Maggie bent over backwards to find me a great upright piano to rent. From the time I get in touch with her to when it was delivered was less than 3 days! Houston Piano Company works quickly, efficiently, and fair. I am so happy I chose to rent from them!
I have not been here. But after reviewing the website which says rentals start at $25, I called to ask and she said $50 per month with a minimum of 6 months. For $400 - $500 I can get a good quality digital piano with weighted keys so why wouldnt I rent when I could just sell the piano if my child doesnt like lessons!
I had a wonderful experience here! Phenomenal selection varying from the practical budget piano all the way to the most prestigious concert grands. I was under absolutely zero pressure to make a purchase and was given all the time I wanted to play pianos until I was certain of which one I wanted. Fortunately after picking around for a while I ran across this 53 Geyer and fell in love. This piano fits exactly what I wanted. Financing was also a breeze. Specific thanks to Dave, the salesman.
Maggie is the best. She is so kind and very helpful. While we were looking around the shop, she explained every piano in detail. We were very impressed by her friendly service. Thank you Maggie!
Houston Piano Company is one of the most accommodating music stores in town when it comes to recital hosting for piano teachers like myself. They have a recital room where professional lighting and sound engineer makes all the difference. With a wide selection of pianos, it is a one-stop shop for every needs of a piano student. My students had great experiences purchasing pianos over the years with the Chinese Piano Lady - Maggie. I highly recommend her professionalism in the industry. If you are looking for honesty, quality, efficiency, and best price in Houston, she is the person to call.
We just had delivered our like new Schaeffer & Sons baby grand player piano from Houston Piano Co. and love it!Larry was our salesman and he gave us time, lots of info, and made our shopping experience grand! When we had questions during sale and even day of delivery on a Saturday evening he talked us through our questions on operation of the player system. He even threw in a few free player CDs for us....The store has a huge selection of variety of pianos, all budgets, and always changing. Their policy of 100% value credit for trade-in to trade up if ever want newer/bigger, etc is nice too.Purchase includes a tune-up/detail of piano after sitting in its new home a few weeks to ensure the sound is optimal and as good or better than in the showroom. The piano delivery folks from Elite Piano Movers were great too... they called with ETA and again when on way. They moved our old upright to another room for us and were very careful and clean and friendly.
I run a local in-home music school and have worked with Houston Piano Co several times over the last couple years utilizing their beautiful recital hall (and awesome scheduling coordinator Lauren Daher) and referring families to them for piano purchase and rental. The staff is knowledgable, helpful, and they are always very responsive in their communication. Purchasing/renting from them is a great way to support a local and great business!
Very professional and wonderful group of people! Great customer service!
Great place. Very patient and helpful customer service.
We had such a great experience here! They took extra time to really talk us through the piano buying process. We had a tough time deciding between two pianos and they graciously allowed us to come in many times and play. Maggie talked us through the pros and cons and we never felt pressure. Highly recommend!!
Was under the impression that the company would come out to look at the piano and give an estimate on repair and restoration. I emailed to get an appointment and the response was, it is cheaper to get a new piano. Nothing else was said. This was enough to realize that would not want to do business with them. They sound pretty lazy.
Just spoke to a person over the phone who was extremely rude and unwilling to give information.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dave Smith when he came by my home to evaluate my grandmothers New York Grand Model B Ebonized, N.A. New Action, completed on June 24, 1935, as Concert B (CB-23).His knowledge of the piano was very impressive, his working knowledge of all the parts and pieces as well as his ability to disassemble and reassemble were impressionable.Super nice, very professional and a pleasure to work with. Thanks,
Owning a baby grand piano has actually been a dream of mine for 20 years. Maggie at Houston Piano Company helped me find the perfect fit - she gave me an overview to help me narrow my favorite type (European), let me borrow a layout for my house so I could live with the size prior to buying, and gave me time to play different pianos to determine that the Ritmuller grand would best fit my style. Thank you for helping find my perfect baby grand piano!
All I can say is: MAGGIE...I was given such hospitality, such kindness, and such professionalism from Houston Piano Company. They have a wonderful assortment of brands and style. They have exactly what youre looking for.If you need a piano... Maggie KNOWS what you need...She knows more than you know...
This place is incredible. Maggie P showed me around and allowed me to compare and contrast the different pianos. She is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. She shared her knowledge and explained the stubble differences between touch, brightness and depth in the different models, styles and brands. I would gladly give my business to this place any day.
Horrible I called and they were so rude.
We had the pleasure of working with Maggie to purchase an upright piano for our family. Since I do not play I was very apprehensive about ending up with a piano that was more than we needed or could afford. Maggie put me right at ease and helped me to feel comfortable throughout the whole process. She made sure we purchased one we were knowledgeable about and comfortable with the payments, all while making sure it was the best piano we could afford! We will absolutely be back to see her when it is time to upgrade and will refer her to all of our friends! Thanks Maggie!
We bought a high end player piano just in time for the holidays. They delivered on time and although we had to scratch our heads some to get all the IPAD blue tooth connections organized and functional, it played all sorts of great songs Houston Piano Company pulled together for us in advance of delivery. Maggie was great. Good job guys!
My buying experience at Houston Piano Company was wonderful! They have such an extensive inventory of every brand, type and style of piano you can imagine. Maggie Pollio gave me a most informative and comprehensive tour, answering all my questions and providing information on each specific brand and piano that I was interested in seeing. I must have missed the sales pitch as Maggie let the pianos speak for themselves exemplifying all the things she had informed me of. I felt very comfortable and pleased with my selection which was beautiful in both appearance and timbre. From the selection process to signing the purchase agreement all went very smoothly and favorably impressive to me.Thanks Houston Piano Company and Maggie for a great experience.
We loved our experience purchasing a piano here. There is an extensive selection of pianos to choose from in multiple buildings. The best part was our salesperson, Maggie, who was incredibly helpful and devoted a lot of time to educate us (first-time piano buyers) on all the factors to take into account when purchasing a piano, like the sound/voice and feel. If you have a little extra time to spend and are inexperienced or first-time piano buyers, the background and education Maggie provided was incredibly helpful, and made us feel confident we were choosing the best piano for our budget and preference in sound. Additionally, we felt the prices were excellent and the full future trade-in value is an amazing feature, giving us an added sense of security in our purchase.
Stopped by today to pick a piano for both me and my daughter. I was surprised by the Wide Range of Piano Selection here, both Acoustic and Digital. Larry was very Patient and Knowledgeable Answering All Kinds of Questions about Selecting a perfect Piano for our family. If you are in the market for a new piano, I strongly recommend you to at least check this place out. You will not be disappointed.
Very rude and not helpful when requesting information about classes. Whoever answered the phone sounded like he was bothered I called.
Houston Piano Company was recommended by our piano teacher. She was nice enough to come with us to the store to help us in selecting our first piano for our kids who are about to start their lessons. One piano with Taylor brand was picked in haste and purchased. We called them back in about 2 hrs after we got home to cancel. Then, they tell us they have to charge us 6% to cancel and refund the money minus the 6 %. You be the judge when doing business with them
Delighted with the service that Maggie P. my sales associate offered at Houston Piano Company. She spent a lot of time helping me choose the best baby grand for our home. Lots to choose from. Highly Recommend!
Wow! This is a gem in the Heights! Beautiful establishment and the staff were very accommodating. They took the time to educate me with all the different brands and styles. This was the first stop on my list of piano stores to visit and after shopping around I was pleased to make my purchase at the Houston Piano Co. My decision was based on competitive pricing and the education I received from the staff. If you are looking for a piano I would definitely stop here.
My experience here was phenomenal! Such a wide selection of pianos available and I was able to make a choice with the extremely knowledgeable help of Maggie Pollio. I love my piano, and cannot thank her enough for helping me find it!
Great place to get a piano. They have knowledgeable owners who will help you find a piano for your space and to your liking. Their performance space is phenomenal and we are excited to bring our concerts here!
Excellent Experience - Maggie took the time to explain to us all our options (rent versus own), the different types of pianos, the brands etc. We didnt feel hurried to purchase but ended up choosing a great piano! They also never forget to send us the tuning reminders every year. Great customer service and after sales support.
I spent several weeks coming to the store and playing all of the pianos! Maggie Pollio was very helpful and patient with me, and was informative and supportive through my buying process. I ended up with an A. Geyer 411 baby grand and Im very happy! I still visit and they continue to help me with the regular tuning and moving of the piano. Ive been coming to this place since I was a child and the family friendly environment is warm and welcoming! Thanks again Maggie!
It seems like a good company, however I just tried to go in to try to play the different options, and the sales associate sort of hovered and kept trying to ask about my credit and I just kept trying to make it clear that I wanted to play for a second before I made any decisions and he kept trying to drive in the fact of trying to make things happen today so I just kind of walked out
I stopped by and spoke with Maggie Pollio. She was so informative and helpful with making a decision. She showed me many different pianos and explained how and why they sound different and to identify the sound I am looking for in my own piano. I am renting one for now and with time hope to purchase. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with an interest in playing, renting or purchasing. All the people were kind and helpful, no one was snobby or rude, which is something I was afraid of since pianos seem to be a high end sort of thing. Looking forward to taking lessons in the near future.
Actually, I want to give them without any star! The sale man talked with us was awful and without any patience! Initially, we planed to order with group buy, he didnt mention the group buy will be end soon. Then I mailed the check one month later, and he didnt give me any response in one month, even I email or call him. Finally, I caught him to talk, and he blamed me on missing the purchase deadline. And he said It my fault and I should pay more to get the same piano because the price changed. His attitude was very bad, he yelled STOP, STOP, STOP! I was so shocked by his attitude! I was very angry to talk anything with him. Just get my check back! THE WORST SALE MAN!
If you need a piano and would like to try one of the extensive collection of pianoes they have, then its the place to go to. They are kind and very friendtly. Nice place.
Its understandable that salespeople are in the business of selling not charity. So some marketing tactics are acceptable, but it seems the salesperson I dealt would say anything to make a sale. It was just one lie after another. I tried to be nice and politely pointed out the facts, but she wouldnt stop spinning. In the end, my experience with HPC was a waste of time and unnecessary stress. I walked away and will probably never go back there.
Called them to inform them about how horrible their drivers are speeding through school zones (more then one) they did not care and did not want to do anything about it.
Houston Piano Company is everybodies premier source for affordable, beautiful, and even luxurious pianos. There service is paramont and second to none. The specialize in putting people first and I appreciate them for that.
Great piano store, they will find the keyboard instrument thats right for you.
Houston Piano Company, provides groups and individuals with New And Used Pianos. I would have to say they have the best prices in town. In general, HPC is a comfortable space a relaxed environment. They have a real talented team of professionals, 2 show rooms and a real performance theaters of all things. Full out pro lighting, LED Flat Screens, HD sound and video equipment to capture their events and music residuals. I would have to give HPC 5 stars,You Rock!!
Huge selection. Most of the people that work here are very friendly. Maggie was a pleasure to work with. Id go back here.
Extremely poor customer service. Asked about a purchase and instantly the owner became argumentative and hostile. Would stay away from this establishment
Good job
Remarkable place 🙈
