Sadly, my schedule didnt allow me to retrieve my order, and honestly, I did NOT want to drive on I-77 North at 6pm. Went to pick up my order the next day at 2pm. Easy into the first parking lot at Birkdale, walked across Townley Rd and entered the store. Got one of the most enthusiastic and friendly greeting when I walked in. Followed the BIG THIS WAY sign for pick-up. Was one of 3 or 4 customers in store (all masked, unlike some Publix grocery stores), simply stated who I was, showed some ID and walked out with some exceptionally good zins. Great store. Easy to get to, even on weekends.

Beer person here... good selection. Lots of local brews if you are from out of town. Like all other total wines, I cant quite figure out how they chose to group things which makes it frustrating if you are looking for a specific beer.

Came looking far sake and I gotta say I am surprised at how minuscule their selection is. They did have what I was looking for though. I got a bottle of Momokawa Pearl which is an absolutely divine nigorizake or unfiltered.The store itself has a lot of product and considering I’ve never been in a Total Wine I’d say it has more wine than any other place I’ve been. That being said I did feel a bit cramped in the narrow isles.One staff member whose name I didn’t catch asked me if I needed assistance and he must not have expected me to take it because when I said I was looking for sake he responded with an even louder tone as if he was frustrated. We got to the isle and he asked if I see what I was looking for and I pointed out the brand but I didn’t see the specific variety right away. I asked if it could be in the refrigerated isle because that’s usually where I find it in other places. He said if it’s not there they don’t have it. I said thanks and he moved on. After a moment of scanning I found the variety I wanted on the bottom side opposite of the one I pointed out.The cashier named John was extremely polite and helpful.

Since the shutdown, I have done curbside pickup at Total Wine Birkdale about a dozen times (hey, I’ve been bored and thirsty😂). I just want to say to the management and staff...given the state of the world, thank you so much for all you do. Every time I go, I’m met by friendly, efficient, and, lets be honest...brave individuals. Not to mention your curbside system is brilliant.I’m a customer for life, or at least until my liver says no mas! Stay safe, y’all...I’ll see you soon!

Went into the store today as a shopper. Asked Celeste for help finding an item. She looked at me and says where are my Gloves!? We have no protocol for gloves at all! Completely optional. Celeste made me wear gloves asking didn’t my company send gloves and a mask. I advised her yes, but they run out. Which is not her business. I am a self contractor. I work on a platform- not for the platform. As well, I am black. This is rare in this area. I was treated like a dog and forced to follow her to get gloves. Meanwhile not One other person had them on. I felt very discriminated against! And, I will be acting on it! Were my hands filthy and everyone else’s were not!? That’s how I felt my whole shop!

You cannot speak highly enough about this total wine location and its employees. All of whom are very educated and extremely helpful during your wine selection. Manager Celeste is an absolute pleasure. She’s is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. Highly suggest this TW location for your wine and beer needs!

Great customer experience! Was looking for a specific brand of beer that was not available. Staff gave us options, explained they could special order for us or try another location. Shopping experience was good and staff knowledgeable...very customer oriented. Each location footprint varies so may be worthwhile to do recon work before you step out of your house.

I went to this location expecting a pretty normal experience as Ive had in the past with other locations of the same name. However, upon entering I was amazed at the great organization of this location. Plenty of cashiers were available to help me and I was even offered a free sample of a chocolate liqueur. I was very impressed with the quality of service I received and will be returning in the very near future.

I can find almost any kind of beer here. Prices are competitive with the grocery chains. This is, in my opinion, more of a wine store. Very decent prices and selection

Awesome site has everything! Lots of craft beers and build your own singles. I didn’t have time to browse the wine section, but it was huge. They also have a beverage cooler, which chills your drink fast.

Hint: Dont restock during open hours. I couldnt get to the items I wished to purchase and social distancing was an impossibility. I wont be back.

On vacation from Maine. This place has a very wide selection of wine and beer. Excellent prices, and was great to be able to buy the local breweries wares in individual bottles to try. Clean atmosphere and very polite staff. Wish there was a place that bottled tap beer on order up home.

If you are looking for wine for an event, please go see Andrew in the Huntersville store. He is excellent. I went to see him and he helped me pick out the wine for my daughters wedding and even has me liking red wine. He placed my order and called when it was in. I went to pick it up and I made some changes and he was very helpful. He even brought the wine out to the car for me. I will be going back just to purchase wine for myself. You cant beat the prices or the staff. Andrew thank you so much for all of your help.

Great selection, it can be overwhelming at times. The employees here are nice and are helpful. Pricing is ok sometimes a little high but again selection is great. Stop at Total wine and browse to see what you can find.

Very nice place. Been to others, and gotten More spirits like bourbon and vodka, but this one sticks to beer for its More portion. That said, it is a huge selection of local and micro brews. Good wine options as well.

The size of this place is amazing. I love that I can build my own sixers and buy just a single if I want. I could literally spend an hour each week just looking, due to the fact that they always have something new. This is a larger chain from up north, but they do a great job partnering with local breweries and keeping up with the local beer scene. As for the wines, they have everything from your everyday $7 bottle to that perfect addition to your private selection. I have also found that for kegs, their prices are extremely competitive and they are able to get a much broader assortment of beers than most other vendors. They also fill growlers with local draft rotations. Lastly they have a humidor of youd like to grab a stogie before you go. Prices on cigars arent necessarily the best, but its more of a convenience than a specialty. Give this place a visit!

I love ordering online and how quickly my product is ready. Why the 2? Every time I go to pick up an order there is NOBODY AT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I always wait at least 10 minutes with barely an acknowledgement. Since I am usually picking up for a business that caters to artists its very frustrating when I spend so much time standing and waiting for help just to pick up an order.
