My experience at Champion Chevrolet was great. This was my second time leasing a vehicle from them. Just like the first time, everything went quick & smoothly. If youre looking for a sales person that is personable and straight forward without pressure, ask for Helen. She was awesome ! She truly wants to make sure you get the best deal & happy with your purchase.
I walked in thinking I was going to be just talking with Helen about options as my lease was in the last 6 months. I walked out maybe 2-3 hours later in my beautiful new Equinox. I could not be any more pleased. She takes wonderful care of my family and the people at the dealership are absolutely amazing. I am blessed to know these people. I truly recommend Champion Chevrolet to anyone in need of a new vehicle.
I dealt with Mike. It was a great experience. I went to many different dealers to find the right car for us and Mike made getting this car truly easy. He was very helpful when showing how to work all the features in my car. Im sure I will have more questions about things at some point and I feel confident he will help me when I go back with questions.
I usually am not one to leave reviews (I know, bad me), but we all know that dreaded experience when going to purchase a new vehicle - just knowing that it will take HOURS and you have to have the negotiating skills of an expert. Not at Champion! I have never had a more pleasant experience when buying a vehicle. My salesman, Travis, was beyond AWESOME!!! Sheri, their finance manager, was just as great (and she is a huge animal lover - bonus!).I went in by myself to buy a truck and expecting the trucks are for guys attitude, but everyone there was so very friendly and helpful. Not only will I be buying all my future vehicles at Champion but I will be HIGHLY RECOMMENDING them to friends and family.Loving my Silverado! Great job Champion!!
Wonderful experience. Helen is exceptional to work with. Highly recommend Champion Chevrolet for both new cars and your service needs.
I messaged via marketplace inquiring about the speed transmission and bed liner. I received a message stating that it’s still available. I thought they might have not seen that I asked something else so I stated I had asked about this and that. Their response stated that it’s Labor Day and 9:30pm at night. How condescending of a sales person to speak to a customer like that when that individual chose to respond on Labor Day at 9:30pm when I was expecting a response the next day during business hours. I am appalled at the treatment I have received in such a short time period regarding a simple question. Great customer service… do better.
Dean Wagner was great. I was checked in quickly, my coupon was honored, and I was in-and- out in 45 minutes. (Oil change and tire rotation). I always enjoy bringing my car to Champion. I was a little disappointed that the coffee pot was turned off .....but I guess I understand-based on the Covid situation.
Tony, Melissa and Shari were amazing to work with. All are very knowledgeable, friendly snd very efficient. We will recommend others to this dealership.
Had a great experience buy a used car at Champion. They had the right car in stock for me and got all the paperwork completed in a timely fashion.
Drove over an hour as was told by Travis Baker they had a Ford Explorer that I was interested in buying. Upon arriving was told that vehicle had baseball size dents in it and wanted to show me something else. Told him I for sure did not want to go over a certain price. He starts leading me to the parking lot to a vehicle $5000 over what I had quoted I could afford. I stopped him in his tracks. Then he brought the manager over. This guy wouldnt let me get a word in, said they had the perfect car for me, but it wasnt on the lot. Was told they would call me Monday morning when they got it in. Its now 6pm Monday, have not heard from them. GOING ELSEWHERE.
My $40,000 trucks engine failed at less than 9,000 miles. The fix took 5 days and no loaner vehicle was available. Only half of the engine was repaired so I have to wonder at what point does the other side fail? I had to rent a vehicle to move my travel trailer in the mean time. I am very unhappy with GM at this point. My last 4 vehicles were new GM but not being offered any compensation for my loss will make me think twice about my next purchase. Update. As of 10-4-2021 I have yet to be contacted by the service manager as was the response from Champion Chevrolet. The last communication was “the service manager would contact you shortly”. My truck actually was closer to $50,000 and know has a repaired engine with no additional warranty. No happy with Champion or GM.
Brought in vehicle for recall and “engine power reduced” warning. Of course the engine issue wasn’t related to the recall. So we paid $660 to fix the fuel pressure regulator. Drive it less than 20 miles and same warning light came on. Took back to the dealership and was told there are 3 or 4 more error codes and they only fixed the major one. Now they tell me the engine needs thousands of dollars to fix. I would never have fixed the first part if they had given me the whole story up front. And this car is part of the oil consumption recall, GM should be fixing this car for me. I am disputing the charges for the initial work of $660, this is ridiculous.
Very professional and helpfulDidnt try to sell me a bunch of things I didnt need
We wasted 2 days driving to this dealership. We were interested in a used Mustang on their lot. Before we drove out we asked the salesman what the fees were. He told us $230 for doc fees plus taxes and plates. When we got there to sign the paperwork there was extra 2 fees on the paperwork. One for theft guard for $399 and a recon fee for $972. When we negotiated the price we told them they didnt need to do the reconditioning that we would do it. Ie. oil change, brakes etc. We stopped the purchase and spoke to the used car manager he said had we paid the higher price he would have waived those fees. He would not stand behind what the salesman told us. I would avoid this dealership at all cost. Im sure they thought they could slide those fees in. We have 30+ years of buying vehicles and have never been treated the way the manager treated us.
Repeat customer. I enjoy working with Champion. Derek and Travis were great to work with.
Super Bowl Team SolversI would like to acknowledge that I had excellent service during my 1996 Geo Tracker from the service group of John Cook, Dean Wagner and the service team at Champion Chevrolet Howell .I had checked around the area at several repair shops to analyze the problem with my Geo and received a lot of excuses why they couldn’t repair my vehicle. One phone call to Champion Chevrolet Howell I discussed my problem to John Cook and Dean Wagner and they said for me to bring it in and they will check it out. They set the schedule up and solved my problem with my vehicle. This proved to me that if you want to hear Excuses go to the minor leaguers, save your time and go with the Major Leaguers for Results at Champion Chevrolet Howell Mi.Geo John
The service department sucks the people that work there are so rude the salesmen are the worst they lie I will never go there again. Everyone living in livingston County and surrounding area dont go to this place there very very rude people go to dexter Chevy and u will be treated better plus there cars are very over priced I dont recommend this dealership
Mike was very helpful and easy to work with. No pressure to commit on the first visit, which was a nice change. We will be back.
My experience with Champion Chevrolet has been great. I have to personally name John Cook for being the most patient, accommodating sales representative I have spoke to in a long time. Melissa McGrain also deserves a thank you as she too was very polite, professional and was a great help on walking me through my features of the my new car. I would recommend this dealership bases just on those two representatives alone. Thank you for the easy, streamlines process.
My experience with Mike was fantastic! He was patient and knowledgeable and provided me with all necessary information.
I dealt with Helen Deline. She was awesome! She was able to get me into my dream car. She made the process so easy and painless. She is also very nice and respectful. John Cook is also awesome and always has been. I will keep coming back to Champion for the rest of my vehicles in the future.
Melissa made me feel extremely comfortable and put no pressure on me. She left everything up to me.
Flat out lied about required maintenance when I took my car in for a recall. I took my car in to address the recall and to get a rotation and oil change while there. Was told that I also needed to do emissions maintenance, brake fluid exchange and a fuel system cleaning. None of which are on GMs maintenance schedule to start. On top of that the oil life wasnt reset in the car and the tire pressure wasnt checked or they ignored one tire was 2 psi off from the others when I picked it up
I brought my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado in for an oil change recently, the first time using the service bay at this dealership. When I bought my vehicle from this same dealership, I was told I would receive a complimentary oil change. When I inquired about the complimentary oil change, I was told by the service team member that it had expired. I certainly dont recall the sales team telling me that my complimentary oil change would expire. Read the fine print is the lesson here I suppose!Three starts bc they were timely with the service which was appreciated. . .even though Im out almost $70.
Associate was very customer oriented.. he was polite, courteous and handled my service quickly.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful, but what I don’t understand is when I purchased my new vehicle I got 4 free oil changes, I have only used 2 and when I came in this time for my scheduled oil change I was told they expired and I had to paid for the oil change, I was never told there was a expiration date, or notify that they had expired until I showed up for my oil change, and all I was told was sorry but there isn’t anything we can do about it
Great customer service! They were able to fit me in for service and were prompt taking care of my needs
Quick check in…detailed explanation of services needed. Vehicle was finished ahead of schedule!
Exceptional service, friendly, knowledgeable people. Its the main reason Im willing to drive the distance, from my home, the have my vehicle serviced there!
We leased 2 Chevy Trax back in December, when they were offering employee pricing for everyone. Everybody there took excellent care of us! Hunter was our sales consultant. He was fairly new at the time, but did a great job! Katy handled the signing of our lease agreements...she was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Overall great experience.
They were very courteous and finished the job right on time.
Airbag sensor warning was on. Made appointment at Champion Chevrolet in Howell. Easy enough to do on line. Took 2018 Colorado in for service. Imagine my surprise when after repair the bill came up to $762.78. Unbelievable! Im not a mechanic and would not attempt to repair an item as important as this so I went to the pros. You can find the part online for near $100. How is $750 justified?
Made appointment to buy a vechicle. Bought insurance for that car and let them know I already bought insurance for it. Called the night before and on my long ride to dealership called again. They thanked me for the heads up but forgot to mention that the vechicle I was going to purchase was in the process of being sold while I was on the long drive there. My family said I was treated poorly.Champion sent me to their sister dealership down the road Champion Buick.. I was very upset. I decided not to buy a car and asked them not to run my credit and they said they didnt. I was glad it was over. On my way home 40 minutes into the drive I received a ding on my credit report and this bad experience dropped my credit 10 points. Im pretty disappointed all I got out of this experience was frustrations and a ten point drop on my credit report. Never Again- Theyboth companies were very unprofessional and could have just told me on the phone that the vechicle I was going to buy was gone instead of making things a mess for me. I want my credit back I really needed my decent score they took that from me.
I find Champion to be the best Chevy Dealership in Livingston County.
This is my second of two current vehicles, purchased with Robert Mineau. Working with Bob was a pleasure!! During the purchase process, conversation was as if I was with a family member or close friend. I was always at ease, never pressured and every step was explained clearly. The test drive was also excellent as he put me in the car and said go. Again I was trusted as family. The mix of personal chat and get it done was awesome!!
First dealership I actually liked. Easy to deal with and pretty straight forward. Everyone was friendly and seamed like they enjoy there jobs. I thought the bucket tourer at the end is a smart gesture. I love my truck!
Melissa was great! I drove in with my old car and left in my new one the same night! Very quick and efficient!
Logan is awesome he makes the process seem so simple and quick! He has gotten me in and out and put me in great vehicles! He has helped me with all of my vehicles would 10 out of 10 recommend!
Tom and Trevor took very good care of my car. They are super nice to deal with and they communicate regularly with you. 10+ stars.
T.J. Was fast, friendly and helpful. I would definitely request him again as my service agent.
Everything was addressed easily, I was told what what was going on and my car has been just fine.
Terrible experience! Dont try to sell your car here. Waited 50 minutes because they dont know how to take care of their customers. Finally when someone came to discuss what price I was looking for they told me that they dont have time to play games after I waited almost an hour.... Gave them my idea for a price and was told we were thousands of dollars off and essentially walked off. Couldve worked something out if he tried, oh well! Was also told they drove my car, but I watched it the whole time and it never left the parking spot...visit at your own risk.
My son was a first time car buyer. He couldnt of had a worst experience! He declined, multiple times, the tire and windshield coverage. Come to find out, the financial guy signed him up for it anyway. He also never applied the GM discount! This has been a horrible experience and we have gone there for the last time!
Bought a 2019 equinox last month. List price was 19,500. Paperwork wasnt done when we picked up the vehicle. After looking it over they sold it at 21,000 with 2k additional extras that was supposed to be included. Out the door price was 24,700!!!! Totally dishonest people and we will be fighting for our list price. This people can not be trusted
Bob Mineau is great. 3rd car we’ve purchased from him. He makes the process so simple.
Not happy that my new blazer blew its engine but the process was smooth, courteous and fast even though they had to order the engine.
Not impressed with the credit union they forced on me. I was preapproved through my bank and insisted they could get me a better deal. Which it wasnt, it was the same APR. So now i have to refinance to my bank after a month.
Great work. Excellent customer experience
Took a leased car here to for body work, knowing it would be more expensive, but wanted no issues at lease termination. GM Financial still charged me $600 for shoddy work. $150 because paint was too thin! More for overspray under the hood, etc. GMF said I needed to work it out with Champion, which refused to do anything. I had purchased or leased 7 vehicles from Champion, this will be my last, for myself and extended family.
Easy scheduling, easy drop off, and was communicated to about work being done.
I was looking for a very specific truck and had been doing research for about 5 months. I found the perfect truck at a great price. Having done extensive research, I know for a fact the price on this truck and all of the features it included was the lowest in the country. These guys were extremely helpful through out the entire process. Me being from Colorado, they had to do some extra work and send me tons of pictures and answered all of my questions. I ended up flying out to Michigan and driving my truck back to Colorado. Very happy with my purchase and with the overall service these guys provided. I only wish they had a dealership in Colorado.
Helen my sales person did an outstanding job in helping to resolve some issues that we ran into and me into the vehicle I wanted in one day. She is excellant
Avoid at all costs if you’re looking for a used car. I’ve never seen a collection of shady people in one location quite like this before. I won’t name names, but I dealt with enough to believe dishonesty is the culture of this place. However, if you enjoy cross-state wild goose chases for stock images of vehicles that don’t exist, then maybe this is the place for you. Maybe you’re a sales or marketing student; this would be a great place to get some exposure to all the dirty sales tactics. Or if you’re into psychology or criminal justice, Champion Chevrolet will expose you to the verbal and nonverbal cues of lying in very short order.
Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. Salespeople seemed to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
We visited many car dealerships searching for (2) cars. Most of them: 1) did not have much inventory, 2) did not show much interest in selling cars, 3) were rude and dishonest. We went to Champion Howell and Travis Baker showed us several cars and helped us find the combination of cars, features and prices that helped us settle on two in the same day. Thank you Travis for your patience / persistence / honesty and integrity! We plan to send other folks your way. Well worth the drive from the Lansing area!
I always feel welcome and treated very well whenever I call champion Chevrolet for a service or questions of any kind about my 2021 Chevy Colorado. You guys are wonderful continue your great service and you will go far.Deanna
My son purchased a truck (2013) from Champion 7-8 months ago. We recently found that the frame was cracked in two spots. After talking to DERRICK the used car manager at Champion, he said there is nothing they can do to help. I talked to frame shops (champion sent us to frame shops) who said this didnt happen in 7-8 months. Please have your own person check out your vehicle as Champion wont stand behind mistakes they make. The truck is unsafe to drive as the frame can break at any point. Champion refused to put it on a hoist which should tell you something!!! I will never purchase a vehicle from them and will tell any and all NOT to go there!! AWFUL SERVICE!!!!!! I would not give them even one star but to post this it makes me do at least one!!
Offered us $1500 for our 2012 buick regal with 130,000 miles. Only issues are an exhaust leak and A/C just went out. So we left. Good thing cause two other dealerships (including another chevy) offered us 4,000!
Our sales person, Helen Deline did a great job! She worked very hard to fine us a Trailblazer and she was very thorough in explaining the Trailblazer when she delivered it to us. Very happy!Gary V. Gorniak
Logan Richardson was great to work with. Helped me from start to finish and was there to answer all my questions. Will definitely recommend family and friends to Champion and Logan.
Kayley was a great sales professional to deal with, she had extensive knowledge on the Chevy Bolt I purchased.
My car was done faster than expected! Thanks!
Don’t go here if you’re looking to buy a used car let alone finance it I’m not gonna lie I felt a lot of shady things going on not gonna say names but when I came to finance a vehicle I told them I wanted to finance the vehicle with my bank which I knew I was gonna get approved automatically with the credit score I have they decided to do it with the bank they were comfortable with and come to find out that bank charged me a premium worth of interest thankfully I was able to refinance it with my bank and get a lower interest rate also please make you bring a mechanic with you when you go to buy a used car from them, they try their best to hide imperfections and problems wrong with their cars, you would notice it unless you do a thorough inspection
Mike at Champion Chevrolet in Howell made the buying experience fun, efficient, and easy! Phone calls and questions were answered quickly and the staff was knowledgeable in their field. Thank you!
From body work, to paint, to service, these guys do a fantastic job. Top notch work at great prices. Highly recommended.
I tried to buy a 2003 Corvette Electron Blue Z06 with 11k miles on it for there asking price and there used car manager would not communicate with my guys to secure this car and now looks like they sold this car to some random that probably won’t even drive the car. I’m so disappointed I really wanted this car.
I went there recently and test drove a vehicle listed for the mid 3k range. When I came back from the test drive I asked if they would take 3k plus the taxes. The salesperson did the usual go to the my manager routine. They came back and not only did not give in but had an out the door price of almost 46 or 4700 bucks!I can understand the taxes which shouldve been around 200 but almost 35 percent of the listed price in BS fees and whatever else was tacked on!The rep said we can give you a breakdown if you want as if this was SOP and Im just supposed to accept it to which I responded that is not going to work and I walked out. They keep calling and texting me now saying they have great news! This is the experience as generically as I can describe it for all to see. Im not mentioning names or anything because I suspect this is the entire culture! Ive given my number of stars, draw your own conclusions!
My used car salesman Scott was very nice. However the used car manager seem to have been Irritated or offended when questioned the price discrepancy between what he considers a fair price and what is listed on Kelley Blue Book where I the 2001 c5 vet for sale.
Kaylee was incredibly helpful, and got me the deal I was looking for. We drove from Portland to Howell, a little over an hour away, and will do it again! I had nothing but a fantastic experience!
I want to personally thank Trey Conner of Champion Chevrolet in Howell for the wonderful service and help into my new equinox. He helped me select the right vehicle with all the necessary requirements inside the vehicle and then made it affordable! I highly appreciate his patience in showing me the ins and outs of the vehicle. After I signed all the paperwork Trey spent over an hour answering all my questions and helped me figure how to operate each individual button in my new equinox. I encourage everyone to come to Champion Chevrolet of Howell to see Trey Conner for ALL of your car needs. You wont be disappointed.
Very friendly got everything taken care of fast had my new truck delivered within a few hours.
My tires did not get checked when I got my oil change. I had 33 in my tires when I brought it in. When I got up the next day for work and drove 40 mns to work the tires x2 started alarming 28! They are supposed to be at 35. So, did they not check? I filled them up myself and no problems since. My on star can prove my theory if this is questioned, they alerted me. Please make sure what they check off is really done. I should have to recheck myself we pay good money for this service and I have been a customer for over 20 years. Thanks
Melissa McGrain was excellent. I felt immediately comfortable with her and she answered all my questions and I didn’t feel rushed at all.Sherry was also great about answering my questions about financing.
Helen is the best! Great salesperson! She is a great representative of your company and a fine individual!
I was referred to Champion Chevrolet in Howell by a family member. My 2 sons and I went in there to buy good used cars for them. While we were looking through the lot, Scott Lambert came and introduced himself to us. He was very polite and professional. I explained to Scott what I was trying to do for them and that I may also want to trade my truck in for something better with gas mileage. Scott went to work and made 3 deals happen with no issues or concerns. He worked hard through out the whole process and made sure we were taken care of. He was professional, honest, and fun to work with. I would recommend Scott Lambert to my friends and family any day of the week and will use him in the future as well. I have found a new car guy.
Melissa did a great job and was well prepared upon my arrival. The whole process was easy and went by in a timely fashion, which I appreciated.
Very friendly staff. Got a great deal on a beautiful Trax. My salesman was very helpful helping with my decision to buy and show all the details of operating my new car. Thanks Bob Mineau. You made this a great experience!
Just a simple tire rotation and oil change done on my Equinox. Super friendly and helpful staff. I Will definitely return for all my service needs.
Be careful with the service department here.First, the good news. Ive never had any issues with the mechanics, theyve always done a good job with my car.I have a Chevy Equinox Premier Diesel and I had called the service department and asked how much the 30,000 mile service would cost, including an oil change. The person I talked to told me it would be about $80.When I arrived for my appointment, I worked with TJ and told him I wanted the 30K service and I had a couple of other things to get checked out. He put in the information, then handed me a printout which listed an (estimated) cost of $1474.82 for the 30k service, including oil change. This list included fuel injector service, coolant service (drain and fill!), transmission fluid exchange!, brake fluid exchange!, driveline service (whatever that is), an alignment, and battery terminal service. When I inquired about some of these services, TJ told me they were recommended by GM. He also said something about modern cars needing more frequent fluid changes. Tell that to my 1997 Jeep Cherokee which has 258,000 miles and has never had its transmission fluid changed and it has never had a transmission issue.Heres the fun part. According to the owners manual for my car, brake fluid, and coolant should be replaced every five years. My car is a 2019 model. The maintenance schedule for trans fluid is 45k miles (which I still think is excessively short). Most of what was recommended for the 30k service was completely unnecessary. Needless to say, they did not perform that service.I am appalled by the attempt to have unnecessary services performed with unnecessary expense for this stage of my vehicles life.As a comparison, the dealership I purchased the car from does not recommend any of those unnecessary services, but that dealership is too far away from me now for service.Buyer beware - know the maintenance schedule for your own car and if you choose to get it serviced at this dealership, dont let them talk you into unnecessary services.
Dean Wagner was wonderful to work with! He made the service process on my Chevy trax effortless for me. Well done! Thank you Sir!
My salesperson was Kayley, and I must advise General Motors to keep her.She was every bit the professional, multi-tasking, getting everything in order and at the same time making me feel like I was the most important person there that day.. On a scale of one to ten, Kayley gets a ten...oh, yeah, so does the csr. 👍
I been purchase my first pick-up truck Colorado and second pick-up truck Silverado model 2021 Duramax Diesel (Z71)perfect all,I love it and everybody nice people....
I have purchased cars from Champion and Helen Deline for 10 years. She understands my wants and needs, asks questions to learn more and then looks for the best options for me. There is an honest and fair interchange of ideas and prices for my trade-in.
Worst service department and sales I have EVER seen!!!!! Champion....lol. reject is more appropiate!!!
Always friendly and organized. They always have everything ready to go to make my new lease purchases seamless to get in and out at an exceptional time frame!! Will continue to keep coming back!
Excellent experience from the moment I walked in the door till the time I took delivery!
Sales staff were very helpful to ensure the Wife and I got into the vehicle that was best for us
Dean went above and beyond in his time & patience in helping Me ( & my Brother) with a very expensive service Bill at this time of Year! Thank You again We have always been happy with Champion Chevrolet of Howell, Stay Safe and enjoy the Holidays! Merry Christmas!
Excellent service from start to finish! Very happy ☺️
Dealer ship was clean and organized, employees were friendly and helpful, great dealership. Id recommend my salesman Jake who went above and beyond.
This was my very first visit to Champion Chevrolet for service on my vehicle and I had a great experience. The staff was very inviting from the moment I pulled into the service center for an appointment I had reserved for an oil change, as one of the advisors by the name of Dean could tell I was not very excited to spend my Saturday there, so he began cracking jokes to ease the tension I was apparently giving off lol. The advisors (I worked with two of them) took the time to show me the current state of the different fluids in my car, and also the results of my vehicles tire and braking tests (something I had never been shown before in the past). This all was such a breath of fresh air compared to other dealerships I have been to in the past for service on my vehicle, as they made me feel like an actual human being rather than just another number on the list of appointments. Thank you for a positive experience!
Melissa was the most understanding, low pressure car sales person I have ever had the pleasure of working with to find the best option for me. I will continue to use this dealership because of her and because of the low pressure atmosphere here.
Efficient, timely great communication
Very awesome personal experience from working with Helen to Jerry!
All staff were very pleasant and informative. Very nice place. Vehicle prices are reasonable. Would recommend to other people. Thank you.
Scam ..Charged my car warranty and didnt do the work.. Engine light still on ..went to Auto Zone and was informed that my emissions pump was bad..wow
This was the best experience I had in buying a new car. Thank you Tony, Melissa and M.J. you were awesome!
Mike, and everyone at Champion Chevrolet, were very helpful and knowledgeable. I was in a hurry and they got my new Trax ready for me right on time.
Easy process didnt even have to leave my house! Car was delivered to my door with a few papers to sign and it was done. A+++++++
