Nowadays, it is rare and seldom that large operations take care of the little guy. Texas Iron and Metal Co is the exception. They consistently treat everyone that walks through their door with respect and take time to help even a small hobbyist gather materials for garage products. I am not a big time buyer and it was apparent when I walked in, but that did not deter them from being professional and patient when I asked questions.Team members of note are Ariel Reichenthal and Carlos (I did not get his last name) the forklift operator. Both Identified my areas of ignorance and helped steer my in the right direction to solve my problems. Ariel was able to help me budget for my projects by identify cost saving solutions and provide me with prices to help my estimates. Carlos was able to rapidly identify common shapes of commonly used steel and saved me from requesting a price for every type of less prime steel in the yard. Both saved me tremendous time, unnecessary expense and have secured a lifelong customer for Texas Iron and Metal Co.

I called up Texas Iron & Metal with a bit of an abnormal request and Ariel was incredibly helpful from start to finish. As someone who doesnt know the piping industry very well, I was very impressed with how willing Ariel was to educate me on the basics so that I could make an informed purchase. I highly recommend giving them a call with any of your needs. They pride themselves in providing a high quality customer experience, and they delivered in spades.

These guys were amazing to work with! I just had a little $50 order on my visit today but they still treated me like total professionals. Everything about my transaction was spot on and very quick. I think I was on the phone maybe ten minutes with Thomas getting my order setup and later this afternoon it was ready for pickup, I think was at the yard for only twenty minutes before they were loading my car. Prices were stellar too, more than 1/3 cheaper than other quotes I found for my order.As a hobbyist it can sometimes be difficult to buy from commercial suppliers. Not all shops like dealing with small orders, or have patience for individuals who dont quite know what theyre doing yet when ordering. Not so at Texas Iron and Metal, I was 100% treated like a valued customer even though I was just getting $50 worth of tubing loaded in my Honda while other customers were having flatbeds loaded with Serious Steel. As a hobbyist having access to commercial grade service, materials and prices is an amazing luxury. Texas Iron and Metal will be my first call on future orders.I was also impressed with their covid precautions, all staff and customers were masked when interacting, even out in the yard.

Cameron made ordering a custom CNC cut steel plate a breeze. There was a slight hiccup with my order, but Andres and Cameron straightened it out and Im very happy with the results.

Needed a bunch of steel for our new gym build out - TIM was by far the least expensive out of many others that we had quoted and was able to get us everything we needed. The free delivery to boot was extremely helpful. When we mistakenly got some mis-cut lengths, they quickly resolved and had the replacements out to us only a week later and picked up the returned items at no cost to us. Dan stuck with us the whole time and was extremely communicative. Will be back in the future.

I sent a email asking some questions and Cameron Wentworth replied back promptly. He answered all my questions and sent me a quote with a price. I showed up to pick up my material (I had a piece of 4x10 1/4 steel plate) they had it cut to my dennison and ready for pickup. A gentleman by the name of Vasquez was up front and waited on me, he was very friendly and professional and helped expedite the loading and was a big help. They were busy but worked as quickly as possible to make it a quick trip. If you need any material I highly suggest to come here. I will most definitely be back.

Dan is the man.I had a crazy deadline on a crazy project.Dan was able to fill the order, coming up with several Surplus and Drops that saved about $800. He followed through after the initial sale with the MCRs for our welding inspector and a 1 hour 4PM Friday piece we had to have.Always available in a timely fashion.Everyone I spoke to over there knew their business.

When I arrived the team was just finishing up the preparation (cutting) and everything was ready for the 10am scheduled will-call. Vasquez had the truck loaded in no time and I was off to my project. Friendly and helpful staff, even helped me last minute pick out some drop steel needed for beam connection. This is the 3rd time buying from them and I am certain I will buy from them again.

As a owner operator, this is the ideal place to drive to unload at. I was checked in, scaled in weight, unloaded and scaled out weight then checked out in less than 30 min. Awesome place for Semi-truckers whose time is $$$.

Im a truck driver, I delivered some steel beams to them. Everyone was super friendly and they got me unloaded very quickly. I was unloaded in minutes. They unloaded me way faster than it took me to untarp and unchain. Also there is a Chevron gas station 0.3 tenths away that has quite a bit of parking for trucks and food and diesel.

The staff was very knowledgeable and very very helpful. Mr. Vasquez was quick to greet me, measure and cut a somewhat complicated order of stainless steel next rods which I appreciate.
